Review 1：The location - i e not near a fabulous beach - is the only thing against it. Although there are mini markets + bakery and several good places to eat, Lygia is very small.. On the other hand, you can catch buses to Lefkada Town which is only about 10 minutes away - or get a taxi (Tasia will call you one) and there's plenty to see and do there...a delightful town.We also got buses to the south of the island where there are beautiful views and interesting towns to visit. As it was out of season, the buses were not always very..umm..regular, so we'd probably hire a car next time to get to explore places on the island further away .

Review 2：We loved everything about this beautiful and peaceful place! Tasia, who speaks excellent English is SO friendly, helpful and welcoming - we arrived unexpectedly early and were instantly made at home with coffee and home-made pastries. In our delightful room there was a lovely welcome pack including everything we needed,+ fresh flowers on the table and a hand-written welcome note. On day 2 Tasia offered us an even better apartment on the first floor with a good view over the pool. The apartments are spotless and are cleaned + beds changed daily. The gardens are full of lovely flowers and shrubs, the pool is gorgeous and there are artistic touches everywhere - sculptures in stone and wood, mobiles made of shells etc The location is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. The personal touches and generosity from Tasia - like little plates of homemade cakes which would mysteriously appear on the balcony - and her attention to detail - nothing was too much trouble - make this a very special place to stay!

Review 7：Nothing bad to say about this. The only thing that we missed was an oven in the kitchen, because you can't really cook with microwaves and an electric stove.

Review 8：It was a really relaxing holiday, especially at this hotel. The host and the staff were really friendly and helpful during our stay. The position is good because it's in a quiet place, but pretty far from the great beaches of the peninsula..so you will need a car or something similar. I will definitely go back to this place if I ever return to Lefkada.

Review 10：This is an apartment hotel the feels like a hotel (in a good sense). The owner is a extremely friendly, energized, kind and helpful lady (I cannot spell her name, sorry). The owner was always around, attentive and ready to help with any little thing. We were received with a very (very!!!!) warm welcome. The swimming pool is the best one we have seen in Greece, and we have been traveling for 2 weeks. The pool is very clean. Next to the pool there is a little bar, so you can always order a drink or a snack (or a morning espresso). The girl working at the bar is also very helpful, she informed us of a festival in the town (without us even asking) and then informed us when the festival was postponed in a day. The apartment itself is beautifully designed and is comfortable. The kitchen includes everything you need for a meal. The apartment is not on the sea-front, but is 1 minute walking to the sea shore. This is actually a plus since we had more privacy than the hotels we saw directly on the beach (we could actually peek into the rooms, no privacy there). The sea-front is beautiful.

Prices for mid june were very good, the weather was fantastic and there was not many people arround so all decision we made were the best for this trip.

Review 28：we had a lovely big appartment, with a nice pool view. The pool is big with not many people around. The hotel is very clean, with nice environment, lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Even there you can see the family atmosphere. It combines the hospitality with all that privacy that villas offer you. Great staff! There are bikes you can use to get around the area. The bakery is just a 3-minute walk, mini supermaket is 2-minute walk, and the city centre is less than 5 minutes by car. It is really a value for money hotel. I would definitely recommend it!!

Review 29：Amazing place, excellent hospitality, the apartment was very comfortable and clean. Mrs Tassia was very helpful and polite and made us feel like she was a part of the family. The hotel Is located in a very quiet area, very closed to the sea and everything you need (bakery, market, taverns) is in the close surroundings! Its location is the best point to stay in Lefkada, closed to Lefkada city and to the villages and beaches. The pool was very well maintained surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas, our kids wanted to swim and play there all day. Air conditioning, mosquito nets and free Wi-Fi were also available in all rooms. I recommend this location 100%.

Review 34：I really don't where should I start with things that I liked with Alkyon. Facilities are greatly designed and joined in ensemble that is perfect for your holiday. Rooms are very clean and comfort with all little thing included that you might need. Houses with apartments are divided by plants that are treated with great care. Everything in this hotel deserves higher grades. Last but not least, hospitality of owner is story for itself. I had a feeling that I am spending my summer with a family and they are trying to please me in every way they can. This is something that you will find on just small number of special places.

Review 35：I would say nothing apart from the fact that it is far away by car from the nicest beaches. But it is not far away from Lefkada town and there are many things around joignable on foot (good bakery, mini market, restaurants...).

Review 36：We liked the hospitality, the welcome gifts (honey, homemade marmelade, wine...), the advices of the hostess for visiting the island that were great. Having the breakfast alone on our terrasse, the possibility to go on foot to a good restaurant by the water, have the possibility to do running around, to feel safe and calm, have a swim in the clean pool... Comfortable, clean and nice place for a good price!

There was also a complimentary bottle of wine and greek biscuits in the room. She makes an awesome jam which we got to taste as a jar was in the fridge waiting! Rooms were cleaned daily and there were always fresh towels. Overall this is a modern, up to date complex with not too many rooms. Pool area is beautiful as are the gardens and you do feel like its luxury for a decent price.

Situated in a small peacuful village it is a perfect starting point for visiting Lefkada and a place to which you come back with great pleasure for an afternoon swim in a very well maintained swimming pool surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. And beautiful plants, of course! If you add excellent atmosphere created by Anastasia - the most wonderful hotel owner we have ever met - and her staff taking care to ensure that everything is impeccably clean and orderly, things are even better. We spent 14 days in that hotel and if we return to Lefkada we will certainly visit it again. And we will recommend it to all our friends going in that direction. First, we were greeted by the owner as if we were her own family. She prepared some sweet local treats both at the reception and in our room. She was always smiling and attentive and provided us with lots of useful information and guidelines about what is worth seeing in Lefkada and recommended some really good local tavernas. She speaks very good English so it was easy to communicate. The rooms were nicely arranged, cleaned every day. Our room had two balconies, a bedroom with a double bed, a main room with two beds, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. Of course air conditioning, mosquito nets and free Wi-Fi were also available in all rooms. The towels were changed every day and the bed sheets every two days. It should also be added that the standard of Alkyon hotel did not differ at all from a 4-star hotel we visited in Crete some time ago. I would say it was even better in Alkyon and the service was 5 ... no! 6 stars!!! We haven't faced a single problem during the entire stay. This is a 200% recommendation from us!!!

Review 43：Very nice owner, nothing is too much. We had a villa, which was very spacious and spotless clean. Good pool, with good sunbeds. The hotel lays on a small road, no traffic, and the small beach (rocks) is just 150 meters away. Also walking distance to a nice restaurant on the beach. Very relaxed stay!

Review 66：We have spent two weeks at Alkyon hotel - if you are looking for a small honeymoon hotel in a quiet place, this is IT! Very friendly staff and the hotel itself is very couzy and charming. Our room with a spacios balcony had everything you could possibly need - a small kitchen area, fridge, coffee machine, toaster etc., bathroom with a shower. By the pool we enjoyed the view at a small garden area full of flowers and herbs. And to relax even more you can get yourself a nice drink at the poolbar. Alkyon is by our opinion one of the best hotels you can find. Cleaning and service is perfect, and the owner Tasia is a one of the warmest and helpfull people we know. Thank you Tasia! Review 69：It has been one of the most beautiful vacations for us. We stayed at Alkyon 7 nights and this has been our honeymoon. The host is a very special person, very kind and always available. Knowing that we were going there in our honeymoon, she expected us with cookies, wine, balloons and flowers. She also gave us the finest apartment even made sure that we are not missing anything. Review 83：beautiful and cozy apartment hotel at very reasonable price. rooms, garden, pool area, charming bar... everything around is clean, quiet, perfectly maintained and managed by tassia - the owner with an eye, hand and heart for every single detail in her hotel. lygia is 5mins drive from lefkada town. note that beautiful beaches on the western side of lefkada island are 15 - 45 mins drive. and if that matters it is the case, more or less, wherever you stay on the island. safe car rent is possible @ the hotel, there's free use of bikes to go to bakery, shops or some of many nearby tavernas and restaurants. so alkyon is highly recommendable, we'd love to come back again next year or in the near future.

Review 84：First and foremost, this is the place where we were feeling at home. Hospitality and kindness of the owner is unique and refreshing. Swimming pool is really great, both for kids and adults alike, while villa cleanliness and comfort is perfect.

Review 89：We arrived with intentions of only staying three days, but loved the area and the hotel so much that we stayed an additional three days. The owner is the mist friendly & caring person we met in Greece. She was very accommodating with all of our last minute requests. We rented a car for two days, right from the hotel, to your the island, but the other four days we just borrowed the bikes & rode into Lefkada town or took the bys to Nidri. I hope to come back someday! This was our favorite part of our entire Greece vacation.

Review 90：When we first arrived at Alkyon Apartments we were welcomed with open arms from the host Tasia. We were the first guests for the season so she was really excited to have us there. The apartments were really nice and had everything you need. Tasia had bought us some fresh bread from the bakery and gave us her homemade marmalade too. She was able to organise a car for us and we also borrowed her bikes to ride into town. The place is very quiet and you do need a car to get around the island, especially to the nice sandy beaches on the west coast. But there are some restaurants in Lygia and mini marts and Lefkada town in only 5km away.

Review 92：Before I even arrived, I got a call from the Hotel asking me to confirm arrival times. Once we arrived, we were welcomed very warmly. The hotel is not a bank of rooms, but a cluster of apartment like dwellings around the central pool area. The water was so clean, birds were flying down and drinking from it. So were some cats! Our suite could hold four people easily - small kitchenette included. Nice balconies. Loaner bikes on site for a leisurely ride to the closest beach or bakery down the street. Close enough to Leukada town, but far enough so at night it was quiet and peacefull. Overall a great experience.

The people are very welcoming, the rooms (apartments) are clean and well organized. A bakery and a supermarket are at 5 minutes by foot, so it is very useful. A very good restaurant is located at 10 minutes by foot on the sea front.

Review 95：We loved our stay! The owner was so gracious and hospitable. The location of the hotel was ideal for us. We liked that it was in a quiet location but a quick drive to the busier towns. The children loved the pool and the outdoor gardens were beautiful. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was perfect for a family of four. Again, the owner went out of her way by leaving a few treats and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. All in all, we were very pleased and would book again if we were to revisit!

Review 96：To stay in Alkyon Hotel is a real pleasure and perfect for complete resting holidays with family. (we stayed a week before taking doing a boat trip) The host, Tassia, is a super woman who is always smiling and at your disposal with kind words and help/support. Its a exellent and safe place to stay with kids and there are some bikes at disposal for going to the excellent backery or riding near the beach (only 100m from the hotel). If you need a car, her husband Georges, can help you to have a good and safe car (he is renting cars). We recommend to hire a care to visit the beautiful beaches at the west coast A mini market is near and some nice restaurants right (200-300m) on the beach with tables on the beach. The local fishers bring their fish to the restaurants The wifi is good and if you balcony is giving view to the swimming pool, you can use wifi from the balcony. Otherwise there is a little nice bar to use your tablet/laptop The rooms are clean and cleaned every day. Basic kitchen and furniture is present to have agreable stay. We had also air conditioning in the room. The beds are ok The swimming pool is nice and well regular cleaned. Near the swimming pool is a little bar where you an have some coffee, drinks or ice cream for the kids. Lefkas town is 10€ taxi or 10min by car or you can take the bikes and is recommended for a visit. For joggers, there is a nice run on the beach (ask Tassia) to the left of the beach and back (5km) or further to the port and back (9km) Again, Tassia and her family are so nice that it gives an extra sunshine to the hotel.
