Reviews for Casa Pendola

Review 1:The owners are very nice and welcoming and were very helpful in assisting our stay. We have done the "Path of Gods" and arranged a pickup taxi to take us back from Positano. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Review 2:We simply couldn't choose a better B&B for our late summer vacation in Italy- the house, the breathtaking vews, the atmosphere the sisters create -always smiling and welcoming! We were just so impressed with all of it and we recommend the house to all our friends.Bearing in mind we were traveling with our 10-mounts old daughter , we had everything we needed and our room was cleaned daily-you don't get that service in many other hotels. Thanks a lot Casa Pendola:))) Inis , Iskra & Ivan ..... And Katerina's cakes are to die for:))))

Review 3:The following is given as information, not as a complaint since we have none! Sometimes, dogs bark at night and it echos all over the valley... (not specific to Casa Pendola). Walls may be a bit thin : we had to listen to a Skype conversation in the next room at midnight on one night, but such if the nature of travel. Would go back despite that! Note that access to Agerola by bus might not always be garanteed : the road was closed when we went and we had to hike up from the coast to get to Agerola (which was a superb walk, but very demanding).

Review 4:Nice town, away from crowds. Very nice hosts, great breakfasts, comfortable beds, great views from the balcony, stuning cleanliness, brand new beautiful bathroom, etc., etc., etc. Great restaurants nearby (don't miss the melanzane parmigiana and the spagetti carbonara at Picchio Rosso). Don't miss the hike to Tre Calli : best views of the Amalfi Coast!!! (better than the Path of gods!)

Review 5:You will need to plan carefully your arrival or request a pick up by contacting hotel before your arrival, otherwise it is not that easy to reach the hotel by public transport.

Review 6:The staff are awesome. The owner of the hotel picked us up from Bomerano village centre when we got there by bus and were almost desperate as we got lost. Also the lady at reception was extremely polite even we arrived late in the evening. Room was very clean and the view from the balcony is stunning! Breakfast included home baked pastries which were yummy! Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Review 7:Nothing at all about it.

Review 8:Best value for the money I ever had in my years of traveling. Highly recommend..just know that its a bit out of the usual tourist trap places...which is what we wanted. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Review 9:Not a huge selection of good places to eat in Bomerano - the one we were recommended as good was unfortunately closed. However, you can eat in Amalfi, Nocelle or Positano on your way back from the hiking.

Review 10:Easy access to Path of the Gods. Nice breakfast with lots of homemade and local items. Clean and comfortable room. Good balcony. Would recommend!

Review 11:We enjoyed everything. Antonella and her sisters make you feel home. Very welcoming and helpful. Nice house, nice surroundings nice breakfast and nice facilities (swimming pool). We had a great stay. Thanks!

Review 12:Wifi only in common room.

Review 13:Very friendly staff, very clean and well furnished. Big garden and nice view. Quite a long distance (15 km) from Amalfi / Positano sea shore, but in the end it was a good thing:)

Review 14:beautiful casa en perfect area with great facilities and the really most nice people: antonella, catarina and all the others thanks for a perfect holiday.

Review 15:Very warm and welcoming staff, helped with all of our needs, , amazing view and close to many good attractions, the owner even ordered a private bus for us to reach the nearby villages!! Got its own parking, I recommend to get a rental car if you stay there so you'll be able to enjoy all of the things that there are astound, Also, very close to the Path of gods which I really recommend (the host helped a lot with that) Best value for money I've ever seen!!

Review 16:This B&B is perfectly located if you are wanting to walk the 'Path of Gods' from Bomerano to Positano. Our room had a balcony with great views over Agerola to the sea. It has easy free parking, well cared for grounds and a pool. The host Antonella was welcoming and helped us with great advice on the round trip 'walk' to Positano, ferry to Amalfi and the bus back to Bomerano. Wonderful breakfast with made to order omelettes each morning.

Review 17:Though the place is overall spot clean, we were surprised that during a whole week our sheets and towels were never changed. There was a daily room cleaning service however so we weren't that bothered about it. The breakfast was scarce on meat and cheese and abundant in croissants and cakes (typically italian I suppose). We would have preferred some more proteins for breakfast. Coffee and teas need to be ordered at the bar, no issue with that but I am more a fan of self_service coffee machines. The breakfast serving hours were a bit of an issue for early birds like us, at 7.30 h it wasn't typically available. Amalfi is 35_50 minutes by bus plus another 10 minutes walk from Casa Pendola. For us it was no big deal and we preferred the bus to the car for going down to the coast (parking on the coast is nightmare as well as a rip off) but for some it may not be the best as the buses are very crowded and the fixed times not so great (only 1 bus per hour in the early morning and less after 10 a.m.).

Review 18:Very nice place, with a well cared for garden and beautiful view over the mountains and the sea. Conveniently located for visiting Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius (1 h drive), as well as for wandering up and down the Amalfi coast. The owners are very nice and warm people as well as very obliging. We felt great at Casa Pendola during our one week stay in July 2015 as a young couple. For us Casa Pendola was great value for the money, a good choice in location and a very nice place to stay. We would go there again and recommend it to friends.

Review 19:I never knew how beautiful Agerola would be. Casa pendola is a perfect location, access by bus to amalfi (40mins) but an amazing bus ride down the mountain, walking distance to the start of sentiero Degli Dei (which is the reason why we picked Agerola). Agerola is high up in the mountain, no tourists (the crowds are very overwhelming in positano and amalfi so it's a nice breather) and has a community like feel. The air is crisp and clean!:) The best part of our stay in Agerola was definitely Antonella and her sisters. We had such a WARM welcome and felt like family immediately. We would definitely stay here again!:)

Review 20:The room was great with a lovely view. The location is beautiful and peaceful, extremely close to the path for the 'walk of the gods'. The family who run the Casa are so friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast in the morning with home made cakes. Overall, a perfect stay.

Review 21:We stayed at Casa Pendola in May 2015 and travelled with our son, aged 4. The location is fabulous, right in the centre of the coast, reaching all points by car very easily (30 min to Amalfi, 40 to Pompei, 50 to Positano). Although the house is up on the hill - with a spectacular view! - we could easily reach the village centre by 10 min walk. The place is very quite so perfect for families, the garden is very nice and big with plenty of room to run for the child. Unfortunatelly, we could not use the pool as the water was rather cold, normal for May, but for sure during the summer it would be perfect to take a bath, drink a glass in the garden and enjoy that spectacular view. We loved the owners who are very nice and eager to help and provide all necessary information and recommendation. Thank you! :) As a suggestion, a small playing area in the garden for the little ones would be great.

Review 22:Everything was perfect; only the roads to get there were quite narrow but manageable and well worth it.

Review 23:The location was perfect; beautiful views, not over run by tourists and excellent food and prices at the local stores. It is also close to Amalfi, pompeii, Ravelo and lots of other tourist attractions. The staff were so lovely and hospitable. Antonella gave us great advice on what to do and where to go. She made a delicious breakfast each morning including homemade cakes and omelettes. She welcomed us as friends.

Review 24:We had two single beds which were a bit on the narrow side.

Review 25:The staff were very friendly and eager to assist in any way. We also managed to practice our Italian with them!

Review 26:A perfect base for exploring the Amalfi coast! On our arrival we got a warm welcome and were equipped with hiking maps and tips to make the most of our stay. Delicious breakfast with home-made cakes as well as savoury options!

Review 27:the fact that if you do not mention a room with a balcony in the special requests even if booking writes it in the description of the room, you might not get one; it happened to us and to others as i heard , but the lady at the reception is very nice and changes it for you if another one is free, our stuff has been moved the next day into a room with balcony. The room is pretty cold in september and you might need to turn on the A/C on hot, otherwise you will freeze under the sheets because you get just one small duvet for a king size bed

Review 28:the view, the spacious and very clean rooms and the friendly staff, the quiet place (very rare on the amalfi coast), the fact that you have a parking lot in front of the house and the pizzeria nearby (excellent pizza)

Review 29:The view from the B&B is unreal. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fresh and well made. The B&B is only a short walk from the nearest town and buses run regularly to Amalfi and other adjoining towns.

Review 30:Would have been hard to find without sat nav-luckily we had one.

Review 31:Very friendly hosts, long reaching beautiful mountain views, delightful garden, very clean comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast with homemade baking. Amazing sea vistas 300 yards up the road. About a mile to the town.

Review 32:We want to thank again the staff for the warm welcoming and fantastic breakfast :) We had a wonderful time that 3 days spent in Agerola. We would come back in the future and definitely will choose Casa Pendola again :)

Review 33:Italian style family-run hotel - the four sisters will do the best are really happy to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Amazing view over a cliff and the sea with nice garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Clean and very cosy rooms. The breakfast is excellent - every day different very delicious homemade (by one one of the nice sisters) cakes and pies. If something you prefer is missing be sure the next day it will be there even though you only asked as a side remark if they have it. Coffee was amazing. They even organized a big package of coffee for us to bring home - the italian way of course - 5 people involved discussing and logisticing the delivery of the coffee which was waiting on sunday in our room. We would love to come back there and highly recommend it!

Review 34:Nothing

Review 35:Highly recommended stay in beautiful location. Felt like the real Italy, with the family operated Casa situated amongst a nice home fruit and vegetable farm. We were served fresh Blood Orange juice from their garden for breakfast. They even catered for my gluten free partner (senza glutine) by baking her a chocolate torte for breakfast. They kindly let us take away a large slice for our road trip :) we will be back

Review 36:nothing, it was perfect for us

Review 37:Very friendly hosts, relaxed atmosphere, you feel like at home! Beautiful views and delicious breakfest with home made cakes. We would love to stay longer. We recommend this place to anyone who looks for quiet place far from crowd. Fantastic view to the islands just 4 km from the house.

Review 38:We could have stayed longer.

Review 39:The view , and the amazing drive to this location. Staff were very accommodating and very helpful and even helping us order a delivery pizza for us. Breakfast was wonderful and the our stay there was very memorable

Review 40:Road to the hotel was narrow and a bit precarious. Absolutely no one there to book us in until we found the receptionist by the pool with her friends. Not what we wanted after a long hot drive. A mirror in the bedroom would be useful.

Review 41:The views are wonderful, very tranquil.beautiful grassy pool area with plenty of loungers/chairs overlooking the valley. Our room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast on the terrace was nice and reasonable choice.

Review 42:The family that runs Casa Pendola is the sweetest around and have excellent guest service. Their English is limited (it varies from person to person), but they will do anything they can to get you what you need. Our room was incredibly comfortable and very clean and had a terrace that overlooked their beautiful yard, garden, farm and the Mediterranean. The grounds there are gorgeous — vine-covered outdoor dining, relaxing seating by the pool, and when we were there, there were even some kittens running around! The breakfast features many cakes that the father said were freshly made every day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience excellent Italian hospitality.

Review 43:The fact that we had to leave! The dogs and the chickens of the village did take the place of traffic noise but, somehow, that contributed to the good feeling of the property.

Review 44:We were seeking a "refuge" from tourists following several days in frenetic Rome, and we found this "oasis" in the mountains, with lovely out-look and family friendly feel. The owners were wonderful and though language barriers exist, there was no issue with communicating. What a happy family!

Review 45:Nothing, it is a really great place!

Review 46:Casa Pendola is in a beautiful location. The house and rooms are kept perfectly tidy and clean. It is very modern and new. Antonella and family were very welcoming and helpful. Really enjoyed the stay, would recommend to anyone!

Review 47:Very nice new hotel just a few kms from Amalfi, beautiful panorama, helpful owners, very good price-value.

Review 62:קזה פנדולה מלון מישפחתי.החדרים נקיים ומפנקים הנוף פשוט מדהים מהחדרים המזרחים.יש בריכה נהדרת ארוחת בוקר אדירה ממלץ בחום

Review 63:Difficult to get to but very much worth it

Review 64:The views across Agerola, the lack of tourists, the hospitality of the staff, the modern style

Review 65:After 4 nights, that we couldn't stay longer :(

Review 66:Easy free parking. Amalfi coast can be extremely expensive. But Agerola resturaunts and bars are normal prices, and 1500m down hill. Pendola has a beautiful garden, bordered by vines and large tiered vegetable gardens, overlooking an equally beautiful valley. The staff, notably Antonella are friendly and helpful, and gave us all the local gen'.

Review 67:Nothing. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

Review 68:Location is perfect for hiking. View of Agerola is phenomenal. Antonella and her family are wonderful hosts. Breakfast is great, she will even make eggs. Wi-fi is strong and easy to use. Pool is wonderful. Grounds are beautiful with flowers, grape vines, and olive trees. . We will definitely be back.

Review 69:The place is ok if you have a car. By foot there is a walk to Agerola or Bomerano. But we had a car and are very satisfied.

Review 70:Fantastic place, very quite location with fantastic the view from balcony. Owners - super, we really appreciate especially for each guest made omlette, tea, coffe at the breakfast. Place near to start of Sentiero Degli Dei.

Review 71:We loved our stay at casa pendola! First thing that amazed us were clouds passing by the window! The view is great, rooms are clean and very nice, breakfast is good! It was easy to find casa pendola because of plenty of road signs on our way. Though the place is a bit far from major touristic cities like amalfi (20 mins drive) and positano (45mins drive), for us it was an outstanding opportunity to stay here. Firstly, there are some few really nice restaurants in this area with excellent kitchen and low prices. Secondly, we enjoyed the calm and peaceful Agerola and had so much pleasure to drive down the road to the sea with this spectacular views! Thank you!

Review 72:I don't know... There is no Electric coffee pot. So If they prepare it would be wonderful.

Review 73:Country view is really nice. Early morning sight was great like a fairy-tale. And lovery cat also good host :-) Defnatly I will get there again if I visit Agerola

Review 74:This was a truly beautiful place to stay. The drive in was rather nerve wracking and best done in daylight but we'll worth it. Wonderful views from our balcony, great hosts and delicious breakfast.

Review 75:location-far away from the beach

Review 76:clean room and bathroom, everything new. very nice patio with swimming pool. good breakfast with home made cakes, very nice and friendly staff.

Review 77:This family run B&B offers a very informal and friendly environment. The breakfast pastries are all home made by one of the sisters owning the place. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. You can see the sea from the porch of every room and from the pool area.

Review 78:We stayed there for a week. Lovely Hotel in a lovely place with great view and good weather. Good access to all interesting places around. Owners are with big hart and very caring. They helped us a lot with both trip instructions and with solving problems we've had. We enjoined a lot the home made cakes that was served with breakfast every morning. We have had a great experience staying in Casa Pendola and warmly recommend it!

Review 79:Some features of the room such not-working frigobar and slow running drain of the shower. Not a big od a deal though

Review 80:Professional and kind host. Clean and modern rooms with outstanding quality beds. Breakfast was the best ever had in all around the world hotels, outstandingly good home-made cakes. Beautiful view od the promontory around the area. Location is in the pros if you want to take the "sentiero degli dei" hike, in the cons if you want something close to the coast.

Review 81:Minimal breakfast Out of the city center you need to walk to the bus stop for 15-20 minutes and he leave once an hour or more to the Amalfi. But if you have a car and willing to drive it is very nice place

Review 82:Very clean and nice hotel Very quite Has free parking

Review 83:Wonderful rooms and view, delicious breakfast, kindness of the staff

Review 84:No phones in the rooms.

Review 85:Friendly staff, great views, good price, very clean rooms.
