Reviews for Mirini Hotel

Review 1:Customer service is very poor.poor wifi system and TV.bathroom was very old .low quality breakfast.no other facility are available.over charged for rooms comparison to the other hotel close by.

Review 2:Location is good.

Review 3:The location is extremely bad.. Hard to find it with one-way roads. Breakfast was very easy. Old furnitures, doors, elevator.. Has to be renewed. after seeing the advertisement, I thought that we will easily reach to the beach.. Oh..! its not possible..

Review 4:Owners are so friendly.. Kind people.. Main balcony is marvelous

Review 5:Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A family run business who were so welcoming and nice. Views were astonishing and 1 minute walk to the beach

Review 6:In breakfast there are too many sweet things, there should be more salty . It didn't fit our taste.

Review 7:The staff is very helpful. Whenever we need, they helped us for everything even if it was not about the hotel.

Review 8:Bed really hard. General decor of the hotel is very dated and gloomy. The owner was really not very friendly to us and she was put out by any request. This more than anything ruined our stay at the hotel.

Review 9:The Wi-Fi worked well and hotel is close to the beach and about 10 minute walk to town. The price is reasonable but don't expect a happy mediterranean atmosphere.

Review 10:Self catering facilities very minimal and could easily be upgraded without any great expense.

Review 11:Hotel position a few minutes outside Samos town and view from room / hotel terrace. Room recently refurbished and WiFi also available in room even if it is indicated as available only in lobby.

Review 12:The Mirini Hotel is a few minutes outside the main town of Samos (Vathi), which means the location is quiet but convenient to all facilities. The sea views are delightful and the rooms are clean, modern and well furnished. The owners are very pleasant and friendly, and went out of their way to help us get the necessary attention for an unexpected health problem. A lovely hotel we would definitely use again.

Review 13:This hotel was suggested to us by a friend of ours and he was actually right. The room had a magnificent view of the sea and it was right next to the beach. The sunset from our balcony was really breathtaking and the breakfast had a large variety of Greek traditional foods. I really enjoy the hospitality of this hotel and i recommend it to everyone that is looking for a hotel to stay in, during his vacation in Samos island.

Review 14:very good location near Vathi (10 min by foot)near the beatch excelent service ,very clean, quiet The owners Gregory and Litsa very nice make us feel like family I highly recomend it to couples , families and group of friends. It is close to the nice beach of Gakos. Rooms are comfortable and with nice view. Breakfast with local products was very good.

Review 15:Hot water seemed to be scarce during the times I showered, which was unfortunate. The WiFi stopped a couple times, but was quickly restored when we reported the issue. Even with these small inconveniences, I would return to this hotel for my next stay on Samos.

Review 16:What a gorgeous view we had from our room! Spacious room, great breakfast, and the common areas were wonderful. We had one of the upgraded showers with the various adjustable heads...interesting!

Review 17:Beware. If your room reservation does not have a 3xx or 4xx room number you may be in for unpleasant surprise. Some of the 2xx rooms have a good location/ view (not all). The hallways in the upper floors are well lit, good ventilation and nice. The rooms on lowest lever 1xx are not. As it was pointed out to me, 'read the small print.' I was getting a 1xx room. The end of 1st day I wrote Booking.com and said, 'get me out of here!' I had a better room then next day. But, not without Booking.com getting involved. There is more, the rooms face the west and the a/c in the 1xx room seemed to be controlled by an internal 'chip.' Compressor ran at 'its' timing, not the remote thermostat. 57 seconds of compressor run time, out of 4 minutes is NOT enough to cool a room facing the afternoon sun. you have been warned.

Review 18:The common area of this hotel is very nice. This is where I was able to get internet (good, not excellent). Once I moved to a 2xx floor room, and had a reasonable view of harbor from balcony, and updated room, it was much more pleasant.

Review 19:rooms need renovation.and smeels moisture.cleaning people was a little noisy .especially doors need repair

Review 20:I lıke the position of the hotel .It s clean enough.hotel s position is very good and very close to one of the popular beach.ıt ıs easy to find the parking place araund the hotel.

Review 21:exterior a little tired looking. bathroom also needs updating but saying that still very good value for money.

Review 22:lovely views from our balcony. breakfast good variety ,and eaten on the sunny terrace spacious bedroom.

Review 23:No coffee making facility in the room. The shower was overly complicated and a standard shower would have been more than adequate.

Review 24:The quiet location, staff, room and facilities were excellent. Although arriving early we were allowed to check in. Having a fridge in the room was good for cooling drinks and there was a mini market nearby.

Review 25:I loved everything about this quaint inn. It was charming, not the typical cookie cutter hotel found in the USA. The staff was friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. They even called our grandson by his name. I will never forget enjoying our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the bay. We are already anticipating a trip back for our anniversary.

Review 26:I booked a standard room for our stay of 4 nights as we did not plan to be in the hotel a lot of the time. However we were given a room on the ground floor which was sub-standard. The balcony had water leaking on it from the airconditioner in the next room. Also there was a string across the balcony which had been used as a clothes line. There was a used ashtray on the table. The air conditioner in our room did not work and the owner was trying to do major repairs until 10pm including re-gassing!! In the end we requested a fan which was brought to us around 11pm. The rooms on the upper floors are much nicer though we did not have water for one whole afternoon! Breakfast was also sub-standard and was set out in a haphazard fashion in a small area.

Review 27:This is a family run hotel and the staff were helpful.

Review 28:Althouth renovatted the room looked a bit old. The refrigarator was out of order but was replaced the next day.

Review 29:Very nice location near to the sea and walking distance to the town.Very nice view.

Review 30:The family that runs the place was more than helpful and top notch! They spent quality time with us explaining what there was to do on the island, and made our time memorable. Would highly recommend. Breakfasts was delicious!

Review 31:- there was always a bad smell coming from the toilet - i've had one of the worst sleep. Very old and uncomfortable bed caused me a back pain. - no wifi in rooms 101-..-105

Review 32:- very nice, friendly staff - close to gangou beach and city center - great view from the restaurant - good breakfast

Review 33:Nulla

Review 34:Perfect location if you want to explore Samos and its beaches; room extremely clean and new furnitures; the staff is always kind and available; the view is amazing. Highly reccomended.

Review 35:The room furniture is a little bit old it needs to be renovate

Review 36:We stayed for weekend leisure, the sea view is magnificent, associates of hotel is very friendly and helpful. Its very close to the beach, you can walk by feet in 5-10 minutes. Hotel location is very close to the supermarket, hospital, tavernas and night clubs.

Review 37:The rooms not look like that photos. The hotel situated on the hill. So 1st floor on the sea side, actually -2nd floor. There are a lot of smell from humidity in the 1st and 2nd floor. All that floors rooms have uncomfortable and old furniture. We paid extra payment for renewed rooms rest of the vacation. But the noisy everywhere. Air conditions, refrigerators, wc equipments, doors are always noisy. Bathroom was flooded every shower.

Review 38:only good location. Good view, near beaches and walk away from city center.

Review 39:Spent the first night in a 1st floor room with the sea view a little obscured by a semi-derelict building to one side. Moved up a floor to a nice bright room with white furniture and much better view. Suggest getting 2nd floor or higher (3rd and 4th are best). Super breakfast on balcony with fabulous sea views. Owner even drove us to the bus station when taxi failed to turn up! Highly recommended.

Review 40:bad bad bad bad ,worse, worst wifi i have ever seen...

Review 41:Great location, calm hospitality, delicious breakfast, gorgeous scene of port and vathi , and best of all , superb owners

Review 42:We were initially put in a room that was less expensive than the one we had reserved and paid for, no biggie, except for how apparent the owner made it that we were putting her out. In the new room - there was a layer of dust on everything including the floor, the shower head was not mounted, the door to the hall did not lock, the sliding door to the balcony was not attached to the wall on either side so it could be slid from side to side which made locking it pointless, the shower was not sealed at the bottom so it flooded the bathroom with a solid 2 inches of water each time we showered, but the worst was definitely not having hot water. After pressing the button to warm the water for the shower and waiting the appropriate time, we had maybe 15 - 20 seconds of warm water. It was really frustrating having to take cold showers while on vacation. After bringing it to their attention, the owners did fix the door to the hallway and mount the shower head. They attempted to fix the shower leak and cold water but were unsuccessful. We did not bring up the other items as we felt it was better to deal with it, rather than deal with the owners. If the owners had been apologetic in any way or had a kinder attitude, I would not be writing my first ever negative review right now, but they made us feel like we were putting them out and one of the owners in particular was very noticeable irritated with us, even raising her voice, when we simply wanted the room we paid for or to have a door that locked. We were always polite and respectful and did not feel that was reciprocated. On a separate note, the Wi-Fi did not work anywhere other than when standing at the reception desk (which they don't seem to want you to know)

Review 43:The location was perfect for us. It was outside of the hustle of town, but close enough to easily walk. The view from the patio is phenomenal and eating breakfast out there was a wonderful way to start each day. The homemade breakfast items were delicious, so the more of those items that were available the better, but that varied from day to day.

Review 44:Internet reception was poor and kept cutting out.

Review 45:Great views from the main balcony and from the room balcony, breakfasts were also very good.

Review 46:Breakfast only okay. Not wow!

Review 47:Staff friendly and helpfull. Clean neat rooms. Locations. Price.

Review 48:View from the balcony friendly and helpful staff ( thank you Eleni ), and a short walk to town.

Review 49:I liked their stuff and the food was nice

Review 50:Lobby ,breakfast ,

Review 53:It is a family run business

Review 54:Location, beach near hotel

Review 55:nothing

Review 57:location and staff attitude. beach very close views from veranda breathtaking

Review 58:It ıs very near to Vathı marin;owners are very hospıttally;helpful;vıew ıs great

Review 59:Nice Samos view , clean rooms, warm owners

Review 60:They are so kind to offer Turkish style breakfast as they receive Turkish guests mostly. The location and the view is just perfect.

Review 61:Bed was harder than cement, no air conditioning, no wifi or gu

Review 62:Restaurant around the corner

Review 63:a bit dated but really nice old hotel

Review 64:views, friendly staff, own balcony, close to ferry

Review 65:I like the boss and his wife. They are very very good family. Hotel is like a home.

Review 66:Location and friendly family owners.

Review 67:Big renovated and modern rooms . Thank you for all . I will definitely come back next year

Review 68:Everything was excellent !!! I totally recommend it

Review 69:Every think is perfect:-)

Review 70:Wifi is weak.

Review 71:The balcony is directly positioned to the sea. The hotel is also veryclose to the beach. Vathi center is also in walking distance.

Review 72:We had such a relaxing stay. Scenery from the bedroom balconies is beautiful and very special to hear the rhythmic sound of the sea.

Review 73:Very friendly run family Hotel. Excellent value and Lovely location. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful.

Review 74:Needs a little more variety for breakfast. Also, the hotel is under renovation and so the rooms we stayed in, which were a bit dated, will be much better eventually. The lobby/dining area has old fashioned charm but could be spruced up for fresher appearance. Again, all of this is compensated by the lovely Samos ambience created by the owners.

Review 75:The couple that own and operate the hotel are charming and clearly have a passion and history of welcoming people. They are excellent ambassadors of Samos. They helped us plan our sightseeing day, our ferry, restaurant suggestions, etc.

Review 76:Staff were wonderful and always helpful and friendly. Views were amazing and short distance walking to the port, restaurants and shops.Modern rooms and excellent breakfast.I definately recommend it !!!

Review 77:Rooms in Mirini hotel were clean and spacious, breakfast was more than perfect and the staff was so friendly...... it was unreal. The view from my balcony and from the hotel's veranda was really amazing. Huge recommendation.

Review 78:I booked a room with a double bed (was explicitly written and confirmed in the reservation). At our arrival, we only got twin beds. The owners informed us that there were no other room available but on our floor, we could not hear any noise nor see anyone in the other rooms.

Review 79:the terrasse is very pleasant even if the furniture (as in the rest of the hotel) is already very old-fashioned, a bit faded.

Review 80:Hotel description on Booking.com is not representative of the current condition of the hotel: - Very obsolete and poorly maintained equipment in the rooms; very noisy AC and fridge, 30 year old TV with remote control on the wall, shower cord replaced with a hose in the bathroom and uncomfortable and noisy bedding, etc. - Very poor breakfast; very low quality cheese and fresh, not enough tea for all guests - Asked for a large double bed, but were given twin instead - Hotel is 15 meters from the sea from a bird’s eye, but seaside is not really reachable - Very poor communication (language) at the reception - Was not pleased with the hotel and so wanted to leave the next day. Hotel owners did not accept, so we agreed on two nights of stay instead of the booked three, but would not stay even for one night if were possible.

Review 81:Humidity level is a little bit more on downstairs. We were staying on 4th floor so we haven't got such a problem.

Review 82:Scenery from the window. Hotel is just in the perfect location-not far from city center, very close to Gagau beach. Samos has got a lot of archeological and cultural site. Just rent a car from ~40 euro and explore all of the island.

Review 83:Free WIFI in the hotel, but it wasn't always reliable.

Review 84:Lovely pension/small hotel run by an older Greek couple. Rooms were spotless. All have a great ocean view. The port town of Vathy is a 15 minute walk away.

Review 85:I've spent a wonderful time at this cosy hotel. Lisa and Gregory were really helpful and supportive during the whole stay and all my needs and questions were answered asap ( the right room, coffee, taxi, excursions, the food, the nearby local places and attractions to visit, etc. ). The hotel is pretty and clean, the location is convenient ( the beach and the nearest food shop is 5 min walk, the restaurants and the main street - 10-15 min.) Greek hospitality, really clean&caressing sea and superb room view made the holiday and staying at Mirini just unforgettable.Thank you!

Review 86:The wardrobe is really small and the furniture is old. We've learned that the rooms will be renovated this winter though.

Review 87:The view is breath-taking. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. The owner couple makes excellent suggestions on where and what to eat. Thanks to their cooperation we've had the best meals ever in Samos.

Review 88:Wi-fi only on reception/restuarant level. 15-20 min walk into town but managable (slightly uphill on the way back to the hotel).

Review 89:Nice rooms overlooking the sea and short stroll to beach. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful. Allowed us to check-in early as our ferry arrived at 10am. Mini market 50 metres away

Review 90:Coming home!

Review 91:Friendliness of owners, authenticity, proximity to beach and town, views

Review 99:5 minutes to city center. Great view
