Reviews for Nido Degli Dei

Review 1:Undoubtedly the best part of the stay was Mamma Gabriela. She is an incredibly lovely woman and makes you feel as if you are coming home every day. Her B&B reflects her personality and I simply cannot give it enough praise.

Review 2:NON..

Review 3:From the worm welcome of Mrs Gabriela, to the surrounding area of the location. Il Nodo is a perfect place with value for money if you want to explore the Amlfie coast. Parking is also very secure, perfect if you are travelling with motorcycle like we where..

Review 4:Very very very kind hotel owner. We directly booked an additional night. Room was very big and clean. Very nice view. Free Internet and parking. Very fair prices also for drinks and dinner. We want to return there as soon as we can. Very good experience.

Review 5:No dislikes

Review 6:Gabriella & her Family bring Hospitality to the next level. They are so kind And helpfull. If this mean to give you information or stay 3 hours in the kitchen to prepare a meal for you from the ecological garden And share Family recept. This all with love & kindness. Really they want you to feal at home

Review 7:Being 2000 ft above sea level meant white knuckle ride for an hour everyday to get to beach at Amalfi .

Review 8:Gabrielle, the owner was helpful, funny, and worked very hard to make guests happy. It was our honeymoon and the town is quaint. The hotel was clean and rustic, and our room ( the eros room) had own balcony overlooking the sea. Even the mule eeeooorrr! Noise at 5am each morning from farm next door was amusing! Great time overall.

Review 9:The staff is very friendly and helpful, the view is absolutely beautiful. At 5 min from the location you can find restaurants and shops. The best way to get to Nido Degli Dei is by car.

Review 10:location-1 hour drive with the bus from Amalfi, though it looks so close

Review 11:location-San Lazzaro is a very lively village, well developed for tourists; the house is on the edge of the cliffs a very knowledgable host-do share your plans with her-she could save you tons of time and improve your planning schedule beautiful eye for details in the house/rooms

Review 12:No air conditioning but because of the location on the mountain you will be confortable in the evening

Review 13:Free parking, nice size confortable room , great value paid 80 euros for a double room with a balcony including breakfast

Review 14:We planned to go more often to the beach. The location, however, is too far for this and beach is difficult to approach.

Review 15:The host-owner lady was extremely kind and helpful. Beautiful panorama, lovely rooms. Agerola is a nice little town if you want to experience Italian countryside.

Review 16:We had a nice 2 bedroom suite with a shared terrace. Way above Amalfi as expected, but we walked down the cliff to Lido Degli Artisti on Duoglio beach and had a fantastic lunch, then to Amlfi by boat, and later back to San Lazarro by bus

Review 17:More variation for breakfast which includes fresh fruit. Lack of air conditioning in room as very warm on a summer night. Unable to access wifi except in common area. Also a safe in our room would be appreciated for valuables

Review 18:Car parking was excellent & nice garden setting. Very friendly & informative host. Proximity to local restaurants and local bus service to Amalfi excellent.

Review 19:You need a car to get anywhere, as bus connections are limited and driving is a challenge!

Review 20:Welcoming, like being part of the family. Ideal for walks in this beautiful area.

Review 21:We had one dinner at B&B.It was a pasta with a 10 Euro price tag which is twice as much compared to a restaurant such as Leonardo's.

Review 22:The owner of B&B is dedicated lady. Location is about 30 min. drive to the closest beach and the road is very tricky. But we did not care.

Review 23:I didn't like the fact that we only had enough time to stay for one night. Had we known that we would have liked it that much, we would have booked a longer stay.

Review 24:Gabriella, the owner, treated us like we were family. I didn't feel like I was in someone's home, yet it felt like a B&B just the same. The rooms were private, with solid doors, so you didn't feel like you had to whisper. The rooms are equipped with full bathrooms, and the everything was spotless. We could hear the church bells ringing in the distance. The air was fresh. The roads were not crowded. There was ample free parking at the house. There was a small vineyard on the property. We had a beautiful little patio off of our room that we could walk out to. We loved every minute of our stay, and would definitely go back.

Review 25:There was absolutely nothing that we did not like about our stay here!

Review 26:Gabriella was the most amazing host. Her cooking is incredible, she is funny, kind and goes above and beyond what any B&B owner would do. She is by far one of the most exeptional people I have met ever. She let us in her kitchen, shared recipes and even bought us shopping for some of our favorite foods and drinks! We learned how to make homemade pasta and she brought us to buy a pasta machine, ingredients and to a small lemoncello factory. Our time here was the highlight of our trip around Italy an will never forget how amazing Gabriella and her family were to us.

Review 28:It is hard to describe the extent of the hospitality of Gabriella and her daughter Maria, but we will give it a try. From the moment that we arrived, everything was just perfect.Maria was there to greet us outside (even though we did not call prior to our arrival, they just keep good track of everything around their property to ensure that the guests are well looked after) and provided us with details on the surroundings and the room. A little while later she even knocked on our door to lend us a detailed hiking map as we indicated that we were interested to hike a lot during our 4 day stay.Pursuant to her directions, we walked to Amalfi on our first afternoon there. The location of the B&B is great and very close to some well known hiking paths (such as Sentiero degli Dei) as well as some lesser know hiking spots. We were pleasantly surprised by this and made sure to hike every day. When we indicated that we would like to walk the Sentiero degli Dei one morning, Gabriella immediately offered us a ride by her daughter Maria to bring us to the starting point of the walk (which is in the Bomerano fraction of Agerola, a walk of approximately 2,5km). Maria drove us there when we were ready to depart and offered us an umbrella as it was raining, which was most kind. Alternatively, there is also a bus that services San Lazarro and that goes to Bomero with Amalfi as the end stop (which in its turn acts as a hub for departures to other tourist cities such as Praiano, Positano and Naples). While we had planned on renting a car (which did not go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances) we were actually quite pleased we did not as bus services are nice to get a view of the area, very cheap and very close to Nido degli Dei.Besides this, Gabriella was there every morning to greet us in the breakfast room and make a lovely cappucino for us. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from with fresh fruits, yoghurt, bread, all sorts of cheese, meat and sweet furnishings.

Review 29:a bit noisy in the rooms far from the sea, but the view from the windows all replaced)

Review 30:donna Gabriela friendly and gregarious view from the terrace is awesome breakfast gorgeous everything was great

Review 31:There was not one thing I didn't like about my experience at nido degli dei.

Review 32:I can't wait to return to nido degli dei. From the moment we arrived we were treated with such kindness and care from Gabriella. She was helpful, and amazing cook, and always eager to help us plan our next adventure.

Review 33:Nothing

Review 34:We loved everything about this wonderful guesthouse. Gabriella was the most wonderful host. She is a fountain of information about the local area and will also help you to organise any tour you might want to do. We loved staying in small mountain village of San Lazarro. It's away from the maddening tourist crowd but is serviced incredibly well by buses which will take you wherever you want to go and Gabriella has a wealth of information at her fingertips about transport too. With careful instructions from Gabriella we visited Pompeii by public transport, what a great experience. Oh and Gabriella also speaks wonderful English. The guesthouse is vey comfortable, and is an easy stroll to the main piazza in the town and the views are unsurpassed (we were amazed that small planes and helicopters were flying below us!) While we didn't make it down to the coast Gabriella took us for a walk on our last afternoon so that we could see the whole of the Amalfi coast, simply stunning. Thank you Gabriella for the most wonderful stay and your fantastic hospitality.

Review 35:The wifi is only available in common areas

Review 36:Although it takes time to get to tourist destinations they are all an equal distance apart. It is a great location for doing some beautiful walks to amalfi and positano. As everyone mentions Gabriela is lovely, so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and remain cool without air conditioning. We loved our time here and would recommend.

Review 37:We will never forget our stay at Nido degli Dei!!! Gabriella was so kind from the first minute. Always ready with advise for our journey, with stories from her town, with a cold beer that we could drink at the terrace and with help in any way. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and we loved the terrace with the view of that beautiful, blue Mediterranean sea. The location is perfect, very quiet and full of lemon trees and vegetable gardens, and the bus stop is only a five minute walk away! And, to finish up every day in the best way possible, Gabriella's dinners are absolutely delicious! We are very grateful for our time at Nido Degli Dei!

Review 38:As Said in other reviews by car it take some time to Amalfi but you gain other thing.

Review 39:The View was fantastiskt, The frindly service. Dont forget the pizzeria just nearby.

Review 40:Nido Degli Dei means Nest of the Gods. Indeed it was close to heaven, 200m horizontally from sea, yet 900m vertically!! The hostess, Gabriella and her daughter, were superb - in fact Gabriella's cooking was truly heavenly.

Review 41:The address is a little difficult to find. Our GPS took us to another location but the owner dorected us well. May be better to give proper coordinates can help.

Review 42:Very traditional setting n helpful owner n daughter. They were very kind to cook us a great meal on our late arrival. Super nice view from the terrace. 15 minutes drive from Amalfi.

Review 43:The host. The view.. Central location. Best host in town!!

Review 44:Family running this place is very friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner is both very tasty. Very good value for money.

Review 45:nothing

Review 46:Excellent Location and very helpful and friendly staff

Review 47:No air conditioning

Review 48:view of amalfi Coast from the room or balcony

Review 49:The beds were rather on the hard side to be truly comfortable

Review 50:Gabrielle was most accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. What an awesome place.

Review 51:Parking a problem. Shower a mess. hour driving to coast. View not good.

Review 52:Rooms big

Review 53:Wonderful hostess

Review 54:Beautiful location high up in the mountains right next to the sea. Good restaurants nearby and a truly extraordinary hostess at your side anytime.

Review 55:Gabriella Coffee was too strong for me.

Review 56:Gabriella was a great host and was very accommodating and helpful.

Review 57:Mattresses rock hard!

Review 58:Owner right there, involved, kind, let us use the kitchen for light dinner.

Review 59:Its nothing to dislike but I think the address should contain the name San Lazzaro as Agerola is a widely spread district that is not obvious from studying the maps

Review 60:I cannot speak too highly of my stay with Gabriella in this wonderful, enchanting place. From her guidance to find the place on day one, the warmth of her welcome and the enthusiasm, charm and obvious joy of her hosting to the aspect of the Villa and the peacefulness of it and the town of St Lazzaro that nestles so close. I and my two female friends had a fantastic three days there. We will return I have no doubt. 10 out of 10 from me. Mal Williams Cardiff Wales.

Review 61:We loved everything about this place. Gabriella, the owner is fantastic, hospitable, she prepared very-very delicious dinners for us, she cooked the things that we asked for and even more. She also helped us in our trips, she made us maps. We could also see her cooking tips, she and her family is wonderful and helpful. The place is good starting point for a lot of excursions and trips. The price-value ratio is very good. We loved Gabriella very much. We will surely recommend this accomodation!

Review 62:The host Gabriella was friendly and welcoming. Agerola itself does not offer much in the way of restaurants but the local Da Gigino is open daily and has been there for about 50 years with the owner still working there. The view is lovely and accompanied by rural sounds of a donkey and geese.

Review 63:The location was high up in the mountains which was why we chose it, but this meant a journey by bus of around an hour to get to anywhere. Buses were infrequent on Sunday.

Review 64:The location and fabulous views. The friendliness of Gabrielle, she was helpful about all the excursions we did. The breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade cake, breads and salami was good.We were always offered more coffee. It was about 5 mins walk to the village to eat in the evening and for buses.

Review 65:Cituated high up the Amalfi coast, in the village of San Lazzaro, this B & B offers beautiful views from the room's balkonies. Amalfi is the closest town but because of the difficult driving, it is a bit tiring and time consuming to stay far from the coast. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and very clean.

Review 66:Gabriella is a very friendly host and welcomed us into her home. The resort is very relaxing and the views of the Amafi Coast are amazing. The village center is a short walk with some pizzaria's, cafe/bar and several shops.

Review 67:It takes plenty of time to go to the coast,a lot of heavy traffic on narrow streets. The location is nice but a little bit "off".

Review 68:The owner of the hotel,Gabriella is a very helpful and kind person, she helped us with everything we needed. The hotel is close to walkingpaths and the village is nice with some restaurants. You really feel welcome to this small hotel!

Review 69:This is the most wonderful little B&B. Away from Amalfi with all theturistrush. Beautifully situated and with a very friendly and helpfullstaff. You can have wonderful homecocked meals in the evening. We werenine women staying there and everybody loved it. One of the best placesI have ever stayed in. Thankyou Gabriella and Maria!!!

Review 70:Address on booking site incorrect Entry to villa through farm animal pens Bed hardest I have ever tried and were two singles, one normal and one very small single pushed together. No cerial at breakfast.

Review 71:Close to walking trails Good local restaurants Views on clear days beautiful

Review 72:Challenging Amalfi mountainside drive for unfamiliar drivers.

Review 73:The owner Gabriella and her son, Salvatore, were very friendly and accomodating. Gabriella speaks good English and provides good advise regarding things to do and places to see. Breakfast is good, parking and wi-fi readily available. The view outside the window as well as the balcony is exhilirating.

Review 74:all, especially nice views and hospitable owner

Review 75:Fabulous views, nice location. Gabriella is a special persone. Good breakfast and nice rooms. Thankyou Gabriella.

Review 76:Amazing sea view from the mountain. You can walk down the stairs and reach UNESCO Heritage Site - Amalfi town just in one hour.

Review 77:Great place the owner was very hospitable. I would recommend this place any time
