Review 1：not an area to walk around and no restaurants or anywhere decent to get a meal, hotel reception had really unpleasant smell, put us off even having breakfast, very basic hotel would not go back

Location is right in front of main train and bus station, great connectivity with other parts of the city. My room was on the other side of the hotel so it was very quite and great for rest.

Review 14：Parking is a real problem. You have to remember to get a tix from front desk pay and get it to your car at 8am. They need some affiliation with a parking lot. Rough neighborhood, bums in the streets. Difficult to exchange dollars to euros even at a nearby bank...which by the way waited in line for quite a while at the bank and then was told we do not exchange US dollars for euros . To much counterfeit....really!!! I am a tourist exchanging a small amount of U S to euros

Review 16：First impressions. Absolutely filthy carpet in the foyer, on the stairs and in the lift. The lift smelt awful.

Review 31：I travelled with my partner who is 15 years younger than me. As we travelled separately, he checked in 15 minutes before me. During his check-in the man at the reception desk made many inappropriate and offensive remarks to him, including the age difference between us.

This was unbelievable and shows that they are just after your money rather than serving customer needs. Location not great however the train station is across the road which allows you to leave Ancona which we recommend.

Review 43：The hotel is in a busy, run down area where food options are quick pizza shops or the really pricey restaurant the hotel recommended. We had gotten off of the ferry and couldn't find a cab so walked with our bags to the hotel, which was a good mile on some busy roads in a very congested area.
Review 44：The location was across from the train station, which was perfect for catching an early morning train. The room was good and clean, the bed comfortable. In spite of the fact that the hotel was on a busy street, the windows kept out the street noise.

Review 47：My room was clean and functional, but rather dark and badly lit. The common areas of the hotel were all very clean but felt rather jaded/run down. The room doors seem to need the key to be put in and turned to close, but many guests do not seem to realize this causing lots of disturbing banging of doors late at night and in the early morning.I chose to stay here because of its proximity to the station, which is only across the road, as I was using Ancona as a base to explore the region. However the hotel is a good half hour walk from the city center, which is something to keep in mind if you wish to eat out in the evening.On my final day I checked out and handed in the key at reception and then went for breakfast. Although I had paid in advance on booking.com (and so obtained a somewhat cheaper rate by making a non-cancelable reservation) I was met on my way out with a demand for an additional Euro 7.50 for City taxes, which they stated was not included in what I had paid. Having subsequently closely looked at my booking I now see that it says taxes are not included, in very small print. But it does not specify the amount of taxes. Despite extremely frequent use of booking.com and travel round Italy I've never encountered such a separate demand before, although I've certainly paid city taxes they were never hidden like this but included in the main bill. It was very annoying as I was in a rush to leave the hotel to get the airport bus...Which brings me onto the unhelpful staff. The staff were unable to advise me on when the airport bus would be, and wrongly advised me I needed to buy a ticket at the tobacconist (it can be brought on board). You'd have thought that they would keep a timetable, but no that would be too much effort.

Review 112：This is a great hotel for the money. Their staff is fabulous and will help in every way they can. If you want a five star hotel, this will not meet your expectations, but if you want a very clean, modern, and comfortable hotel, this is the one for you. The breakfast that comes with the hotel is also fantastic. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone, especially those staying in Ancona in preparation for a cruise. It is close and they will get a taxi for you (15 Euros) to the port that will drop you right at the in-processing point.
