Reviews for Jemby Rinjah EcoLodge

Review 1:I think the lodge could have provided a few more basic amenities in the kitchen such as salt pepper kitchen towels (more than one) knives that worked cutting board that worked too. Also the shower curtain in the shower was not clean at the bottom.

Review 2:The rota loo was a novel and new experience. Am happy the lodge uses this option.

Review 3:I don't know if they have disabled-accessible rooms but we didn't manage to get one (but we booked very late).

Review 4:Great location, great people, lovely rooms, beautiful environment! That's the third time I go there and it is always a delight.

Review 5:Linen has soil on the top Spiders in the kitchen and bedroom Toilet system, we have the lid closed but the small flies will came out from the toilet

Review 6:The Nature and the fireplace

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:This property is away from the normal busy streets. Located in the bush, cabins are far enough away from each yet close enough when we booked 2 cabins.

Review 9:Cabins and decor are dated. Service was non exitent - we never saw a single member of staff. No wifi. Was not good value over all.

Review 10:Eco friendliness, location in the bush & really close to Evans Lookout; rooms were clean; bed was good, shower was good.

Review 11:The restaurant was not open and the kitchen facilities were minimal to cater for a family.

Review 12:Situated amongst bushland and away from the town there was a lot of privacy and quietness. The bird life was great and close.

Review 13:A function in Reception and a party in the BBQ area on Saturday night were noisy and monopolised the available parking.

Review 14:An amazing setting, close to good walking and attractions.

Review 15:There were no staff working on the weekend, the main area and the café were closed and the wifi didn't work in the room and as the reception was closed all weekend we couldn't use it.

Review 16:The location was amazing and the place was beautiful. The wood fire and being in the national park was pretty special. The kids loved the birds that we could feed.

Review 17:Beautiful secluded location for our babymoon! Note that there is no wifi in the rooms - but in a way this was a blessing. Plenty of DVDs for free use

Review 18:The lighting in the cabin was so dull, one couldn't read and one light didn't seem to work at all. The sofa and the armchair must have been of cheap foam because one just sank into them (and we're not overweight). Reception wasn't open most of the time one would expect it to be open.

Review 19:Location

Review 20:Staff hardly there, contact numbers for staff d didn't work, info pack didn't contain sufficient info on nearby facilities, restaurants etc, no restaurant or breakfast on site, activities like bird feeding not avail on weekends, tiny tv

Review 21:Beautiful private cabin in lovely location

Review 22:Arriving to a warm cabin as the log burner had been lit was wonderful. Great location for bush walking and set in beautiful quiet and private surroundings

Review 23:Only thing was if we came in and it was cold, we'd have to wait for the fire to hear up the cabin as it was the only heating.

Review 24:I loved the area, it was like camping in the bush with luxury. Thanks for providing firewood!

Review 25:Reception not open at all on the weekend meaning no free wifi, no access to tourist info or personal contact with owners. Staff were not friendly, no apologies when we were misled twice. Bed was not comfortable

Review 26:Great location in National Park close to lookouts and walks. Private cabins

Review 27:The fact that there was nowhere guests could access maps/leaflets over the weekend. We had to stand outside reception to get wifi in the dark, to wish a family member 'happy birthday'. Could guests have access to an unmanned reception or a section of the reception area using a pass or key?

Review 28:The fire being on when we arrived after a long drive. The facilities in the lodge and the setting amongst the trees. Plenty of hot water.

Review 29:Eco toilets -

Review 30:This is great place to escape from the hassle and bustle of the Blue Mountains. Spacious 2 bedroom villa , clean, and comfy. Lovely to wake up to the sounds of the bush.

Review 31:It wasn't explained to us that the resturant would be closed and the general amenities of the reception area, would have loved to had dinner thier or relax by the open fire place. Fully understand now why it was shut after speaking with managment.

Review 32:The location, self contained, the fire place, the size of the property and the rooms, the space between each cabin, extremely private and relaxing, close proximity to Blackheath shops and surrounding area activities.

Review 33:Could use an oven I guess for long stays

Review 34:Arrived as it started hailing and it was fantastic looking out at what looked like snow from the warmth of the fireplace

Review 35:small TV, short operating hours of reception, lack of shops in nearby town

Review 36:quiet location, huge room, in-room fireplace, peaceful forest surroundings, in-room spa (though didn't use it)

Review 37:No bad experiences. Just one request/suggestion is to have a non stick frypan and an egg flipper/spatula in the room.

Review 38:Peaceful location - peaceful cabin - lots of trees and birds. LOVE the fireplace !

Review 39:Left three voice messages on reception phone, with no messages returned. the messages said they were out on the property from 10am through to at least 3pm. Very annoying, but young lady very apologetic

Review 40:Pretty bush lands. Cosy cabin, but funny smell. Loved the area, so peaceful.

Review 41:One night is not enough!

Review 42:It is definitely a great place for nature lovers. Easy to find via GPS, located in the bush, clean and comfortable, easy access to 2 of the 4 best Lookout in Blue Mountains (we took the Cliff Top Track from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap Lookout, which is a 3km one way, 2 hour comfortable walk in the mountains). In addition, feeding birds with Terry was so much fun. Will definitely recommend to all nature lovers who visit Blue Mountain.

Review 43:The bed could do with an upgrade - it was very lumpy and a bit saggy, however we slept OK.

Review 44:Beautiful bush scenery surrounding the cabin. Felt like we were miles away from anywhere even tho we were just a few mins from Blackheath town centre so it was very relaxing! Louise and staff were very kind and gave us an early check in so we could get ready for a wedding. Service was outstanding.

Review 45:The staff are lying about the locations of the famous places , and they charged me for an old dirty kitchen towels because I chaked them in the rubbish bin!

Review 46:The matures

Review 47:We didn't know the restaurant had been closed and discovered it after our taxi dropped us off. As new travelers to the area we were left hanging having no car and with no one at reception. We luckily had cell service and was able to call back a taxi and go shopping for food in Blackheath. It was quite unexpected.

Review 48:The natural beauty of the setting and having wild parrots visit us in the morning. It was a spectacular!

Review 49:The problem is no wifi!even no signal in the room!location is a little bit far from katoomba, almost one hour driving to three sisters and scenic world…Anyway,it's still value for this price

Review 50:Genenally,it's an awsome hotel…kind staff,completed facilities,nice room,wonderful bathtub…and it's very easy to access the lookout

Review 51:To be able to stay only one night.

Review 52:Everything:the japanese bath, the view, the furniture, the wooden cabin, the ready to go fire, the peace, the fact that you feel alone, not packed with too many and too close neighbours, the onsite staff, she is very nice and kind and you can see she loves what she does and the place. In a word it was perfect.

Review 53:Liked everything, perhaps not would like the fact it is in the bush, but the cabins can be seen throughout? but that is not my personal thought

Review 54:In the bush but all facilities, birdlife etc BBQ area lovely - wood cabins, log fires etc especially the two storey Lodges lovely, water hot, firelighters and extra wood could go on and on

Review 55:Lack of kitchen bench space and lack of a good small sharp kitchen knife. Sofa bed lounge was not comfortable as a lounge and there were no comfortable chairs on the deck or an outside table

Review 56:Lovely location, just the thing for a peaceful getaway in the bush. I liked the eco design and the composting toilet is a plus for low impact tourism

Review 57:You need a car.

Review 58:Absolutely brilliant location, close to town and great walks but in the bush. Log fires, cosy evenings, totally peaceful, wild parrots. Amazing.

Review 59:That the restaurant was closed and kitchen lacked items such as bowls, wine opener and wine glasses.

Review 60:The Eco setup of the cabin and staff were friendly and very helpful

Review 61:Great location, lovely hosts

Review 62:Clean and crisp linen, wildlife, peaceful. Rebooked for march 2016

Review 63:Close to National park. Beautiful night sky and sunrise

Review 64:No continental breakfast provided as was stated it would be. Unable to locate or contact any staff for the entire trip

Review 65:Need more dishes

Review 66:N/a

Review 67:Location and environment

Review 68:A very simple but perfect accommodation in a beautiful and quiet spot. Nothing is missing, nothing superfluous.

Review 69:We could start walking from the cabin, had 3 hike trails in the neighbourhood!

Review 70:last time we stayed here, bath robes were supplied, that was really special but not this time. Its a little expensive for mid week

Review 71:location

Review 72:The bird feeding was fantastic.

Review 73:The bush setting was lovely and a lit fire on our arrival after a long journey on a cold night was a very welcoming sight!

Review 74:Couches not big enough to accommodate our family

Review 75:Fireplace, location,birdlife

Review 76:The bush setting and simplicity. Friendliness of staff.

Review 77:The bed wasn't warm the carpet was old and uneven. All the lights did not work.

Review 78:The toilet

Review 79:The peace and quiet.

Review 80:if can have a electricle blanket would be much better

Review 81:location and the fire stove

Review 82:Fireplace

Review 83:Bed and lounge old and very sunken in.

Review 84:Location was really peaceful.

Review 97:Being in the forest, enjoying the nature, especially the birds and the peace. It´s a unique place for people searching a real eco-accommodation.

Review 98:The birds, trees and being close to nature. The eco friendly accommodation. Close to spectacular walks.

Review 99:Lack of facilities on site

Review 100:Good size accommodation with 2 bedrooms Good location for exploring Blue Mountains viewing points

Review 101:The villa was a bit old, but cosy.

Review 102:Excellent location, nice fireplace, very friendly staff.

Review 103:Brilliant place.close to several fabulous walks.in the heart of the blue mountains and easily accessible to other key sights.surrounded by wildlife.I would love to go back. Definitely recommend.

Review 104:The extremely helpfull staff - thank you! :-) Feeding the birds ind the morning - our boys love it. The stars at night. And then the fact, that we were living in the middle of the bush - the cabins blend in and we felt so avay from everything. The bushewalks are great and the staff very good at telling about where to go and al the animals. Just the best place:-)

Review 105:The noisy beds - perhaps time to replace them?

Review 106:The self contained wooden cabins with the wood fire are very romantic and cosy. The surrounding nature makes this a great place to stay.

Review 107:The management decided to close the restaurant a few days before we arrived and we weren't told. We had a nice meal in town, but had looked forward to using the restaurant on site.

Review 108:Lovely forest location and very comfortable facilities.

Review 109:The fact that the promised restaruant facilities were not available butwe were not warned about this before our arrival - this had been one ofthe maon reasons for booking the accommodation which was otherwise veryisolated and quite scarry for myself and my daughter - we were therealone. The reception and bar closed at 4pm which was pretty useless ifyou were out walkign all day. The receptionists were unhelpful andseemed completely unaware about how inconvenient it was not to providethe restuarant and other promised facilities. The cabins were basis butcomfortable although the kitchen facilities seemed from a bygone age.Cabins were cold at night and it was difficult to make a fire as thewood was very damp

Review 110:Not much

Review 111:The quiet location and the fireplace.
