Reviews for Roubeti Village

Review 1:The only disadvantage was the poor/unstable Internet connection. When it was working the speed was ok but at times there was no signal in the room or the connection was breaking, which was annoying as we needed it for work.

Review 2:We really liked the location considering that we had a car. If you do not plan to rent a car it would take about 10-15 min walking distans to the bus, which is also not bad. The family that runs the hotel are excellent hosts and are very nice and welcoming.

Review 3:We had a fantastic stay at Roubeti Village!! Really nice place, well located, and stephany en athanasios were great hosts! i highly recommend staying here!

Review 4:We had the most amazing time at Roubetti village. We stayed in lots of hotels during our trip around the greek islands but this was by the far the best. The hospitality from our hosts was brilliant and from the minute we arrived they made us feel at home and welcome. Santorini is also wonderful and I couldn't recommend this hotel and island enough.

Review 5:Stephanie and her husband are lovely people. The unique schedules planned by Steph were perfect for our us. The breakfast served was perfect and we enjoyed having it together. Although the stay was short but we feel like a family together. They are really friendly and helpful with all our queries. Thanks for the awesome service and we miss you guys already ;)

Review 6:Nothing at all !!

Review 7:Stunning cave apartment !! Lovely, helpful staff !! Would highly recommend anyone thinking of staying here to do so in a heartbeat, you will not be disappointed !!

Review 8:The caves to sleep were amazing, the pool was clean and deep, the owners Stephanie and tsanassis were fantastic persons. They did everything for our comfort. The grillparty our last evening was a perfect finale to our holidays. Thsanassis Even drove us to the AirPort two o'clock in the night..

Review 9:We would have liked to have been closer to Fira. The walk is a bit too far if you just want to pop out for a bite or quick drink. Felt a bit trapped. Would recommend a rental of a scooter, atv or car.

Review 10:The owners were very accommodating and helped with transfers and car rental. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but a little sparse. Pool area is nice and plenty of space to sit and unwind.

Review 11:Breakfast is too basic and the toilets are too small. There is no wi-fi in the room. No privacy for two couples or family staying in a two bedroom unit. Furniture is old and not the very best.

Review 12:The hosts Stephanie and Thanasis are an amazing couple and will go out of the way to make your stay memorable and comfortable. Thanasis does not mind driving you to Fira free of cost in his old Mazada Sports Car which is a wonderful gesture on his part. They make up for any other inadequacy this hotel has. Don't rush to form an opinion about this place on day 1, you will start loving it from the second day for sure. Most importantly it is most centrally located with a request bus stop hardly about 300 meters from the hotel. A super market and car rental facility too are at 300 meters distance. I will recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Review 13:Little away from fira city..u require a vehicle handy...but the concept of cave..ignores the above point...it is good for the price....

Review 14:Best rooms ..They dont work as professionals ...but work from their heart...give whatever required & demanded....Go for more days....

Review 15:Im pretty picky when it comes to accommodation. The caves were amazing but I couldn't get over the smell (sort of a chlorine type smell). I felt they were a bit outdated with how they were furnished etc. The circle bed in the cave downstairs was damp the whole time (i guess thats something to do with the caves) The had a de-humidifier in the room but it didn't seem to help. There was also no hand soap or bath gel in the bathroom. It wasn't a horrible place to stay, was fine with a group of friends but I'm very picky about where I stay and I wouldn't stay again. The facilities in the kitchen are from the 80s. However the pool area and top deck is lovely. Breakfast was very average. Overall the hotel was nice but not luxury.

Review 16:The owners were absolutely lovely!

Review 17:Villa Roubeti is a fantastic place to stay, our hosts Stefania and Sarnassis were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to drive us to local shops, making sure we knew how to get places and giving great information. They are both lovely people and we had such a great time staying with them. They have two dogs who are very sweet and the whole hotel is beautifully cared for. You feel very at home here.

Review 18:Nothing to say. It was just hard to leave....

Review 19:Roubeti village is well situated near airport and near Fira. Rooms are very clean with a beautiful design. Our hosts are very nice.

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:The cave was spacious, so clean and with a beautiful greek style! The owner was so helpful, the breakfast was good . There is a beautiful rooftop with a great view! If you can have a room there.. Don't hesitate to take it !!

Review 22:Wifi works in communal areas not in cave style rooms but it was ok.

Review 23:The owners are fantastic people who help in any way they can. The pool and communal areas are spotless and very enjoyable. The rooms are just lovely, a classic style with a quality feel. It was actually nice to be away from the more touristy towns in Santorini as it was more peaceful, good night's sleep. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Santorini.

Review 24:Hot water supply was not consistent

Review 25:Stefania and her family were wonderful hosts. They are so hospitable and helpful in all ways from our arrival, car rental, places to go etc. The entire place is beautiful, indoor or outdoor. We loved the cave rooms, outdoor rooftop breakfast, sunrise, sunset, everything! We also enjoyed an unforgettable BBQ evening. Couldn't thank her enough for the lovely stay! Location is very central, and actually pretty near to Fira without the hustle bustle. Very peaceful!

Review 26:Stefania and Vanasis welcomed us really well by picking us up. The breakfast is everyday made by themselves. The hotel is on top of a village what gives you a beautifull view on the sea. The hotel is made out of old volcanic stones what are perfect for the body, helping us to sleep easily. The structure is amazing, the rooms are shaped as caves. Everywhere in the hotel you can find relaxes spaces with shade or not. The swimming pool is a good size and clean. Moreover the location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Santorini day per day, bay per bay.

Review 27:A tremendous experience with outstanding service and B&B personal touch. Beautiful little pool, very nice traditional Greek cave rooms. Would return anytime!

Review 28:Absolutely nothing !

Review 29:We had a fantastic stay at Roubeti Village. Many thanks to Stefania and Thanasis, they are remarkable people who we will never forget. We can recommend Roubeti Village to everyone !

Review 30:Hotel is located at Messaria, but they have no view to Santorini Kaldera at all. Car parking is public and far away from the hotel, so you have to carry your luggage from the car to the doors by narrow streets and stairs (however, the staff suggested us help with this). Minimun furniture in the rooms, only a bed, a chair and a mirrow table. No safe and mini-fringe in the room. No curtain in the shower, so the bathroom was always full of water every time we had shower, we had to be very careful not to fall down when we came in after. I can't say the shower was clean enough. Our room had a single very small window to the pool, so it was dark in the room any time of the day. Towels were not changed daily (we stayed 3 days, and one day they did not change the towels). Breakfast was poor if compared to other hotels we stayed in Greece. Only a sandwich with a dry toast + sometimes an egg + packed juce and hot drink. No buffet for breakfast, no selection of food. WiFi signal was wery low, actually available only in public areas. We could not connect from the room. In our opinion, the hotel is definitely overpriced. My husband said it was the worst of about 10 hotels we stayed in Greece during our travel, although the major of them were cheaper

Review 31:Room was quite big. Hotel location is good to visit all places in Santorini, but only if you rent a car.

Review 32:Staff was excellent. Very attentive to all of our needs. Very informative about the history of the area. Gave good advice about places to see in Sanorini

Review 33:If staying in September/October take mosquito spray.

Review 34:The cave rooms are gorgeous and we loved staying in a cave. The location is off the beaten track and is tucked into the narrow residential streets of Mesaria. The surrounding properties (many also caves) are mainly inhabited by locals, which we liked and it gave the hotel a feeling of being in an oasis. Most of the island is easily accessible by bus, but ask your hosts about the stops as they vary depending on where you want to go. Car/scooter/quad bike hire is easily available. The rooms are well equipped with fridges and cooking facilities, but you will need to ask the hosts for any cooking equipment (pots, pans) you need if you wish to cook. We were happy preparing salads. The pool is lovely and deep. The hotel has a friendly family feel and we hope to return.

Review 35:After 4 marvelous days in Roubetti Village we were fully satisfied with the accomodation. Actually the owners from the first minute they made us feel like our home. Drinking wine with the owners and other visitors, playing and swimming in the spectacular pool, excellent breakfast were some of the accomodation offerings including in the price. Really a hidden gem in the most beautiful Greek island!

Review 36:We loved everything about that place. Stephanie is a great host, we felt very welcome. Everything was very neat and clean, just perfect. The place features many small hangouts, with small tables, which is very romantic and with a great view of a large part of the island. The pool is very nice and clean, and the room was carefully furnished and spotless clean, with many neat little details. We will be back, for sure!

Review 37:Shower facilities poor like most Australians a hot shower is a must with a good shower head at present not to good.Wifi is limited to outside your room

Review 38:Amazing people very friendly very helpful nothing too much trouble this is Stephanie and her husbands first year and are doing well but I'm sure by next year will have an even better venue

Review 39:There was nothing to dis-like about the place it's beautiful

Review 40:The place was nice and relaxing the pool was nice and looked after every day by stefania husband we had clean towels changed daily

Review 41:100% greece !!! Stephania and Thanasis will do everything to guide you to make your stay idyllic! Tipical rock dwelling in the region in a small hamlet both near and far that will bring the calm needed for a good stay. The service of a hotel with the pleasure of being homestay !!! Needs of transportation, a scooter rental or car, or even a good place to eat, as said Thanasis: "No problem!" they will strive to meet your needs and adjust. Thank you for the stay !!! Xavier and Beatrice de Toulouse

Review 42:Distance from the main street (where buses stop) 500 meters, uphill + 3km on the main street (flat street) Total distance from city center 3,5km = 40 min by walk. We suggest travelers to rent a motorbike or car at the port to avoid spending 15€ for a taxi.

Review 43:Staff was perfect. The place was really nice, and very nice was room, too.

Review 44:We would have liked some utensils and plates in the kitchenette area to be able to make a snack in our room. The wifi was good in common areas but it would have been good for it to be available inside the rooms.

Review 45:Roubeti Village was a beautiful surprise away from the crowds in Santorini. It was a peaceful and relaxing time we spent there. Perfect for our family of four. The cave rooms were beautifully decorated with wine making artifacts from the historical past of the building. There was even a tiny church on the property. The staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable about the history. I would recommend Roubeti Village to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway in Santorini.

Review 46:My travel buddy would rather have had air-conditioning rather than just the fan that was provided.

Review 47:Loved the layout & rooms- really individual- bit different. Really reasonable price.

Review 48:Loved staying at this hotel!the owners were so welcoming and their little girls very cute and helpful!would recommend this place to anyone.pool was amazing and the breakfasts that are included were delicious!wish I could have stayed longer!thanks for having me and my friend!

Review 49:Very unique and nicely built hotel. Our 18 & 15 years old kind really loved everything here. Pool was open 24hours, breakfast at top of the hotel with lovely view. Owner couple was lovely! Because we had plenty time to spend after check out till our flight. They kept our suits cases to there and they brought all to the airport! Very kind! Location is much quiter than Fira that we prefer. Local restaurant or cafe is much more cheaper and can feel more local atmosphere. Want to go back again!

Review 50:To start, Stefania and Thanasis are just great people ! They sent us a free shuttle at the harbour and back, they arranged a car for us and they even managed to send back my wallet to Belgium which I left in the rental car ! All for nothing... We enjoyed every minute there, everything we asked was taken care of. This b&b is set in a very quiet, narrow street, far from the Fira area (which is very crowded). We had a cave room and 2 of our children slept upstairs, the other one in the living room next to ours. There's a bakery at the main road (200m) which is open 24/24h and 2 supermarkets nearby. The swimming pool is fantastic and the view from the breakfast area, even not to the caldera but at 360°, is superb. Santorini is expensive but this b&b can compete with other much more expensive ones. Very good price/quality.

Review 51:Stefania and Thanasis, who run this hotel, are fantastic. You can arrive at Santorini airport in the middle of the night and this greek handyman comes to pick you up with his sportcar and entertain you during the short trip talking about Olympiakos footbal team. What else? you like clubs? No problems, Stefania will take you to Enigma or Mamunia in Firà with her husband and enjoy music & drinks all night long with you. A special mention to the friendliness of the hotel staff and to the beauty and the confort of the location. The only condition is that you must deserve all this. With the right state of mind a wonderful holiday is ensured!

Review 52:the house is very nice, with original caves, a beautiful pool, a lovely bar, the location is convenient, and the most important, the host and hostess are very nice and enthusiastic!

Review 53:Run by a gorgeous family; always wiling to help. Sleeping in a (beautifully decorated) cave that was once home to wine making was neat!

Review 54:everything

Review 55:Fantastic place and amazing people

Review 56:Enjoyed the quaintness but needed a lot of taxis to get anywhere with various charges in place,

Review 57:Quiet and peaceful and the owners were very helpful.

Review 58:Owners have done all they could to make our stay enjoyable despite a kid being sick. Great place to visit !

Review 59:Breakfast could be better

Review 60:Super friendly!! Incredible place.

Review 61:great people great place great hospitality

Review 62:The pool, the kindness of the staff, the location in the middle of the island, the silence.

Review 63:Nope.

Review 64:The cave like home stay and wild surrounding make one feel at peaceful and relax!

Review 65:Hospitality provided by Stephanie and Athanasios was awesome.

Review 66:Stunning accommodation on this beautiful island

Review 67:Slightly away from main road

Review 68:Wifi. No provision of water etc in case you need it at odd times
