Reviews for Kaleidoszkóp Ház Hostel

Review 1:The first day of our arrival we stayed in another room because someone else was using ours and the room had uncomfortable beds. When we moved our room, everything was good.

Review 2:Staff was so friendly and helpful. The place was warm, cosy and clean.

Review 3:small fridge without racks - it is difficult not to mix your food with other guests.

Review 4:I was happy to have the opportunity to enjoy the cave in the basement - bellydancers festival was held there :-)

Review 5:Nice place with friedly people. It's no hotel, but a hostel. So don't expect hotel standard. We cycled from Germany to Hungary and this will be one of the stays we will remember. The location is grwat, just beneath the castle and basilika.

Review 6:Simple fantastic. The location, the room and the decoration is awsome! Really old house, but very clean and tidy. Much better feeling than the other apartments in the city.

Review 7:The bed, which was a sofa-bed, was extremely uncomfortable. The Wifi signal was not very strong, and the room would really have benefitted from a bedside light.

Review 8:The hostel was well located and the staff member who checked me in was very friendly. The place was well decorated with some very interesting artwork. And thankfully it was cool, as it was very hot outside. If I'd been staying longer than one night I'd have been very happy about being able to use the washing machine in the bathroom. Very good value for money.

Review 9:Cosy place with creative atmosphere. Excellent location. Nice bar and patio downstairs. Really enjoyed my stay here, would like to stay lomger or return once again later. Friendly staff. Don't be afraid to ask about the hostel in the bar if left blue door is closed :)

Review 10:Incredible place with unique atmosthere. There is great bar and patio to hang out. Staff was very nice and helpfull. Location is also great advantage.

Review 11:In a hostel I look for a more relaxed atmosphere and a more " at-home" feeling than a hotel. At Kaleidoszkóp Ház I definitely got this experience. By now I am able to compare my experiences staying at a lot of places. There were places where once was enough. Kaleidoszkóp is one that I really plan to go to again. Thanks again Kata !

Review 12:The WiFi did not work at all!! To reach the bathroom you have to get out of the building side - so in the winter it is quite chilly (although it takes a couple of seconds to get there). The ceiling was not plastered or painted - it had mold.

Review 13:The place is located within 10 minutes walk from the Basilka - great view, although you may find it far to reach from the train station. It is an interesting old place with new modern art decorations. Good price.

Review 14:It is directly connected to a bar/music pub which can be loud until late, for me this was no problem but one must realize it.

Review 15:Really nice, special and good central place with excellent value for money. Very nice people, had a great time.

Review 16:The bed was a bit small (not that uncomfortable though) The shower room felt a bit grimy, but the shower itself was clean and very good.

Review 17:I possibly had the warmest greeting (in my travels) by the hostess. I really felt like she wanted me to be there. The hostel is a bit funky, very old fashioned and somewhat outdated but not dirty. There was a kitchen that I didn't use, the location was perfect. The price was about right.

Review 18:The hostel was focused on an event they were running and had filled up the place with the participants. It was only when we produced a copy of our reservation that the manager got us a room.....after an hour of waiting

Review 19:It was a great location.....once the manager acknowledged our reservation she was very helpful

Review 20:Choose another place if you don't like the "local colour".

Review 21:I was on a bike trip, and I loved this hostel. It's full of colours, and near the city center. Kata is very kind and she speaks fluent English. There's a fully-furnished kitchen.

Review 22:We were welcomed by lovely staff and the hostel was very colourful and quirky. We were told it used to be a gallery so there were great pictures everywhere.

Review 23:Great location, friendly staff, took time to show us on a map everything we might want to see. Excellent value.

Review 24:The best hostel I've visited. Very distinctive style, warm welcome and fantastic location.

Review 25:this is rather 'hostel' than 'hote'l, keep in mind, bathroom is shared

Review 26:this is a nice property, very stylish, hip place

Review 27:perfect hosts, tasty figs - thank you!

Review 28:for sure the place to be in town

Review 29:Verschiedenen hipster place. Artistic things everywhere. Nice patio with small bar.

Review 30:The bed really is hard - maybe need to pop to IKEA to get some cheap foam mattress toppers.

Review 31:Value, friendly staff, quirky

Review 32:Nope

Review 33:Excellent location, wonderful staff. Great place to stay. Awesome atmosphere.

Review 34:Comfort and cleanliness of the furnitures would be appreciated to improve...

Review 38:No ghosts inside - though there could be:)
