Review 1:Swimming pool in the picture ilooks good, however small in reality. Breakfast soup is sugary. The tomato is not fresh. Breakfast staff is not enough in number. Front staff seems like apathetic.

Review 2:The junior suite is big can accomodate 4 people. Very big king size bed. Gym is not new but clean and fully equipped and well ventilated. Televison is good. 10 minutes walk to Nagoya Mall. The taxi driver is efficient and polite. A good advise: renovate minimally the wall painting.

Review 3:The place was not very clean. The towels, bedsheet and pillow case looked dirty. The hotel and its facilities were not as good as it was mentioned on the internet.

Review 5:Stay for 4d3n.. On the first night everything was smooth until the next day, staff ask me to pay for my son buffet breakfast who is only 6 yrs old. Stated in the website free breakfast for kids below 7 yrs. Had an argument with one of the staff and was told below 5 yrs old have to pay. Food wise, not much variety and late replenish.

Review 6:The hotel location is walking distance to nagoya mall and nearby to many other malls. Recommended for Grand deluxe room as there's balcony with swimming view.

Review 7:The hotel is a little bit old already. They didnt give out slippers, provided only shampoo, toothpaste etc for 1 person and two persons were checked in at the room.

The whole socket cn detacheable very loose n dangerous. Breakfast was not my expectation. Very fast food finish. They dont topup/replenish enough. Small space we have to q n wait for ppl to finish their meals.. waste of tym. Some family just laze inside n has finish eating. Bad service for me.. Swmg pool look big bt so small indeed.

Review 19:The lift was very small and squeezy and there was only 2 lifts and both were very small for a 4 star hotel. There were no towels provided in my room.i had to ask the staff for it.

Review 20:The facilities there was very good.like the sauna,steam bath, gym etc. Maybe you can put a game room like arcade or pool table for the kids to go to which would improve the activities for different ages.

Review 21:Safety lock was spoilt, was given a non smoking room instead of the smoking room I've already requested via booking.com, room service was late and the pool was dirty. To cap it off staffs were not trained well enough.

Review 26:The swimming pool is rather murky at the deeper end. Staffs failed to inform We booked 4 rooms for our stay. Though, rooms were booked 3 months ahead of check-in date, request were made to have the rooms on the floor and and next to each other in view of my wheel-chair bound mother. Emails were also sent in, a week before the check-in date. However, upon checking in, two of the rooms were very far apart.

Review 27:Friendly and warm staffs, clean corridors and though furnishings look old, they are very well-maintained. Upon checking in, staffs checked-in our luggage into the respective rooms for us as we headed straight for lunch. The corridor is carpeted, long and wide, plenty rooms aside each other. Housekeeping staffs very prompt. There is a convenient store about 2 blocks away but be wary when going out as the streets aren't brightly lited. Mum and Dad were very happy that staffs helped them up without even seeking their assistance. A good short 5 minutes drive to Nagoya Mall. A good stay we had on overall. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others. Well worth money spent here, seriously!!!!

Review 28:Swimming pool & whirlpool were so dirty & yucky. Pictures are definitely deceiving.Breakfast was disappointing, Slow top-up, less varieties & had to queue for food. Not up-to standard for a 4 star hotel.

Review 35:The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Changed the room for us when the air con is not working. The hotel manager even gave us a late check out and a complimentary van to harbour bay ferry terminal. Easy access to the malls.

Review 36:As the adv hotel have some improvements due to renovation. Anyway the hotel gave me the old room. After complaining the change with new room ( been renovated ) after a while they call me saying that i might get distrub due to upper room being renovated. And promising gave the same room. The staff came and gave the key im asked why, he said your room perhaps request by others guess because of connecting room . Well i said fine. And i move to others room. The new room not as good as the previous room. Well i said why they make something hiding. Overall hotel was way dropping then a few years ago.

This was my first time having a bad service! i will never come back to this hotel !

Review 49:Bed not comfortable. Only iron was provided to us upon request & no iron board was provided since it was not available. Upon checkout, we were told that we has consume Evian water when it was not made available in the room upon check-in. At 8am staff was slow in refilling of breakfast buffet. When asked for butter, staff mentioned that it has finished.

Review 59:1. Confirmation stated that I will be able to check in at 2pm. I requested for early check in via online but there was no reply. When I was at the hotel at 1:30pm, I was told that I will only be able to check in at 2pm. However, I waited till 2:20pm and was still unable to check in. When I walked towards the staffs who were chit chatting away at the counter to approach them, they pretended to look busy. When asked why I am still not able to check in, one of them said "even though the confirmation stated 2pm, it is still subjected to room availability." What do you mean subjected to availability?! So if there is no room available even though I have made my booking, I will not get to stay there? When a room is booked, it means that it is available for that period of stay. Shouldn't the hotel staff be preparing for the arrival of the customer so that they do not have to waste their time waiting? The rooms were in bad condition, including the toilet. The towels has foul smell too. I will never return to that hotel again.

Review 61:The wallpaper of the room looks dirty and it was noisy during the night due to the loud vehicles moving around as the roadway is just infront of the hotel.

Review 62:Was disappointed with the room that I checked in. Poorly maintained & there's no mini freezer when it was supposed to have, told by the staff that it was spoiled. They should have not release the room with incomplete facilities to paying guests.. Had to upgrade to a different room with additional cost. Stayed here before and was happy with it but not this time.

Review 68:Booking.com provide insufficient and false information about the room's type and function. We have booked 2 rooms of the junior suite to facilitate room merging as details from booking.com stated specifically that only junior suite allows that. When we reached the hotel, we were disappointed as the staffs highlighted that no junior suite able to do that but the normal rooms. We were then asked to pay junior suite's cost and where in actual rate, the normal room cost cheaper; just for the merging room facilities. Wrong information that leads a commotion and delay in checking in. Hate it!

Review 71:the decor is outdated and there is this smell of old stale carpet in the floor where the rooms are mostly a combination of ciggarette smoke. the lights in the hallways are dimmer.

Although our check in time was assigned at 10am as per agreement in our emails exchange before the trip, I reached the hotel at 8am+. Hotel staff gladly check us in although we were too early. Review 98:The hotel swimming pool was a huge disappontment. It look so grand and cozy from the photo but it was like a deserted claustrophobic area. It was so turn off that i didnt even want to dip in the pool. I stayed at the second floor and their lobby's lighting is pretty dip and extremely quiet. Felt creepy when i first got there. The bed sheet was rather rough and the towel looks pretty old and yellowish. There were a extreme shortage of power socket. You plug in the lights, tv and water heater, there's none left for your charger or speaker and etc.

Review 99:The king size bed is rather huge and it was more comfortable when the sheets got changed on the second day. Its pretty eco cause there are tags with instructions to let the cleaners know u wanna change your sheet and towel etc. (like putting the tag on the bed or throwing your towel in the bathtub). There are a lot of channels. Despite not being able to dip in the pool, my friend and i were entertained by the various movies on the different channels. The location is good, if you're not planning to head to the sea side. It is very near to their attraction mall, Nagoya Hill and one of the ferry terminal.

Review 117:The service of the hotel reception has a lot of room for improvement. We were not allowed to check in before 2.00pm but we did not get our rooms until 3.15pm. When requested for a late check out, we have to argue a lot before granted 1 hour extension.

Review 119:The room was horrible - the shower tap was rusty (bathing in rust is not part of the plan), the "new" toothbrush looks like it has been used, the bed sheet looks ancient and the towels were dusty. We barely slept the whole night.

Review 124:Location, you will be able to walk to Nagoya Shopping Mall (abt 15mins walk)~~ Cab fare frm Mega Mall to Goodway Hotel abt IDR75,000. Cab fare from Nagoya Shopping Mall to Mega Mall abt IDR85,000. (Gud to travel with group of friends) Svc was relatively ok, they will deduct IDR300,000 for deposit (refundable). Only suitable for ppl who was not fussy at all.. Though, I'm not a fussy person at all.. Try it if you dare.. Haha.. :]

Review 125:Not much things to do in Batam. The only place near to the hotel is Nagoya Hill. But it's dangerous to walk / crossing the road. We have to spend a lot on transportation fees to other places. And it is way too expensive. The hotel is old but they are upgrading the rooms. The breakfast are bad. The signal of WIFI is bad, we can't connect to Internet at all.

Really good deal. - For steak lovers, Goodway hotel is located near to Grill factory which offers really good & cheap steak.

Review 139:1)Mosquito inside the room2)the aircon was not cold. Throughout my sleep everyone is sweating at night. Inform the maintenance just drop by & check. The aircon is still the same. 3)range of breakfast are limited.
