Reviews for Me.Fra Camere

Review 1:This is not necessarily a negative for this nice B & B, but a reality in these coastal towns that are situated on steep cliff side ravines. One must traverse many steps to get up and down to the rooms and apartments.

Review 2:This B & B is located right in the middle of the Amalfi coast in the small town of Atrani, right next to Amalfi Town, and travel to the other charming towns is very convenient. Sonia, our host was wonderful, bringing us delicious filled croissants and othe good things for breakfast, and answering our questions about visiting the area. There was secure, reasonable parking just a short hike from the apartment which was convenient and reassuring for our rental car. Our little apartment was very neat and clean, and the bed comfortable. We were there for one week in the off season in late November, and experienced the area with one day excursions to visit as much of the Amalfi Coast as we could. It was nice to have so few tourists and get to know the local people better. Overall Ma.Fra Camere was a very nice, quaint and convenient B&B, that was well situated for our travel experience. We would certainly stay there again if we travel to the Amalfi coast again in the future!

Review 3:The only negative are the church bells that ring every 15 mins all night. Otherwise this is an amazing gem.

Review 4:The very helpful landlady. Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view on terrace.

Review 5:No bad experiences would have liked the church bells not to ring every 15mins throughout the night but did not detract from the overall comfort.

Review 6:Warm welcome from Sonia who was helpful with all local queries. Good choice of local eating places on the doorstep yet only minutes walk away from the more commercial town of Amalfi. Easy local inexpensive transport of bus or ferry. The roof top terrace an added bonus.

Review 7:The rooms have no AC. They are not too hot even in August and a small fan does the trick, however, leaving the window open exposes you to the church bell that rings every 15 min, even at night. It takes a couple of nights to get used to it and forget about it.

Review 8:Sonia was a very nice and helpful host. Atrani is a very charming little town (the smallest in Italy!). Everything in the estavlishment was super clean!

Review 9:I was picked up in central squere, so it saved me time to find a place. In Atrani I believe 90% places to stay are 30,40,50 or more steps high from seaside. So my worries about 40 steps was extinquished stright away. To be honest: those steps add atractivity to Atrani. Cleanliness? You cant physicaly get place cleaner than is Me.FRA

Review 10:Amalfi and Atrani can be tricky or expensive with regards to parking, so let the owner know if you have a car in advance and she may be able to find a you cheaper spot.

Review 11:Excellent breakfasts included, very friendly and helpful owner. The rooms are clean, contemporary and comfortable. 2 minutes walk from the centre.

Review 12:Our stay was far too short!

Review 13:Sonia is a wonderful hostess and if you're lucky you'll meet her daughter Sara the cutest little girl in Atrani. The location very near the lovely Atrani piazza is perfect while Atrani itself is only a short walk away from Amalfi town (via quaint steps and tunnels) but a quiet, low-key world away from the tourist crowds usually filling Amalfi town. Breakfast is wonderful, especially when eating outside on the rooftop courtyard with views of Atrani spreading out up the cliffs around you. Definitely staying here next time we visit the Amalfi coast.

Review 14:-Nothing. But remember - all the town is set on the hill/rock and had no flat streets. Whenever your go you need to climb steps!

Review 15:-Instead of booked B@B room we were kindly given a spacious apartment room with a kitchen and shared terrace without any additional fair. The apartment had a nice view of raising to the rocks houses of the place. -The nice owner itself brought breakfast to our apartment each morning and the room was cleaned each day. -Atrani is nice not crowded place 15 min walk of Amalfi

Review 16:Had to wait over an hour to check-in because no one was there to meet us at the scheduled time. Breakfast was the same every day. We were in the quad room which does not have air conditioning or any fans. To get a breeze we had to leave the window open which is at street level, with a lot of noise from people walking by. This made it hard to sleep.

Review 17:Nice decor and friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Immaculate bathroom. Helpful updated ferry and bus timetables. The place felt quite homey. Atrani is a great spot- close to Amalfi but far enough away to be peaceful and less hectic.

Review 18:Take ear plugs along, the church nearby rings every 15 minutes...

Review 19:Sonia is a great host: warm, helpful, she'll make Me Fra Camere a home away from home for you. The room was perfectly clean with a brand new bathroom. Atrani is very close to Amalfi, which is very convenient.

Review 20:Excellent! Situated in a charming village in a very relaxing atmosphere at walking distance to Amalfi. Very well connected with public transport to all of the Amalfi coast.

Review 21:Mattress was not too comfortable but still slept well. Room had view of a courtyard. We did not spend much time in the room so it didn't really matter. Wi-fi was advertised but not hooked up since we came in the off season (March), but that was not noted on the web-site.

Review 22:Hotel is in Atrani, a 10 min. Walk from Amalfi. Amalfi is full of tourists, little shops etc. while Atrani seemed more like the everyday Italy. There is a little town square where kids were playing soccer and we had a very nice dinner. Sonia, the owner of Me far camere made us feel welcome and had a wonderful breakfast set up out on the terrace for us in the morning. We were there in the off season and seemed to be the only guests at that time. The room and bathroom seemed newly renovated and were very nice. The hotel is a bit hidden and you have to climb about 40 steps to get to it. Good exercise after eating gelato and pasta.

Review 23:Difficult to find and limited parking

Review 24:The hostess was fabulous and very helpful

Review 25:Church bell, not having Air Condition, entrance

Review 26:Very friendly staff

Review 27:The steps up are steep and could be a difficulty for old unfit people.

Review 28:We loved our hostess. We were treated to a lovely breakfast every morning. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful and views were spectacular. Sonia was very helpful and friendly.
