Reviews for Psili Ammos

Review 1:We were there out of season (beginning of October), but I guess in season it must be crowded. It was perfect at this time, felt very private.

Review 2:The rooms are literally on the water, amazing balcony to view the sunset over the water. Nice staff. Felt authentic. Very good fish tavern right under hotel.

Review 3:- Not very friendly owners. There is high hierarchy in all the staff. (Taverna below belongs to the appartment) - Dirty old shower curton.

Review 4:+ Roommaid was very friendly. She also prepares the breakfast. + Spot at the end of the beach is nice. Nice sunset.(But many destroyed bottles behind the house.)

Review 5:Loved the location! We have a balcony directly looking for the beach and were able to watch the beautiful sunset every evening from our room. The room was clean and attended to everyday, however the bed had a plastic cover or something on it that made it quiet uncomfortable, as we would wake up hot. Also the pillows were no good, I slept on my travel pillow. Breakfast was very simple, and the staff were helpful and very nice. Great place to stay if you want a beautiful location without spending a lot of money Wifi was excellent

Review 6:i loved that it was family owned and by a lovely family that made the place warmer and friendlier and that there was an amazing fish tavern right underneath whose chef was from my hometown :) also the rooms were so cute and clean and right on the beach

Review 7:nothing, everything was perfect!

Review 8:I loved staying at Psili Amos, I've been coming to Ios for several years now and it was my first time staying at Mylopotas beach and I made the right choice. I love the hotel Nd the family who runs it is awesome!! I miss It already. I defenetly recommend it. Thank you for everything Psili Amos!! ❤️

Review 9:The bathroom was not especially clean but the pleasant cleaner worked very hard in very high temperatures, looking after a great many rooms. She simply didn't have time to do a better job, making, serving and cleaning up after breakfast, cleaning all the rooms and doing all the laundry, she was there from morning to night.

Review 10:The location is stunning and outweighs any reservations we have. Our balcony had the most wonderful view and it brought joy to our heart every morning. The owner is also very pleasant and helpful. The taverna underneath is excellent and also in a beautiful location.

Review 11:That we had to leave

Review 12:From the moment we've entered, the warm welcome the lovely staff and people. The rooms are very pretty with great views overlooking the bay and sea. A lovely restaurant (Drakos) is attached to the hotel, best fresh sea food we've had on the island.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Foremost the location is exceptional, directly at sea. The family run establishment is maintained in a proper way, simple and clean. Breakfast is acceptable. The caretaker George is very helpful, easy to talk to and very flexible. It is a bit of a cliche, but there own downstairs restaurant "Drakos" is still one of the best fish taverns of Greece, truly exceptional.

Review 15:Nothing really. Basic breakfast and the coffee was cold but who can complain when you're paying this fee and staying in the most prime location in Ios. We will most certainly be back, had the best time here.

Review 16:Rooms have beautiful views and the hotel is literally on the beach. The bus stops right outside the entrance. Amazing restaurant serving delicious Greek food below the hotel. Must try the Zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese - amazing. Super staff. Value for money is outstanding.

Review 17:This was an incredible experience for us on our last stop of our trip. Fantastic location. Authentically greek. Views to die for. Fantastic beach with water sport activities. Drakos restaurant downstairs is a MUST! Loved everything about this little gem!

Review 18:Everything was amazing about this place. The family was the best and kindest with me and my 2 friends. The location was spot on and to top it all off, we had the best seafood restaurant (Drakos Tavern) right underneath us. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Review 19:Wonderful family who gave us an upgraded room . Sea views we best in our Greece trip. The room was very clean and bright. The fish taverna is marvelous. This is the real thing for visiting Greece!

Review 20:An oasis that is run by a wonderful family. The perfect rooms with simple decor that allow the location and setting to take the stage. Extended family run Taverna on ground level is also wonderful.

Review 21:Nothing.

Review 22:The kind and friendly owner Stellios The gorgeous views. The rooms are far away enough from the beach bars so there is peace. The super comfortable beds. Having breakfast on my own balcony looking at the sea. Fantastic value for money.

Review 23:Close to Far Out Beach Club (Noise).

Review 24:Loved the view from my room, the restaurant below, Milo the dog. In a great location with a bus stop steps away. Great, friendly staff, simple, beautiful room. Close to Far Out Beach Club...

Review 25:The location of this hotel is just fabulous. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Lola treats her guests as family. Our stay was too short.

Review 26:- wasps when u try to eat on balcony, nth else

Review 27:+ location + good taverna underneath + beautiful scenery + comfortable rooms + fridge + direct access to bus transfer

Review 28:Probably the bathrooms could be updated but this was not a biggie for us.

Review 29:Position is amazing. We had a sea view room with balcony and looked right over the sea. You can swim off the rocks directly below. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The fish taverna adjacent has fantastic food a.d is very popular. The rooms are simple but had everything we needed. We spent all our time on the balcony anyway.

Review 30:The bathroom was a little bit small specially the shower.

Review 31:The owners of the place was very nice and maked us feel at home every time. The rooms was very clean and have a nice terrace with an excelent view to all mylopotas beach. The breakfast was very nice also. The place is next to a excelent seafood taverna. I recommend this place 100% to go with your couple. I liked so much that I choosed it to propose marriage to my girlfriend.

Review 32:Didn't have more time to stay

Review 33:The apartments were in a great location with spectacular view of the beach.definetly recommend staying here again to other travelers.theres also great tavern to eat beneath the rooms

Review 34:I would highly recommend psili Amos to any traveller heading to ios who is looking to experience the Greek life on the water. The family who run psili Amos are welcoming, hospitable and will go out of their way to make your stay in Ios unforgettable. The fish taverna under the hotel I would highly reccomend for great fresh seafood (make sure you book a table for dinner cause it is full of locals every night!) and is also run by the same family which adds a secure feeling knowing someone from the hotel is available almost 24/7. The hotel is also in prime location right on the water but not in the mist of all the chaos. It is great for a budget Hotel with the basic facilities (just remember you get what you pay for)

Review 35:The staff and feel of the place was great! Location was perfect as it was close enough to everything but you could also get away from the noise if you wanted too.

Review 36:The only thing that was not great was the breakfast - but considering the fact that not many hotels in this pricerange in Ios dont offer breakfast, its still a good deal.

Review 37:We had a great experience staying @ Psili Ammos during our Greek-island-hopping vacation. We got a great room, overlooking the breathtaking mylopotas beach. The owners were more than friendly and very serviceminded. Great value for money! Will definatly stay here again if I return to Ios - which I probably will!

Review 38:WIFI did not work in the room. No toiletries provided, just soap. Breakfast is poor in options (low quality juice, yoghurt too salty for our taste).

Review 39:We liked the friendly personnel, the views of and close proximity to the sea and the Mylopotas beach, great and fairly-priced food at the restaurant downstair.

Review 40:Lola promised to improoved all we complain.

Review 41:Very nice view from the balcony. Lola is perfect. Very kind, very helpful. She organized our trip from port to hotel even it was 3 at night. She waited for us in the hotel. Thanks again . the food in Dracos restaurant is perfect- taramosalada - the best at Cykladic Island.

Review 42:The fish at the restaurant downstairs was extremely expensive. There were no sun loungers. If they were there we would stay all day on our balcony.

Review 43:The location and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. This was the best place during our trip and the best value for the money. The room and balcony were very big for island standards. The hotel is a 1min walk from the last bus stop on the Milopotas beach. It was a perfect location, right on the rocks at the end of the beach where water was always crystal clear and far enough from very noisy Far Out hotel and camping.

Review 44:Basic breakfast, served 8.30 - 10am, ok at 8.30am, but no yoghurt or boiled eggs left by 9.15am.

Review 45:The location and view from balcony was stunning (room 8), the room was lovely and also clean and Lola was very friendly and hospitable.

Review 46:Location and quite location

Review 47:location at the mylopatas beach and room with beautiful balcony and direct sea view, great taverna

Review 48:breakfast was a bit basic

Review 49:great location

Review 50:The place is terrific right in top of the sea at the end of Mylopotas beach.

Review 51:Nothing at all :-)

Review 52:Excellent location at the end of the beach, the owner was a real sweetheart and it's right at the bus station.

Review 53:The balcony had such an amazing view to have breakfast on

Review 54:smelling room - small bathroom - old furniture

Review 55:good position - one of the best fish taverna of the island at walking distance

Review 56:Fantastic location.

Review 57:Under priced the room were not great at all, beds are the worst ever!

Review 58:Was great location to far out! That's what me wanted.

Review 59:The bathrooms very very small.

Review 60:The view was excellent. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were very good for a greek hotel.

Review 61:Everything

Review 62:The sunsets, the quiet, the short distance to activity and being treated as one of the family!

Review 63:We arrived late and the receptionist was very kind and patient. Would like to stay there again!

Review 64:If you are older than 22 or if you 're asked more than € 30 for a night... forget it! Actually don 't even think about it!...

Review 65:The wifi reception could have been better.

Review 66:I was travelling on my own in late May and my stay at Psili Ammos was perfect. Stelios was welcoming and an excellent host. The room was immaculate and the view of the sea and the terrace (Room 5) was simply perfection. I went swimming every day and the water was only a few steps from my room. I ate at the Drakos Taverna below for at least one meal every day and they were friendly and wonderful as well. I would definitely go back!

Review 67:Wifi is really weak in room we had to go to corridor to get it.

Review 68:The location of the hotel is ultimate, it's on the cliff of a small mountain next to the sea. Our room was clean and had a comfortable double bed. We had an amazing view from our balcony, every evening we watched the sunset with a bottle of wine from there and also we took the breakfast. The breakfast was included and really good. The owner is really nice and friendly, he took good care of us and dropped us back to the port. Mylopotas beach is next to the hotel, we went every day to the beach during our stay, the water is crystal clear you can see the fish swimming next to you. We highly recommend The Drakos Fish taverna which is next to the hotel, very fresh sea food and sea side tables. Stuffed squid is a must try. The restaurant staff were very friendly.

Review 69:My son and I, We at the time of arrival and me Stelios and Lola were a blessing. They were friendly and the hospitality was wonderful. We liked staying there very much and we stayed an extra day. The Taverna was a pleasant area to eat and watch the sunset. Leaving Psili Ammos was sad in our hearts We shall go back and stay longer. Patricia and Aaron.

Review 70:Wi-Fi reception is not that great, but obviously, you don't need WiFi when you have this view from your balcony.

Review 71:The Hotel is amazing. It's located in one of the best areas of Ios. You can relax but also entertain your self. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The stuff is super friendly and every time we needed them they were excited to help us.

Review 72:Every day the same breakfast!

Review 73:The view, especially the sunset. I liked the idea to have breakfast on your own balcony. The fish restaurant of the hotel's family is excellent and the beach beside it is great! It simply makes u wanting to stay forever.

Review 74:At the quiet end of the beach, above a really good sea food taverna. Theroom had lovely views onto the sea and rocks. If you just want to chilland eat good greek food this place does the trick

Review 75:Everything! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wish we stayed herelonger because it was our favorite place we stayed of all the 7 GreekIslands we visited. Great price, location, clean and comfortable! Highlyrecommended!

Review 76:We loved our stay at Psilio Ammos in Ios. It's situated at the end of one of the best beaches in the island, Mylopotas. It was wonderfull! The room is sitting on the rocks above the most colourfull sea, and its balcony is breathtaking. You can look at the see laying in your bed! Absolutely beautifull! George welcomed us to the room and was very nice, and always asking if we needed anything. He gave us good tips to see the island and was fantastic in changing our reservations with no extra fee, because we had a ferry cancelation. You can bring the breakfast to your balcony and begin the day with the most wonderfull view. Downstairs from Psilio Ammos is the most lovely fish taver! You can dine on top of the Aegean Sea some fresh fish and other delights from the greek cuisine. The tavern is runned by the same family of Psilio Ammos and they make you feel right at home. It was probably one of the most delightfull dinners we had on the islands. Just Perfect! Loved it! Thank you George.

Review 77:There is nothing we did not like.

Review 78:We loved the amazing view across the bay and Mylopotas beach from our balcony (room 4), and appreciated the small but decent breakfast. We also liked the fact that out of high season (we stayed 2 nights in May) there are no nightly 4am beach parties.

Review 79:Small rooms, no shower gel. Breakfast is not served, you can try to find something in fridge by yourself, in the first day coffe was like brown water without any taste. I find good coffe at the beach bar. To expensive for this service.

Review 80:Good location, over the sea on the rocks. Kind recepcion lady, Old greek house in the end of bech, far from youth hostel. But it is not a hotel, guesthouse or pension.

Review 81:Not much that mattered! Poor signage, One morning we got up for breakfast 30mins before close time but it was packed away. The smell of the restaurant below was a little bothering at first but no big deal.

Review 82:The view from this place was incredible! The seaside is literally at your balcony... Yep your own private balcony. We booked this place because it was a little distance away from the main hustle and bustle of the beach, at first it was a little hard to find (to get to reception, walk all the way to the end into Drakos restaurant outdoor area then up the stairs and to your left) but once checked in we were blown away by the room. It was light and airy, with a modern feel and our own balcony overlooking the sea and the beach. The room is quite small, but this wasn't a problem for us at all. The balcony has double doors with that let's in the breeze and Llows you to look out at the ocean while in bed. They were also very sound proof which was a bonus if you want some peace and quiet. The main bit of the beach was just a short stroll away, close to restaurants and everything you need. All in all VERY happy!

Review 83:Excellent situation at the end of the beach and the rooms toward theocean are very quiet. Great help and suggestion from the staff. Datedrooms but very clean. Good air conditionning.

Review 84:Bathrooms and showers are a bit on the small side.

Review 85:Great family owned place! Rooms are spacious, very well kept, and ourshappen to face the sea/mountains (which was a gorgeous view). Bathroomsare clean. The service is exceptional! George and his mom are veryattentive, polite and go out of their way to help with anything andeverything. The hotel is situated at the end of the beach, so you stillget the vibe of the whole beach, but if you also want some peace andquiet it's a good retreat.

Review 86:The breakfast wasnt the best thing but it was good enough, I would haveliked it better if there had been fresh fruit . The internet connectionin our room wasnt the best it was kind of slow.

Review 87:We stayed here for 4 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. We had anamazing view of the sea and the room was extremely clean which made abig difference for us. The balcony was super cute and we enjoyed havingbreakfast there every morning. Lola and her son George were very niceand extremely helpful and attentive. The location was great, right onthe beach but a little separated from the bussy section which was greatbecause it wasnt noisy at night. Beneath the hotel there is a tavernarun by the same family which own the hotel. The taverna is fantastic, the food is very traditional and very fresh. Its right on the sea sidewhich is wonderfull. Over all it was a great experience I woulddeffinetely stay there again!

Review 88:very nice hotel. nice location wonderful sea view. not too far and not too close of the village and noise. with a scooter you can easily make wonderful trips in the island. tres tres bonne adresse en juin. en juillet aout la plage bondee avec la disco en arriere fond et les activités nautiques motorisees doivent un peu gacher l'ambiance. mais en juin c'est le top !!! ambiance ters symppa, petite taverne en dessous ou l'on mange tres bien au bord de l'eau. un peu de moustiques.

Review 89:The room is nice also has Wi-fi and a nice size bathroom. Georgio speaks excellent English.  Breakfast is self service and plrntiful. The location is on the quieter side of the beach. There are shops, restaurants, car hire, excursion services from the beach. I have no problem recommending this  hotel.

Review 90:Superb view from the room! It seems like the ideal place to stay in Ios. The owners are very friendly, honest with good heart!

Review 91:Just perfect! Everything.

Review 92:Very bad experience. Room was dirty and very noisy. Staff very unfriendly, and breakfast you don't want to touch!!!

Review 93:The owner is very friendly

Review 94:The hotel was beautiful - RIGHT on the water. The restaurant was great, we ate there every night. I can't wait to return!

Review 95:The smell from grilled fish from the restaurant in the same building

Review 96:Close too the sea, seaview from the room, and balcony just above the sea

Review 97:Very nice people! Calm place, but very fast you can join the turbulent life of the island..and the fish tavern downstairs!

Review 98:Poor breakfast, small bathroom

Review 99:Friendly staff, Good location in mylopotas beach.

Review 100:The location was fantastic right on the beachside with a great place to eat below it.

Review 101:Amazing place to stay... had such a good time, very private but still in the midst of all yhe action, would reccomend to anyone!

Review 102:Breakfast only served from 9:00 to 11:00. Impossible to start early trecking.

Review 103:Kindness of people Location View

Review 104:All beautiful! Near the beach. Excellent sunset view.
