Reviews for Alexandros Palace
Review 1:The private beach that belongs to the hotel is not very nice. The quality of the breakfast was quite bad - lots of fake meat cuts, cucumbers and tomatoes are from last night's dinner, the yellow and feta cheese was really bad, never tasted anything like it. (huge lines for the pancakes). No internet connection except for at the bar. Some of these things make me wonder how they got 5 stars. It's a shame really as the facilities at the hotel are very nice.
Review 2:Great facilities, nice rooms, very well maintained pools, dinner was nice, staff was very caring, overall a great place to stay
Review 3:bar closes at 1am. so if you are hungry etc you will have to buy something before 1am. nevertheless, in our case staff was kind enough to provide us with something to eat!
Review 4:Very comfortable, nice location, clean, very kind staff
Review 5:Some of the staff didn't speak greek. Could not connect to wifi. Drinks and merchandise at mini market overpriced. Hotel policy weird: Even though booking.com reservation claimed my credit card had not been charged for reservation, it actually had. Furthermore, you needed another credit card reservation to be able to charge your drinks to the hotel room.
Review 6:Even though hotel was full, service was excellent. A damage in our room door was repaired instantly. The facilities were in very good condition. The walk to the beach safe end enjoyable. Beach OK, use car to get to better ones. Staff was helpful and very polite.
Review 7:The receptionists have a very bad attitude. If you dare to expose your unsatisfaction about something, they say just: "Anyway, you paid a small price for what you have received!" They are very arrogants and, after I complained about something, they simply didn't respond to my greetings (all the days after the incident). The staff from the restaurants doesn't speak English, and also they are very drowsy (you have to call them few times until they bring your order; one day, a waiter took the glasses full of drinks form out table while we was eating - nobody asked her to do this and we haven't asked the check).
Review 8:The view, the cleanliness.
Review 9:Chairs for infants in restaurant should be cleaned after every use which they are not. We were doing it by ourselves. There should be a better choice of fruit in the restaurant. Showers on the beach were not working. People are parking cars inside the hotel area and it ruins the atmosphere. They should build bigger parking outside of the area and all cars should be parked there.
Review 10:Hotel is nice overall. We had great time there/ Beach is really good, pool so, so. Food and atmosphere in restaurant is good. Was a real pleasure eating there. We were in grand suit and it is spacious and very nice in overall.
Review 11:-The garden view, was a stream out of the facilities -Hotel was payed from my credit card with no information instead of cash payment we had agreed -At the restaurant, spa etc we could pay only in cash. -Unpolite male receptionist at our arrival -Too crowded, not quiet enough -Pool is open only until 7 pm. -Very expensive bar & caffee -Crushed tiles in bathroom -Shared Balcony!!!! -Most of the staf didnt speak Greek!
Review 12:Low quality details for a 5star hotel No wifi Not so good beach, water is not clear Food quality (prefer the taverna rather than the restaurant)
Review 13:Cleanliness New rooms and nice pool at the 800 block but without sea view.
Review 14:1. breakfast was everyday the same! 2. the main chef of the restaurant was like a guardian, and making alot of remarks to the people. 3. poor internet coverage overall 4. beach infront of the hotel is good, but with many stones which are not comfort when you go into the sea, 5. not so interesting animation program. 6. not so much places for parking inside the complex, 7. Central A/C was working not effective sometimes.
Review 15:very friendly staff apart of the main chef/cook of the restaurant, good location, clean, beautiful landscape, nice taverna, good restaurant, good swiming pool, overal satisfied from the warm welcome there!
Review 16:We had deliberately booked a newer, modern room but we were 'upgraded' to a Junior Suite with sea view. The view was partially covered by overgrown trees, the room smelled fusty, the shower had to be hand held and the shower curtain should have been replaced long ago. The dress code for men in the restaurant seems unnecessary when 99% of diners sat outside on the terrace, where smoking was allowed, children ran around and at least one female guest was in running gear! Despite paying for half board, we only ate in there once. Food not labelled and rather 'mass catering'.
Review 17:Hotel is ideally placed for the ferry to Ammouliani Island which is beautiful and authentic Greece. All rooms very clean and lots of staff gardening etc. Easy walk to beach. Staff efficient. 2 large swimming pools, mostly deserted.
Review 18:Poor breakfast (in terms of food quality), old furniture, the gardens need some mentenance... The hotel needs some urgent investments if the owner still wants it rated as a 5 star... actually i would rate it as a 3-4 star hotel... on the other hand, there is a 5 star hotel near, spectaculos... but the price for a room is x3... also the tourists who come here are no regular customers of 5-star resorts... but.. in the end...what you pay is what you get...overall a pleasant experience
Review 19:Overall, a pleasant experience... very clean rooms, changed the bed sheets and towels daily... the seaview is great Nice and helpfull stuff, we wanted softer pillows and we got them
Review 20:There were many things that we were disappointed by and didn't expect with a 5 star hotel. For example, there was a scarce Wi-fi connection everywhere, except the reception area; there was а very low light in the bathroom; the shower could not be attached higher at the wall and it was so uncomfortable to take a bath; some of the electrical outlets were broken and we had to ask for repairs; some of the lamps didn't work;
Review 21:Nice pools and cafe, breakfast was Ok, Rooms were cleaned every day
Review 22:Wi-Fi was poor in the room, so I had to sit at the bar or reception.
Review 23:Staff were friendly and the room very spacious. The resort was clean and food very good.
Review 24:wifi
Review 25:Price and quality
Review 26:First, Hotel isn't situated in Ouranoupoli and it's not 5 star hotel. It is max. 3 star Hotel. Wi-Fi was the worst.
Review 27:Nothing
Review 28:Cleaning, food, location....etc....
Review 29:Only the price
Review 30:Very poor internet connection
Review 31:Does not deserve five stars. Poor both breakfast and dinner
Review 32:Location is quiet and suitable for those who likes quiet vacation far away from crowded places. Not bad value for money.
Review 33:We had some drinks at the pool bar-when we decided to move to thepool, the waitress came and told us that we cant drink from our glassesat the pool because it is forbidden-so we got the samedrinks(coffee, beer and shots)"moved" into plastic glasses-thetables (plastic) at the pool were totaly dirty and burned from cigarettes-I wouldnt care but gimme a break, this has nothing to do with a 5* hotelso I am wondering:who's counting the stars?Unfortenatly I had toleave the same day-so when I went to the reception to tell them that Ihave to check out, instead of asking if everything is ok they asked me ifI payed for my room(!!!).The hotel lies on a nice location but I wouldntgo there again only because I found it totally pretencious.
Review 34:Location was nice
Review 35:Excelent combination of architecture and vegetation. Good care forpools, plants, image. Varied and good food, beautyfool images from therestaurant terrace. Large rooms and balcony, good furniture, especiallyin the new wings of the complex.
Review 36:everything was ok
Review 37:Nice stuff, nice big suit, good food....
Review 38:Wi fi in the room didn't work.and its not five star hotel.
Review 39:there are not dressing-gowns, there are not pantofles, on breakfast there is not possibility to eat something, many guests etc.
