Reviews for Richmond Inn Hotel

Review 1:Limited parking available (there is multi storey nearby, but you have to pay). Noise from bars/ clubs (if you are at front of building).

Review 2:Good sized room

Review 3:Nothing,.Everything under the hotel's control was done well

Review 4:The willingness of the reception staff to do that bit extra, with a smile. Off street parking available

Review 5:The room got a little bit too cold for me but it was nothing serious.

Review 6:The staff was very helpful. Large and comfortable room. The breakfast was alright. The hotel is close to Richmond train station and some bus stops.

Review 7:Clean, comfortable room; quick check-in; free-wifi; staff and service. I got a space in the car park, though I'd advise anyone with more to carry from the car than the smallest suitcase to walk round the block to the front door as the staircase from the car park is narrow. Not enough to give a bad mark but something for visitors to bear in mind.

Review 8:Thought tea/coffee selection poor - only 2 tea bags 1 hot choc 1 glass. Left special request for fresh milk in room but no response.Pack of cheap biscuits. Bath towels really small. Pillows poor quality and only 1 each - strange for 4* - breakfast extra £21 so didn't bother. Disappointed for £130

Review 9:Room was clean - managed to get car parking space by sheer chance

Review 10:I was staying in a room on first floor with bay window. After a long meeting I was looking forward to a good night sleep but all night a fan or something similar was runing and making noise which kept me awake.

Review 11:The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The location was ok as my meeting was not far away. I managed to park my car in provided parking space which was a bouns in London area

Review 12:The plug for the hairdryer was nowhere near a mirror. Either a longer lead for the hairdryer or a mirror needs to be places above the dressing table. It actually looked like one had been removed (or maybe it was a picture).

Review 13:Shower, location, room size, quietness (for a hotel v quiet)

Review 14:Street in front of hotel is quite busy and it can get very noisy in the room.

Review 15:Really good valule for money, nice spacious room, newly refurbished bath room.

Review 16:Heathrow jets going over every 2 minutes from 5:30am every day. You got used to it pretty quickly but it somewhat spoils an otherwise lovely suburban setting.

Review 17:Relatively roomy rooms (for London) - good wifi - good shower - good access at Tube and rail.

Review 18:Extra charge for breakfast. Some cobwebs in bedroom. Artificial plants in window boxes at front of hotel have seen better days and gives the hotel a dated look.

Review 19:Spacious bedroom and comfortable bed

Review 20:Mattress was very firm, great for my partner, not so great for me!

Review 21:I was very happy with the size and layout of the room, there was plenty of space to move around getting ready. Really liked the bathroom layout too.

Review 22:Offered free parking and I did request it on booking, however there was no parking available and had to ride around to find parking which was time consuming.

Review 23:Quiet, very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful

Review 24:Nil.

Review 25:Great for the rugby in that you can walk to Twickenham and is close to good restaurants and pubs.Five minute walk to the rail station and close to the beautiful parks of Richmond.

Review 26:scruffy / tired / old / warn inside. No iron or board in room No information pack No room service / paper / alarm calls A very low 4*

Review 27:Locatoon

Review 28:Very limited parking at hotel. We weren't able to park in their parking area but there is metered parking all around.

Review 29:Great shopping area. Short walk to the river and train station.

Review 30:We arrived at 3.30pm and were given a room which had not yet been made up. This was quickly put right by giving us one that had. However, not a very good start. Car park extremely small - beware!

Review 31:The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable.

Review 32:I am a frequent London visitor and this was my best stay. Quaint, location was wonderful, staff helpful, room was lovely and our stay was to remember.

Review 33:No food served after breakfast and no decent restaurants within walking distance. Also no porters for heavy luggage, though a handyman did come when called.

Review 34:Location acceptable

Review 35:The restricted size of the car park. No entrance/shortcut from car park at rear to the reception. No lift, although the offer to carry bags to room was made.

Review 36:Very good location for town center. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Review 37:The bed was a little to hard for us, we're used to sleeping on a foam mattress.

Review 38:The service of the staff is helpful and quick. The accommodation was clean and roomy.

Review 39:Small car park but it was good overnight and next day staff allowed me to leave car for a few extra hours; this was great and friendly. No drinking water in room but a machine downstairs; bigger cups for nice chocolate drink needed; actually recommendations...I really liked the place!

Review 40:On arrival very pleasant young man; very accommodating. Air Conditioned room option. Pleasant clean room. Although to the streets was ok for me. Fridge good; lighting good. Bed good; clean was great! TV and great wifi!

Review 41:As above stayed in 5* Central London for less & superb quality hotel, Richmond hotel no comparison

Review 42:Expensive hotel, bathroom tiles stained needed descaling, window catches broken , TV remote really dirty had to clean it before we could use it , TV came on 5.30 in morning automatically. Plastic faded flowers in window boxes at front of hotel. Lounge area very small . Convenient for town.

Review 43:Way over-priced. I'd pay £70 if there was a pool/gym, dinner and breakfast, and something for the kids to do included in the price.

Review 44:Having the use of the kitchen was very helpful as we were working on site for a music festival. Clean facilities. Pretty and quaint building.

Review 45:The room was an attic room and was very small. We could hear traffic noise all night despite the widows being shut. It was also directly on the heathrow flight path so low flying planes from the early hours of the morning virtually every minute made sleep impossible. I would strongly recommend earplugs if you are staying at this hotel.

Review 46:Nice hotel, friendly staff

Review 47:The access to the Hotel from the car park is terrible if you are carrying heavy bags like I was.The narrow path and stairs was not good.

Review 48:The location to transport, shops and restaurants is fantastic. Staff were good and the room was good value for money.

Review 49:There was very limited parking for the size of the hotel. The breakfast was poor quality/standard and overpriced for both continental and cooked.

Review 50:Staff were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable. Convenient walk to Richmond, the river and the park.

Review 51:the room was tired the bed was worn and to soft. the woman staff were not very friendly at all the hotel just lacks any atmosphere or sole .

Review 52:it was clean

Review 53:Limited public facilities. Had to walk through breakfast area with bags to exit hotel.

Review 54:Location. Served its purpose as central base for overnight stay. Room was small but comfortable. Staff helpful.

Review 55:Car park far too small No one offered to help with luggage Incorrect info from female receptionist Breakfast room very canteen like, no ambience, but we had breakfast elsewhere

Review 56:The location Very clean Beds comfortable Price on deal (would not have paid normal price!)

Review 57:There wasn't anything I didn't like - but if I was to b picky, then a slightly larger TV

Review 58:The location, the room facilities and cleanliness was excellent and for the price was exceptional

Review 59:Sound on TV didn't work on most stations but to be fair I didn't report this until I checked out as it wasn't important to me.

Review 60:Location, friendly staff, nice room and bathroom. Excellent value but that's because I got a cheap deal.I didn't have breakfast there but found brilliant Albert's Deli just across the road which I recommend highly for brunch!

Review 61:The bed sloped from feet up to head low. 15 mins and my head was spinning, had to change the pillows to the other end and then kept losing the pillow during the night with no headboard. Also, the safe seemed to have a code of its own and had to get the reception to get it open in the morning.

Review 62:Good Location in Richmond and close to Kew Gardens.

Review 63:Paying for breakfast separately. Aircraft a bit noisy overhead but get used to it!

Review 64:Room size and comfort excellent. Location excellent for Richmond Underground.

Review 65:We arrived to a friendly receptionist who quickly checked us in and directed us to our room. The room was large and spacious, clean and quiet considering it is next to a road. The tube is 4 min walk which is perfect for travelling. Has the added bonus of a car park aswell. Would use again.

Review 66:we arrived late back to the room - only 1 pillow on bed each so had to use cushions off the sofa. easily rectified I am sure if you ask for more but we were tired and it was late.

Review 67:Easy check in. We were early and reception happy to look after our bags and transferred them to our room for when we returned. Upgrade to a suite was most welcome.

Review 68:Stayed on the hottest day of the year and was grateful for air con, but it was noisy.

Review 69:I had a good, spacious room, with big bathroom. Staff friendly and looked after my bag for day once checked out.

Review 70:I was extremely impressed by the lady on reception and the room was superb, also the bar although quiet (perfect for me as I was reading anyway) was nice

Review 71:No free bottle of water in the room. No one helped me to carry my luggage in the room. What makes it worse, the lift was out of order.

Review 72:Staff always smiling and greeting. Room is clean and housekeeping is good.

Review 73:Only negative is that there is no dinner catering on site but there is a nice gastro pub 5 minutes walk away, so not too much of a problem

Review 74:Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and large room. Room with bath and over shower. Quiet and great nights sleep on comfy bed. Parking. Overall a very welcoming hotel.

Review 75:My room was located on the bottom floor and I could hear guests walking in room above. A bit annoying, but otherwise quiet.

Review 76:Excellent location, close to train station, restaurants, and stores. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and nicely decorated.

Review 77:They could do with buying some new mattresses I had twin room 1 bed very uncomfortable mattress was bad the other bed was better

Review 78:good location for trip to London and has car park plus sensible price

Review 79:Very quiet and clean! The hotel is just few minutes away from the riverside and train/bus station. Very accessible! Definitely we would like to come back.

Review 80:Staff were very casual in appearance and manner, not as expected at a 4 star hotel. Room was small right next to lift shaft with the world's smallest wardrobe. Decor was very dated and in need of freshening up. After spending 4 star money for the room, there were none of the little touches that make a 4 star hotel experience.

Review 81:Great location near to the centre of Richmond. Even though it is on the main road, there was little noise. We were lucky to get a parking space as car park is very small (we knew that before we arrived).

Review 82:Only two pillows on a double bed. One telephone call and this was swiftly sorted out.

Review 83:This hotel met all our needs. Free Parking. Easy check-in. Nice large room, Extremely comfortable bed. Uncomplicated shower! Nice hot water that didn't run cold. Excellent free wi-fi and a hairdryer that actually dried my hair quickly!

Review 84:Choice of continental or full English chose continental but not as good as it looked

Review 85:a few minutes walk from the tube station, near to lots of places to eat and drink, room clean and comfy, outside noise minimal

Review 86:Only criticism is scrambled eggs at breakfast too dry/congealed.

Review 87:Comfortable. Reasonably quiet considering flight path. Good location, some very good restaurants nearby.

Review 88:Tired bathroom, bed too soft, a little dated with the decoration. The road was very busy so noise was a little too disturbing.

Review 89:Location was key to keep costs down for travelling to meetings.

Review 90:The double bed was only a standard double - a king size would have beenpreferable.BREAKFAST SHOULD BE INCLUDED I ROOM RATE

Review 91:A good location for both kew gardens and richmond town centre - bothwithin easy walking distance.GREATLY APPRECIATED BEING ABLE TO PARK IN HOTEL CAR PARK

Review 92:Parking a bit restricted. Narrow stairs to reception with a loose and faulty hand rail. Breakfast was very strained which reflected on the service and facilities catering for breakfast.

Review 93:Comfort, near the train station, free parking.

Review 94:Only negative we found, were the pillows were a little hard but apart from that faultless...

Review 95:No complaints about this hotel, the highlights for us were, late night /check in reception, on site parking, friendly staff and peaceful rooms.

Review 96:- Room smelled incredibly stale - Bed was uncomfortable - Room was noisy being so close to the main A road into London with what appeared to be only single-glazed windows.

Review 97:Location was as expected.

Review 98:A couple of items to improve to score even higher would be: More pillows (one not enough) Better bread and bakery items for breakfast. Otherwise all good.

Review 99:It was a pity there is no evening food suppy which creates the need to go out of the hotel to eat

Review 100:Staff very helpful and supportive in explaining facilities and locality

Review 101:Friendliness of staff at reception location size of room parking free a bonus I would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit west London compared to premier inn

Review 102:I was in a Twin room and the first bed was so bad, I could feel the springs but moved over to the other bed and it was much better.

Review 103:Excellent Customer Service

Review 104:Staff should greet the customer in good manner like good morning/good afternoon/good evening. I missed these greetings even if I said these first but didn't get these in return. :(

Review 105:Location as this is very closed to our Regional Head Office.

Review 106:Hotel location excellent, friendly and efficient staff, comfortable quiet room (being upgraded to a suit was a bonus), free parking, lovely breakfast.

Review 107:Too noisy even though I'd adked for a quiet room. Couldn't open the window because of noise, not good if you are suffering from jet lag and need to sleep at strange times.

Review 108:Location in relation to the Richmond Station and the business function I was attending - I could easily walk to both. The reception staff when I arrived (22:50) were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Review 109:Room decor looking a little tired. Had the booking.com room that they clearly give to all bookings from the website. Quite a lot of traffic noise as the double glazed window doesn't shut properly . I would stay there again but ask not to be put in room 225

Review 110:Tea/coffee tray a bit limited. 1 teabag each, 1 hot chocolate between us and 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf. Quite poor considering the cost of the room compared to other hotels I have stayed in. No fruit tea etc.

Review 111:The hotel was comfortable and clean and all the staff attentive and courteous.

Review 112:Lack of attention at breakfast after being served all the staff disappeared and I needed something. No one asked if everything was okay. The sausage was the worse I have ever had. Seemed to have been cooked earlier and microwaved to death, was like cardboard and poor quality. No staff were around to mention this to. Handed the sausage in at reception in a tissue to give to the manager to examine as proof, but the receptionist just threw it in the bin she did say she would mention it to the manager. Sorry to go on, but as a previous company owner these little things can go unnoticed but make the difference. I nearly skipped breakfast, as Greedies is near Isleworth School where we are working and is very good quality. Next time I will be hovering where to have breakfast.

Review 113:Cleanliness, ambience, parking and location. Reduced price made it within our target range. Very good bed and linen. Pleasant staff. Good welcome on arrival. Within walking distance of town.

Review 114:The staff were helpful but not exactly happy to serve. Breakfast is overpriced and you cannot reserve parking.

Review 115:the hotel is extremely clean with all the commodities required such as a hair drier (which didn't feel like it would blow up after 2 mins) you can request an ironing board. The room was spacious and the bed nice and comfy. Although the hotel is situated next to a fairly busy road it is quite and peaceful in the rooms. Also they include free parking assuming you are able to find a space.

Review 116:Could have done with extra pillow, too tired from exploring to ask! However I am sure if we had, one would have been provided.

Review 117:Excellent location for Kew Gardens, Ham House and Richmond.

Review 118:Limited car parks so if you can't get a parking space, the closest car park is Richmond Rail Station.

Review 119:Location was excellent with only a short walk to the high street. The Hotel starts breakfast from 7.30am every day.

Review 120:The hotel is in an excellent location - close to the station. Clean room. Very pleasant staff and a lovely continental breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Review 121:Decor probably isn't as up-to-date as the modern traveller normally experiences. Noisy water system continued frequently during the night.

Review 122:I liked the parking facility. The price and location was ideal for my purposes.

Review 123:Staff very helpful and friendly upon arrival Location of hotel is just a few mins walk from train and tube station Reliable free wifi Very nice breakfast

Review 124:I was only there for 3 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer!

Review 125:I booked through Booking.com and thought I had booked another hotel. We surprised when I arrived, for location was not where I thought I had booked, and it turned out to be better being close to town and the railway station.

Review 126:We slept here on New Years Eve, with the entire town sold out, this was the last resort. I guess because of this time, it was too expensive for the value.

Review 127:It wasn't far from the train station.

Review 128:bed appeared like 2 beds joined together couldn't sleep in the middle of bed, even though it was double bed room, bed was not comfy.

Review 129:everything was excellent.....excellent staff,clean rooms,everything perfect.

Review 130:An intruder tried for 10 minutes to get into our room at 5 a.m. in the morning. Despite calling the so called Night Security, he failed to act on our phone call, he didn't even bother to walk up to the first floor room where we were. He didn't even report it to Management next morning and Reception looked at us blank as we waited for an apology. We were told to write to the Manager. Avoid this Hotel at all costs, it's just your money they are after.

Review 131:It was clean, the bed was comfortable, yes it's free WIFI.....But I would expect all hotels have this as standard.

Review 132:The hotel is easy to find but going to the car park ended up an adventure if you dont know London or the area. Nothing too bad either. The hotel car park, however, is very small. There's room for about 7 cars and I was expecting a much bigger one because no reservation was needed. We were allowed to park outside the marks though and all went fine. Finally, there was a missing light bulb in the room. But everythign was really nice so my guess was the previous sleepers took it as a xmas recuerdo :). Overall, all went smooth and simple with no surprises -- as a hotel should be.

Review 133:Everything was as expected in the good way.

Review 134:Pram had to be carried up the steps - not a big deal, but just informing others!

Review 135:Very helpful staff. We stayed with our 7 months old son, the staff made it easy and comfortable

Review 136:Rate didn't include breakfast.

Review 137:Friendly welcoming staff who made our stay easy with a cot bed in the room for our little boy. The hotel is clean and comfortable and good value by London standards as the room was quite large although the rate didn't include breakfast. Well located for Richmond High St and though the parking is a little confusing, call ahead of arrival and they will take you through it
