Review 1：Food was pretty terrible. Everything tastes the same and every night has pretty much the same menu despite the theme. Lots of choices though but they mostly have same ingredients in them so the number doesn't reflect variety.

Review 2：The place itself is very good for families with children. A lot of different pools for children and the place is well maintained. There isnt a single pool that adults can actually use to swim if you want any kind of excercise but there is the sea so no biggie.

Review 3：In season this hotel would be amazing..... October half term it was all closing down with limited facilities. Avoid visiting after 20th October! Only one restaurant open, pool bars closed, slides subject to weather (and management decision), like a ghost hotel by Last Wednesday of the month :(

Review 17：Provided "All inclusive" is poor. It is much more for youngs than for family. They have blocked money on my bank account, and even after pre-payment they have rejected to release it.

Review 18：Staff, room, food, beach is fine, +/-20km best place per my opinion. It is worth to visit the beach, if you are single, with friends, or young couple, and like loud music.

Review 19：Very noisy, loud music from the beach parties. Seems that we were there during spring break so lots of teenagers there to party. Most families were given rooms in a more quiet section of the property, but we were somewhere in the middle... Could hear everything going on in the rooms next door and above. The rooms also aren't very nice, more like a 2 star hotel or even youth hostel. Had a nice time overall, but not at all what we were expecting in terms of comfort and cleanliness.. Also a big spot of mild in the closets which gave a really bad smell throughout the room.

Review 20：Nice to have an all inclusive vacation. Food was good. The location was close to the centre of town and beaches. Lots of slides and little gymborees for kids.

Review 21：Lots of steps which meant two people needed to carry pushchair up and down to get to restaurant and rooms. There is ways around this of necessary provided you are on the ground floor. Many of the same things at meal times and chips out at breakfast time which I had to convince my 4 year old, was not a good idea! Only having one bar available over in the waterproof was a problem because we would have liked to spend more time there with the kids but it meant you weren't getting use of the all inclusive and we were having to pay for drinks from the nearby bar. There was one which is all inclusive which I assume is open in the busier months but it wasn't at the end of May which you would expect to be within peak season.

Review 22：The double bed was huge and very comfy as we're the other beds judging by how the kids slept. The sunbeds we're also the best I've come across, sturdy and comfy. Great for kids of all ages with so many different pools across the site. Beach towel service was great although be aware there is a 10 euro deposit for each but they change them for you when you like and room towels changed daily. Saved luggage space ☺

Review 23：I would of liked an information pack in the room to explain things and the lay out of the resort. The receptionist ran through a few things but you tend to forget when checking in.

Review 24：Great location and lots of things to do. Plenty of things for young and old alike.There was plenty of variety with all the meals although everything was buffet style. Limited drinks in the all inclusive deal and the bar was a fair way from where we were situated. The property is only a short walk to the shops and the bus stop is right outside to reach other destinations.

Review 25：The one thing that would stop me from returning with my family would be the unbearable music played round one of the pools from 1pm till 6pm . You can hear it everywhere even on the beach .

Review 30：Cretan Taverna closed, dinner buffet a bit boring after a few days. Pizzas and sandwiches at the pool bar are not good. Rooms are OK, but not great.

Waterpark closed,Cretan taverna closed, beach had no watersports, nothing on. I went withhusband and two teenage children 19 yrs and picked this resort as Ithought it would suit the 19yr olds also, but we were totally boredstupid. Complained bitterly about false advertising and had to fight toget discount off my bill, which was minimal. I definitely would notreturn here. Total waste of money and a weeks annual leave. Still wasntcheap at end of season.

Review 34：This hotel would be close to a perfect holiday if only the rooms were less noisy. You have the feeling of being inside a hostel, with all the noise from the hallway, doors and adjoining rooms. Very annoying when the loud bangs from doors on other rooms wake you up in the middle of the night. Siesta for my child was a nightmare because of so much noise. The room cleaning could be better, my bathroom had sink green mucus which the cleaners don't seem to notice, an instant turn-off for me. Often just one staff at the reception, don't expect quality attention as they are usually overwhelmed and in a hurry to get rid of you in order to attend to the next person.

Review 35：The location of the hotel is very good, quite huge with lots of facilities perfect for families with children, lots of swimming pools and water activities, large beach area. All inclusive buffet was good, with lots of desserts, restaurant staff are very friendly and ready to assist. Free snacks at the pool bars. Would recommend this place for families.

Review 37：The only “downfall” of the hotel is its Internet Wi-Fi coverage which is really low and slow in the rooms and areas that are not the lobby or the dining rooms, and you have to depend on your own cellular internet connection most of the time.

Review 38：We Were at Star Beach hotel between 09/10/2014-12/10/2014. With 3 teenaged boys. Everything was just great, starting the check in, the room, the staff, their awareness and treatment because of our allergic kid, the rooms are big and clean. The all-inclusive services, food and drinks were adequate and well enough. The idea of having the resort and the water park next to each other and have most facilities in the park included was just awesome for the kids. this is a good hotel for families with children between ages 7-17

Review 44：Overall complex and facilities very good and easy to access. The studio room which we had for a week was of good size and had good facilities for all needs and the room was cleaned daily. Would recommend this water village without hesitation to families as there are many rides if you like water of course. Food at all restaurants is excellent and deserve credit.

Review 45：The hotel ha no air condition in the public areas. The free WiFi reception is no good inside the room and in little aside the public spots. The rooms are not so modern style but still very functional. The free beverages are at low quality. The are teen parties every Mon. and Thur. which make a lot of noise till midnight. Might be an issue for children who need quiet area to sleep.

Review 46：We were a family with 3 children. We stayed in a family room which had much space. The room was clean. The food was O.K. There was a variety to pick from for the kids. The Chef gave us warm attention which made us feel at home. The free water park gave the kids much time to play.

Review 47：- At check-in we were informed that due to technical issues, we had to stay the first night in another 4* hotel arranged by Star Beach at around 1 km distance (most probably they mixed the reservations and did not have free rooms for the 1st night). However they arranged a shuttle bus to this hotel and from it the other day. Also we were allowed to use all the facilities of Star Beach, if we wished, thing which we did; - WiFi coverage and speed is very poor with many areas without coverage. Probably it is difficult due to size of village, but still... - Only 2 bars offer drinks and snacks during the day for All Inclusive guests making it a little bit inconvenient if you stay at a pool that is far from them. However there are others bars where you can buy it; - Was surprised to find out that Star Beach TV channels were not broadcasting the 2014 Football World Cup and at the bars in the village you couldn't watch as well. Had to go outside the village and watch it in other bars.

Review 48：- The village is very nice; - Water Park and the pools with different slides and other stuff for kids are very good for both, kids and adults; - All Inclusive guests can use the Water Park, the pools (more than 5), sunbeds and umbrellas (even at the beach) free of charge; - Food was good. During our 8 days stay, at lunch and dinner there was always at least 1-2 new dishes (sushi, moussaka etc). Some of them were prepared in front of you. The sweets variety was also good; - The hotel offers breakfast/lunch baskets if you plan to go to some other places on Crete (we went to Balos lagoon and Elafonisi beach); - During the day at one of the pools, some entertainment activities were organized for kids. In the evening they organized some contests, mini-disco, things which the kids (& adults) enjoyed; - The staff was very friendly and helpful; - We were allowed to have late check-out (due to the situation with the 1st night staying at other hotel);

Review 75：In May a lot of Dutch teenagers who have just left school tend to go to this resort but to be totally honest they did not cause any problems, sometimes a bit rowdy at night but if you can't beat them join them and they do turn the music off at midnight and then they all tend to go clubbing in the town. They tend to keep all the teenagers in a seperate block from the families, we did have need to complain one evening about our rowdy neighbours but we rang the reception area and it was dealt with immediately. We saw a great daily entertainments programmes for younger children but there was not much else in the way of entertainment.

Review 76：Brilliant resort hotel with loads to do for a family and kids (ours boys are aged 11 and 15). Great location, easy walk to centre and shops. Great cheap shop on site, all hotel resort staff wonderful, beautiful restaurant area with an excellent selection of food every day and a great choice of soft drinks, one local greek beer choice and a choice of not bad cretan bottles of red or white red again for all inclusive guests but if you do fancy a fine wine they are readily available at reasonable extra cost. Recommend the Cretan Star Restuarant on site but you do have to book, same food as main restuaraunt but not as much choice but beautiful location overlooking sea, and we were able to hear waves lapping on the shore. Water slides fab and enjoyed by all, plenty of rubber rings for water slides when we went in May 2014 (kids holidays) but can imagine very busy during kids holidays in July and August. Beach beautiful which was clean,also clean beach area, pools area and water park areas with free sunbeds and umberellas for all inclusive guests. Sunbeds around pool very comfortable with steamer style wooden loungers with thick padded cushions, other sun loungers around beach and water park are standard metal ones but again comfortable, please be aware the back of one did collapse on me trapping and hurting my fingers. Gardens beautifully kept, lovely decorated clean modern rooms with small kitchen area which included sink, fridge, kettle with daily top up of tea and coffee and proper quiet air conditioning and tv. Beautiful marble bathroom, with fantastic shower and vanity table and stool area, hair dryer in bathroom was great. Comfy bed, clean towels daily if required, not a lot wrong with this hotel I would highly recommend it and hope to stay again very soon. It is a 4 star hotel and it lived up to it, but maybe not suitable for people who want english 4 star facilities. The photos do not do this hotel justice, it is far nicer.
