Reviews for Wyndham Resort & Spa Dunsborough

Review 1:No free WiFi. Out of town so no other places to walk to.

Review 2:Pool lovely. Restaurant good but we thought quite expensive. 19 dollars for continental breakfast but no cheese or cold meat in sight!

Review 3:There was no lift for our elderly parents to get to our second floor apartment. And there was stingers at the beach which isn't the resorts fault just a shame we could only swim in the pool.

Review 4:The resort is nice and the facilities are fine. The rooms are spacious with lovely furniture.

Review 5:No milk in room on arrival. Nowhere onsite to buy coffees. Receptionist could have been more welcoming on our arrival.

Review 6:Refurbished room very clean and confortable. Wait staff helpful and friendly in Toby's restaurant. Beautiful meal!

Review 7:No free Wi-Fi No free movie channel No information on facilities in room Had to ask to get room cleaned Have to wash dishes in your bathroom

Review 8:Good location Nice restaurant

Review 9:Room never got fresh towels or a brief clean at all while we were there, no drinks offered while by the pool and not very clean. We had a view of a tree so wouldn't say stunning view either

Review 10:Pool and local beach was lovely. Staff were very friendly

Review 11:THE RESORT IS A LITTLE TO CLOSE TO THE MAIN ROAD SO QUITE NOISY BUT APART FROM THAT IT WAS A LOVELY STAY

Review 12:THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND AIRY AND HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEED POOL AREA WAS LOVELY AND BEACH ACCESS VERY EASY.THE RESORT KEPT CLEAN AND GARDENS WERE VERY WELL KEPT.

Review 13:No elevators, large luggages would be an issue if you live on the upper floor. Facilities such as the pool is a little small, over-crowds easily once a family or two gets in there.

Review 14:Rooms were nice, spacious and modern.

Review 15:Although main room was nice, bathroom and kitchenette need refurbished - cracked tiles, musty smell. Not as luxurious as pictures. Had dinner at the cafe on site and it was terrible . Veg curry was more like runny soup with two pieces of overlooked potato in and not many chickpeas! Rooms only cleaned every other day - cod have done with more towels.

Review 16:Nice location, lovely pool - really good selection at breakfast - lots of options and all very nice.

Review 17:A business traveller needs a table to work on. Is a bit difficult with only the coffee table.

Review 18:Furnishings and room layout is excellent, particularly if travelling as a couple.

Review 19:I booked online and then called to confirm the details a few weeks before. We arranged to check in around midnight after our wedding, we dropped our overnight bag the day before but understood we wouldn't be able to pick up our keys until the night of our stay however when we arrived we waiting at least half an hour in the lobby as our keys had not been cut and the lady was having trouble organizing them. When we finally got to our room the balcony door had been left open so it was freezing and took and a long time to warm up so despite being exhausted we had a terrible sleep. Then feeling worse for wears we headed down for breakfast where we were told it was not included after I confirmed on the phone that it was. The restaurant lady told us to go ahead and eat and given out experience so far she would make it complimentary. The breakfast was very nice but then a lady from reception came over whilst we were finishing and told us she would be charging our room with breakfast. We explained that if we knew this before we had eaten we would of checked out and gone out for breakfast and that unfortunately it was a bit late now we'd eaten it, her attitude was not very nice and we were in no mood for the the continuing drama with our stay so we went to get our bags to check out but then given all the time taken with the breakfast debacle our keys had timed out. We went to reception to get them reactivated where we received more attitude about the time even though if all had run smoothly we would have already been out. We got our bags and checked out where the other receptionist was much more understanding and gave us our breakfast complimentary as that is what we had been told before we ate it. Overall we couldn't of been more disappointed with our first night as a married couple at Wyndam resort.

Review 20:Very aggressive staff trying to promote timeshares and buying the company Didn't listen to us after we said we were disinterested Ruined the opinion that we have of this resort Awful internet connection Would not stay here again- and would definently not recommend it

Review 21:Nice hotel, good facilities and clean

Review 22:I think that provision of free internet is widely expected. Yha in Augusta even had it! Garden was amateurish.hedge trimmers overused more native planting season please!

Review 23:Room fantastic. Exceptional receptionists and wait staff... Also loved having a bath I could lie down in Coffee plunger in room ?

Review 24:That the sofa bed being in the room was extra considering it is already in the room and we could of bought our own bedding for this but overall 30 dollars was affordable

Review 25:Affordable, happy with service & accommodation

Review 26:The location was on the beach doorstep, gardens surrounding the accomodation was relaxing and well maintained. Excellent sized rooms and facilities. Dolphins at the beach on an early morning walk was a great experience.

Review 27:Nothing. I would not hesitate to return here or recommend to others. In fact, The only thing I did not like is that I did not stay for longer!

Review 28:Convenient location. Lovely clean and modern units with everything you could possibly need. Friendly and helpful staff. I would like to say big thanks for returning my necklace and bracelet which I accidentally left behind.

Review 29:Having to pay extra for Internet and to use the tennis court. I feel these should be included for the price of the room.

Review 30:Facilities, grounds and rooms were very clean, modern and we'll kept. Very impressed.

Review 31:Poor location. Costly and exteremly bad value for money. Charged extra for paying by credit card. In most countries that's illegal. Very slow service at reception.

Review 32:Nice rooms

Review 33:The restaurant was nice. Breakfast is value for money however dinner is expensive and not the best of quality e.g 'potato rosti' listed on kids meal is just a processed hash brown from breakfast. The 'crumble' on the dessert was just the muesli from breakfast. That was the only disappointing part of our stay.

Review 34:Great for families with lots of activities to entertain children of any age. Good location. Staff very nice

Review 35:The margarita pizza we ordered through room service was terrible.

Review 36:The service was fantastic, everyone was very cheerful and willing to help. The pool, the restaurant (especially the buffet breakfast), and the day spa were all excellent. I will definitely be staying here again.

Review 37:Arrived after 4pm, room not ready for arrival, no apologies provided, apparently this was because I had booked the previous day and therefore insufficient notice. Restaurant meals over priced for what you get and was not as described in menu. Service all round I think needs some improvement.

Review 38:comfy beds, good facilities. Best I think to go for an apartment with cooking facilities.

Review 39:Being hassled about attending a Wyndham information seminar. Internet connection was very unreliable with many drop outs & slow connection at times.

Review 40:Reasonable cost with seperate bedrooms for 2 ladies travelling together. Hot chocolate sachets - I don't drink coffee or tea. Comfortable bed. Attractive gardens to sit outside.

Review 41:Room was VERY noisy as it is right next to a main road. We could hear doors banging in other rooms all night and the room heater (reverse cycle airconditioner) was so noisy we couldn't sleep with it on.

Review 42:Clean and basic accommodation. Rooms are quite large.

Review 43:It needs a bit more modernisation, and food cost a fortune (not worth what I paid). The resort receptionist made me wait until someone physically checked the room before I got my deposit and was allowed to leave, no explanation was given which was very disappointing. We ment to stay two nights but cut it short the first night, drove to Maccas and spead back to Perth the next morning.

Review 44:Proximity to Margaret River.

Review 45:We were going to eat in the restaurant but after looking at the menu, we thought it was expensive and there did not appear to be a children's menu.

Review 46:Location was excellent, right inbetween Busselton and Dunsbrough.

Review 47:fridge wasnt cold enough

Review 48:Our King room was very spacious with a separate powder room. we were able to park near the front of the room and the pool area and restaurant were very inviting,

Review 49:The restaurant was a bit pricey for what it was, and the service was a little slow. But it's a beautiful dining room with a nice fireplace, and otherwise we had a great experience.

Review 50:We loved the hotel! We had a large studio and it was plenty of space for us and our toddler. Nice playground, great that there was a small fitness center. It's winter so we weren't able to use the pool or swim in the ocean but we did go for a nice walk along the path. Overall a lovely place.

Review 51:Would have liked the fireplace lounge area and restaurant to be open on Sundays so could enjoy it more.

Review 52:Pool, gardens, bike path, fireplace, size of room (toilet and Spa) and furnishings

Review 53:Food was at best, average. Breakfast, although the continental part was great, the cooked breakfast was, again, average. The first room they put us in 4126 (I think) although it doesn't look like it, is close to the road and from half four/five AM you can hear cars as if they are right outside your window. You will NOT sleep through it as it is a very busy road, but all credit to the hotel, when we said it, they moved us to one of the rooms furthest from the road (Which was great) but reception said that no one had ever made that complaint before and the guy that helped us move said that people have often made that complaint.

Review 54:Swimming pool, Beach, Self Catering Apartment, TV, Tennis Court.

Review 55:Would love for a heated pool to be able to swim in the colder months. I found the bathroom to be quite outdated in comparison to the rest of the apartment.

Review 56:Found the staff to be very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant food was lovely along with the service provided. The resort was also child friendly. The rooms were lovely and spacious!!

Review 57:Coffee machine was broken, food in the bain marie was slow in being replenished on our first day and no clear instructions on ordering. Traffic noise from the main road could be heard inside the room.

Review 58:The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well kept

Review 59:- aircon so loud had to turn off , therefor very hot and sticky - no welcoming snacks, flowers or touches of any kind(just milk in fridge) - very very expensive but didn't include breakfast(shocked given the price) - had to climbinto spa to have shower I paid just under $400 for this King room and was apalled at what poor value it was. They weren't even able to separate the bed for me and my 26 year old daughter. I thought I was taking her for a treat. I travel extensively and stay in local pubs to five star accom. This was the worst value for money that I have had in a very long time. I visit from Victoria a couple of times per year and there are so many places better than this for half the price

Review 60:comfortable bed

Review 61:No WiFi access. Receptionist knew and still tried to get me to go to front desk and buy a voucher when there was no signal at our end of the resort.

Review 62:Location of resort very handy to Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup.

Review 63:Tiny fridge room for a larger unit. Room should be serviced daily at the prices that are charged.

Review 64:Newly renovated clean and comfortable. Excellent continental breakfast.

Review 65:Chapel had no fans or a/c and it was a stinking hot day. After waiting half hour for bride and ceremony everybody was dripping. So Really needs to be addressed. Other than that, 10 OUT OF 10

Review 66:Attended wedding, wyndam has a cool little in house chapel, So ceremony and reception all at wyndam, so easy and stress free just walk back to room after ceremony. It was awesome!! best wedding I've been too.

Review 67:Had to pay for wifi; the cost was way too much (but we had last minute booking and not many choices during school holidays)

Review 68:Location, facilities, quietness, good size room (2 bedroom apartment with 2 singles and one king); staff friendly and helpful.

Review 69:Staff were nice but felt pestered to attend A Whyndam Resort seminar, which was a bit annoying.

Review 70:Rooms were nice, neat and clean and a fair size! Over all good location.

Review 71:Poor supplies provided in the room especially given the price, wifi was an extra cost too. The plumbing was really bad and in need of maintenance. Restaurant very expensive am not much else around apart from takeaway shops.

Review 72:Location was great, lots of activities available during stay.

Review 73:The room had split bed instead of king bed in it. Staff did changed it back to King bed quickly upon notification. However overall services in the resort were very good.

Review 74:The resort it's facility, staff and location were excellent.

Review 75:Cleaning staff didn't take/swap the dirty dishes we used and woe had no kitchen facilities to clean them with, so had dirty dishes for 3 days in out room

Review 76:Friendly reception staff

Review 77:Unable to get phone/data reception on our mobiles when we were in the room. Have to pay for wifi use by the hour.

Review 78:The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Delicious breakfast buffet.

Review 79:We had a call asking us to attend a seminar about the resort and other locations. I won't spend my holiday time in a seminar.

Review 80:We visited a few years ago (pre-children) and stayed in a basic room. Returning with children we selected an apartment. I would highly recommend an apartment. Facilities were excellent and contained everything we needed. Just need to bring food and your clothes. Close proximity and easy access to the beach was great. Will definitely be back next year for a longer stay. Kids room was dark so little ones don't wake from the sun.

Review 81:Something that can't be helped.....THE FLYS!!!!!

Review 82:Great accomodation. Nice sized swimming pool and great gym. Close to the beach and bike/walking track. Beautiful picture window from lounge room looking out to the garden.

Review 83:The doona really ruined the bed. It was a doona middle in between two sheets and just got tangled. Seemed cheap for such a pricey hotel. The restaurant is definitely the weakest link though. Not enough staff or possibly wrong priorities. It took ages to get served (even water)

Review 84:The room was nice and we loved the little kitchen facilities. Bath and spa were awesome.

Review 85:FLIES. Too many flies, it was actually unbearable. Not possible to lay by the pool for more than 30 minutes because of the flies. The food in the restaurant was so disappointing!! Way to expensive for what you get, so I would recommend anyone staying at the hotel to go in to Dunsborough instead. The steak I had was dry, the chips under-cooked, the eggs tasted like water, and pancakes were dry.

Review 86:Friendly staff

Review 87:You could here the road traffic when on the bottom floor and when people move on the second floor it's very loud

Review 88:The facilities were great pool nice and warm staff were always plesent

Review 89:Our stay was to short!

Review 90:The first thing that I noticed was the great cooperation of the staff. I am aided with a walking stick and they immediately went out of their way to accommodate for my needs. Treated by lovely smiles all round.

Review 91:Didn't like the fact the Restaurant wasn't open Sunday or Monday Night and many other Restaurants in the area.

Review 92:The resort was very comfortable great rooms great gardens great location

Review 93:Easy to locate, perfect quiet position on the beach. Welcoming staff throughout. Very clean neat establishment, very well kept grounds. Impressive buffet brekkie. Lovely decor with comfort throughout and very clean.

Review 94:Furniture was being refurbished dining chairs virtually broken. Not enough utensils, bowls in the kitchen. Main TV did not get repaired in a week, we asked 3 times.

Review 95:View great, close to a couple of good winereies. Very comfortable beds and what new furniture was in the rooms was really lovely.

Review 96:Hot breakfast was stale and cold, could not recommend. Coffee was awful and machine broken. Lots of noise from traffic with Hwy so close. Security, safety and general concerns raised with front desk staff brushed off and unapologetic. Emphasis on trying to get people to attend a seminar completely inappropriate for people wanting a relaxing break.

Review 97:Grounds very nice and well maintained. Pool looked inviting. Furniture in rooms was new, well decorated. Restaurant light and open space and good service from wait staff.

Review 98:Housekeeping done every 2 days instead of daily?

Review 99:Nice quiet surroundings. Easy access to the beautiful beach right in front of hotel. Short drive between 2 towns - Busselton and Dunsborough to explore. Nearby to a championship golf course! Near enough to Margaret River - plenty to keep one busy for a week!

Review 100:If you want a quiet time away, then this is not the place to stay as there is quite a bit of traffic noise from busy Caves Road. The mattress in our room was really uncomfortable.

Review 101:I took my husband away for a birthday treat. He really enjoyed the Escape Spa treatment that I booked for him. Our room was nicely decorated and spacious. The staff were nice and friendly.

Review 102:Limited parking near my apartment, some nearer bays were blocked off for works, it was raining when I was there so a bit of an inconvenience.

Review 103:Clean, comfortable and very well furnished. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice outlook from back of the apartment. Separate toilet from bathroom useful.

Review 104:Decor was a bit dated, outside pool & spa facilities werent available due to renovations. Indior spa looked dirty :(

Review 105:Loved the location & the fact the room had a spa and separate toilet & bath. Staff were fantastic couldnt do more for you they were awesome.

Review 106:No housekeeping during our stay. No room service Gym small and limited Phone didn't work TV reception terrible

Review 107:Staff on front desk and restaurant were pleasant although not particularly well informed about resort procedures.

Review 108:Rooms need updating.

Review 109:Convenient

Review 110:Not being outlined clearly that the monies for the room was not taken out at time of booking.

Review 111:Location, Dining

Review 112:Great facilities, friendly staff, located centrally for easy access to the region's attractions.

Review 113:Loud air conditioner and noise from the road (right on the highway)

Review 114:Good facilities including pool and gym. Close to town.

Review 115:Single beds were very uncomfortable and $445 felt very steep.

Review 116:Location was amazing and beautiful wedding reception

Review 117:A little noisy with the traffic on road so close.

Review 118:the location was convenient for my purposes. The staffer very friendly.

Review 119:Pool looked like it could do with a clean and couldn't even sit around the pool due to the amount of flys. Maybe hotel could look into spraying??

Review 120:loved the beautiful garden and picnic facilities, the little quendas hopping around were gorgeous

Review 121:single access point to beach, vibration noise in o/h duct

Review 122:beach side, well maintained gardens and facility, good layout for room

Review 123:Our spare blanket smelled like someone threw up on it.

Review 124:Great Location & relaxing setting.

Review 125:Wifi is not for free.

Review 126:Great accommodation. clean! Location of Hotel is little bit a far from the city of Dunsborough, but it doesn't uncomfy.

Review 127:Toilet not working well . No cutting board at Kitchen.

Review 128:Nothing specific

Review 129:No pizza on the restaurant menu.

Review 130:Comfortable bed, blackout blinds, everything you would need

Review 131:Good location between Dunsbourgh and Busselton. Great 2 bedroom unit with modern kitchen facilities.

Review 132:No where to wash dishes

Review 133:Good rooms very quiet

Review 134:no free wi-fi

Review 137:Cheap and cheerful

Review 138:No info in the room as to the resort facilities !!!!

Review 139:2 bedroomed apt was very good - appropriate space etc to relax.

Review 140:Reception staff were slow, waited a while to be served.
