Review 1：The owner was grumpy the whole time. Without knowing we speak Greek the staff at breakfast spoke unpleasant things about us. The breakfast is almost non existent. Some of the guests have been offered selectively different options for breakfast. Most of the time I felt we were facing negative reactions from the staff.

Review 3：The hotel is nicely located, on a hill, with the terrace facing towards the sea, thus giving it splendid view. It has a beautiful garden where you can relax, admire the sunset or have breakfast. Rooms are the cleanest we have ever seen in any hotel, have large beds and pretty much all the furniture you need. Air conditioning works great. You can also spend time on the balcony, where there is a table and chairs, if you brought your mosquito repellent cream. Everywhere on the hallways is a very nice and pleasant smell. Our host, Efi, was extremely kind and friendly and even offered to help us cool the freezer packs for our portable freezer box in the big fridge downstairs. Und sie spricht perfektes Deutsch! You have a small supermarket with basically all you need just near the hotel, and besides it there is also a good restaurant with fresh food. Beaches are close nearby, reachable in maybe 2-3 minutes, by car. We preffered the one in front of hotel Akti - clear water, relatively soft sand, good food at the beach bar. In conclusion, don't miss visiting Hotel Filoxenia! Extremely positive impression, nice and cosy, 11 points out of 10 for cleanness. Can't wait to return!

Review 6：Our favourite place on the whole of Halkidiki! Managed by three generations of a family, this place radiates warmth and hospitality. Regardless that it is not a 5* hotel with all the possible amenities, every single detail in the rooms and in the common areas is well-thought out and just in the right place. Ouranoupoli itself is a peaceful, non-pretencious, beautiful village where you could find anything you need to feel good and have some relaxing time. Great beaches around (our favourite is the Beach bar near Akrathos beach). Also great restaurants. Don't miss Athos and Kritiko - you find a bit more expensive but gourmet seafood there. Also, definitely rent a small boat from the beaches of from the harbour of the village and go on a tour around Amoulani island. Have lunch at the tarvern on the Donkey island....

Review 7：No plates or glasses in the room even though a fridge and microwave to prepare food... This was all provided as soon as we asked for it though so not really a complaint! Glasses for water in the room would be nice though

Review 11：the "road" to the beach is not quite cozy, there are some stairs in the ground but there are a lot of beaches more spectaculous at 5-10 minutes by car. A shower cabin is needed for bath.

Review 12：The hotel position is very good because, being on a hill, all balconies of the rooms and the garden in front of the hotel have sea-view. The rooms are very clean. The owner's dog is very friendly and the breakfast is provided by hosts at the beautiful green garden in front of the hotel.

Review 14：WE LOVED THAT THE OWNER WAS A WONDERFUL HOST,THE HOTEL IMMACULATELY CLEAN, ACROSS FROM BEACH & 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM TOWN. WILL NOT HESITATE TO STAY AGAIN.

Review 15：Effi (the owner/manager) is such a nice lady. So kind and helpful. She takes pride in her motel & it really shows as the place is immaculate. The breakfast out on the deck was lovely. There is a small beach just across the road (a small track down the hill) that is perfect for a quick dip. The town is an easy 10minute walk but there's a supermarket only 100m away which is convenient.

Review 26：The owner of this hotel, Evi, got our visas for Athos (diamonitirion) before our breakfast so that we didn't have to rush. We left some luggage at the hotel during our trip to Athos, and Evi volunteered to bring the luggage to the bus to Thessaloniki that we had to catch immediately upon our return from Athos. When we arrived at the bus, she was waiting there with our luggage! Great service!
