Reviews for Agriturismo La Baita
Review 1:Difficult to reach location and natural park closed
Review 2:The landscapes, adorable people, fantastic gastronomy, fresh air, beautiful accommodation! The perfect place for a romantic escape or family trip!
Review 3:Nothing bad.
Review 4:Everything! The food was fantastic, room very clean, hosts very welcoming. Hotel slightly out of the way but not a problem for us as we had a car. Absolutely loved it.
Review 5:For those who does not well feel the serpentine road (like me, I did not know it though) it would be a challenge to descend to Amalfi and the whole way back. Those 15 km can last at least 1.5 hours (without traffic). But you can always make a stop on the sideroad to breath and watch the amazing views
Review 6:Excellent location - neat and beautiful, kept very well by nice family
Review 7:I realise its a different country from the one im from but maybe just a little bit of english wouldve helped. Complete language barrier.
Review 8:They were really nice, kind people.
Review 9:Great place away from the crowd, Nice farm atmosphere, Nice starting point for light treks that gives a different angle of Amalfi coast, Good food,
Review 10:The father of the house is not the most welcoming person, but he is very much just looks not pleased.
Review 11:The farm house is located on a beautiful place surrounded by grapes and other flora. Beautiful and new facility
Review 12:Friendly staff, awsome views and landscapes. with tasty home made food, don't forget to check the beef chop, the best one i tried in Italy, excellent for the money !!
Review 13:Michele and his wife were great hosts. We ate dinner there in the restaurant several times and really enjoyed the meals. The family pizza was huge. They cleaned and mopped our entire room every day. No pool but a very good deal for the price.
Review 14:A little bit out-of-the-way, and hard to get there at the first time..
Review 15:Perfect place to hiking, relax. San Lazzaro town ceter is close. Spellbinding views, clean, tarnished rooms, kind owners and domestic, tasty breakfast with various home-made marmalade, banana bread, tasty egg, ham and so many wonderful foods! I recommended this place for everyone!
Review 16:A beautiful place with beautiful people! Great hosts, Ema and Michele are there for you all the time, the food is incredible (please have dinner there, you won't regret it!!), with homemade ingredients, friendly atmosphere, good wine. The view is superb, the rooms are clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and daily cleaning. Rent a scooter for the coast and you stay will be perfect. We definitely recommend it!!
Review 17:it's a bit of a drive to the coast
Review 18:the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed coming back to relax on the balcony after a day out on the coast. Very relaxing and memorable stay. It's also close to some great hikes.
Review 19:Quite hard to get there (you must be determined :)) but still it is 11/10!
Review 20:11/10! Everything was great! Very nice owners, best food (how can anybody eat somewhere else?), beautiful place. Rooms were very clean (they cleaned them every day). Atmosphere was great. We will come back there for sure - not only once. :) Grazie mille!
Review 21:The place is a bit far from the turist area of Amalfy coast
Review 22:We ate there breakfast, dinner and lunch.Everything was so fresh and tasty. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The owner gave us a ride to start point of our track to Valle dell Feriere, that was very near the hotel.
Review 23:It is in mountain area, so you really need a car to visit nearby cities. Lack of bottled wines, only table wines which quality is very average. Dinners (food was great) would be much better with a bottle of good wine.
Review 24:It is a family run business, small hotel with a few rooms. The owners are very helpful and warm people, typical Italians in good sense of that meaning . Breakfasts are diverse, it is not only a piece of cake and coffe but also cheese, italian sausages or ham, home made jam and juice. You have to try their dinners - very tasty for very reasonable price. Try starter whick is called "La Baita" but be informed that it is a huge plate of different small dishes. Our room was simple but very clean and with comfortable bed.
Review 25:2 hours from Salerno and 1 hour by bus from Amalfi. It is not easy to reach if you are traveling by public transport.
Review 26:Nice wooden furtutures made our visit confortable. Hosts make perfect Italian dishes! There are hike routs for mountin lovers.
Review 27:The location is really nice and quiet, all the facilities including the restaurant are very good looking. I suggest to have dinner more than once there for tasting great local food (especially the steak) that is worth well the money. It is a 2-minute long walk to Agerola downcenter where one can get easily on a bus to the amazing coast. In few words, if around there, don't miss it, I would be back.
Review 28:- Nasty owner (husband who was the only one we saw or interacted with). - Openly hostile after we chose not to eat the first night at the restaurant and would provide no information as to what dinning options were available in town or even how to walk there. - On arrival nobody was there for check in. Once someone showed up ALL we were told was 'Camera upstairs'. - Cake and jam (lovely home made one) was the only option for breakfast (no cereal, no savoury) and you even get a dirty look from the owner for asking for an extra butter. - When asking for a knife and fork one night the comment we got was 'Oh, so you're also not eating at the restaurant tonight' (in Italian). - Nasty look when asking for toilet paper. - No wifi in room. Lots of Agriturismo option in Agerola, would NEVER recommend La Baita unless the owner (husband) changed or (probably) if you are Italian and willing to dine there every night.
Review 29:- Lovely room with a great balcony view. - Good comfortable bed. - Reasonably priced. - Bathroom was good.
Review 30:The distance from Amalfi, the first beach close to the hostel is a little bit far, around 40 min by car or by bus.
Review 31:the breakfast was amazing homemade ricotta and bread. The views from the balcony were very beautiful.
Review 32:If you are not an Italian driver, the road up to la Baita can be hard.. You'll get used to it!
Review 33:If you like to stay somewhere peacefull this is the place. Going to the beach is hard because of the busy and narrow roads. Amalfi and positano are really touristic! We stayed at la baita to relax, made a small hike in the area and were able to read a book! The hosts are really sweet and the food was good.
Review 34:Perfect place to relax - wonderful views, clean, cozy rooms, warm owners and the BEST FOOD as I tried in Italy! Thank you for the wonderful time and delicious food once again ;)
Review 35:Very nice and cosy place. Highly recommended...
Review 36:beautiful views over the amalfi and excellent home produced food on site. Very friendly family hosts.
Review 37:Las vistas , el personal y las instalaciones . What a wonderful place!!!
Review 38:All the cake for breakfast. Better to keep the breakfast simple.
Review 39:The view from the balcony
Review 40:Everything is perfect. Beutifull place!
Review 41:The road to get there from the coast is very bad, it takes about 50 minutes from Amalfi
Review 42:It´s a nice and comfortable place.
Review 43:The owner is very friendly!! This agriturismo is a perfect place to spend some days. Good atmosphere.
Review 44:Nice cosy room, beautiful balcony, very clean. Kind host. Nice little zoo - little pigs, chickens, peacock, gooses, kittens, etc.
Review 45:Great atmosphere on a farm, near lots of things to see, and with great food!
Review 46:the view was great, it was quiet. If you had to leave earlier, the owner was willing to make you breakfast earlier
Review 47:only house vine available
Review 48:highly recommaded to have car to access to the location
Review 49:We couldn't sleep all night, because of barking dogs and other sounds of animals, typical italian breakfast (was ok for me but for most can be too small - few jams (delicious),coffee and two small pieces of cake. Place looks really nic, but because of all sounds around we just couldn't relax. We changed the room which was nice to something really not nice what smelled with mustiness and some people were family was running till late night over our apart. Together the place is really nice, but because of all sounds and than the apart we had to change, I would not come again. Last thing owners don't speak English at all.
Review 50:Very friendly owners, nice village, delicius dinner.
Review 51:Rooms are very clean, very comfy, more than you may expect from a country side bed&breakfast, everything is perfectly organized in the garden and its environment, a beautiful mountain/village view from the balconies. Home made food is amazing. Compliments to lovely owners.
Review 52:It's not easy to communicate with them, because they don't speak english that well as they say on the website, but we managed it, and had a lot of fun.
Review 53:The owners are really friendly and gave us the feeling of being special. We were also suprised by the cost/quality of the dinner. We regret that we once have eaten somewhere else. Stunning view from the house and quite easy to travel to nearby site(&sight) seeings.
Review 54:Hard to get there. One has to cross a steep alley to get there. I managed to scratch the car we rent because of unusual roads.
Review 55:Lovely place. Superb sight!
Review 56:We found the room to be cold early in the evening as the heating was off during the day. The restaurant was also cold at breakfast and at dinner which was uncomfortable as we had colds when we arrived. It is quite out of the way, a decent drive from the coast itself. While breakfast tasted good, it was basically just biscuits and cake. Despite these, I would still recommend this place to anyone who was willing to stay a bit out of the way.
Review 57:The hosts were excellent. We ate dinner there each night (€25 pp, 4 courses including drinks) which was delicious. The room was well set up. It was lovely and quiet too. Being out of town was a nice change with lots of animals around (especially the strange talking bird!).
Review 58:nothing negative
Review 59:the view was great the owners are very friendly the room was very nice (with a good shower)
Review 60:Nothing
Review 61:The views, the lovely rooms (and powerful shower!) the homemade food and the kind, friendly hosts made for a wonderful stay.
Review 62:The food is excellent. Do not miss to take dinner there!
Review 63:Absolutely amazing view. Room was clean and with comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and house wine :)
