Review 3:Didn't stay long enough!
Review 4:Absolutely spotless. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Central location without the noise of a busy town. Excellent value for money
Review 5:Room was very warm and the shampoo and body wash was tiny
Review 6:Staff was very helpful. lovely comfortable bed and very clean room. Breakfast was lovely too.
Review 7:The stuff could be more friendly but we had no problem at all. No highchair for kids at the breakfast area.

Review 11:none.
Review 12:the staff were friendly, helpful and so cheerful and approachable. we would rate it as one of the most charming little gems that we feel lucky enough to have found. we will definitely return and have recommened the arch to our older children and their partners and they are very particular about where they stay. breakfast was scrumptious with many choices. we were only fit for bed after it as we were stuffed. full and plenty every day.housekeeping was discrete and very thorough and the charming staff are brilliant.t a huge thanks to you all.
Review 13:- Wifi was only available in the reception and dining room - no free parking spaces, you have use the public parking spaces in front of the Guesthouse (free from 6pm to 6 am) - breakfast not included
Review 14:- Location directly in Clifden
Review 15:We were not aware until we checked in that they accepted ONLY cash ( euros). Fortunately we had enough.
Review 16:Location was great. On Main Street of Clifden. Friendly staff.
Review 17:Nothing. It all makes perfect sense and I felt that I am getting a great deal for the money.
Review 18:The B&B is absolutely sweet. I stayed here the second time, and love the cosy terrace outside the breakfast area. The Breakfast room si very tasteful and decorated lovely - so are the rooms. Super clean, airy, new furniture adn nice colours. It's off the road througha small arch, but it is located in the heart of Clifden. This is very convenient when visiting the restaurants and pubs around. Best value for money in town and 1000 times better than the hostel across the road which charges almost the same.
Review 19:Leaving!
Review 20:We love staying here as the staff are Very friendly and always remember us from our previous stays. Location is fantastic right in the heart of clifden, close to all bars and restaurants. Breakfast was great and is cooked to order so everytime was fresh and well presented, even on check in the lady offered to go to the shop to buy me gluten free bread.thanks for a wonderful stay once again.
Review 21:this is always one of my favourite places to stay because you can come and go as you please, the staff are very friendly , it's a brilliant location because it's in the centre of town and right beside all the best pubs to go to at night ! I always look forward to staying here when I go to clifden and would recommend it to anyone.
Review 22:Very Nice place, clean, comfortable. The owner is very friendly. The location is very good because in front of the stop bus and in the center of Clifden. Very good, breakfast. You can choose between continental or irish.
Review 23:The Irish breakfast didn't taste very good (we had better in other b&bs). The staff was friendly but unfortunately he didn't know anything about the area and as the Tourist Information is closed at this time of the year, it was difficult to get tips for walks etc. All in all the guesthouse was a bit expensive for what was on offer.
Review 24:Clifden is a good location to explore Connemara. The Arch Guesthouse appears a bit run-down (the towels have defininitely seen better days), but our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a lot of fresh fruit for breakfast.
Review 25:Narrow noisy staircase and hallway. Fine until a whole group is usingit.
Review 26:The room was clean and well-maintained. The building is set back fromthe street and entered by a private alley. A courtyard with seatingoffers a place relax. Daily room service was excellent. We didn'torder breakfast, but it seemed like a great deal for 5 euros.
Review 27:Friendly guesthouse set in an ideal location. The room while very basic was clean and comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. No lift that I could see so if you have heavy bags you will have to haul them upstairs.good value for money.
Review 28:Trying to find a parking place nearby.
Review 29:very helpful staff and thankfully a quiet position set back from the bustling main street through an Arch but very central. Good buffet breakfast. Pleasant comfortable room. Good local sportswear shop where we replace a worn out rucksack.
Review 30:No parking, decor and facilities need updating, breakfast wasn't great, staff weren't very friendly when we initially arrived.
Review 31:The location was perfect.
Review 32:A bit slow WiFi connection bit nothing important
Review 33:Nice room, clean towels every morning, tasty irish breakfast and a good choice at buffet as well. Near to mostra services, pubs and bar restaurant in Clifden
Review 34:(1) Room was a reasonable size but there was an extra bed, so the room felt a bit small.(2) Toiletries were pretty mimimal. (3) Walls were pretty thin; we had one disturbed night when people came in at 3.30am and talked loudly for a while. (4) Bedrooms are on three floors (above the ground floor) and there is no lift; this didn't bother us but it might inconvenience some people.
Review 35:(1) Really excellent location. Parking is on street and costs 1 euro per hour, but only from 11.30 am to 6.00 pm, so not at all for tourists who are off on the road at those times.(2) Staff were very pleasant and helpful (so ignore some of the other comments about surly staff). (3) Price was pretty reasonable.
Review 36:Weather was brutal. No fast food restaurants open after 11pm in Clifden. World Cup was on and match wasn't over until after midnight. I was shocked that town of this size had no late night dining opportunities.
Review 37:Location & breakfast
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Just in the the center of beautiful Clifden. We enjoyed Clifden very much, the sky road and all the scenic walks. Breakfest is very good, many fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs. fantastic
Review 40:Beer barrels and empty bottles were heard being delivered/sorted a little early one morning by a pub next door but we were getting up by then ( 8.30 - 9am ) its just a small thing ! sorry
Review 41:stayed at the Arch b&b during july 2014 and we found it excellent all round. Its location in the centre of Clifden is ideal but you would not think you were in the town because its just set back off the street with its own small courtyard. Our room was clean, quiet and had loads of hot water at all times during the day.Breakfast was great and kept all three of us going until late afternoon when we ate again later around 4 -5 pm. All rooms I believe were booked out in Clifden during our visit there, so another b/b owner told me later on our final night. Clifden are having a good tourist year so far. Prebook or phone ahead
Review 42:I've stayed for 9 days at the Arch House and every day was perfect. The staff, the breakfast, the room. When I'm going back to Clifden; I know where I want to stay
Review 43:The Arch Guest House is very central to Clifden whilst retaining a superb private outside covered area. The breakfasts were excellent in value and composition. The staff were very friendly without being obtrusive. The covered pergola was inviting, homely, private and useful if you didn't want the business of the main street. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and shower hot.
Review 44:Reception: Door was locked when we arrived. We had to ring bell several times to get into the building, then our rooms were not ready and this involved further waiting.
Review 45:Rooms clean and comfortable.
Review 46:On Main Street but set back from road so not noisy. Breakfast was fantastic value. Newly refurbished room with very comfortable beds. Close to everything in Clifden
Review 47:The staff were very nice the rooms were comfortable and very clean everything there is spotless. Breakfast was excellent, with very reasonable rates. The walk in from the street is unexpected and it's like it's a hidden jewel. We plan to stay again very soon
