Reviews for Hotel Kamari
Review 1:Large comfortable room with balcony looking down to the very pretty harbour. Good cheap restaurants and cafes. Great bus service around Sifnos. Our favourite island.
Review 2:Absolutely the best accommodation that we had during our two week vacation at Cyclades; main reasons were probably the most friendly service, and also reasonable price compared the hotel and room standarts; everything was in order as it should. Sarah was a nice, helpful and friendly person who also spoke very good english (which we found is very useful, compared to some of our previous destinations). Kamari-region is a peaceful and nice location to accommodate, and we liked the whole Sifnos most on our island-hopping!
Review 3:Everything was great!
Review 4:We got to Sifnos on friday morning and went to Stavros hotel, There we saw nice Sarah and she managed to get us a lift to Kamari hotel. When we got there we got a very warm wellcoming from Alex, that was kind enough to give us a choise between the room we've booked (with a mountain view) or a lower floor room but with a sea view. Bouth rooms were amazingly beautiful, we've desided to choose the room with the sea view. After she showed us a map and gave us tips were we should visit in the island. All of our stay time in Kamari hotel was very nice. The location is great, room was very big ,clean and comfortable. And the housepitality was the big bounos! Definatly comming back there. Can't wait :)
Review 5:View to the mountains and other Hotels, not of the bay.
Review 6:Kitchen well equipped, helpful staff, good air condition, prolonging our stay for one more night was'nt a problem.
Review 7:Everything was OK. The hotel is in the outskirts of Kamares, but within walking distance (just 200 m from Hotel Stavros, also runned by the same family).
Review 8:Wide rooms with all kind of ammenities, in a Cycladic style family-run hotel. Quiet place (you wake up with bird songs in the morning :)), and the staff are lovely people. Alex is a great person, always committed to help you. And just to give you a snapshot of how well you feel at a family-run hotel like this one, when I came back to rest after a walking day (do not miss Apokofto beach, in Cryssopigi :)), the grandma (Mamma Stavros) brought me a big cup of fruits with honey, as if I was one of his grandsons :). Definitely, I strongly recommend this hotel and you will probably find me there in June or September each year :), since Sifnos is a magnific and still authentic Cycladic island.
Review 9:Nothing.
Review 10:Kitchen with a lot of tools. clean and confortable room. Wifi working without problem. Nice balcony. Staff more than nice. Approx 700 meters from port (easy to walk, even with laguages). Near restaurants and car rental offices.
Review 11:We had booked to stay in Hotel Kamari, but actually were put up in the Hotel Stavros as it was late season and Hotel Kamari had closed for the season. The hotel, as it turned out, was in a much better position, right at the waterfront and we had wonderful sea views from the rooms! The balconies were a little small but the this was made up for my the size of the rooms!! My friends were in a large family room with two bedrooms and enough beds to sleep seven people in total!! The catering facilities were fantastic and as we were coming to the end of an island hopping holday, the laundry facilities were an added bonus! Beach towels were also provided for customers use. Nothing was too much trouble for Stavros and Sarah and their family. We had a delightful stay at this lovely hotel!
Review 12:Our stay was too short.
Review 13:Stayed here 13 & 11years ago on spec but when I booked thru Booking.Com didn't realise it was the same one. On booking received a welcoming email with directions to sister hotel by ferry where the owner gave us a lift to Kamari. The older lady was still there and kept us supplied us with daily home made cake. Although hotel was good before it has just been refurbished and is excellent. Balcony looked out at harbour and beach. Very big room, everything spotless. Staff were always very friendly and helpful, even when you met them In the street. Location is only a short walk from town and beach and bus stops right outside. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Look forward to next visit.
Review 14:The rooms were not so clean when we arrived. Also the cleaner didn't tidy up the bed every day. The room was on the 3rd floor and we had to carry our luggage to the room. Also the room was looking at the mountain and not at the sea, so there was no view at all. Last, there was no cover at the balcony so the morning coffee was combined with sunbathing.
Review 15:The rooms were really cosy. They were refurbished and it looked like new. The price was one of the best of all Sifnos. The owners were friendly. While the location is not good, you can walk from and to the port, so there is no need to pay taxi to get to thhe hotel.
Review 16:Everything was great! There was nothing we did not like !
Review 17:Fabulous hosts!!! Many thanks especially to Miss Evaggelia for the great customer service! They were all very welcoming and always very helpfull! The room was lovely and always clean with a great view to the sea, as expected! Many many thanks to the team of the kamari hotel for the fabulous and attentive host!!! Vaya - Panos
Review 18:On the main street so everything very handy. Was met and returned to the port. Free use of a large communal kitchen where free tea and coffee were provided to use at any time. Room and bed was clean with a nice view of the hills and sea. Very good value
Review 19:Balcony chairs were too big for the space and it was a bit crowded
Review 20:So in keeping with the wonderful island and it's character.
