Reviews for Georgia Vicky Studios & Apartments
Review 1:Lovely position by the sea . beautiful sunsets, set in the countryside quiet, lovely welcoming owner, responded to my request for a view, welcome basket wine and toiletries even though I only stayed two nights ! You need a car or be happy to ring for Taxis to get around, distance to Stavros is walkable but its quite a bit of a distance, Thankyou for a lovely stay !
Review 2:We had wonderful weather, which was a bonus, but our apartment was really just what we wanted it to be !!! Spacious, 2 balconies, linen changed every other day, and a lovely welcome basket with a bottle of wine !!
Review 3:Warm welcome, very nice and clean room with a view. Nice pool. Breakfast was not included in our booking but we received some basics anyway plus a present on the house. Cretan hospitality is the best!
Review 4:Nothing.
Review 5:Excellent hotel in a stunning location-Big, clean comfortable rooms with nice size balconies. Huge pool with lots of sun loungers. Very nice management. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 6:the location is nice , the pool is lovely, a lot of space. we had a small problem in the kitchen's oven and they fixed it realy quickly very good place for familey with little kids
Review 7:The wonderful position, the sea water swimming pool, the kindness of the owners. Some little details like making you find the essential things for breakfast even if it wasn't expected and the changing of linen every second day.
Review 8:A car is needed to get to the shops and restaurants in Stavros. (There is a good beachside restaurant about 20 minutes' walk away, but only one.)
Review 9:Beautiful location overlooking the sea, with perfect views of the sunset. Pool area for the kids, and the complex was small enough that we felt happy letting the kids explore the area. Snorkelling in the bay. Perfect relaxation. The beach at Stavros is also excellent.
Review 10:Family that owned the apartments were very friendly and helpful. Apartment very clean and spacious. Very relaxed feel at the apartments. Quiet. Lovely view of the sea. Loved the salt water pool.
Review 11:I had to pay for the cancellation of reservation which I have made 4 days before, due to the illness of a member of our group but it is the policy of the hotel, I agree with . It happens sometimes;)
Review 12:Everything ok. as usual! Lovely and cozy place in real Cretian countryside! Thank you Manolis and your staff! We will be back !
Review 13:Wonderfull place! Would go again. Manolis is so friendly and helpfull. Also he always set on fire the grill when asked. Place is kept very well, also appartement was clean and nice. And the pool with seawater is great. Lovely flowers all over. The wiew to the ocean is superb!! The whole family Loved that week there :) Thank You Manolis!
Review 14:Wifi not so good in our apartment but fine around the pool area. Not many tavernas in the immediate area but those we found were very nice
Review 15:The sunsets were stunning. Very quiet area. Manolis offer of Greek coffee very welcoming.wine jams etc., in the apartment on arrival and fluffy white towels changed every 2 days as well as bedsheets. I would recommend these lovely apartments and would definitely come back!
Review 16:- No hot water on the second night which was annoying after a day at the beach - Cleaning is only every two days - No towels available for the pool
Review 17:The pool was nice and we had it pretty much to ourselves. The view from the room balcony overlooking the sea with flowers in front was beautiful
Review 18:Great apartment with beautiful sea view, very friendly staff , very good cleaning service, nice swimming pool about 15 min walk to markets and stavros beach, car definitely needed if you with a kid
Review 19:The location was a bit far from restaurants etc. Definitely worth having a car, or you'd pay a fortune on taxis!
Review 20:The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The staff were very easy to deal with, and prompt with checking us in. They provided some wine and snacks upon our arrival which was very appreciated! The pool was lovely and clean, and there were plenty of sunbeds. The wifi was free though it was a bit patchy at times- it still worked. We really enjoyed our stay and I'd certainly recommend it.
Review 21:Great hospitality from Manolis, the owner. The totally unbelievable sea view from the balcony. The sunset. Very well maintained place, very clean. The place is even better than on the photos. I will come back. Thank you, Manolis!
Review 22:Overall attention to detail. Upgrade, bottle of wine, bottle of water and juice even strawberries in the fridge how can you top that for a standard room
Review 23:We would love it if there were screens on the windows. Pool water is always so cold but it is the same all over Greece, so it is no different here. It doesn't stop me from wishing it were heated, though, because I love to spend time in the pool.
Review 24:What a great place to stay. We have stayed in the area before at different places but this was superior. The view of the sea is superb. The room had everything we needed including a coffee maker. Yay! There was a bottle of wine waiting for us, it was clean and very roomy. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The owner was so polite and caring. We would not hesitate to recommend this place.
Review 25:Bath size. To small, sitting.
Review 26:Hospitality of owners... Mr. Manolis and his daughter Georgia are very kind and helpful. housekeeper Maria is very kind and ready to help with all the things with a room. Will return here again!
Review 27:Would want it to be within driving distance from Europe, to visit it frequently :)
Review 28:The cleanest beds and toilets for all of our stay on Crete The hosts welcomed us late in the evening with a tea, a nice warm chat and a welcome basket that included a home wine and had a good bye Greek coffee with us The area is very quiet, has a nice sea view, garden, pool
Review 29:Children's playground in need of repair.
Review 30:The place is very beautiful, very well maintained garden. Swimming pool extremely clean and big. A naturally beautiful place.Unforgettable sound of the waves at the terrace. Owners friendly.Very good connection to the city and the airport. We highly recommend.
Review 31:Jet fighters from NATO airbase make some noise. Wi-Fi signal is weak - if you're an online addict you'll get frustrated.
Review 32:If you're looking for a quiet place with good views from the room, then it's for you. Having a breakfast on a balcony with a broad sea view is really excellent
Review 33:Everything was perfect! I really didn't like Irene restaurant near by. It is a tourist trap. The food was horrible!
Review 34:From the time I stepped inside the property I felt welcome. Rooms were very clean and spacious. There are beautiful beaches around the property. Clean pool is also available. Will be back next year! :) Thank you!
Review 35:It is necessary to have a car if you want to move around a little bit. Other than that, great place.
Review 36:We really enjoyed our 3 days stay here, it is a pity we did not have more time to spend. The apartments for two persons are large with a comfortable bed in a sleeping room and another living room with two small beds, kitchen, etc. Both rooms have a terrace outside with nice sea views (the sea is around 150-200 m away) The swimming pool is large and deep (3 m) and you can even jump from a springboard! There were also some toys for children around the pool. Last but not least, the staff is very charming and helpful. Manolis, the owner, helped us get a good deal for a rental car the morning after our arrival. Thanks for that! :-) It is around 20 min drive from Chania and another 20 mins from an extraordinary beach: Seitan Limania.
Review 37:Hard mattresses The shower curtain that sticks to your body while showering
Review 38:Really nice views, very nice swimming pool with salt water and charming apartment. Warm welcome with a lemonade by the nice owner.
Review 39:Everything was better than we expected from a 3/4-star accommodation. If one wanted to be critical, one would mention slow Internet and shower courtain that leaks (after shower the bathroom is in water) but these not real problems. GV offers excellect value for money and is one of the best places we ever went to. It's a place to return to for the beatiful scents and sights of Crete. The place has unforgettable scent of the sea, warm earth, plants, herbs and trees.
Review 40:Everything: the location away from crowds of tourists; peace and quiet (one may sleep with all windows open because it is quiet around); the big and clean swimming pool (water is changed once a week and the pool is thoroughly washed!); beds and umbrellas by the pool for free; warm showers; beautiful garden; comfortable rooms; kind and helpful owners; possibility to rent a car; great sea views from all apartments. This is definitely a place to recommend to anyone who appreciates holidays away from crowds. The description of GV in bookingcom is accurate and the photos do not belie (beautify) reality. Perhaps before going there one should study satellite maps to know that “proper” beaches are within a walking distance of 10 min; restaurants and shops are about 1,5 km away. But there is access to the sea near GV (a ladder from rocks). GV is near the airport (about 10 km) but there is no noise of airplanes. Bicycles are awailable for free at GV but a car is useful especially if one wants to do some sightseeing. We went to Knossos, Chania and several beaches, of which Elafonisi, Loutre and Falasarna were most beautiful.
Review 41:The hotel has a very cozy atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and make you feel at home. There is a place where you can grill and make your own food. The view from the rooms is amazing. Definitely a great choice!
Review 42:We stayed too little.
Review 43:The best location ever, with an amazing view over the sea and the garden, Manolis and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back.
Review 44:A little secluded but this is not always a bad thing. Possibly some additional utensils in the kitchen would be handy, but these are really minor issues with a wonderful place. Stavros was quiet in the evenings.
Review 45:Fantastic view from no.2 apartment, owners fabulous, a little slice of heaven. The pool is clean and beautiful and a dip in the sea off the jetty (unless the waves are up) will rejuvenate the spirit. Really, really a great place to stay. Visit Sunset on the "other" beach in stavros for an evening meal, you will not be disappointed. Aircon works well and is included in the price, otherwise, open the windows and let the sea breeze in. Loved it!
Review 46:I loved this place! A few minutes from here, you can visit a lot of beaches, some monasteries and you can find also very good tavernas. It can be a starting point to visit all the district of Chania. It's the ideal place to relax, it has a beautiful swimingpool, and the landscape is simply wonderful. above all the staff is great!
Review 47:nothing
Review 48:The sea view was just amazing, especially at the sunset. Very quiet, lovely pool, relaxing. Although there is not a beach right there, you can have a swim in the sea, there is access without difficulties, if the sea is not rough. The owners and staff are really friendly, the rooms are cleaned every other day, the garden is just beautiful. It's far from the crowds, but close enough to some shops, a nice restaurant and withing a short drive to Chania with all the lively atmosphere. We loved it there. We also appreciated that although we had to check in after midnight because of our flight, it was no problem, and we could also stay in our apartment till three o'clock, which was really convenient. Fifteen- minute drive from the airport.
Review 49:We loved the peace and quiet , the cleanliness . Everything was provided, things that you usually forget like bottle openers, corkscrews, there was even a coffee machine , excellent . The apartment seemed to get cleaned every day, but you never noticed the staff, there was no knocking on doors and waking you up, discreet. As has been said, the owner Manolas and his daughters were readily available if you needed anything, but again very discreet. The views from our apartment were terrific, just a big sea and nothing else. If in the area again, we would not think twice about staying here.
Review 50:Do not go to Stavros if you want exciting night life, gourmet dining experiences, or shops selling souvenirs for tourists. Once every few days you hear fighter jets.
Review 51:This is the third year we have stayed at this apartment complex so that shows how much we like it. Manolis, Georgia, and Vicky are extremely helpful. The staff work hard to keep the gardens looking beautiful and the rooms clean. Our apartment was thoughtfully designed so that we looked out onto the sea without being aware of our neighbours. The apartment was well-provided with everything you need for self-catering. The salt water swimming pool is great and regularly maintained. Also, it is really convenient for Chania airport, without being disturbed by passenger jets.
Review 52:A little apartment hotel with a very good location. All the rooms have view over the sea. The owner and daughter and staff are very nice - and offers a very good service. we like that it is a bit away from everything
Review 53:Transport is necessary to access local beach. While the beach is beautiful in Stavros the town is disappointing with no nightlife and only a few tavernas that were mostly empty.
Review 54:Beautiful apartment and beautiful views a great place for those looking for peaceful relaxation and a bit of tranquility.
Review 55:Poor wifi in our room, ants in the kitchen, sometimes problem with water temperature
Review 56:Perfect location with a car you can drive every place, perfect swimming pool for everyone, beautiful sunset, comfortable rooms, nice territory, 2 beaches around
Review 57:Beutiful and clean swimming pool - great for small children and adults. Airy and comfortable rooms with sunset and see view. Safety and quiet place for small children. I definitely recommend this place!
Review 58:If you like to surf the web rather than the sea :) , the WiFi is a bit problematic. Not too slow but very often disconnects during the day, relatively stable at night. Pay attention to the signs on the roads, it's a bit hard to find the place. The shower was a bit narrow, but that's not a big deal. I don't think there is a real "minus" in the place. :)
Review 59:We really enjoyed our time there. Very beautiful place, with all the comforts a traveler needs. The apartment is well-equipped (A/C, fridge, satellite TV, iron, etc), the view is breathtaking, and the staff more than friendly. The swimming pool is excellent. The parking is spacious. I will definitely stay there again in the future and I fully recommend it to everyone.
Review 60:A beautiful and comfortable place. Attentive administrator. Excellent staff. Clean and tidy. It is possible to dive in the sea.
Review 61:we all felt calm and relaxed
Review 62:The location and the fantastic welcome and continued warmth and generosity of the owners throughout our stay
Review 63:Spacious rooms, nice view, clean pool
Review 64:Location made for a very relaxing stay
Review 65:we love evrything.
Review 66:We love the host Mr Manouli.
Review 67:salt water in the pool.
Review 68:everything was really perfect
Review 69:Nothing
Review 70:The view. The place. The owner. Everything was perfekt.
Review 71:pool view from bedroom window location and proximity to airport
Review 72:Fantastic location (away from the crowds) and beautiful view. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Pool is large and clean!
Review 73:Wifi a bit Scetchy.
Review 74:Good Apartment in Magnificent gardens amidst dramatic landscape.Great Sea views.Close to the airport but well sound proofed.
Review 75:View from the terrace Cleanliness of rooms, pool Peaceful surroundings
Review 76:not close to the beach no hot shower after 8:00 pm
Review 77:- clean - very large room - good wifi signal - the pool was clean and big enough
Review 78:Bathroom facilities very poor. Wifi very poor.
Review 79:Beautiful view. Peaceful. Apart from bathroom, very nice room.
Review 80:Low Wi-Fi signal
Review 81:Perfect view, quiet place, friendly staff, clean rooms and good price.
Review 82:Very large comfortable rooms, nice pool, great views of the sea, well-run by its genial owner Manolis. Can't recommend this place highly enough; great value for money.
Review 83:Although the wifi signal in the complex was pretty good, in the apartment I had, it was very sporadic.
Review 84:The owner Manolis and his family are lovely people and most helpful. The location of Georgia-Vicky in Stavros at the top of the Akrotiri peninsula was ideal with good proximity to Chania without being too close. Although dubious at first about a seawater pool, I would now prefer it to a chlorinated water pool. The apartment was cleaned regularly and the grounds were lovely. Also ideally situated for a beautiful sunset every evening.
Review 85:Pool side loud music, glass bottles, topless sunbathing all allowed
Review 86:Large pool, comfortable room, mature gardens, good view from balcony, helpful staff
Review 87:The mattresses are not very comfortable.
Review 88:Beautiful location and surroundings, great sea side view at sun set, large swimming pool, large appartment, very friendly owner, bottle of wine and Korres products as welcome gift, we had a wonderful stay!
Review 89:Peaceful and quiet location, spacious clean apartment with fully equipped kitchen, warm and welcoming owner, who met us with wine, juice, water, cretan flowers tea and continental breakfast. The swimming pool is big and clean, great playing ground for kids. I definitely recommend this place!
Review 90:If I had to pick something it would be the disrance to Chania its 11klm from Chania the beaches, minimarket and tavern is about 10-15mins walk. This is what we wanted total R and R
Review 91:Peace and quiet terrific views and a fantastic host Manolis who welcomed us with bottle water, juice and a bottle of his home made wine which was nice. Manolis is very dedicated his cleaning staff are also wonderful. The views are magic and is away from the hussle and bussle of Chania. There is a tavern and beaches but is a little walk away there is a bus into Chania 4 times a day which is handy. If you want romance and total relaxation thus is the place for you there is also a huge pool.
Review 92:Speaking froma Solo Traveller... The apartment was amazing. Upon arrival i recieved a bottle of wine and a thank you for staying but previous to that i recieved emails from the apartment about where to visit and some nice beaches and restaurants. My stay was absolutely perfect and i have no negative things to say about it
Review 93:We found nothing not to like.
Review 94:This small complex of studios and apartments is set in mature grounds which are by far the most attractive of all those we saw in the area. Manolis, the owner, is the perfect host: friendly and welcoming, always available and helpful when you have a question. He also makes very good wine. Our studio - no. 19 - was spotlessly clean when we arrived and kept so throughout our stay (our great thanks to Maia and Natia, Manolis's Georgian staff). The pool is sea water, is kept fresh and clean and has a shallow area safe for small kids and a large area of 3m depth which is great for large kids. A car is essential: there are a couple of pleasant beaches nearby, but unless you're happy just to laze on the beach or balcony and use the local bus to get to Chania, you need wheels to get the most out of a holiday here.
Review 95:We booked a one night stopover as we were arriving on a late flight and wished we were staying longer. Very friendly and welcoming both in person and in terms of the water, juice and wine waiting for us in our apartment. 3 of us shared a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a lovely balcony with a sea view framed by flowers. Great salt water pool as well.
Review 96:great place, the owner and the staff are very polite and trying their best. the facilities are good. it's very important to rent a car if planning on traveling. children friendly,
Review 97:The owner is very friendly, the accomodation is cute, the location is convenient (close by Chania). The pool is nice and Stavros bay is a beautiful place to visit. There are more great places in the area where you can swim in the coral blue water. It 's good to have a car to travel around. We only stayed 4 nights but we 'd like to go back. The price is correct!
Review 98:There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.
Review 99:We liked everything!!! Our maisonette overlooked the sea. We left theshutters open on the terrace and each morning we were greeted by theMediterranean breeze and sunshine. The two bedroom maisonette wasspotless, very comfortable, spacious, well stocked and well appointed. We were welcomed with a basket of Cretan products including mountainteas, honey as well as coffee, cream, sugar, toast and jams. We arrivedvery late by plane and a note at the office was left for us with detailson our apartment. The next day, Mr. Manolis, the owner met with us andtreated us to the best Greek coffee. When we later asked about where intown we could do our laundry, Maria the cleaning lady kindly offered todo it for us. The apartments were cleaned from top to bottom every otherday. Linen was changed each day. The level of cleanliness and comfort, coupled with the absolute beauty of the residence and the stunninglybeautiful seaside and mountain view, make this a place that we willreturn again and again and also recommend to family and friends. Thepool was huge and the grounds were well maintained with aromaticfoliage. Stavros beach was just a short drive away as were restaurantsand supermarkets. This really is the best kept secret in Crete and agood starting point to see some of the best beaches on the northwestside. The best part of this stay was that it was relaxing. We didn'tconstantly hear the sound of revellers and motorcycles that is common inother parts of Crete. This truly was a slice of heaven off the beatenpath, yet close enough to Chania if you are looking for the nightlife.
Review 100:Nothing, as we were not looking for beautiful old buildings or nightlife.
Review 101:We liked the beautiful and peaceful setting with uninterrupted views of the sea, the sizes of the rooms, the good size swimming pool, and above all the very kind and helpful owner, Manolis, his family, and staff. We walked everywhere -beaches, restaurants, and minimarkets. Everyone friendly. On the west coast so good for sunsets. Sea very warm and good for snorkelling as well as bathing.
Review 102:Exellent! The best place on the island! I can compare , becouse I ve' been in Greece several times! This is the right place for Crete lovers! Thank you Manolis and your dauther and all family!
Review 103:What a wonderful holidays!!! No commercial environments, no noisypeople, unforgetable sunset every day, very friendly owner Mr.Manolis, and his dauther! I've been in Greece many times, but Georgia Vickysis the best place there ever! I will be back asap! This is a CreteI've heard of!!!
Review 104:Nothing, all fantastic
Review 105:Our apartment (1 bedroom) was fantastic with two balconies, one with a beautiful view on the sea. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The complex itself is located directly near the sea and surrounded by a beautiful garden with nice smelling flowers, trees and cacti. Manolis, the owner, is exceptionally nice and helpful and always offers you a drink when you have a question. We loved our stay, and would definitely go back if we go to Crete.
Review 106:Everything !!!
Review 107:Great location, v.friendly host and good value
Review 108:We were in 1 floor and all waterpipes were making noise.
Review 109:Very nice hotel. Rooms were nice and swimming pool was big enough.
Review 110:Bathroom - shower was cramped.
Review 111:The view from the balcony was magical.
Review 112:Very pleasant apartment, wonderful sea view, peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed every moment.
Review 113:Excellent accomodation at the price - clean, comfortable and very friendly service. Great views and lovely large pool.
