Reviews for Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi

Review 1:Dinner at the sister hotel was somewhat mediocre and highly priced. Also at the reception one of the women came across quite unfriendly.

Review 2:Great hotel, amazing facilities, could easily have spent and extra day relaxing here.

Review 3:Hotel had a large wedding during the one day of our stay. There was no dinner restaurant available and the band could be heard until 4am. We should have been notified when booking.

Review 4:* You would expect that the hotel organizes trekking or other activities. No, you need to go to the turist office in the town for that. * Room ok but not for 5 star hotel (bed poor, jacuzzi not working, wi-fi on and off).

Review 5:* High level of SPA: swimming pools with hot water for sunbathing in the garden around the hotel! Good service with particular attention from staff, lots of choices, possibility to use spa from sister hotel Bagni Vecchi. * Amazing view from the hotel * Restaurant with fixed menu (42 euro per person) served in a beautiful saloon. Very tasty food and good wine (try Sforzesco).

Review 6:Should put additional signes to the hotel on the road,

Review 7:The best thermes I ve ever seen, the great location, clean air, nice food in the restaurant, all is clean, the staff is friendly, therm water in the bathroom, very good proposal for a very good money, became my favorite place!

Review 8:Plastic slippers at Spa were a bit uncomfortable but well, I should have brought my own lol. Safety box was bit too low (on the floor inside the closet). It was a bit difficult to bend or sit down just to reach and use it.

Review 9:Spa, thermo bath facilities were excellent with amazing view. I like that the closing time late at around 11pm so we used when it was not too busy as only for hotel guests. Very comfortable bed. Impressive turn down service with different items each day and final touch with candle light in bathroom :) We borrowed bicycles and biked down to the village. Thankful that bikes were fitted with batteries otherwise I could not bike back up to the hotel lol. We had wonderful experience for our 2 days visit. Polite&professional staffs at reception and restaurant. Definitely recommend to all.

Review 10:Location is superb facilities are superb staff are excellent at service but not so good at communication. The hotel seems to take large groups who, in our case had little respect for other guests and poor supervision in the spa where silence is part of the enjoyment. Not shouting to your traveling companions in the saunas, steam bath, pools in fact everywhere. As the hotel seems to promote wellness then maybe a no smoking policy for all areas would be an idea. The group who arrived during our stay all seemed to smoke as a profession hence any enjoyment of al fresco breakfast was spoilt by the constant smell of secondhand tobacco. The dining room was closed to guests on the second night due to the group dining no mention at breakfast or a sign at reception hence no dinner. The hotel is fabulous without doubt but check when you book to ensure it is free from a coach party then you may enjoy Bagni Nuovi as I am sure it should be. Sadly not quite for us.

Review 11:Love this place. It was adorable stay. The hotel itself is so beatiful, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts, majestic reustarant, well equipped rooms. And the mountain view is breathtaking. Very beatiful natural park where one can take a walk and discover warm springs and heather glades. The baths are great and it was a real pleasure to spend there several hours per day regardless of the weather. Will come back for sure!

Review 12:Buffet dinner would be nicer than the full desinged menu. Half board would be more comfortable for a wellness Hotel.

Review 13:Wellness facilities are perfect inside outside as well. Personnel is very kind and supportive.

Review 14:Indoor and Outdoor Spa facilities as good as anywhere Lovely bedroom with great beds Room with all creature comforts including bath water from natural spa Stunning dining room Fabulous location near Stelvio Pass Eat around deal with sister hotel

Review 15:Half of the staff doesn't speak English. The WiFi is a catastrophy.

Review 16:Food, pools, spas, cleanliness are excellent.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:Fantastic view! Greet staff! And very very good sping!

Review 19:Everything

Review 20:The service, the food, the free day spa and the building are amazing. The location is the most beautiful I have ever stayed at.

Review 21:Nothing.

Review 22:The sauna, the view, the tastefull design.

Review 23:very nice forest and park around the hotel!

Review 24:Restaurant closed on Thurs night unacceptable for the money spend for the hotel room (Euro 268). Hotel shuttle to only one restaurant which was also fully booked, no offer for alternate restaurant. Room service limited with a Euro 15 charge for service. Paid more for this room than any on this trip and received less service. Will not return.

Review 25:View. Breakfast very good. Close to Stelvio Pass.

Review 26:I had arranged to meet an italian friend at the hotel. I was driving from Austria and she was coming from Sondrio about an hour away from Bormio. My drive over to the hotel was extremely delayed by 3 hours as the Stelvio Pass was closed and there was no information when booking the hotel to say that this Pass does not open after the winter until very late at the end of May. The hotel is situated on the road leading to the Pass -I think this kind of information should be mandatory to be provided by the hotel to its guests at the time of booking so they can coordinate their arrival at the hotel taking this into consideration.Evidently many others had experienced exactly the same problem in trying to arrive at the hotel. My friend arrived at the agreed meeting time of 12 noon and she explained that she was expecting to meet me at the hotel but there was possibly some delay due to the Pass being the closed. The staff on the front desk were terribly unprofesional and did not acknowledge the problem nor ask if she would like to check in immediately so as to be able to go ahead and enjoy the baths and spa facilities for the afternoon while she waited for my arrival, nor did they accommodate her in the reception area, but rather suggested that she wait outside in the hot sun (for 3 hours!!)Finally when I arrived at 3pm I was distraught to find my friend had been treated so poorly and had not been accommodated while she waited for my arrival. The front desk allowed us to check in but did not provide us with the necessary information for using the spa and baths i.e. that we needed to change and put on the dressing gowns which were located in the room before going down to the baths/spa. Nor did they ask if we would like assistance with our luggage or the parking of our vehicle. Nor did they give us any information regarding where the breakfast room was located, time of breakfast.

Review 27:The park and spa and baths were amazing, both inside and outside, although the outside pools were extremely cold and so we could not stay in them as long as we would have liked to enjoy them as we started to get very cold and had to get out. It would also have been nice to have had some kind of bar facility in the park to provide refreshments by the pools and oversee the use of the pools. The breakfast room was delightful providing a bountiful breakfast and so was the coffee shop/bar and terrace downstairs. The staff on the spa desk and in the bar and breakfast room were friendly and helpful.

Review 28:Nothing, really.

Review 29:The Spa!! I wasn't aware of the size and scope of the spa when Ibooked the hotel. I was there for the cycling but according to the 5others in our group (not cyclists), I'm a genus. The spa isabsolutely fantastic - and included in the price. There are pools, tubs, mud baths, hot pools, cold pools, saunas, steam rooms, quiet rooms fornapping, outside, inside, deep, shallow, hydrotherapy, waterfalls... Youget the idea. And all with the natural mineral water. You also get freeaccess to the Bagni Vecchi spa which is very similar but with an actualancient roman bath/grotto. When we checked in, the air conditioningwas making an annoying whining sound so they moved us to a fabulous room(205) with a huge deck and an incredible view! They arranged pick up forus in Tirano and also back to Milan ( at 4am ) for our flight back home. They have excellent facilities for cyclists as well - the guide suppliedby the hotel is also a massage therapist at the spa - excellent massageby the way. An absolutely fabulous, old school European hotel that was ajoy at every turn and a super way to end our 3 week Italian holiday. Ican't wait to go back!!

Review 30:Too expensive and not worth the money paid to stay there. The rooms arenot adequate and not worth the money paid to stay there, the staff werevery helpful but I would not stay there again as it is way too expensivefor the services offered.

Review 31:Very pretty but too expensive for what you get. You can stay at anotherhotel for 1/4 of the cost and still see all the beauty of italy.Never again.

Review 32:Surprise!! Extra price for eggs at breakfast.

Review 33:Thermal water pools excellent!!! Our room not too big but very confortable, clean with balcony. Nice surprises for guests- each atrenoon glass of wine free for quests,Friday&Saturdays buffet with excellent wine. Very elegant and good restarant.Very, very polite service.

Review 34:Spacious room Amazing view from room balcony Excellent and abundant breakfast Shuttle to Bagni Viecchi

Review 35:Room comfort quite poor, staff ok, service not in line with 5 star

Review 36:The spa and the hotel structure as whole is beautifulland beatifully located.

Review 37:A lot of people in the SPA in weekend, who do not stay in hotel. There was not milk porridge for breakfast

Review 38:Location, staff, SPA, apples)))

Review 39:bathroom /shower should be towels available in the spa everywhere

The Fine Print

Please note that only children of 5 years and over are allowed in the thermal areas of the hotel. Please note that the Stelvio Mountain Pass is closed from October until mid June. This means that you will have to take a longer alternative route to reach the property. The restaurant should be reserved in advance.
