Review 1：The bed was not enough comfortable for me. I could not sleep well. From a 4-stared hotel I was waiting more: a perfectly comfortable bed.

Review 2：The wellness department was very good and clean. We used it every day with pleasure.

Review 3：Maybe it is Hungary. We stayed at three hotels on our trip and none of the staff were particularly service minded. However, nobody was actually rude here and tried to help a bit.

Review 4：This hotel was fine for the purpose and I'd be happy to use it again. Like the whole of Heviz, the initial impression wasn't promising but there are little surprises to be had. Having egg and bacon cooked especially for you is always a pleasant surprise and the size of the room was good too.

Review 5：My husband got food poisoning from the buffet the night we were there. Front desk staff allowed us to stay a couple of hours past check out time,which we appreciated. We do not like buffets and did not know that was the only option for dinner until we got there. We did not eat breakfast there, I did not want to get sick as well.

Review 6：Staff were somewhat helpful but we were surprised that they were not interested to know how my husband was or concerned that anyone else at the hotel may have been effected with food poisoning.

Review 7：A warning if you are driving a bigger car - most parking spots in the underground lot are small. Parking a mid-size SUV was challenging. Getting into the car was equally so because I had to crawl in through the passenger side door, as the driver door was blocked by another parked car.

Review 8：Excellent hotel close to everything. Rooms are large, clean, and air conditioned and the breakfast and buffet dinner are reasonably good. The staff is helpful, efficient, and speaks English.

Review 9：Fitness room not open, is being renovated. Older staff, especially one friendly to guests with money. Being from Ireland/Switzerland And only speaking English/Swiss/German/French and my fiancée Hungarian I kindly asked for jug of water with lemon on last dinner day like the day before. This time it's a no with bad words like you come here and don't spend money. Truth is I saved 6 months forints for this trip. Instead a limonade for 750 ft was served. Everything was perfect until this moment. Still undecided if ever choosing this hotel again. One staff and one minute can spoil a 4 night stay.

Review 41：The Palace Hotel are liars and cheats, and seemingly strongly anti-American. We were promised one rate -- which we confirmed verbally atthe front desk, then our credit card was charged over twice as much aswe were quoted. We were also charged for dinner which we did not eat!Upon checkout, we were advised it came with the room, and we had to paywhether we ate it or not. Never mind the "receptionist" neverinformed us of this beforehand. When we asked to speak to the manager,the "receptionist" told us there was no one available and thatthere was nothing she could do since "It's in the computeralready."If you enjoy comfort and quiet in a hotel, then you should know that the beds are rock hard and if your room is on the Erszbet St. side, brace yourself for a service delivery and garbage truck wake up call at 7am every morning. Also, be forewarned, their website AND lobby marquis directly behind the reception desk boast of "Free Wi-Fi in every room". HOWEVER, when you try and use internet in your room and are unable, and then inquire why it's not working, you're told "It only reaches to certain rooms. You can sit here in the lobby." I literally turned the young lady around and pointed to their "Wi-Fi" sign...and she simply shrugged her shoulders and giggled. Staying at Palace Hotel was the absolute WORST decision we made on our trip. Panorama and Europa looked much much better and we'd wished we'd only booked there. Our miserable two night stay that we were quoted for a TOTAL of $150 eu ended up costing $350 eu!!! AVOID!! AVOID!! AVOID!!....

Review 50：Hotel staff don`t know what does it mean 4* hotel at all. We have waited cca 1 hour to check in (at reception desk was only 1 family in front of us), we didn`t have parking place although we reserved it (at check out they tried to charge us for parking!) we had to go to some other parking area, no towels in the room - we didn`t get it even after asking for them, nobody speaks english....plus a lot of small quite bad details....honestly I would be suprised when somebody will book this hotel! I think 3* would be really enough

Review 52：The parking place is under the hotel and the parking spaces are very very tiny. I drive an Opel Corsa, which is a small car and I had trouble to park it.

Some rooms with balconies on street side - noisy in a morning.No kettle, plates or cutlery in the room (even if there is kitchenfacility).
