Reviews for Hotel Le Pageot

Review 1:Air conditioner did not work well. And, the road in front of the hotel is quite busy. It was very hot when we stayed. We had to sleep with the windows opened because the air conditioner didn't work well, but it was really noisy outside and the street lamp lit us too hard to sleep....

Review 2:Staff is very nice. Near to the bus terminal, train station, and a very good pizzeria!

Review 3:Position opposite the railway & station wasn't great for offering good views - but central location was a compensation.

Review 4:Great value breakfast and clean comfortable room. Really helpful reception & breakfast staff. Many thanks.

Review 5:instead of four payed regular beds there was two reguler beds and a trundle bunk beds very little room few furniture

Review 6:near to city centre beautiful Aosta Valley roman riuns

Review 7:Our room seemed to be at the epicentre of the plumbing system with sound effects from gushing water to something similar to a ship dropping anchor at various times.

Review 8:Convenient location. Reasonably friendly staff. Breakfast was OK rather than spectacular. The room and hotel were clean.

Review 9:Shower cubicle was a little small but hot water in abundance.

Review 10:Booked via booking.com only about 15 minutes before arriving but staff were ready for us despite the short time frame. Found 2 rooms that suited our needs which were clean and comfortable. Staff had excelllent recommendations on dining locations. Breakfast was great.

Review 11:The breakfast wasn't very good. It had a couple of sweet cakes and some meats but no toast or eggs. The orange juice wasn't very fresh. When we arrived the lady asked us when we planned on leaving which didn't make us feel very welcome.

Review 12:Good sized room and good pressure for the shower. It was a very good budget stay and very close to the center only a 5 min walk. Also had parking just in front of the hotel. It was worth the price.

Review 13:Noise from work (new building) across the street. Our room faced a high traffic street, some traffic noise.

Review 14:The owner gave good service and was friendly. Some faults with lights on the room were fixed at once.

Review 15:Room was basic but adequate

Review 16:The hotel is located on the main road but had no problems with noise. The centre of town is only a few minutes walk away. The view of the mountains outside our room was spectacular.

Review 17:I was unable to stay longer.

Review 18:The staff and owners were so friendly, helpful and accomodating. There were no unpleasant surprises. Everything was very nice. And the breakfast was so lovely, I cannot say enough about it.

Review 19:The breakfast outside the hotel

Review 20:It was for just one nigth and everything was fine

Review 21:location does not look great on first appearances but is not an issue!

Review 38:very helpfull staff breakfast very good value for money cleaness very good

Review 39:Very nice and agreeable from all points of view. Close to the railway and the bus station. Wonderful breakfast.

Review 40:good location within 5 minutes walk of the old town. Hotel staff were pleasant and room clean. Breakfast was good value at €5

Review 41:No kettle in room

Review 42:Excellent location and helpful staff

Review 43:We stayed 2 nights for a family of 4. Comfy and clean. We didn't include breakfast, but it looked good!!

Review 44:5 minute walk to Pila ski gondola

Review 45:Some bedrooms had a lot of road noise

Review 46:Caring, helpful staff. Location to town centre and hospital. Lovely buffet breakfast. All rooms were different.

Review 47:Not a cup of coffe nor a glass of juice. Also some very loud and strange noise turned at 6 AM, like a truck engine, and continued for 2 hours.

Review 48:The breakfast (a little poor) and the heat in the building (very warm)

Review 49:Nearby city center, parking no problem

Review 50:Parking just outside and easy walk into Aosta.

Review 51:The friendliness of the staff, The position of the hotel

Review 52:Breakfast could be better

Review 53:The attitude of the staff --very friendly and helpful! The receptionist kindly pointed us towards the historic centre of town where we enjoyed a great pasagiata,a lovely cocktail and an excellent meal!!

Review 54:The arrival is slightly off putting situation but OK once you are in. The owners are very polite and curtious you are greated with a smile. Spotlessly clean although dated. Would go again very fair breakfast and cheap which often is not the case in budget hotels. Aosta is a great place a real Italian buzz a must visit for all.

Review 55:A cot bed and a High chair for the toddler would have been nice. But i can't complain on anything.

Review 56:The staff were very helpful and incredibly sweet with our young daughter. Location excellent very close to the centre. The bus, train stations and Pila cable car are few minutes walk from hotel. Aosta and the surrounding places are marvellous.

Review 57:Breakfast would have been better if there was a greater mix of sweet and savoury options. As it was, there was enough food, but practically all of it was sweet!!

Review 58:Very pleasant service. Proximity to the town. Onsite parking.

Review 59:The heating regulation not possible and sometimes it was too hot (winter).

Review 60:Perfect location: just next to Pila lift, railway station and motorway access. Lot of parking place nearby. Breakfast basic and quite ok. Nice and big room for two. Mountain View. There was some problems with payment but the staff was so kind and solved it quickly.

Review 61:No lift. WiFi kept dropping out and we'd have to walk down 2 flights of stairs to get it up again. Breakfast was VERY basic not like other places we have stayed. Staff didn't seem to understand english which made asking questions difficult. The orange decor was too much to take!!!!

Review 62:The location was great to walk into town. Parking right outside the door was nice.

Review 63:busy street opposite railway station and ventilation unit shook whole building when it turned on

Review 64:staff was friendly and attentive breakfast was enjoyable also!!

Review 65:We were travelling through France on our way to Italy on a motorbike to watch the motogp at misano. This hotel was perfect for our over night stop, it had a secure garage for the motorcycle which was free parking.

Review 66:Everything a little bit cramped for the price and the bed had seen better days

Review 67:Friendly staff, very convenient position, very good shower and air con. Nice buffet breakfast included.

Review 68:Location, It was on a busy street, across from train tracks. Room for 4 was way too small. Bunkbed was a bit scary, like it could fall down but did not! And the peach color of the hall ways need to be updated.

Review 69:Location and the breakfast was great!

Review 70:The view from the hotel would be great if it wasn't for the derelict factory in front.

Review 71:The hotel was clean and the owners very nice. Despite facing a derelict factory don't let that put you off Aosta. It has a nice town centre and square and is an ideal overnight stop.

Review 72:we travelled with 2 adult sons, but as we couldn't get 2 rooms at a reasonable price, we booked a room for 4. It was very small for more money than we later spent on 2 rooms in Turin. So it was not really value for money at all.

Review 73:Theh hotel is conveniently situated to walk into town

Review 74:No lift. Small cramped dingy rooms. Very poor breakfast. No lift. Car park facilities where very cramped. Car backed onto busy main road with no footpath between hotel and car and road

Review 75:Nothing. The hotel was in a busy street opposite the railway station. Facilities where very basic. Breakfast was meagre. Very little choice and constantly running out of everything

Review 76:Location on main road can be a bit noisy if one leaves windows open!

Review 77:Excellent location near town centre with free car parking, very helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Review 78:Internet could be faster.

Review 79:Very nice location near center of Aosta and lift to Pila. Free parkingnear hotel. Good breakfast. Russian speaking personal. High level ofvalue/price.

Review 80:Lack of elevator, 3 flights dragging my huge bag wasnt fun. A restaurant would be nice food available at different times rather than trying to find a place to eat after a day out, would have just like to chill in the hotel. The walls are very very thin, heard everything in every room, including a very loud man above banging on the floor so much so I jumped out of my skin, he then came down and banged on the room next to me and complained of the persons tv on, sorry to say he was a moaning Brit, Im a Brit but try not to complain if I can help it.

Review 81:It smelt lovely all the time, was warm and the bed was mega comfy.

Review 82:Location is on busy street full of cars, trucks and trains. Have to keep window closed for sound. Hotel is outdated, altough they were painting all interiour. (Bright orange) Bathroom small, showerbox real small. Acceptable clean.

Review 83:Its 5-10 minute walk to the centre

Review 84:Very noisy near trains, buses, cars, truck traffic. So tired at night slept through the noise. Shower too small. Beds too small and almost on the floor. Had a coffee machine used in commercial facilities with terrible coffee, which is disgraceful for Italy, the land of the espresso. Staff indifferent.

Review 85:Location, near center

Review 86:We stayed for three nights during our honeymoon and it was definitely one of the best places. The decor is sleek, modern and thoughtful. The staff are incredibly helpful and gracious. We looked forward to the daily tea/coffee/sweets that was offered at 4pm and the sauna/hot tub was absolutely the best after a long day of hiking. Best place in Chamonix!

Review 87:The room was definitely very simple for the price...not what I'd call good value. There aren't many options in Aosta, though, so beggars can't be choosers, as they say. There were just a lot of little things that made it unpleasant. Not really any soap (there was some useless watered down stuff in the shower), the internet connection was awful, the bed uncomfortable, the 'balcony' was like, a ledge where the A/C was, etc., old grubby hair dryer, no extra pillows in the press...things like that. Just not a very pleasant room. Certainly did not want to be in there any longer than I had to be!

Review 88:The location was good, but only if you wanted to be right by the train and bus stations (which I did as I had an early connection). The lady at reception was very nice; she was probably the best part of the stay! Breakfast was...all right. A cute combination of foods to accommodate Italian, Swiss, French and German travelers and a fairly functional coffee machine.

Review 89:Like a diamond in the rough, this hotel provides unexpected experience. With tastefully and uniquely decorated rooms, balcony opening doors and remotely controlled air conditioners it provides comfort and relaxation. Quality of linen is at par with 5 star hotels. The only drawback is absence of the elevator, but friendly staff Roberto and Nicolo (both speaks perfect English), will gladly help with the luggage. Breakfast is included and excellent with variety of Italian cold cuts, pastries and fresh juices. Looking forward to another stay, if our travel brings us to Aosta again. Valeri

Review 90:The staff (managers) were very accomodating & willing to help with any info etc needed. Breakfast simple but enjoyable. Coffee good. Mant thanks kathy & Laurie findlay

Review 91:There is no elevator, so carrying luggage might be a problem, but to befair we left our big suitcase at the reception because our room was notready (we came before check-in time), and the kind receptionistpersonally took it upstairs to our room. The room-key is the old fashionbig key that you have to leave behind when you go out of the hotel.

Review 92:The staff are great and very friendly and helpful. The receptionist wasgreat in giving us tips regarding the city. The location of the hotelis brilliant, just a 100m away from the bus station and 200m from thetrain station. The room is large enough, basic, and very clean and sois the bathroom. It also had a small extra bed. Breakfast is basicItalian but good.

Review 93:The only comments I have that it has no lift and a bit noisyduring the day.

Review 94:In general the hotel is ok, good breakfast and the location is fantasticas it is a couple of meters away from the city centre, the train and busstation. Staff very friendly and goes out of their way to please you.

Review 95:Good location, lovely staff and very clean. Don't expect a 5* top of the range hotel, because this isn't. Expect a slightly older hotel, simple but comfortable rooms and excellent value for money and you will not be disappointed.

Review 96:A bit of a shame that, while the hotel does look up at the mountians, there is a busy road, a very large factory and the railway line in theforeground. But a perfectly satisfactory hotel for an overnight stop, with friendly and obliging staff.

Review 97:A few minutes walk into the old town, which is very interesting and wellworth a visit.

Review 98:Basic breakfast.

Review 99:Location is amazing. Could hear the river and see the roman bridge just next to the hotel. The room is very comfortable Internet works well too. Bed is particularly comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly.

Review 100:Staff were extremely helpful. Was old basic hotel with very basic breakfast but staff and hotel fittings well and truly made up for that. Also had a working/quiet airconditioner which was a first for 5 weeks in Italy.

Review 101:Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel room had fab views ofthe alps. Hotel was a short walk to the old walled town, shops andrestaurants. Room was clean and although not spacious was good for 2adults and 2 kids and our stuff. Beds were comfortable and better thanall the rest on this trip. Breakfast did not have a huge choice butwas adequate.

Review 102:Although it was comfortable and clean we were surprised that it rated asmany as three stars when compared with the tree star hotel we stayed intwo nights earlier

Review 103:Free parking was most welcome

Review 104:Room was a bit small for 4 persons, but we spent all day outside of our room and it was Ok. Too many sweet components (cakes etc.) in breakfast

Review 105:Location great both for city and cable car to Pila ski resort. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, free internet and parking. Pizzeria around the corner towards city center was very good

Review 106:The lighting was very poor for reading, some traffic and noise from the railway. Also felt they could have turned the heating down in the corridors.

Review 107:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and facilities were very clean and adequate for a short stay.

Review 108:Quite noisy as on a busy main road and as per many other reviews breakfast has very limited savory options.

Review 109:Good value, very friendly staff and convenient location

Review 110:Sound insulation between rooms was poorBreakfast was uninspiring - coffee from the machine was not a pleasant experience

Review 111:Unbeatable location for staying in the city but having access to thePila ski liftStaff very friendly

Review 112:Hotel is on busy road near train tracks

Review 113:Close to city center.

Review 114:The fact that the room was clean and fresh everyday, towels were nice and staff friendly

Review 115:Mostly cake for breakfast.

Review 116:Clean and simple acommodation with helpful staff.

Review 117:too close to the road

Review 118:well connected

Review 119:Nothing

Review 120:Location - convenient for the town centre and restaurants Free parking immediately outside the hotel

Review 121:Water pressure from shower, breakfast could be better.

Review 122:It was very close to restaurant, bus station and centre . cleanliness andstaff.
