Reviews for Hotel Turin

Review 1:Americans moaning about breakfast!! The hotel pics on your web page make the hotel look a lot more up market than it really looks.

Review 2:Secure parking for our motorbikes at no extra cost, very traditional hotel and breakfast Very good location to walk into town centre

Review 3:good location within walking distance both for buses/railway station, shopping and touristic sights, kind and helpful staff, room basic, but spacious and clean.

Review 4:-noisy rooms. 1st night the people above me keep me awake until 2am until I shout at them to shut up. In the weekend morning the noise from the market waked me up at 5am. Second night was much better -could benefit from a mini fridge/bar -Tv is quite small -1 lift. have to wait a bit if you are at 5th floor. -some room could benefit from new window frames and showers.

Review 5:-location: close to train and bus stations and also close to centre -clean -decent size room: double bed for a single room -good and variate breakfast -helpful staff and English speakers. -luggage storage

Review 6:Uninspiring breakfast but seems usual for many Italian hotels. Credit card machine not working for payment due to telephone problems but sweet receptionist did her best

Review 7:Comfy large double bed and single bed ( in room for 3), relatively large room and decent bathroom. Short walk from historic centre, restos. Easy on street parking (payable from 8am in morning but cheap) Dog could stay too!

Review 8:No bad experiences

Review 9:Road signs gave clear direction to hotel. Mountain views from room were stunning. Secure parking.Accommodation simple but more than adequate.

Review 10:No air condition in the room (only a fan), so it was quite hot sometimes (in the shower as well).

Review 11:Excellent location (few minutes away from the central street and the central bus/train station), very helpful staff, nice breakfast.

Review 12:The street is quite noisy even at night but not a problem to me

Review 13:Good breakfast with a wide variety of food, eg cheese, ham, cake, cereal, fruit The place is very clean and very close to both train station and town center There is also a supermarket nearby Very good value of money Wifi ok, though a bit show when uploading photos to facebook, but no problems for google map, normal browsing internet

Review 14:Breakfast is quite poor, especially for Italy, one type of meat and bread, not good coffee, no eggs or any warm food. Could be better. It had everything standard but to choice or variety. The only negative comment mainly for the owners to think about.

Review 15:Good location, close to stations, high street, cable car station. Easy to find and to approach. Friendly staff, English speaking, helpful. Room was very spacious with great view. Changed bad two or three times during the week, clean towels every day. Free wifi.

Review 16:Wifi was getting disconnected from time to time

Review 17:In city center, close to main pedestrian street Well placed for skiing in Aosta valley if having a car Gentle staff at restaurant and reception

Review 18:We were a group of cyclists riding from Manchester to Florence. The staff we met were always willing to help. They made us feel very welcome. Great place to stay. Fully recommended.

Review 19:* no tea/coffee making facilities in the room; * no mini-bar in the room; * very basic toiletries in bathroom - only shower/shampoo gel, and shower cap (i.e. no additional 'extras', like mini-body lotion / sewing kit / hair conditioner, etc).

Review 20:* centrally located; * lovely, large + comfortable double bed; * very clean. * reasonable breakfast options (including yoghurt, cereals, orange jiuce, cold cuts, breakfast spreads, fresh fruit, brioches + biscuits), although no warm food on offer...

Review 21:The only complaint would be that there was not tea or coffee facilities in the room. But I think thats a European thing and not a British thing. In truth not a real complaint.

Review 22:The staff were very friendly. Willing to try to teach me Italian. Advised on where parking was and wasn't. The hotel is based next to a car park that is used as a market on tuesday and saturdays. The staff made sure we werenot parked in the wrong place at the wrong time. In short they cared.

Review 23:Clean hotel, central in position. Staff very helpful really tried to give us as much information as we needed

Review 24:- great location, very close to train and bus stations - helpful and friendly staffs - room is very clean and tidy - overall is very good

Review 25:Very dated - Needs modernisation

Review 26:Nice breakfast Clean Mountain view out of window

Review 27:100euro for a room without air conditioning and no shampoo or liquid soap just one tiny soap bar.

Review 28:Nothing - was good for a short term stay

Review 29:Friendly staff, allowed us to check out very late for no extra cost as we'd slept in!

Review 30:night club cabaret opposite until well after midnight made it hard to sleep in the summer.

Review 31:The reception staff, room and breakfast were very good value for money as a night stop over hotel.

Review 32:The location

Review 33:Hospitality and because we had ti leave one day early due to sickness no charge was made

Review 34:parking

Review 35:location

Review 36:Hotel doesn't have "no smoking" rooms Heating is from old fashioned radiators Noisy rooms

Review 37:Location Breakfast buffet

Review 38:the only bad coffee in italy

Review 39:location and price

Review 40:Maybe the decor needs to be updated, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Review 41:It's location, value for money and comfort during our stay

Review 42:The wi-fi was not good at all!

Review 43:Everything except the wifi!

Review 44:Needs refurbishment.

Review 45:Very central location, easy to find and parking spaces near hotel. Staff at reception were very helpful.

Review 46:Breakfast was poor, not a lot of selection unless you are a fan of yoghurt.

Review 47:The hotel is very close to the main old town which is lovely. Has underground car park (10 euros per day) which is very safe. Staff were very nice and wifi was excellent.

Review 48:Noise Noise Noise Noise we couldn't sleep more than 3 hours because of the noise all night until 4am. And we couldn't get up for breakfast!

Review 49:Breakfast Staff Cleanliness

Review 50:A bit of noise in the car park under my window, as well as the morning market, but not a problem since I was getting up anyway, but if you want to sleep, it could be difficult if you are a light sleeper.

Review 51:Lovely staff. When I asked about a restaurant. I was shown one nearby that was excellent. The hotel is well located to the historic center, as well as the train station. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 52:Parking was available right outside the hotel, but this was limitedpublic parking and cost 1 euro per hour during peak times. Free parkingwas also a public car park about 100 yards away (though this was notreally an issue).

Review 53:Friendly and efficient staff, rooms were spotlessly clean, warm andcomfortable, excellent buffet breakfast. Good central location forskiing the Aosta Valley resorts. Close to local restaurants etc.

Review 54:Room too hot for my tastes (and I couldn't turn the radiator off) – but I’m sure they would have changed my room had I asked.

Review 55:Good breakfast, hotel style/individuality, staff friendliness and helpfulness, proximity to the bus station (only 2 minutes’ walk), wifi (good enough for video Skype to family).

Review 56:Towels rather thin

Review 57:Quiet room with mountain view.Good and very clean bathroom. Good continental breakfast Staff speak good English in reception and breakfast room

Review 58:No real complaints. Maybe a kettle in the room would be nice but seems this isn't standard in Italy.

Review 59:Nice basic hotel, went there for a skii weekend and it was about 15 mins walk to the Pila cable cart and 5 mins walk to the bus. Cold breakfast served with fresh warm croissants. Staff helpful with places to eat etc.

Review 60:Very convenient for town and railway/bus stations. Clean comfortable and good value with good breakfast selection. Lovely view of mountains from high rooms at the back of the hotel.

Review 61:No facility for making tea/coffee in a room. We need to ask reception for boiled water.

Review 62:Good location to train/bus starions as well as city centre, good services and helpfull staff. A room with mountain-view was provided as I had requested in advance.

Review 63:If you are looking for a place to stay for a couple nights, clean and easy, this is just the spot. Also, 2 streets away from town centre. Bonus: lovely staff + dogs accepted

Review 64:You need to open the window since no air condition. My room was face a large car parking. As a saturday market will be held on the parking, the noise of stalls open since 6 am. So you should award during you stay on Friday night.

Review 65:The location is good only 10 min from Bus Terminue. The Hotel has no air conditioning but a fan is found in the room.

Review 66:Central location by definition can be a bit noisy, but a minor point

Review 67:Secure motorcycle parking free of charge. Very friendly and flexible staff. Central location to restaurants and coffee bars. Very good value for money.

Review 68:Hotel location if downloaded directly to gps from booking site giveswrong location. Best to use full address, I.E. Via Torino 14, Aosta.

Review 69:All to our expectations. Location in close proximity to centre.Excellent parking space in market space at back of hotel. Generousbuffet breakfast. Helpful friendly staff.

Review 70:The location was fantastic (15min walking to the skilift and 5min walking to the center to have dinner). There was a lot of good restaurants in the city center and pila (mountain) is a really good ski resort with a lot of slops!

Review 71:Slightly scruffy surroundings, but no feeling of insecurity.

Review 72:Well placed for visiting the city. Very reasonable rates. Helpful and informative staff.

Review 73:No coffee making facilities in room.

Review 74:Location and cleanliness. The hotel staff were friendly and our room had all we needed. The breakfast was good and you could eat as much as you like.

Review 75:We stayed on the side of the hotel close to the large parking lot. We were there over a weekend. It was hot and as there was no air conditioning we slept with the window open - we had difficulty sleeping as it was very noisy -market starting in the parking lot at 5 am and then rowdy groups of peple driivng from the parking lot at 12-00 in the evening.

Review 76:Central location

Review 77:Everything was fine except for the coffee at breakfast

Review 78:Good location. Clean and friendly. Parking available. Excellent views of the mountains from south facing rooms.

Review 79:The hotel is very tired and has a “sixties eastern bloc” feel; sad reception lowers your spirits as you arrive and the rooms are very uninspiring. The Sky Box was not working and was told it was only put in for the Russians (?) so that they could watch local tv and even if it was working it couldn’t receive BBC. Having said all this, if you want to stay in Aosta for one night, then it just about fits the bill, but I would be pretty unhappy spending an extended time here

Review 80:The location is excellent, being just a few steps from the very attractive town centre. Breakfast was good and service polite/friendly. We parked in the street outside as it was free from Saturday pm through Sunday.

Review 81:The location is very good: a 6 mins walk from the train station and theAirport Shuttle. Also, I walked to the central area from the hotel. Ithas free internet access. The room has many amenities and looks modern, geared to the business traveller. Quick food place and a great gelatoplace are just steps away.

Review 82:The hotel room was very clean and spacious. Room had a large window viewof the Alps. The hotel is a very short walk to the old city center, dining, shopping and the fantastic Roman ruins.

Review 83:Friendly staff. Great location, close to the old center and all points of interest in Aosta. Several good places to have dinner nearby. Underground parking with lift, that is rare in Italy. Great view on the mountains from the room. Ask for the number on the mountains side. Supermarket just across the road.

Review 84:The area at the front of the hotel is a little dodgy at night. Werequested non-smoking rooms but the entire hotel smelt of smoke. Thehotel is in desperate need of an update. There is no free parkingnearby, paid meters out the front were cheap however three days a weekyou had to watch were you parked because of markets or street sweepers.

Review 85:We booked this hotel due to its location and that it had adjoining roomsfor a family. The location is good - right near the old town in Aosta, very close to the markets. Breakfast was ok, although coffee was from amachine (and terrible).

Review 86:The limited breakfast, even for most Italian standards. The towels werelarge napkin like towels which were hard and abrasive.

Review 87:The hotel was fine, meet expectations, Location was verycentrally located.

Review 88:Not a great choice for breakfast

Review 89:Hotel pretty basic but for the price is O.K. Rooms very warm but thatwas good as it was very cold outwide when we were there and was nice toget a heat. Bathroom also nice and warm so venturing into the shower wasnot a problem when there was such cold weather! Receptionist was verynice and extremely helpful as we left documents behind in our room andtelephoned and advised us and arranged copies to be faxed to us... Notmany Hotels would do this !

Review 90:The location - very close to the bus/train station and the old town/shopping area. 10 minutes walt to the ski lift to Pila skiing area. A storeroom for skis.

Review 91:Dated, but perfectly functional decor, ugly building from the outside.

Review 92:Central location, very close to Bus station, train station. 5 minutes' walk to the very centre of the city, less than 10 minutes' walk to cable car to Pila. Free, fast wifi is a great plus. Breakfast is included and is not bad.

Review 93:parking difficulties

Review 94:City Centre site

Review 95:centrally located ....to travel to mont blanc....cervinia....gran paradiso...etc. Hotel fantastic we had good breakfast early.....

Review 96:Excellent location, close to main centre, bus station and ski lift. Clean and quiet.

Review 97:a bit worn hotel, large and impersonal

Review 98:reasonable location, street parking, effective staff, value for money

Review 99:Public Parking tariffs in area behind hotel need to be watched as they are complicated

Review 100:Location Staff were friendly

Review 101:If you don't book a parking space in advance, it can be difficult to get a bay in front of the hotel.

Review 102:The location for the gondola

Review 103:no enclosed shower, flimsy towels

Review 104:Location, friendly staff, view, breakfast buffet, basement garage

Review 105:wifi work well, market near the hotel, central position

Review 106:No mini bar. A bit old fashion.

Review 107:Down town, walking distance from city center. The room was clean. Breakfast was OK.

Review 108:Easy parking helpful staff, came away with a good feeling. Dined well in the center which was a short walk away

Review 109:It was very hot, so air-conditioner will be fine.

Review 110:near the station, staff is very friendly.

Review 111:Aosta

Review 112:excellent location

Review 113:Nothing

Review 114:Young receptionist was very friendly. Amazing view room!

Review 115:The location is very good - very close to the main bus station and train station. Breakfast was good too. Wifi in the room worked fine.

Review 116:Noisy drum n' bass disco til 4 a.m.

Review 117:Good location - by railway station, cable to Pila & Roman ruins.

Review 118:Good continental breakfast. Good hotel.

Review 119:Toilet somewhat cramped

Review 120:Friendly staff, good breakfasts and convenient location.

Review 121:Friendly atmospher

Review 122:Bad sound isolation, I heard a dog in the next room.

Review 123:Close to TRAIN station and Pila skilifts, about 10 mimutes as a maximal. Helpful stuff.

Review 124:Parking issues, no kettle in room.

Review 125:Breakfast was nice.
