Reviews for Eagles Palace

Review 1:Only one observation, the quality of food in the paid restaurants does not match the price I am afraid to say. If 5 star prices are to be charged, (completely understandable in a 5 star hotel) then the food presented needs also to be at this level. Currently, the value for money leaves the food at only 3 star in my opinion. An example of this would be 21 euros for 6 prawn tempura the size of a ladies index finger in Washi, the food was nice but certainly no where near worth this figure, and a description of 'salad with fresh green vegatables' in Kamares on the set menu leads the customer to expect something a little more imaginative than lettuce leaves accompanied by two halved cherry tomatoes and drizzled with olive oil and very fine crumb, especially when preceded by a thimble of pumpkin soup more reminiscent of a pre taster one would have prior to eating in the finest michelin starred restaurants. This is the only issue that needs to be addressed to complete a beautiful relaxing experience. Please note, the food, its presentation and the service at breakfast and evening buffet is excellent.

Review 2:The fact that there were always beds on the beach with towels and cushions ready to go. No need to get up early to secure a position! Very attentive and pleasant employees. The overall chilled vibe of the hotel was an instant gateway to relaxation. Plus, 'genuine' freshly squeezed orange juice!!!!

Review 3:Restaurant standards not all up to par. Some challenges throughout our stay however rectified by guest relations.

Review 4:Fantastic facilities, loved the waterfront and ability to swim safely.

Review 5:The region was windy in the afternoon during June.

Review 6:Although hotel was full we never had a problem for the sunbeds. It was really easy to access beach from rooms. Great daily breakfast variations made a good start for us and our kid. And great staff was always smiling.

Review 7:Our air conditioner was not able to kep the room cool enough and was not fixed during our four day stay.

Review 8:The breathing view of the Chalkidiki peninsula. The quality of the beach. Lots of space around you. Ouranoupoli village is nearby with many quality local restaurants.

Review 9:Price a little high, hard to find any other faults.

Review 10:Clean sea, superb staff, wonderful building, nice facilities, superb staff again, wonderful, unspoilt location. Although we spent only 24 hours, this is one of the most enjoyed hotels we have ever stayed.

Review 11:The food was very disappointing. The breakfast buffet was OK but the food at the restaurant was a far cry from what you would expect in a 5 start hotel.

Review 12:The staff and the services were excellent! Everybody was very helpful and nice. The place is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The bed linens are high quality and so were the covers and pillows. The rooms were super clean. The hotel has nice views but overall felt more like a 4 star hotel probably because of it's decor.

Review 13:The rooms were quite basic and a bit tired, not matching the overall good design of the hotel (we were a group of friends so I could see few of the garden rooms, sea view rooms and a studio - none of them match the photos on the hotel website). There was only 1 lift to the beach, which was quite slow and could fit max 4-5 people (the hotel has of 5-6 floors), hence you always end up waiting a lot. There were only a couple of classes per day of yoga and aqua aerobics and they are paid (15eur pp). I thought the food in the restaurants was more basic than the overall design and ambiance would suggest (for example a choice of only 4-5 types of salads, but a lots of basic pastas and pizzas), prices were between 17-30eur per main course.

Review 14:The hotel staff is very friendly and the service is very good. The design of the commmon areas, restaurants and teraces is very nice with a lot of attention to details. The location is pretty, on a hill, though a bit remote (the neareast town is 10min drive). Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice. The hotel has its own beach and the water was good for swimming (warm and on pepples on the bottom).

Review 15:I travel all around the world, this was the worst hotel in terms of "price for value"... EUR 380 for a superior room, which was so small that there was no space to open up our luggage.. Is it a joke??!!

Review 16:Hotel experience was excellent we were very happy with the whole holiday. Private beach and towels provided by the hotel made beach experience relaxing. Everywhere clean and well maintained. Hope to go back soon.

Review 17:We booked sea front rooms in the hotel. Hoping to finally see the endless water, we walked into the room and it was nothing like we expected. The sea was there somethere, but you had to put your medical glasses on to see it. As it happened - this wasn't the type of room we booked AND we weren't even informed about it. They tried to put us into a worse (and much cheaper) room. If we hadn't done anything, we would have been paying our regular price (550euro/night) for a room that normally costs 400. However, as we did react to this, after talking to half of the reception staff and then the director himself, they found the right rooms for us (although our daughters slept in the worse room for two nights). All in all, we got the rooms we wanted, but the road to that wasn't as simple as one would imagine. Although there was said to be wifi in the hotel, the connection's speed was fast enough to load a 3 minute youtube video in 15 minutes (...). HOWEVER there was a proper wifi and that was paid - 18 euros per day. (as if the 550 per night wasnt enough)

Review 18:The staff was trying their best to make up for their mistake at the beginning and although we kept finding things to complain about, they handled it in a very professional manner and helped us as much as they could. The waiters at the lunch as well as the dinner restaurants were really nice as well and professional. They knew what they were offering, they knew their wines, they are the right people for the job, that's for sure. The hotel is situated in a really calming surrounding that lets you distant yourself from your everyday worries. They also offer a day boat trip with a guy called Dimitri, which was one of the best experiences we've had during our stay. We spent a whole day on the sea, goin from one abandoned beach to another. We definitely recommend this ! The staff was always smiling and willing to help you. We'd definitely consider coming back to this hotel.

Review 19:Rooms. we had a garden view double room. Was very small and needed a bit of update. Bathroom also small. Cleaning could be improved, bed sheets were not changed 4 nights. Wi fi was very slow but available at most of the places but if you want a faster internet need to pay 18 euro/24h which i thought is a too much.

Review 20:Breakfast was excellent Beach and the water Seafood restaurant Service Common areas were up to 5* standard Location was great for a quite holiday Close to town about 5min drive

Review 21:It was just excellent!

Review 22:except the beach beds .very uncomfortable

Review 23:everything was perfect, I liked everything

Review 24:free internet was really very slow and not connected every time. its not acceptable for a hotel 5* like this

Review 25:Wi Fi quality

Review 26:The sea, personnel, the spa, tennis court, the view, the veranda, the pool!

Review 27:Slow wifi, in our room we could hear everything our neighbours said

Review 28:Staff, location

Review 29:Room not so spacious and relatively noisy, lack of "Greek atmosphere"

Review 30:Beach, restaurant, efficiency and courtesy of the staff

Review 31:Quality of free internet - terrible.

Review 32:Beach, facilities, staff

Review 33:I liked almost everything, the only "problem" is that it is not the best beach of Chalkidiki

Review 34:Location, service, excellent quality of food, style and atmosphere

Review 35:The temperature of the shower fluctuated between boiling hot and freezing cold.

Review 36:Staff were excellent. Very friendly. The hotel is efficient and well-managed.

Review 37:The wi-fi in the room was slow (if one is interested). The food for dinner although acceptable could be tastier (compared to the level of the resort). The quantity however was more than satisfactory. And overall the prices could be a bit lower.

Review 38:Everything was excellent. Location, facilities, room size (we had a junior suite) and especially service, which was one of the highest if not the highet I have experienced in my travels. We had a really enjoyable and relaxing weekend and we will definitely go again.

Review 39:The staff make this hotel, from the moment you arrive till you leave. Fantastic location, great restaurants. This was our third trip an we will be back again next year

Review 40:The resort has a picturesque location with its own private beach with turquoise clean waters. It is also equipped with a beautiful outdoor pool and an indoor pool, jacuzzi etc as part of its spa. The facilities are superb but what makes Eagles Palace stand out is the impeccable service, in particular the staff working on the guest relations desk were so courteous and helpful and willing to do anything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. It has been a long time since I have experienced hospitality of this nature. In terms of food the breakfasts were truly delicious with a splendid variety of fruits and pastries. There were three restaurants available for dinner in the evenings, quality was a bit more variable here but I would still recommend them, in particular the restaurant on the beach front-gorgeous greek delights as you listen to the ocean lapping-it doesn't get much better than this!

Review 41:The food in restaurant on seaside is not so tasty as should be. The grilled meat and chicken is dry....but iam sure it isn't what could stop me to come again in Eaglespalace.

Review 42:Everything was excellent! Keep it up!

Review 43:Unfriendly welcome Other than breakfast, food was not 5 star Shower - older couple & we don't want to climb into bath to have shower No room coffee/tea facilities Noise from hotel evening activities - had to use ear plugs Overall not 5 star Expensive for what you get

Review 44:Location Beach Breakfast

Review 45:There wasn't anything that really bothered me. I would go back here for sure.

Review 46:Great location. Great grounds and upkeep. The lobby and hotel are overall 4-5 stars for sure. The rooms are nice, and great by Greek/Balkan standards, but I would not say the rooms are 5 stars.... The rooms are good, clean and fine, but not amazing. However, the views are very nice, and the other portions of the large complex are likely better than anything else on Ouranoupoli or Khalkadiki. It's your best bet for luxury on Ouranoupoli (the quietest of the three fingers). I also liked the swallows flying around everywhere... And the staff women were cute....

Review 47:Breakfast was better now is not so diverse.Prices are high for this season, and are generally higher than normal for what the hotel offers!

Review 48:Beach,room and garden!

Review 49:Wi-fi connection could be much better.

Review 50:Staff attitude and comfort.

Review 51:The junior suite is too small - is a big room. Die Tuer zwischen die beiden apartments is schrecklich. Mann kann alles hoeren.

Review 52:SPA is not maintained at a high level jacuzzi heating cold beds actions

Review 53:Great hotel great location great staff we will be back again next year

Review 54:vwry late cleaning the room, usualy after 16 pm.

Review 55:Basically everything

Review 56:Nothing!

Review 57:We never expected such an attention to detail in Greece.Absolutely verypleasant experience. Thanks we will be back.
