Reviews for Premier Inn London Richmond

Review 1:The location on the south circular is convenient rather than idylic. And its a premier Inn, so you aren't there for quirky charm or individuality.

Review 2:Very convenient place to stay after family Christmas day. Rooms big, with comfy beds and baths, and the breakfast was delicious. Crumpets especially nice. And smiley staff even though they were working Christmas.

Review 3:The staff on duty were excellent. However, there just didn't seem enough of them. This was particularly noticeable in the evening when the bar & restaurant was open.

Review 4:Ideal location and easy to find. Very comfortable bed. Handy having the restaurant on site.

Review 5:No negative aspects to report

Review 6:The hotel was warm and welcoming. All the staff we had contact with were friendly, courtious and professional. The hotel was clean and light whilst our room met our needs perfectly with a very comfortable bed. Overall, a very pleasant stay

Review 7:Nothing we did not like. would have been easier for us if breakfast had started at 06.30hrs rather than 07.00hrs

Review 8:They have managed to obtain a good balance between keeping costs low, prices reasonable and service levels high

Review 9:No opportunity to book car space . Slight problem with bed lump in mattress and tv control needed attention to get it to work but was sorted by helpful team.

Review 10:Great location would use again

Review 11:A bit slow in the dining room.

Review 12:Good carparking at the hotel Within walking distance of Richmond High Steet, cineams and theatre. Lovely comfortable bed.

Review 13:Stayed here twice since October and we will definitely be staying again. On site parking and close to railway and underground into London. The best feature, the staff who are friendly and helpful.

Review 14:No bad experience, but as someone who travels frequently it was strange to not be able to charge food and drinks to our room.

Review 15:The location was great for our prime purpose -- the Rugby world cup. Great proximity to the buses, and for tripping to London on the District line. Rooms were a good size.

Review 16:Shower pressure can be stronger :) Ingredients for the breakfast was great but the chef needs brush up so as not to waste the ingredients.

Review 17:Excellent place to stay because great service team especially Libby & Vicenca at the reception. The room cleaning team was awesome as well.

Review 18:Only one tiny negative - the aircon in the restaurant was a bit too cool for me and it seemed to be difficult to avoid - very minor flaw..!!

Review 19:Staff were very efficient and really friendly, food was lovely - good value for money and well cooked. The room was really clean. Excellent all round experience.

Review 20:It would be great if Premier Inn could introduce room service, however.

Review 21:Room was larger & both room & restaurant were brighter than other Premier Inns I've stayed in. I was able to eat dinner & breakfast in a quiet corner & so didn't feel self-conscious eating alone. When reception wasn't manned, someone came from the restaurant to help out.

Review 22:No bad experience but felt a bit expensive to stay there.

Review 23:Short distance from centre of richmond - on a major bus route ( bus every 2 minutes ). Staff very friendly and helpful. Asked for a quiet room on a low floor and got exactly that .

Review 24:We had a warm welcome from the minute we arrived!! All the staff were very friendly and helpful, it made our stay really relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, we all slept very well after a busy day in London!

Review 25:It was a bit expensive with the rugby semi finals going on especially when you have to convert from euros to sterling

Review 26:Staff were very friendly very clean nice and relaxed

Review 27:x

Review 28:The bed was comfortabele and The breakfast was excellent. The communication amoung staff to keep a constant flow of food at breakfast was excellent. That way everything stayed fresh.

Review 29:Equipment failure - coffee machine out in the evening, not repaired until well into breakfast the next morning

Review 30:Excellent Staff - even under pressure retained a professional, but friendly manner

Review 31:Very nice hotel situated 10 minutes walk from Richmond Station but with regular buses available at door. The room was spacious, quiet (even though we faced the street), and very clean. The bed is excellent as is the toilet and shower facilities. A diverse buffet breakfast was served with a choice of continental and/or full English breakfast. Note however, you must pay for breakfast. If you are botanically minded, it is a short 15 minute walk to Kew Gardens from the hotel. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and could not find anything to fault. 10/10

Review 32:Simple check in as usual, very attentive front of house staff, restaurant (breakfast) staff couldn't do enough to help, very convenient for Richmond, Kew Gardens and also events in Twickenham

Review 33:A twin double room would have been better than a sofa bed, double and truckle bed but as we didn't have another option, it was alright.

Review 34:Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 35:The carpet in the bedroom was wet in one area. I think it had been cleaned after a spillage. I had to put towels down. Late check in meant I didn't want to change rooms.

Review 36:The location and helpfulness of the staff

Review 37:The very quiet room. Excellent sound-proofing so didn't hear anyone in adjacent rooms or above, nor the road traffic or flights to Heathrow. Also liked the way the staff were keen to ensure a good night's sleep eg notices in the corridors and offers to help if anything was too noisy.

Review 38:breakfast was identical every morning, a little modification each morning would be great

Review 39:large and clean room, short distance to vivid Richmond town centre

Review 40:No bad experience, but would have liked some drinking water in the room.

Review 41:Good location, Clean, quiet, Nice bed linen. Perfect for short stay. Didn't have breakfast, but the choices looked good.

Review 42:The only thing not quite up to scratch was the shower as it had a leak around the shower head which caused water to squirt out over the curtain and on the floor.

Review 43:Staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were very friendly.

Review 44:Absolutely amazing levels of service, better than many 5 star hotels! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and what a great breakfast in the morning (not a rip off like many places as well!)

Review 45:Room on the street side a bit noisy.

Review 46:The staff helped us out of a real jam at 11 pm one night: we couldn't have asked for more. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly throughout our stay.

Review 47:The only negative was the shower gel dispenser wasn't replaced when it was empty.

Review 48:Good location close to Kew Gardens and Richmond. Only 25 mins on tube into central London. Very comfortable bed. Air conditioned rooms. The hotel was popular with families with young kids but the hotel was very quiet during the night.

Review 49:I would like to make a complaint about my stay at Richmond Premier Inn. I was there for a wedding which was ruined by a fire alarm that went off on the day of the wedding - early morning for a long time. We were tired all day and it ruined the wedding for us - I would like a full refund please.

Review 50:The bath had not been cleaned properly after our first night. The cost of parking at hotel - perhaps a discounted rate if guests stay more that one night.

Review 51:The room was good, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good.

Review 52:Unfortunately the whole stay was brought down by the strong smell of paint. It literally have me a banging head ache and made me feel nauseous .

Review 53:Clean , lovely breakfast friendly bar staff

Review 54:Unfortunately the shower leaked out all over the bathroom even though the shower curtain was across. Wouldn't want to stay too long as the car parking fees would add up.

Review 55:The staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The food was good especially breakfast.

Review 56:The staff that waited on us were happy and extremely helpful with the exception of what I think was the "bar manager" he did not acknowledge my waiting at the bar when all other staff were busy he just stood by the till, i initially thought he was there to repair the till until a member of staff spoke to him. May have been a bad day for him but even so if he was the manager the minimum he should have done is said "hello" and explained someone would be with me shortly.

Review 57:The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful even towards the end of their working shift. They carried out their duties with extreme professionalism.

Review 58:Pull out sofa bed turned into twin beds. One of the mattresses was terrible with hard things pushing into my back all night. Morning desk person said they would put a mattress on top and she would make a note of it. We also told the housekeeping staff. By evening nothing had been done. Called front desk and she brought up two duvets which helped. Breakfast is basic.

Review 59:Hotel was within a medium walk to the center of Richmond. Room was a decent size for a family room in London standards. Clean and quiet. Well maintained. With parking for a fee.

Review 60:This was my second visit to this hotel. All the staff were happy and smiley and seemed genuinely keen to ensure we were having a nice stay. The breakfast was lovely ( the nicest continental breakfast I have had) and the room very clean. A great place from which to explore London, and relax next to the river in the beautiful setting of Richmond.

Review 61:Man on reception when checking in was very slow. Had to wait alongside 4 other couples for a good while. No apology for wait. Not even a smile. All very basic and unwelcoming.

Review 62:The room was very spacious for a couple. Bed very large and very comfy. Breakfast is a must. Great value.

Review 63:We were very disappointed. only a large and a small towel between two of us, two tea bags in the room no coffee at all. If one of us wanted to go out of the room the other had to stay in the dark because the card had to be in a slot to work the electrics, we could not believe it!

Review 64:The bed!

Review 65:We asked the staff 3 times to remove a spare bed (not needed) from our room to give us more space but it was never removed.

Review 66:Convenient to Richmond town

Review 67:Could have done with a small fridge in our room, but not a big issue for a quick stay.

Review 68:Recently refurbished and spotlessly clean. Friendly, polite and attentive staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Review 69:The bar was not always manned and sometimes you want a drink without having to wait a half hour for the bar tender to arrive.

Review 70:The staff were excellent and friendly. Very professional and accommodating. Rooms were clean, comfortable with all the basic mod cons.

Review 71:Room temp only went to 19*. FAR too hot to sleep, loads of traffic noise from small opening window, in uncomfortable beds. Paint fumes were horrendous and tools left in corridor. Never visiting again.

Review 72:At breakfast time there was not enough hot food cooked ready for guests and we had a ten minute wait for our full English.

Review 73:Everything was as expected, friendly staff, lovely clean room and mostly good service

Review 74:It was very comfortable, clean, staff was exceptionally friendly, my daughter set up a table in the dining room to celebrate my birthday and the staff brought out some whipped cream for us to use on our cake, we didn't even ask them to do this, left luggage to go up to Scotland for a few days, very secure- wished we stayed in Premier Inn in Scotland!

Review 75:Strong paint smell in hallways from renovations.

Review 76:Walking distance to trains and Kew Gardens. Loved the view of the Pagoda from our room. Staff very helpful.

Review 77:Found nothing to really dislike but background music a bit too loud/intrusive at times.

Review 78:Comfortable bed/room and general surroundings - clean and cared for.

Review 79:Bed was a little worn out. Towel rail came away from wall into bath - reported. 15 minute walk to Richmond Tube station

Review 80:Room was well up to Premier Standard. Quiet, no noise from traffic or planes heard.

Review 81:The free wifi is very slow - couldn't read any emails -so i was requested by the staff to pay 5 pound per day for the premium Internet The hotel is very far from the train station - 15 minutes

Review 82:Great bed Excellent breakfast

Review 83:We were not told about the car park charge until we tried to leave where we were informed that we had a £20 fee to pay. We were disappointed as apart from that everything else about our stay had been a pleasure.

Review 84:From arrival the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They booked us a taxi for the next day without any hassle at all and provided us with an iron and ironing board. The restaurant, food and staff were very impressive.

Review 85:I asked for room for disabled person, and got this. I think its there only one. Its as far from the lift as any room in the hotel, which given I walk on crutches was inconvenient. Also, bathroom had lots of grab rails, but no level access shower, no shower seat. For 2 in room, only 1 bathtowel provided and it needed 3 requests befor another was supplied

Review 86:Location

Review 87:It was hot.No a/c in room. Access with luggage and family is challenging as there is no proper drop - off.

Review 88:Convenient location minutes from Kew Garden.Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 89:Had a few little hiccups with mostly things that rely on the maintenance team things that need to be fixed only minor the rest of the quality makes up for the hiccups .

Review 90:Friendly helpful staff, the company should be proud of them they are delightful & we commend them on there efforts .

Review 91:Choice for continental breakfast could have been better (eg cheese/ham)

Review 92:Richmond was a beautiful place to stay and the river /shops were in easy walking distance. The family room was small but adequate with little noise from traffic noticed. The room temperature could be altered (rooms are always too hot) which led to a great nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 93:It took us a while to get seated at breakfast, and when we first went to the buffet the fried breakfast was sub par; fried eggs uneadible and everything was cols . However we did come back later and everything was much better. Very slow to get our finished plates. The breakfast for the price was not really up to standard. Which is in contrast of the room.

Review 94:Room was very nice, clear, modern and comfortable. Nothing to fault with the room. We checked in late and the automatic check in did not work but helpful staff member checked us in.

Review 95:Parking cost £10 night Quality of cooked breakfast very poor - bacon was rock hard and fried eggs rubbery with hard yolks - not worth the money

Review 96:Welcoming and friendly staff Very comfortable bed and clean room Location good for Twickenham with parking

Review 97:Not a thing. Cannot complain about anything

Review 98:Everything. The welcome, after a terrible journey with London Transportof all kinds. The facilities from entering to leaving fantastic

Review 99:The bed in our room was hard and uncomfortable and the pillowd werent much better.Poor considering they advertise a great nights sleep guaranteed.

Review 100:The staff were really helpful and location was good.Really easy to get into central London.

Review 101:Not having my request (made 3 months in advance of my stay) listened to. Being given one of the noisiest rooms in the hotel 301 Being told beds had toppers - lies!

Review 102:Close to station Clean

Review 103:Rooms were very warm. We had breakfast in the hotel on the Sat morning and it was a shambles, ordered poached eggs and they arrived very late after everything was cleared away. There was no milk for tea, this came a good 10 mins after we requested some. Not as good or efficient as other hotels in the same chain I've stayed in

Review 104:The hotel was clean, not too far from the town centre and reasonably priced

Review 105:Ideal location (approx 10 minute walk into the town) and perfect for an over night stay after going for a meal and drinks with friends. The Premier Inn lived up to expectations, comfy and clean, very easy to check in and parking was an extra £10 for the night.

Review 106:Don't like the self check in. Have to answer lots of irrelevant about all parties staying in the same room. No idea why this is necessary!!

Review 107:Staff were extremely helpful with items we had forgotten and providing catering that wasn't on the menu

Review 108:Room facing main road with heavy traffic from 6am. Lack of safety deposit box in the room

Review 109:Very clean room Good breakfast Easy access to Richmond/Kew Gardens

Review 110:Had to ask 3 times for an iron. Not sure whether there were car parking facilities.

Review 111:Cleanliness is most important to me. We had a family room, ideal for us with our daughter. Weather was good so we walked nearer to the station for breakfast each day to get some fresh air. Richmond by the waterfront was lively

Review 112:Close to visit friends in Mortlake. Close enough to walk to Richmond and Kew Gardens. Richmond rail link 10-15 minute walk away to get in to centre of London.

Review 113:had to queue to get into breakfast behind people who hadn't booked and as we were in a rush this was an inconvenience. staff were either overbearing or not there when neded

Review 114:Roadside room a little noisey.

Review 115:Good location. Superb Breakfast. All the staff were really pleasant and helpful. Good shower. Very clean bathroom and bedroom.

Review 116:Room absolutely stank of smoke. Including the bed sheets, clothes ended up stinking too. Hotel fully booked and unable to be transferred to another room for 24 hours. Staff were helpful but the smoke in the room ruined the stay.

Review 117:Staff were kind. Food was good.

Review 118:Dirty cups were not removed from room. Clean ones were left out but dirty ones left sitting Only one small towel and one large towel for three days despite asking for another set.

Review 119:Waiting staff very pleasant and nothing too much bother

Review 120:Free WiFi not really reliable. Lack of radio stations Good breakfast choices but surely for the price fresh tea and coffee could be offered instead of machine made versions.

Review 121:Friendly helpful staff Spacious clean modern warm and comfortable room Desk and chair plus easy chair Ensuite Option for proper protein breakfast

Review 122:The Bar shut at 11pm and no one told us this beforehand. I would have thought as a resident it should be possible to get a glass of wine or a beer at 11.03pm...the time we got back!

Review 123:Lovely friendly staff. Great location.

Review 124:Nothing comes to mind.

Review 125:We don't use hotels much but whenever we do we always prefer Premium Inns for their quality & service - this one in Richmond was no exception. The room was good the food was good the staff were efficient. No complaints from us!

Review 126:Moved to quiet life in West Berkshire and found Richmond horribly urban and noisy although double glazing helped. Staff wonderfully concerned at taxi half an hour late.

Review 127:Efficient staff, clean and well laid out, essential breakfast !!!

Review 128:We like that the place has ample parking, clean room and they set up the bed for my children without us even asking. The room is big enough to accommodate us with three young children. The breakfast was affordable with good selection of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice experience!

Review 129:The shower hose was broken and it would have been nice to have proper toiletries provided. I didn't pack specifics as I thought they would be.

Review 130:Hotel was nice and sufficient for an over night stay. Restaurant was lovely

Review 131:Free wi-fi is for limited to 1/2 hour a day. To make a local call I had to go downstairs to use the phone at the front desk.

Review 132:Our stay at the Premiere Inn was comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Full breakfast and Continental breakfasts were both good.

Review 133:First night there was a constant noise from either a heating system or air conditioning system - intermittent all night - had very little sleep

Review 134:Staff were friendly and moved us when we complained about the room on the 1st night

Review 135:We were checked into a dirty room, my partner went to speak to receptionist who was not very helpful! Whilst he was there another couple had also been checked into a dirty room! This then made us late for the taxi we had ordered which then charged us £10 extra for "waiting time". Our friends checked into their room which smelt very strongly of cigars. So overall I was not overly impressed with the hotel
