The Hotel Alpi is situated in Baveno, right in the heart of the Borromeo Gulf by the shores of Lake Maggiore.
The modern structure, completely renovated in 2004, is within walking distance of the center of town, where visitors can take the ferry to the Borromeo Islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatori. The train station is close by as well.
Across from the hotel is the Villa Fedora park, from which the composer Umberto Giordano took inspiration for his lyric opera, Fedora.
The public beach, very busy during the summer season, can be reached by crossing the park.
The hotel, run directly by the Rabaioli family for the last 40 years, offers a pleasant homey atmosphere combined with modern comforts. It is the perfect place for a business trip or to spend a relaxing vacation by the lake.

Review 1：The owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpfull. The have gladly answered all of our questions and there were many of them! They gave great advices and treated us with kindness! The view from the balcony was amazing!you could open your morning with a view to the whole lake! The restaurant at the hotel offers very very good,tasty and very nicely served dinner! Review 13：At a time like this when the internet is so widely used, restricting the Wifi access to only 1 person per room is not expected. Ofcourse the owner stepped in and gave us access to 2 people per room. But it would be better to give access to devices depending on atleast the number of beds in a room. For eg. we had a Triple room, so shouldn't we be getting 3 access codes instead of 1? We went in peak summer with temperatures above 35 degrees in the afternoons. The air conditioning was great but the hotel switches it off in the morning & turns it back on by 2.30 in the afternoon. This is inconvenient for those of us who wish to rest in the room during the earlier part of the day or before 2.30 p.m. as there is no fan in the room and the morning sun falls on the balcony making it too hot to open the balcony doors.

Review 27：Stayed for 4 nights, very good place. Excellent staff – mille grazie Arenso!! Quite and very clean hotel, it has more than what you need for few days stay. Location is excellent as well – plenty of attractions around: probably the best one, the boat for the islands is only couple of walking minutes away. Several restaurants in the village of Boveno – Cava and Post I would definitely recommend and would ignore Rangoon. Nearby city of Stresa has much more places to enjoy the food and the drinks.

Review 46：Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms with wifi. Good location, only 400m from the boats stop which take you to the famous islands. The owners are exceptional hoteliers, very kind and helpful, as well as the staff. Delicious breakfast, with a variety of Italian cookies and sweets.

Review 47：We spent a week at this hotel while we explored the western side of Lake Maggiore. The hotel is in an ideal position close to the centre of Baveno, the ferry port and the station. The room was spotless with a delightful balcony from which there were wonderful lake views. There is a well appointed terrace at the front of the hotel and ample parking too. The owners and staff at the hotel are quite exceptional. They are the most welcoming, obliging and friendly we have ever encountered - nothing is too much trouble. The bonus is the excellent restaurant where a substantial breakfast is served and where we ate a beautifully prepared and well thought out evening meal each day (even though it wasn't our intention to do so, we just couldn't bear the thought of missing it). Through the park opposite the hotel is a small beach and the hotel provides fresh beach towels at the entrance each day. At the beach is also a small bar where drinks can be enjoyed. We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly and, on top of all this, it is excellent value for money.

Review 48：A bit close to the street, but excellent noise proof windows.

Review 49：Very well located, opposite the hotel is a park, after a short walk in the park you end up at the beach. Although it is small, it is not too crowded. 100 m further is a supermarket, and a couple of hundred meters further the centre of the little village Baveno. Boats leave here for the islands. Dont forget to ask for a walking map, walking up the mountain (about 3-4 hours up and down) is a must, a bit of a challenge but worthwile doing it!

Nice breakfast and very convenient parking place right in front of the building. The hotel was very nicely furnished and decorated, with colors and flowers well thought of and combined with care. It is very easy to find the place if you go by car. The port with all the boats to the islands is just few minutes walk. We definitely recommend this hotel!

Review 53：Common with many hotels around the nearby road (with less traffic though at night) as well as the railroad on the other side gives noice. With closed windows and AC this is not a problem but with AC generally turned off in the hotel this time of the year (early September) it can be stuffy with windows closed and noicy with windows open. Therefore it would be better with AC option, even if the climate is not so hot. Excellent breakfast.

Review 55：We chose the hotel because of the high score, the position, the wifi and the fact there was airconditioning. We were disappointed on arrival to find that there was airconditioning in the hotel but that it was switched on less than half of the day and night and it happened to be quite muggy. Because of the busy road in front of the hotel it was difficult to sleep with the window open especially in the heat. The wifi was only free for one person and quite slow and kept cutting out.

Review 56：Most of the staff were very nice. The breakfast was not bad at all. We had terrible thunder storms one night and decided to eat there at very short notice, which they took in their stride; the food was excellent and the price very reasonable indeed. Plenty of towels. They even supply towels when you want to use the public beach across the park. Parking is a little tricky but usually everyone can be accommodated and it is free.
