Reviews for Hotel Ramada Brussels Woluwe
Review 1:Unlike most hotels where you put out a sign to say that you don't want your room cleaned, here you had to put out a sign to say that you did. The staff member that we had most to do with insisted that she spoke English, but really she didn't, and she seemed to be insulted when I tried out my not perfect French. I had much more success with her colleague who didn't speak English at all, but who knew how to communicate.
Review 2:The heating worked. The place is off the beaten track but there is a decent pub with decent pub food about 10 minutes walk away.
Review 3:No complimentary water available. There are closer hotels to the airport probably for similar cost.
Review 4:24 hour check in. helpful staff. Arrive at 11.30pm and left at 5.30am for the airport, it served the purpose of this stay as an airport hotel and no complaints but didnt experience much of it.
Review 5:Coffee at breakfast does not taste good Wifi is not available in the rooms, only at lobby
Review 6:Nice hotel & rooms in general good breakfast very friendly staff
Review 7:1) Extremely small and sparse room. I asked for a larger room and was told there is none. 2) Small pillows, tv, tiny table and a modular bath. 3) Staff came to clean the room late afternoon. When I asked her to come back after 5 mins as I was leaving, she said she can't as she has to leave. I have never faced this response in any hotel around the world. Overall did not feel, look or have the facilities of a 4 star hotel though I understood it is 4 star. I would rate the room and hotel as a 2 star.
Review 8:Located near a big shopping mall and is close relatively to the business area of Woluwe, Diegem and Zaventem.
Review 9:Hotel expensive 200 euro p night for not much facilities. interior is a bit outdated / food not the best quality, slow internet. Parking far away from main entrance.
Review 10:friendly personnel
Review 11:Walls were thin, with noise from adjacent rooms. Location was pretty far from most businesses, tourist attractions and restaurants. No in room hot pot for coffee.
Review 12:Family room was spacious. Location was proximate to bus stops and supermarket. Staff was efficient.
Review 13:Older guy at reception was grumpy Tv channels did not work Wifi unavailable in my room Shower hot cold hot cold
Review 14:Not That much. The Young Guy at reception was cool Room was sizewise okay
Review 15:The evening receptionist was very arrogant and unhelpful. A double room is in fact a twin room. Apparently they have almost no double beds? A young trainee called Patrick was however very helpful. The mattresses are very thin and too soft, they felt very cheap. The shower door in our room did not close properly and the drain was blocked, so the water flooded the bedroom. We notified reception but nothing was done about it. No coffee and tea making facilities in the room, if you want room service they charge 7 euro as a cost. Airco or heating only worked from 8 am till 8 pm. This is not a 4 star hotelThey need improving their service and maintenance.
Review 16:location close to E40. Free parking Breakfast was fine
Review 17:Check out last week cold weather 8C and No heating system in room. Staff gave me extra blanket to sleep in 2 blankets. No tea, water, no other facility in room like Zero star hotel. You need to go to the counter and request them for a quine to get the tea from the machine. I will never stay again to this hotel.
Review 18:Very nice behavior of the Chef.
Review 19:There is no kettle or minibar in the rooms which might become a problem when you have a business trip with a heavy schedule. Although the breakfasts are good, the menu of restaurant is limited. Because of the location you have to choose the hotel's resteraut.
Review 20:No parking place in front of the hotel. Why not mentioned the correct address on Internet? Room 26 degrees warm - no air condition was working, only heating. Smell in the room extrem based on room spray. Restaurant: Food ok - staff not professional.
Review 21:Nothing
Review 22:The breakfast! The cooked sausages were cold, the potato was cold and the scrambled eggs watery and not good to eat! Very disappointing for a Ramada hotel! Also, there was nowhere to put your saucer when making coffee. Some bigger, some smaller things...but make a difference. A bit of attentive, common sense management would put this right and make the experience much better!
Review 23:Clean and functional
Review 24:There was no minibar, not even an ability to prepare a hot tea or hot water in the room We were family with 3 kids, but we got two separated rooms, with no linked door, even though we asked in advance
Review 25:Very close to the city center Room for 3 had a lot of space Fancy Bathroom
Review 26:i had to drive around more than an hour to find the basement parking because the map given by the staff was too small and couldnt read and even my sat nav couldnt find it
Review 27:i like the room, parking etc
Review 28:Location: It's far from the airport and from the center of Brussels about 15/20 minutes for each place. We took the bus from the airport and it was awful to get there. We had to take two buses and we got lost. From the center of Brussels it took us over 20 minutes by bus and train and we spent over 16euros total for three people. To return a taxi charged us 30 euros and a taxi charge us to the airport 40 euros...ridiculous. Bus was not that cheap and you had to change buses. The hallways were dirty. Rug was outdated and dirty. The bathtub was small. The elevator super small.
Review 29:The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke perfect English. They were very accommodating and supportive. They made the arrangements for a taxi for us and they made things great for us. The room itself is beautiful and comfortable and had excellent view. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was smoke free in our area and we couldn't smell it from others. If you don't mind the changing of the buses it is great because the bus stops right in front of the hotel.
Review 30:The bed was very soft and moving! The Internet did not work ! The breakfast was more like continental not buffet, but still good .
Review 31:The room was clean , TV all working , almost %90 nice .
Review 32:The system of passwords for the wifi is a pain. Particularly when it insists on kicking you out at midnight, meaning a trip down to reception for those working late.
Review 33:Lovely staff. A bit out of the way but nice neighbourhood. I would use again.
Review 34:Parking is (too) expensive.
Review 35:The hotel is pleasantly located in the center of Erlangen, close to connecting highways. The friendly staff is very helpfull and rooms are nice.
Review 36:I didn't like the half drunk bottle of water on my bedside table. Or the fact that there was no fridge. And the fact that it cost me 32 euros to go by taxi to the hotel from the airport, and another 30 euros to take the hotel shuttle to the airport the next morning. And that breakfast was 19 euros. Definitely I will look somewhere else the next time I want an airport hotel in Brussels.
Review 37:This hotel is just a rather dull place, if you are a robot you may well love it
Review 38:Nothing really, however the front desk staff were most helpful and cheerfull
Review 39:Soiled bedding which I did not realise until I was ready to go to bed. Fortunately as there were 2 duvets on the bed and I was travelling alone I was able to remove the soiled duvet and use the other one. But very disappointing as the hotel had been recommended by a friend
Review 40:I found the lack of lighting (lights/lamps are sorta dimmed) There was only one standard plug-in for one side of the bed (not able to charge 2 devices at the same time) I have asked for double bed instead we still got double twins.
Review 41:Love the idea you paid upfront and flexibility of free cancellation before 19:00 plus the awesome Dropbox for keys return! Oh, smoking rooms is a must unless you have any balcony.
Review 42:Once arrived tv wasn't working we had to wait 1h for someone to comes. We also ask to chamge toom because people next to us were making a lot of noise but they refused. Staff not very friendlyand even the girl we speak to doesnt speak French. also they said you have satelite tv but only have 10 channels. Actually 17 but 7 were not working.
Review 43:The parking garage was confusing to find but once we found it, all other times to park was easy
Review 44:Our room was big and comfy. Quiet. Next to highway and we couldn't hear anything. Close to everything. Liked that it had a parking garage.
Review 45:Kitchen avaliable only for extra money wich is totally unaceptable We find note: when you start to use kitchen it means we need to charge you €150 for cleaning...
Review 46:Free wifi, ver clean room
Review 47:Hot drinks in the bar were expensive and the coffee/tea dispenser did not give good quality drinks. Access to the hotel parking was a bit complicated.
Review 48:Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location with easy access to all directions of Brussels. Clean and comfortable twin bedroom with bath/shower in the bathroom!
Review 49:Small tv for such a big room meant for families I guess. My bed was 8 meters from the screen.. The inclined roof in the bath did not allow my to take a normal shower standing up...
Review 50:Price
Review 51:Extremely uncomfortable couch in a room for 4 people. Far from city center, no metro station nearby, only one bus is available to get from there.
Review 52:Nice room interior. Good quality for an acceptable price. Friendly staff on reception.
Review 53:booked a triple room got 2 beds and a sofa bed which squeaked whenever you moved.staff at reception seemed a little confrontational.parking was an absolute nightmare, given a map to find our own way in this busy city.
Review 54:breakfast was good room size was good
Review 55:The hotel wasn't easy to find, the parking garage was at the rear of the hotel, which required a 2km drive to reach. Odd at best.
Review 56:Bus stop was right in front of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful.
Review 57:like to open the windows during the night: not possible. AIrco allover, which I don like
Review 58:modern, comfort, breakfast, quiet area, parking space in the neighbourhood, staff. Like to come here often.
Review 59:Sadly the hotel is staffed by people who do not understand customer care. I got a phone call to tell me I needed to vacate my room. It was not even 11 am...I was packed and about to leave early !! Once you've paid your money courtesy is out of the window. What a shame as it spoilt my stay and left a bad taste in the mouth.
Review 60:Loved the room which was beautiful decorated and extremely confortable. I felt very rested most of the time except at the end.....
Review 61:The parking is big process. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel but due to one way streets we had to drive around several blocks to get to the back of the hotel in some of Brussells finest traffic. It literally took 10 minutes to get to the back of the building. Parking was free for guests which was nice but in the morning when we needed to leave for the swim meet the lights would not turn on in the garage or in the hallway after exiting the elevator which made for a bit of stress as we needed to leave at a certain time for our daughter to be in the water for the swim meet. No lights meant total darkness which meant we could not find our car. We spoke to the staff and they didn't do a thing. Finally we went upstairs to retrieve our computer, turned it on and used it as a flash light to locate the car and then get out of the garage. There are NO places to eat within a short or safe walking distance from the hotel. The restaurant does not open until 7:00 and it was real pricey. The front desk did have some old menus from pizza hut and a few other fast food places that delivered so we were able to get everyone fed for half the price but unfortunately not the type of food a swimmer needs before a meet. The breakfast buffet is adequate but not for 19 euro per person.
Review 62:The hotel was very nice, clean, great staff and the room was excellent. Wifi worked pretty well within our room and we were given three codes for three people which was really nice. The breakfast buffet was nice but real pricey for what they offer. Definitely a great hotel from someone on business but not really a family hotel. We were there for one night attending a swim meet so for us it was fine. There was a bus stop outside of the front door for those wanting to head into the center of Brussells.
Review 63:Simple Hamburger and fruit salad was 22 euros (already quite expensive)but then 7 euros room service charge was added!!
Review 64:Close to the office of my company
Review 65:No shops or restaurants close by. Bathroom too dark; black tiles throughout and no lights above bath, which means that once black shower curtain is drawn one is showering in the dark.
Review 66:Close to Diamant conference centre. Quiet area.
Review 67:some tourist can be very noisy, specially the Japanse, who come with truckloads ........
Review 68:Its a clean hotel, not far from my location. Breakfast nice, a special corner for business travellers. Come here often, because it is quiet, nice people who are able to help you with anything you want
Review 69:Location, nothing nearby (<800 m) to get something for food or drink. The in-house restaurant is only average. Even for the taxis was the arrival and departure not easy. Heating only via external A/C, in the bathroom was no heating at all. The waterspout of the shower was every day congested.
Review 70:Friendly staff
Review 71:parking is far and very dark, almost impossible to get there. Television didn't work!!!! WiFi was slow. Room was simple. Breakfast was expensive and bad. Staff was incompetent.
Review 72:GPS does not navigate to the adress of the hotel The service at the restorant is very slow, the food (Hamburgers) was over done and the prices too high/
Review 73:Certain American amenities not provided (washcloths) Electronic adapter supposed to be provided but was not in room Would like to have had a coffee pot in room
Review 74:Staff was courteous Food in hotel restaurant was good Easily accessible by bus/taxi Not too far from airport
Review 75:The access to carpar although behind hotel requires a 5 minute drive due to one way system, is poorly sign posted and very hard to find without sat Nav
Review 76:hot sticky air in the corridors, not working airconditioning in some rooms seems to be a general problem (not just ours - we heard that from other guest too), had to stay one night at extremely hot temperature in the room - sleep was no possible, we have gotten a better room on the next day but apart from an apology of the staff there was no gesture made, e.g. payback of some of the in-advance paid money or hotel coverage of breakfast, which we think would have been a normal behaviour in view of the huge inconvenience owing to lack of proper hotel facility management
Review 77:breakfast, bed comfort, bathroom
Review 78:I did not have breakfast. Slightly noisy in the morning due to city traffic. Location far from underground and at least 15 min by bus to reach city centre points of interest.
Review 79:Modern comfortable room, clean. Professional staff.
Review 80:Bathroom very dark. No light near bath area means showering in the dark!! Shower was broken. There was a very loud ringing noise when it was on and it did not get very hot and the pressure was low. Kitchen area had no cutlery or crockery.
Review 81:Large modern room. Tv did not work but was fixed straight away. Kitchen area in room was good.
Review 82:We did not eat the breakfast buffet. It was a bit pricey at 19 Europer person!
Review 83:The staff at check in were very helpful with directions and everythingwe asked for. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel and takesyou right to the Metro station and into the city center. The room wasspacious for our family of 4 and we were very impressed with thecleanliness and quality of the furnishings. Very good value
Review 84:Too many young people out on weekend parties in what appeared to be a hotel targeting business people was less than ideal. One young man stood by the buffet and ate his breakfast, licking his fingers and grabbing food on display.
Review 85:We liked location away from the town centre and parking was cheap. Breakfast was a good and a wide range available.
Review 86:The parking is difficult to find in this area
Review 87:The location and facility are ideal for tourist to relax in the beautiful city out of the centre, in particular the staff of this hotel are kindly and friendly
Review 88:Only Cora store close by. A bit off. You need to take bus 79 to get somewhere. I took this hotel due to business but for pleasure I wouldn't take it due to the bad location.
Review 89:Clean. It was walking distance to the office of my business customer.
Review 90:We phoned the day before to confirm our reservation and were told we didn't have one. Not sure if its the Ramadas fault or booking.com but needless to say we were not impressed. We ended up staying at the Novotel which was fantastic.
Review 91:It is not ok to without checking put someone in a room/corridor where smoking is allowed. We were not consulted but the whole corridor and the room smelled like sigarettes! Very unpleasant for a non smoker!
Review 92:Noisy customers in the lobby and in the corridor during the night. TV not working even when I have followed explanation on "how to use it". Did not have time to ask to get it fixed. Way to breakfast area not really well indicated.
Review 93:the room big enough and quiet Good breakfast Quick check out the day before leaving (very convenient)
Review 94:The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is a little away from the centre, but once you get used to the bus schedules it is ok. The rooms are nice and tidy.
Review 95:A kettle with some coffee and tea satchets wouldn't have cost the hotel a fortune! More choice of Channels on the TV, including some from India would have been good, as lot of Indians visit Brussels!
Review 96:Front office staff were very courteous. Very convenient location. Bang opposite the hotel is the bus stop.
Review 97:Unfortunately the beds are too soft for me...but I like hard matress so it's not the Hotel's fault. And both mornings that we had breakfast it felt like we got the leftovers....we came down at 0930 AM and whatever was there is what we had....just felt like the effort was not put in to refresh a little bit of the food.
Review 98:The staff was very kind and helpful as the room that I ahd my kids in did not have power in the entrance and bathroom. They gave us another room immediately. The size of the room is very comfortable for a family when small kids are involved...they can move around a little bit. I would definitely stay there again as I like the size of the rooms and know that I won't be on top of my kids if we have to be in a family room again.
Review 99:Extra cost for parking, staff not very hospitable.
Review 100:Large rooms, nice bathroom and separate toilet. Breakfast.
Review 101:Bad sound isolation , along highway, OLd windows not closing well. Not to recommend.
Review 102:Near park and center. Good food.
Review 103:WiFi internet speed was terrible
Review 104:Hotel blocked deposit on cc for more than a month
Review 105:Location
Review 106:Location. Accessibility of the parking lot Only one waiter working in the restaurant
Review 107:The location Staff Room
Review 108:Wi-Fi free
Review 109:Staff, we arrive late, it took half an hour to get the room and the recepcion was dirty a total mess
Review 110:Breakfast
Review 111:Aircon extra and no opening Windows
Review 112:too many tourist buses/groups
Review 113:value for money
Review 114:Not much Restaurant options.
Review 115:Good Hotel
Review 116:Far from city center
Review 117:Clean and comfortable
Review 118:Wifi in our room was bad
Review 119:Great value and location
Review 120:Buses do not come in time
Review 121:Nice atmosphere
Review 122:Room was smelly, location worst i have ever seen. Far from everything. Very high priced.
Review 123:Nothing excluding night staff.
Review 124:Expensive breakfast. Long checkout (trainee staff)
Review 125:Bar/ Breakfast room. Selection of Beers. OK gym.
Review 126:I like this hotel and would stay again. Breakfast, however, is expensive.
Review 127:Parking location must be improved.
Review 128:Room service waking me up in the morning...
Review 129:The receptionist Elise and the restaurant waiter Momom are top!
Review 130:Hotel has 2 entrances, very bewildering to firstcomers who drive.
Review 131:Beautiful accommodations for the price of 120/night.
