Reviews for Castello Village Resort

Review 1:Everithing was worn out. Even if The bathroom should be clean IT looked durty. Also the swimming pool felt stikky on The bottem.

Review 2:Very friendley personel. Food Was ok. Locatie was good

Review 3:We stayed in the hotel five nights on the beginning of October. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was the pictures of the happy childern from the mini club. When we arrived we discovered that the miniclub is open only 13:00-15:00, and we never saw it open even between the opening hours. The room (studio room) we got when we arrived was very unpleasent, old and dark. There was a bad smell from the bathroom. Far from what expected from 4-star hotel. We spoke with Julie the reservation manager who upgraded us to a much better room with sea view which was much more bright and airy. but still no 4-star hotel rooms. Tiny shower. No toiletries. Simple wool blanket and one synthetic pillow for each.

Review 4:Staff were great. Very kind and helpful. Especially Julie the reservation manager and Sevi in the bar. Breakfast was very good with many options. Nice outdoor playground. Close to the center of Sissi village which was also very nice.

Review 5:Loud music until midnight, and swimming pool closed at 6 pm.

Review 6:Close to both Sissi village and right on water front for beaches and snorkeling. Great breakfast, good prices at bar, friendly staff, beds comfortable.Bus to Heraklion outside resort doors.

Review 7:only a small thing, like to few plates in the kitchen of our apartment

Review 8:Great apartment with view to the sea.Great hotel in Sissi, a nice small village, where there still is ordinary greek way of living. The staff very friendly and polite - entertainment and still the possibility to really relaxe

Review 9:The breakfast inside in unpleasant big room (very little space outside), merely fat stuff. Little space around swimming pools.

Review 10:Location; it is a two minute walk to the quiet but beautyful harbour of Sissi with a lot of nice taverna's. We also liked the big balcony (3-room-apartment). Friendly staff.

Review 11:Wifi in our room only really worked on the balcony, but not a problem as it was nice to detach from the Internet for a bit

Review 12:The staff all worked so hard and were very welcoming, they felt like friends by the time we left We had a room with a wonderful view of the sea, and the room itself was very clean and confortable Sissi is a brilliant location, quiet, but with restaurants and shops nearby, but worth renting a car to explore other nearby parts of the island

Review 13:Bed was slightly uncomfortable .Thought dress code of trousers in restaurant at dinner unusual at a beach resort ...

Review 14:Large balcony with views of the sea.Great size rooms with seperate living area with good English channels .Pool was beautiful , lovely breakfast . Great friendly staff.Super location in beautiful village with plenty of shops , supermarket and restaurants.

Review 15:Everything was good.

Review 16:A nice experience and comfortable stay, much better than what we expected. We had a nice room with big balcony and fantastic sea views. Very friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. Especially staff of reception and guest services were so friendly and helpful to us. Plenty of choices of good quality at breakfast. Sisi is a very picturesque area next to the sea, ideal for couples and families and those who are looking for relaxing holidays. We will certainly have holidays again in Sisi and of course in Castello Village Resort.

Review 17:When we arrived at midnight the superior room we had booked was not available till the next day,and we were given a small standard room. When we eventually got our room at 2pm the next day it was not what we booked, but in fact an upgraded room which we were quite happy to accept.

Review 18:Overall this hotel is good value for money ,the choice of food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent. All the restaurant, bar, and cleaning staff, gave an excellent and friendly service. The hotel is well maintained and very clean.

Review 19:The tourists were mainly dutch which I found extremely unfriendly ever time you smiled or said hello they would always look away but the British and other Europeans were nice

Review 20:Ever thing the beaches food entertainment view from my room was breath taking I would definitely stay there again

Review 21:Too slippery around the edge of both swimming pools- needs to be made more non-slip. Apartment needed updating to the bathroom and kitchen area.

Review 22:Pool, staff and atmosphere. Store across the street. Food and service.

Review 23:Poorly equipped.apartment kitchen

Review 24:Great breakfast

Review 25:Cleaning bad

Review 26:Breakfast

Review 27:The location and great breakfast

Review 28:The service at the reception.

Review 29:The selection of food The rooms

Review 30:Great staff, particularly Maria and Iro - always a smile and keen to help in any way. Ideally placed a short walk from great variety of restaurants. Ormos well worth a visit for crepe/waffle and watch the world go by around the harbour side.

Review 31:Beds very small and uncomfortable. Air condition in bedroom only. Daughter's studio economy apartment had full tub/shower combo and large kitchen for 2/3 the price of our 1 bedroom unit that had tiny shower and kitchen. Staff failed to advise of daily charges for use of AC at check in. The AC didn't work in 2 of the 3 units we rented.

Review 32:Great location and views overlooking the sea. Easy walk to village of Sisi for food and drinks. Convenient supermarket directly across street. Car and ATV rentals directly across street. Fun and friendly bar staff. Nice breakfast buffet each day.

Review 33:Bathroom can be cramped - shower can be very tight. Check before you book. Could use DO NOT DISTURB signs.

Review 34:Right on the water - great view of the Med from your window and balcony. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.

Review 35:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room in our apartment and we had a lovely view of the sea. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of food in the restaurant. There was a wide choice and was of good quality both at dinner and at breakfast. The location of the hotel is also ideal...close to local amenities but in a quiet area.

Review 36:We had a lovely sea view appt, but it was encrusted with pigeon droppings

Review 37:The buffet food for evening and breakfast meals was the best we have ever had

Review 38:The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was within short walking distance from local bars, tavernas etc, with a supermarket directly opposite the hotel

Review 39:Great friendly staff, spacious location, relaxed clientele (no partying Brits).

Review 40:location friendly staff fabulous view lovely apartment great swimming pools

Review 41:The room I was in was noisy

Review 42:Clean and frienly

Review 43:Sissi has been over developed now. Only on-street parking.

Review 44:Reception/bar and main areasd are very nice

Review 45:We were upgraded to the spa side of the hotel

Review 46:Food - same food every second day, if you are on diet - you'll eat same food all the time.

Review 47:Very good and helpfull personnel
