Reviews for Agriturismo Castelluzzo
Review 1:Maurizio is the most friendly and helpful host you could wish for. The rooms/apartments are spacious. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment that had a mezzanine with our 18 month old, and didn't really think the logistics through! We asked Maurizio if we could move rooms and he gave us the room next door, whilst still letting us use the apartment for cooking. He also gives guests fruit, veg and olive oil from his farm, and he even has wine you can buy. He also has horses which our daughter obsessively went to see every day, and a lovely dog Charlie, and lots of cats! The location is great, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are really close to wonderful beaches and San Vito lo Capo which while we were there had a couscous festival. It was great!
Review 2:The wi-fi doesn't reach the self-catered apartment.
Review 3:Maurizio and his wife were very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived, we were served delicious fruit from the farm along with local cookies and coffee. Then, Maurizio recommended plenty of great beaches and other places to visit. Finally, we were invited to dinner with the family, other guests, and friends. The menu included freshly caught fish and octopus!
Review 4:Our house had a loft bedroom. It was fine for us but if you have trouble with steep stairs, you should ask for another one of the accommodations.
Review 5:This was an awesome experience! Our host was the best and he took us out to his vegetable gardens and explained his olives and the process of pressing the olives for the oil. Where else can you sit on your patio while a shepherd marshals a flock of sheep right by you? The location is excellent for the beaches as well as many sites in the area. We needed longer than three nights!
Review 6:We enjoyed the hospitality of Maurizio and his family. The area is calm and very close to the sea and the beatiful nature. In the small village of Castelluzzo there is everything you need (fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, meat and there is also a small supermarket). The farm had several cats and a very friendly dog (Charlie) which we loved a lot.
Review 7:Mauritzio and his family welcomed us as one of their own. After two weeks in Sicily, this was the first time we truly felt that we were experiencing this Sicily for what it is. From wandering the streets of Erice to a relaxed, spontaneous communal meal, we felt like part if the community. We have left this place with fond memories and new friendships that will endure. That is the most you can ask from any holiday.
Review 8:Our terrazze was shady, which is good when it is very hot. But in May alittle sunshine would be nice. Also some sunchairs would be nice.
Review 9:Mauritzio' hospitality is wonderful. We stayed for 5 nights, and oneevening he even invited us and the other guests to an italian dinner.Theflat was nice and tidy.
Review 10:We had a lovely time!!! Maurizio, owner of the place is so friendly and helps you with everything!!! Place is beautiful!!! Olive trees, flowers and in the summer his own vegetables! Saterday night we had diner with his family and the other guest, it was amazing!!!! Thank you maurizio for great stay
