Reviews for Villa Nela
Review 1:Bring mosquito repellent - loads! There is a small electric plug in the room, but this is far from sufficient... screens in front of the windows would have been much more efficient! Also, the matresses were quite thin, you could feel the springs.
Review 2:Location is great, with the swimming pool right next to the beach and Zadar not too far away! Also, the staff was very flexible with our late arrival, and the apartment was clean.
Review 3:The cleaning staff brought new towels often, but left them on the porch. They never went inside to mop the floor in the bathroom. Or to pick up the used towels.
Review 4:Villa Damir was beautiful. Very well kept house with a lovely garden directly at the beach. When the storm knocked out the WiFi router on a Sunday, it was replaced within 2 hrs. Great service.
Review 5:Kitchen a little limited if self catering. Only 1 air conditioning unit for whole villa which fine if happy to sleep with bedroom doors open
Review 6:Great location private garden with a gate onto the beach. Facilities in villa good with towels for beach provided. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 7:Internet was a bit patchy and sometimes very slow, but all the positives of the place more than made up for that.
Review 8:Loved the location of Vila Nela. It was out of the main town of Zadar, but still close enough to get there to explore. The pool and beach were fantastic for the kids to have a paddle. Excellent value for money.
Review 9:Appartment ageing a litte, with small kitchen. Difficult but no means impossible to self cater.
Review 10:Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful views. Pretty garden and (salt water) pool area. Friendly staff. Good location for relaxing. Not far from Zadar (20 min drive). V clean and well kept. Great balconies (spacious and well protected for small kids)
Review 11:We loved everything about Villa Nela. It is in a fab place near the beautiful town of Petrcane with lovely restaurants. The Villa has gorgeous views and the staff are fantastic. There is a great hairdryer in the bathroom and beach towels are also supplied so you don't need to take your own. There is a great beach bar and Kayaks and cycles are available. We loved it and would def love to go back
Review 12:Location outstanding very clean helpful staff that accommodated all our needs. Free use of bikes kayaks and snorkelling kit an added bonus. View from the apartment was better than expected. Beach bar handy.
Review 13:The cleaning could be more frequent.
Review 14:The pool was very good. The staff and management were excellent and did their absolute best to accomodate all our needs.
Review 15:We love Villa Nela and other properties under Velcektour management . This was our 4 th stay there . What's not to like?
Review 16:Mediocre rooms in a older building.
Review 17:Pleasant staff. Free kayaks.
Review 18:the view of the swimming pool and sea was absolutely beautiful
Review 19:Location - far from old town Water got strain smell
Review 20:Price
Review 21:Staff always ready to help. Location excellent. Relaxing environment. If you are not going during the busiest season is pretty cheap.
Review 22:Lovely location. Easy walk into the local town. A comfortable base to explore the region. Extremely helpful staff.
Review 23:Fantastic location. Great privacy. Very welcoming staff. Clear water for swimming. Lovely to have air conditioning and laundry.
Review 24:Great location, helpful staff
Review 25:Self catering had limited facilities, two ring stove, lots of crockery pots and pans, good sized fridge but no kettle toaster or microwave.
Review 26:Staff friendly helpful and very genuine. Great place to kick back and relax or have adventures. Kayaks and bikes would of cost a lot to rent but these were complimentary, what a bonus..
Review 27:Weren't lucky with weather e/April, possibly an exception as everyone pointed out, then again it was definitely still out of season and there must be a reason for that... Interior a bit basic but outdoors beautiful, with better weather we probably wouldn't have minded.
Review 28:Fantastic staff and very kind and helpful owner. Great pool, nice location. Loved the bikes and they even organized bike seats for the kids.
Review 29:Wifi : The wifi was meant only for checking emails. One could not reallywatch videos online with that connection.Facilities: Since it was a pre-season for the hotel, Swimmingpool was not ready. We really wished to be in the pool atleast if not in the sea ( because of the cold water) Location: The location is hard to reach with public transport from Zadar. With our own car we would definetly recommend the place. The village also offers the possiblity to buy things of daily use. Comfort: The bed was not so great the partition in between the two beds was really irritating. We found the mattresses a bit uncomfortable.
Review 30:Staff: The staff was really friendly and helpful. They arranged for ourreally late arrival.Location: Villa Nella is directly situated at the seashore and have offers a great view. Value for Money: Overall value for money. Nice balcony, very calm and peaceful. Fully functional kitchen and a really good refrigerator to store enough food items for a week long accomodation.
Review 31:mosquitos
Review 32:Very friendly and welcoming staff; good location - directly at the sea, not far away from the town of Zadar and Nin that can be reached by bicycle; nice sea view. We booked a studio but we had a very spacious superior two-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette and a balcony although we were for one night only. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Nela and definitely would stay there again.
Review 33:It was cool & rainy when we were there, so we couldn't eat outside at the patio table which means you manage however you can as there is no table inside. The sofa bed looked like it had never been cleaned, it was filthy. The extra blanket we needed for night time was dirty and had disgusting stains on it. They could spring for some new blankets & you wouldn't feel creeped out by using them. The gals on the front desk didn't hesitate to get us replacements, they were very good at their jobs.
Review 34:The staff were excellent! The location was great, Petrcane is a cute little town & we had a great supper there. The walk is very pretty along the bay & is well lit up at night.
Review 35:Sadly - Awful kitchen which should not be even promoted as a kitchenette, it has a very old hot plate not even a kettle:(( virtually no kitchen utensils, we always bring our own( learning our lesson the first time) starting with a wooden spoon, frying pan, salad bowl, kettle, chopping board.. Such a schame as so little is needed just to buy few cheap wooden spoons , frying pans , kettles to make guests' stay less stressful... :( Bathrooms desperately needs renovation. The shower drain in not draining well, you have to wait 20 minutes for dirty water to drain away, not a single hook to hang your bathrobe for example ... Again so easily fixable :( Nowhere to put your shampoos inside the shower. so you end up putting them at the bootom of the shower in that not draining dirty water ....:(.I stayed in all 3 types of Nela's app and the best one out of all is ste studio. Surprisingly . Not the large duplex. In the 2 bed appartment was so much noise, perhaps because we stayed on the ground floor. Never again. The worst thing this time was , when a large group of Ukrainian guests arrived they were partying until late night right above us.throwing cigarette ash on our towels drying below... Etc. . No concideration whatsoever for other guests.the lovely receptionist tried to tell them to be more conciderate they ignored her:( Then they started in the morning all over again and the sadest thing was that the owner or some manager did not do anything about it. As we had a sleepless night and was a day before we were supposed to leave, we asked for a bill a day earlier :( we basically lost the best day of our whole stay as that day the sea finally wormed up to a nice temeprature.... We really had no choice but to leave as no one instructed the undisciplined guests to be conciderate towards the rest of the guests:(:( .. Thats just a fraction of the horror of our last day.
Review 36:This was my 3 rd stay at Villa Nela. The reason why I always return is a very beatiful and large garden with natural shade , dog friendly accomodation, padded beach loungers, wanderful receptionsts Kristina and Goranka. 2 perfect people! great handy guys - very helpful!! and proximity of the sea. These are the main and only benefits, and my priorities for which I can put up with all the disadvantages of this accomodation to a certain degree. And there are many.:(:( It all depends on each traveller's priorities. If you are looking for a decent bathroom and at least an avarage kitchen and peace and quite in the morning and in the evening, this is not a place for you. Our dog loves the garden , ,my husband loves the shade under the pine trees, and I love the sea so we all have some reason to return again and again . Good beds, Beatiful view. Easy journey . Very nice guests for the most if our stay, very cultivated, well behaved, considerate to the rest if the guests... I repeat, until the certain point ... When the new larger group arrived.
Review 37:The living area was a bit cramped. The balcony had to serve as a dining area ( no problem when weather was good, but not when it rained.) Light bulb on balcony did not work and despite request it was not replaced. Kitchen area adequately equipped for preparing snacks, but not full meals. No electric kettle.
Review 38:The location is excellent as the Villa is fronted by a swimming pool and the coast. There is no road to cross. The gardens are well maintained and there are plenty of seats and loungers beneath the pines. Cycles and sea kayaks are available free of charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a peaceful spot with a shady bar nearby on the water's edge. The sunsets are magnificent. The apartment was clean and towels were replaced on alternate days. There was a good sized balcony. Quiet and restful. Nearby towns of Nin and Zadar were interesting to visit.
Review 39:Packed food expected fresh food ! Bitten to pieces by the bar area Tiny shower in bathroom hand held shower head
Review 40:Staff were friendly and helpfull Everywhere very clean great pool
Review 41:The prices are way too expensive comparing to the quality of accomondation and services. For that price you would get luxury hotel nearby. Kitchen is too small and immediately needs renovation. The accomodation generally is too old, uncomfortable and needs the renovation. The situation with mosquitos is really bad. Another thing is that if anybody in the house gets up early, you would be forced too get up as well, because of the noise and also the bar opens at 7am and the staff makes a big noise. The rooms are too small, as well. The entry to a sea is really strange and uncomfortable especially for children. There is one place for children near sea, where they can play and it is usually overcrowded. They really need to change their minds and renovate or go down with the price.
Review 42:The location is good.
Review 43:The breakfast provided for 8 EUR is a poor value for money.
Review 44:It is a great place for family with children offering different activities free of charge. There is a nice swimming pool, pleasant garden with plenty of shade and immediate access to the beach. A beach bar belonging to the villa providing service at the pool. Kayak, bicycle and ping pong rental is free of charge and provides entertainment for the children. Proximity to the village centre but enough calm and privacy. Proximity to Zadar.
Review 45:The kitchen utensils need an update:)
Review 46:We liked everything:) the best staff ever. There is no better location than this. Directly at the sea with a sea water swimming pool.
Review 47:Hmmm... Leaving. We definitely did not like leaving our new friends atVilla Nela.
Review 48:Everything. Upon arrival, the villas were very nice and the location wassuperb. The staff greeted us with smiles. The sea was so clear you couldsee the bottom in 20 feet of water. Staying at Villa Nela includedcomplimentary bicycles, sea kayaks and even a lift or 2 from the staffin the golf cart to nearby locations. The staff at Villa Nela was thebest. Warm, friendly and knowledgable. Our villa was comfortable, although we spent very little time there because there was so much toexplore. Bike rides to nearby Nin, sea kayaking and snorkeling as wellas visiting the old city of Zadar. The village of Petrcane has somegreat restaurants along with some fabulous sunsets. As you can imagine, seafood is fresh and the grilled squid... The best!We travel a lot and recommend Villa Nela to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday on the Dalmation coast. We cannot wait to go back!
Review 49:Lovely place, lovely people but unfortunately we were very unlucky with the weather - the worst in ten years apparently! Such a shame but would definitely return
Review 50:Nothing really that I didn't like. Sheets were a little thing and he guest manual could have been more detailed but other than that is was wonderful.
Review 51:The views were sensational. Staff were lovely. Was quiet, peaceful, tranquil.
Review 52:lovely place to stay
Review 53:Staff was great--helpful, friendly and welcoming! Beautiful location--and met some friendly locals while watching the sunset!

Review 61:The water in the apartment was brown. Not the most comfortable bed.
Review 62:Friendly staff Great location near the sea
Review 63:Excellent staff good situatuon travel into Zadar by bus few minutes walk right on water
