Reviews for Villa Areto
Review 1:Ad said 300mts from port. It was more like 700 mts & when wheeling 2+ bags it was too far. After walking about 300 mts a nice shopkeeper called the owner & he arrived promptly to take us the rest of the way.
Review 2:Very clean & quiet. Fairly close to the water. Lots of room. Very comfortable bed. Sunny balcony.
Review 3:The long walk from the port, do call reception to come pick you up.
Review 4:Very tasteful decoration with a true feel of Sifnian tradition. Very helpful staff.
Review 5:Our family of four stayed for 6 days while on vacation on the island of sifnos. The location owners and staff were absolutely the most wonderful people. Helping us with getting around the town and just generally being wonderful friendly hosts.
Review 6:Not that easy to locate, if it is your first time. A sign by the road would have done it! Poor wifi signal even in the lobby, we couldn´t use it at all in our room.
Review 7:Me and my travel partner really had a good stay in this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, great basic breakfast and very clean rooms. The hotel is a bit different - with a positive outcome! The double room we got was really cosy and home-like and we slept as babies in there. Bathroom was top notch, with high standards in finish. Included kitchen in the hall way was a big plus. Wonderful balcony with side sea view. Highly recommended place to stay!
Review 8:Nothing of note
Review 9:Yiannis was very good and quickly changed our room when the electricity would not work. The bed had a comfortable mattress topper on, much more comfortable than the usual Greek bed. The rooms are a little out of the village, but a pleasant walk across the back of the beach. The breakfasts which were included, were good and plentiful. Yiannis drove us down to the ferry dock, which was very helpful. There was no problem in paying with our debit card, a problem we encountered in both our other two hotels where the machines were "broken"
Review 10:Location of our room
Review 11:Coming into the lobby/breakfast room is like coming into someone’s home. A lot of things everywhere. The owners are a bit distanced, not unfriendly though. The room we got was on the ground floor and on the corner. Everybody coming or leaving the hotel passed our room and "balcony". So we did feel we were a kind of an exhibition object from time to time. The style of the hotel is kind of shabby chic style with canopy bed. So if you like this style this is a hotel for you. The breakfast is rather good for a hotel with this standard. But the breakfast room can feel a bit crowdie. We weren't offered any transportation from or to the port. I reckon if we had asked they would have. Walking to town takes you about 10-15 minutes. The hotel is located in a quiet area and the beds gives good sleeping quality
Review 12:The location was good. Walking distance to the centre of Kamares. Fantastic apartment/studio with one very big balcony and one small. .Wonderful view over the bay and the sunset. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. I would very much like to stay there again!
Review 13:It is a bit far from the port, but upon request, they will pick you up by car. The wifi is available only in the lobby and breakfast area, not in the rooms. As often in Greece, the sanitaries and shower were defectuous, but they made their best efforts to repair the water leaks (although they should have done the repair prior to my arrival). The old-style furniture is very nice, but not very convenient for practical use.
Review 14:A kind of traditional, family atmosphere has been preserved in this place. The staff are very nice and helpful and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of very good quality products.
Review 15:Nothing actually!
Review 16:Hospitality of the owners Location 5mn walk from the Kamares beach Size of the room Clean room Air conditionning Great breakfast Shower working fine Owners offering a gift and driving us to the port for our ferry Place to hang our wet bathing suits

Review 32:Romantic room decoration, with an open balcony and a nice view over Kamares bay. Very clean room, all day hot water and great breakfast. The owners were very welcoming and treated us with sincere hospitality. Felt like home!
Review 33:Stayed in two rooms, both of which had plumbing problems. The room furniture is cute but not very practical. I had to put my bags on a couch for lack of other options. It's a bit far if you need to walk to it carrying luggage.
Review 34:- I did not like the room at all. I was expecting a nice room something that did not happen. The room was unclean, old, with minimum natural light. - Pictures in booking seems much nicer than they are in reality.
Review 35:- I like the breakfast - Personnel was very friendly
Review 36:our bed was rather uncomfortable, mattress was rather tired. Staff could have been friendlier.
Review 37:Rooms were tastefully decorated, rooms were kept spotless. Breakfast was excellent with lots of local products.
Review 38:It had no pool, which would be desirable after a long day at the beach.
Review 39:Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, with partial views and close to the beach and port. Very quiet.
Review 40:everything was about perfect!
Review 41:hotel near to the sandy beach, rooms comfortable and big new bathroom, very clean, great view, very nice breakfast and the owners are very helpful and friendly
Review 42:Very nicely furnished rooms. Lovely views from balcony of mountains and sea. Good breakfasts on terrace. Polite and friendly staff. Owner took us to the boat in his car.
Review 43:- Absolutely nog complaints what so ever.
Review 44:- Excellent breakfast with all sorts of home made cheese, fruits, yoghurt, eggs, etc. Allthough the 'normal' breakfast was very well, the owner had some extra's almost every day.- very helpfull staff (brought us to the ferry, had no problem with a late check-out). - beautiful location: very close to the beach and the restaurants but quiet and with a fantastic view over the sea, the fieldt and the mountains. - place was kept very clean: change of towels almost every day. - huge balcony with magnificant view. - value for money!
