Reviews for Nido Verde
Review 1:Nothing :)
Review 2:Very nice rooms and exceptional staff !! Free parking. Easy enough drive to the amalfi coast. An affordable alternative to staying on the amalfi coast. The breakfast was AMAZING. THE BEST EVER! Made with lots of love and care and straight from the garden. As well as coffee and juice it was everything you could want. We were really impressed with it and the kind man happily showed us his garden and let us eat all kinds of fruits from it. Thank you so much :)
Review 3:The windy road to get to Nido Verde (which is inevitable to avoid) is not ideal if someone gets motion sickness. The distance to the coast felt longer than anticipated .
Review 4:Roberto was an extremely helpful and resourceful host. Geraldo was sweet and engaging despite his limited english. He was so proud to show off his garden , horse and chickens. Nothing was too much to ask of them. When there was an issue with hot water or wifi Roberto rectified it immediately. The room was spotless and within steps of the Path of the Gods- an added bonus and a must do adventure. The community is quaint, local pizza good.
Review 5:No complain, I wish to go back.
Review 6:Friendly environment, helpful staff, good location near fantastic trail heads though difficult if you want to be at the beach everyday. Fresh organic produce at breakfast and great Italian coffee.
Review 7:It must be said that Agerola is a quiet place, don't book here expecting a party but it does make a great base to explore.
Review 8:The kindest hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting. nothing was too much trouble and the home grown produce from Gerrado's garden was delicious, so much of the other food is local produce. Good parking and a cheap (2-3 euro pp each way) 30-40min shuttle down to Amalfi where we then got the public boat to Positano. so much cheaper and easier than fighting the locals on tight roads let alone the crazy parking costs in those towns. Roberto booked and recommended great things to do and saved us money and hassle, even getting a local restaurant (with heavanly views of the coast) to come and pick us up from the hotel! We unreservedly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
Review 9:This family-runned hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! The owner Gerardo is beautiful. He lives hospitality at its best! Within minutes he made us feel like familymembers! Our stay in Gerardo´s hotel was the most beautiful experience during our one-week-trip through italy! we´ll never forget our stay and we promised to come over again and again. The hotel is beautiful situated in a tiny village near amalfi coast! Behind the hotel you´ll find a garden with a horse stable and a chicken house. The horse is beautiful. Next to the house Gerardo has a large orchard and a vegetable garden. The breakfast is large and offers a wide range of delicious and healthy homemade food from Gerardo´s own garden. Baguette with chopped tomatoes and basil was amazing! Self-made cake was brilliant! The hotel facilities are all in good condition. The rooms interior is tastful arranged. The rooms are very clean. The bathroom offers generous space. Our stay was only 1 night but with Gerardo´s great recommendations we found a great restaurant for dinner nearby and discovered a marvelous lookout point with a stunning view over amalfi coast! For Gerardo´s hotel 10 points are not enough. Nido verde B&B is superb and one-of-a-kind! Best hotel ever!
Review 10:No AC but it wasnt really needed when we were there
Review 11:The family owning the accommodation was amazing. The breakfast was perfect. The father of fransesco made fresh breakfast every morning with stuff from their own yard. Rooms were nice. And the village wasnt super tourist like.
Review 12:We had the most amazing time at Nido Verde, Roberto and his father Geraldo are the kindest people you could meet. They will do anything to help you and we instantly felt at home. Geraldo's baking is exceptional and so we very much looked forward to breakfast. The garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Thank you so much and we look forward to staying at Nido Verde again! Matt & Jess x
Review 13:None
Review 14:Roberto and his family were all very friendly and helpful. It was the cleanest B&B I have ever seen. We had their homemade wine, delicious bruschettas and cakes. Everything was so fresh.
Review 15:Be aware that the closest access to any beach is via the road to Amalfi that is 40 minutes of hairpin turns over cliffs. We learned to like it, but it is an acquired taste. You must like hiking too, as this village is located up in the mountain among the most beautiful hills.
Review 16:Roberto was an excellent host. He gave us daily itenaries that we followed to the letter.
Review 17:We just wished we could stay longer.
Review 18:Roberto and His farther Geraldo were totally wonderful and made our stay like being in their home. We love the local breakfast with home made produce and yummy cake. The room was terrific and they provided all the information we needed.
Review 19:There was nothing that we didn't like about this stay.
Review 20:Roberto was by far the friendliest and most helpful host than anywhere we have stayed. His father Geraldo whipped up the most delicious tasty food that we have eaten anywhere.
Review 21:Very gentle n kind owner n chef. Clean n lovely room^^ Just get on the bus from amalfi coast to Agerola n get off at 'bomerano' stop^^ the B&B is right there at the stop^^
Review 22:This is a family run hotel.Roberto is a charming host and his father Gerardo is fantastic in the kitchen. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable.Loved our stay
Review 23:We liked everything about Nido Verde,Roberto the owner could not have helped us more and Geraldo is a great cook.We will definitely visit Nido Verde again as it was such a great five star experience
Review 24:Nothing can go wrong here.
Review 25:The owners are fab- Roberto, Gerrardo, Inga. And what cakes! Delicious. The eggs from the home chicken is fantastic too. Everything about the place is top class- the ambience, location, the hosts. And the daily tips from Roberto made our trip very fruitful and worthwhile. While bidding bye we and Gerrardo had tears in our eyes which can only be possible if there is so much love! Will always go back here and send our friends and family too.
Review 26:Nothing. Seriously: if you want a quiet, relaxing village stay with the whole Amalfi Coast within an hour's reach, this is the place to go.
Review 27:Roberto (and his chef father) is a perfect host, endlessly helpful and attentive. The rooms are modern (many power outlets!), squeaky clean, comfortable and functional, with fantastic breakfast every day. The location is excellent, a quiet and relaxed and 200% authentic Italian village with local produce, and incredible hiking trails in immediate vicinity.
Review 28:Owner Gerardo and his sons are lovely hosts. While it was pouring outside we had a nice breakfast including Gerardo’s latest invention: a delicious uva fragola cake. When we were about to leave for the Sentiero degli dei (only a couple of minutes away) and it was still raining, he gave us a rain cape to keep us dry.
Review 29:Two young men run this hotel; their father is the chef. Lovely people, very helpful, great chatting with them. One of them recommended a restaurant around the corner where we had an excellent meal. Great art reproductions in the rooms. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful value.
Review 30:The bus ride between Agerola and Amalfi (or anywhere along the coast) can be little nauseating for some but I got used to it after a couple of days.
Review 31:I stumbled upon this bed and breakfast after all of the better accommodations in Positano were booked. The owners took care of me as if I was part of their family. I missed the last bus up to Agerola (it was Sunday) and got picked up from Amalfi late in the evening after making a desperate call to Nido Verde (a cab ride up is very expensive). Breakfast in the morning was delicious and authentic and the father of the family made sure all the guests were smiling and laughing. My room was very clean and large and featured a private balcony. One of the best features of the location is that it is right at the beginning of the Path of the Gods (which I didn't know about until I arrived) and this was one of the highlights of my trip (even though I am not an avid hiker). This particular bed and breakfast is perfect for those who are looking for a more real Amalfi coast experience and are looking to relax in addition to visit the must see places. Personally, I spent one day just roaming around Agerola and sitting at a cafe watching the locals sing and play cards with not a tourist in sight (a priceless memory). I would say that what made my experience here stand out (beyond the quality of the accommodation itself) is the family who owns and runs Nido Verde. The two brothers go completely out of their way to ensure their guests are taken care of and have a well-stocked itinerary (they even took me horseback riding!) and the father of the house...well, he is a character that I will never forget :)
Review 32:This B&B really made us feel at home! Very friendly staff and great breakfast. They noticed that it was my birthday and gave me a bottle of local wine as present - a pleasant surprise! The location is perfect - a few minutes away from the trail head of "path of God". Simply great!
Review 33:Bomerano would not be a first choice for going to the beach, since it is so high up.
Review 34:We arrived in the evening and left early in the morning, but this was enough to confirm that the other reviews are not exaggerating anything. The owners are friendly and caring, breakfast was a delight (especially cake with figs), the location is convenient for coming by car and returning by bus, there are also shops and restaurants nearby.
Review 35:Everybody was very helpful. Good location to do the walk of the gods. Easy access to Amalfi and Pompei. Breakfasts were really good! Thank you very much!
Review 36:In an ideal location, and a very high standard of accomodation this is the ideal place to enjoy Bomarano. We enjoyed the village lfe as much as the tourist locations nearby. The family that own and operate Nido Verdi could not be more helpful, welcoming or caring. They noticed and celebrated my daughters birthday. Each breakfast is a social occasion. Highly recommended.
Review 37:Nothing
Review 38:What a fantastic find. This hotel was great value for money. It's located off the coast in the hills above amalfi, away from the crowds. The rooms are simple but spotless with all you need & the father/sons combination that own & run the hotel are extremely friendly, helpful & hospitable. Cannot recommend enough!
Review 39:The B&B is opposite a main road and is noisy sometimes but not at night. I would go there again in a heartbeat. For us the most important thing on holiday is to eat locally and you won't be disappointed there but if you want to see night life of want a lively town center at night and you're not prepared to make a drive for it then it might not be the best place to stay for you.
Review 40:We've had a truly great time at Nido Verde. Good room, free wifi, good location in the village, and the breakfast was a feast each morning and nothing like I've seen before in the 8 years I've visited Italy. Everything fresh, homegrown or locally bought. Exceptionally nice people with great suggestions of things to do. If you want to experience true Italian food and want to eat locally you are in the right spot. At night we've eaten in the village because we've found it to much hassle drive to another town and there was a local restaurant that we really liked. We've had a great time and I don't want to change a thing but for us a car was necessary. The busses to the popular towns are always full en there's a lot of waiting involved. We found it not difficult to drive but you have to keep in mind that the drive may be long, not in distance but in time because there are many bends in the road and you are up a mountain. The B&B is a 2 minute walk from the start of the 'Path of the Gods' which was excellent and postcard worthy views!
Review 41:Just off a road and therefore some traffic noise-but this is bearable.
Review 42:The hosts-amazing, lovely, friendly and helpful. Lovely light, clean and comfortable room and bathroom was a really good size. Breakfast was home cooked and fab to have such personal touches-yogurt and cakes were scrummy, fresh fruit and plenty if you wanted more! Wifi available. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We visited a local restaurant (recommended by the hosts) a short drive away, where the view was breath-taking and the food delicious. Definitely want to go back, we were sad to leave.
Review 43:There is not one single thing I could find fault with.
Review 44:Everything. I'd consider myself a well-seasoned traveller and I have never enjoyed staying somewhere as much - ever! Itinerary advice, recommendations for places to eat, availability of bicycles, the food, comfortable, quiet room, the hospitality of Alessandro and Geraldo: I cannot recommend Nido Verde highly enough. Just go.
Review 45:This beautiful and traditional BB is a fantastic base for seeing everything that the area has to offer. The bus from Almafi even stops outside. The family can't do enough for you and Ginaro's breakfast is wonderful if not unique. I would highly recommended this BB.
Review 46:Friendly, hospitable and excellent. Gerardo is an excellent cook using veg from his own garden much of the time and both Roberto and Alessandro were beyond helpful. I can't recommend this wonderful place enough!!
Review 47:We received a wonderful, friendly and professional welcome from Roberto, Alessandro and Gerardo. A excellent stay away from the crowds and traffic in Positano and Amalfi yet still accessible with all close by. Food especially CAKES amazing.
Review 48:Windy road up from the coast road , Otherwise no faults at all
Review 49:Superb rural location, personal service and really helpful and friendly hosts. Breakfast was wonderful with excellent custard pies and chocolate tort. Local restaurant recommended-and was superb At start of hiking trail well worth a stop over-away from the tourist trail but a taste of the real Italy .A haven and a great start to our holiday Would return Many thanks
Review 50:no air con in rooms, got quite stuffy at night.
Review 51:homemade breakfast using local produce- freshly picked courgettes from the garden for example! Roberto was v.helpful- arranged a local restaurant to collect us for dinner on our last night, and they dropped us home after a fabulous meal. great location for the path of the gods hike- a must do.
Review 52:The warm hospitality and kindness extended by Roberto and Geraldo was the highlight of our trip! Clean and very cute room with excellent facilities! The breakfast was sumptuous!! And they were so helpful with everything, from our itinerary to dropping off us at the bus stop at 6 am!! Loved everything about our trip and the location is perfect, away from the city nested in the mountains!! Would highly recommend Nido Verde to everyone!
Review 53:Nothing to not like!
Review 54:A fantastic, friendly welcome from Roberto and his father Gerardo. Wonderful breakfast, including excellent home made cake by Gerardo! A great base for us to visit Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius (we had a car), Capri and walk the Path of the Gods down to Positano. Easy to access Amalfi and neighbouring towns by bus. Excellent daily advice from Roberto for organising our day trips, as well as superb 'extra' customer service such as arranging a pick up/drop off to a local restaurant one evening and a taxi rescue from Amalfi when we missed the last bus! (We originally booked 2 nights and stayed for 4!)
Review 55:Food and hospitality was fantastic
Review 56:No bad experiences.
Review 57:Great location in the mountains. The helpfulness, warmth, and hospitality of Roberto and his family were exceptional.
Review 58:Thanks Roberto, it was wonderful. Nicole & Hans
Review 59:Is it really easy to find B&B, the breakfast is amazing and the personal is very kind. I allways will remember the fantàstic fig tarte!
Review 60:Nothing it was perfect.
Review 61:The owners were so lovely and accommodating. The area is beautiful and quiet, yet close to all the main tourist attractions.
Review 62:Nothing, we extended our stay
Review 63:Agerolo allows easy access to the Amalfi Coast. The walk to Portifino was exceptional.
Review 64:Friendly people, excellent service, wonderful breakfast and great location.
Review 65:Breakfast, hospitality, cosy rooms, quiet place, personal touch
Review 66:Very personnal appproach from the owner's making you feel very welcome, very good location, nice breakfast with homemade products
Review 67:Small shower room
Review 68:Great location
Review 69:Lovely lovely people
Review 70:Stay was too short!
Review 71:Reception by the owner operators and assistance to check-in and get settled etc.
Review 72:Mattresses are a bit hard
Review 73:Perfectly located, breakfast made and served with great care, friendly owners. We really enjoyed staying here.
Review 74:Pretty much everything
Review 75:Hospitality, friendly athmosfere, excelent position for hiking and axploring Amalfi Coast, domestic food..
Review 76:We loved the location, Roberto and his family were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was amazing and Agerola was beautifuland the Path of the Gods was breathtaking we loved it and would recommend Nido Verde to anyone
Review 77:In my personal opinion I think the mattress in Andy Warhol room needs a mattress topper so one does not feel the springs...yet I slept just fine.
Review 78:Roberto and his Dad were fantastic hosts. They made you feel like part of the family and were very professional and friendly. Dad bakes great cakes and makes a delicious breakfast each morning. Roberto serves a great cappuccino too.
Review 79:The Amalfi coast is simply the most enjoyable place I know to gowalking in spectacular 4000 foot mountains whilst never being far froma swim, supplies of water, wine, parmesan, fresh bread, fruit, and thecompany of cheerful, helpful people. This was my second visit - on thefirst, with my family, over a period of a week or so I grew to actuallyenjoy walking up and down ancient, often superbly engineered steps tovillages like Pogerola, Pontone, Ravello, Atrani, Positano, returningby bus or boat, both of which are reasonably frequent - this is noplace to bother with a car. This second time, I've hiked on my own,and staying at Nido Verde has been perfect. Roberto, Alessandro andGerardo have all been really enjoyable company in spite of my limitedItalian, and very helpful - details on how to get from Naples airportto Bomerano by bus (7 euros or so), weather info every day, free use ofa bike - I never had any problems, but it was invaluable to know theywere a phone call away. Breakfasts were great - all home-made, lots offresh produce from the garden. Looking forward to going back - I couldhappily explore this coast for weeks - always new paths, incredibleviews, places to watch the world go by, cultivated terraces inimpossible places, lemon groves, wafts of rosemary, bougainvillea. NidoVerde is two minutes away from the famous 'walk of the gods',but there are lots of other hikes of equal excitement - I especiallyenjoyed a day walking up to Pontone from Amalfi, along to Torre dellaZiro and back, then down to Atrani for a swim.
Review 80:Nothing! If you visit Sydney, please contact us! Jenna & winston.
Review 81:Our stay at Nido Verde was absolutely brilliant. The family running the hotel are so friendly & went out of their way to assist us wherever they could. They even drove us to the local bus stop. The rooms are clean & comfortable & breakfast was AMAZING! We also loved being out of the tourist towns by the sea & up in the mountains. The local restaurants served amazing home made pasta/pizza at a much cheaper cost. This hotel/village was a highlight. Definitely recommended.
Review 82:The location is perfect for the Footpath of the Gods hike, and the area is much less crowded than neighbouring Amalfi or Positano. It's a very relaxing place, and the staff were excellent. They can give you advice on any place you want to visit, public transport timetables, places of interest, where to eat etc...The breakfast is really good, made by an ex-pastry chef with fresh ingredients from his garden. The icing on the cake was when I had to get a bus to leave on a Sunday, and it didn't come. The next bus was 5 hours later. Instead of letting me wait around, one of the owners drove me to the train station 20 minutes away. All round great place, can't fault it.
Review 83:Excelent location on Amalfy coast, aside from crowds on the hill, but not far from the seaside, close to restaurants, bus stop, little main square and to Path of Gods. In the same time quiet place. Private parking next to house. Beautiful rooms and facility with relaxing terrace for breakfast. Spacy shower and very well running WI-FI also in the room. It is family run B&B, all family members really nice and friendly and offer the best care we experienced during our round trip in Italy. Fresh local products from own garden and from village neigbours are served for breakfast. We liked our stay very much and would recommend it to all our friends. Andrea and Roman
Review 84:We loved everything about Nido Verde!
Review 85:Best place we stayed on our trip around Italy! The staff were so nice and helpful, organising last minute travel for us, great advice on what to do in Agerola and surrounds, and provided an amazing breakfast of homemade cakes, bread, proscuitto, tomatoes from their own garden and cappuccinos. The room was so clean, modern bathroom, great towels, little private patio, comfy bed and great wi fi! Close to the bus stops to both Amalfi and Naples. Great being in the mountains and experiencing true Italian way of life, we were very lucky and were in town while the Agerola World Music Festival was on! So glad now we chose to stay at Nido Verde instead of Positano or Amalfi....we did not want to leave!
Review 86:Surprisingly, I can't think of anything that was disappointing. Wehad planned to stay for three days and we extended it to five.
Review 87:Family owned. Roberto, his father Gerardo, and his brother Allesandrowere all very friendly and accommodating. All speak English. The hotelis more like a big B&B than a hotel. It is the original familyproperty and a small apartment building renovated into a hotel in 2007.Great garden. Good breakfast--Gerardo is a retired pastry chef and hecooks pastries and bread for the guests every day. The hotel is close toeverything in the little town of Bomerano (restaurants, markets, etc). The bus stops right out front. Hiking trails, including the Trail of theGods, start just up the street. Amalfi and Positano are only a 20 minutedrive or bus ride. Bomerano is quiet and inexpensive and much lesscommercialized in contrast to those two glittering jet-set town on thewater. Looking for peace, nature, and reasonable prices on the AmalfiCoast and Monti Lattari region? This is it. The property is even part ofthe EcoWorldHotel association dedicated to sustainability.
Review 88:The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly - from Roberto to his father, Gennaro. Well located, close to the starting point of the Sentiero degli Dei trail. Breakfast was fantastic, and it included home made Sicilian cannoli (baked by Gennaro, a former baker), fresh bread from a local bakery and family-produced olive oil. Clean and comfortable rooms. Free parking included.
Review 89:It is in town so you can hear traffic from the room
Review 90:Roberto was charming -nothing was too much-his hospitality knew nolimits Like wise his parents were charming -Geraldo showed us his gardenand cooked fresh bread, lemon cake and lemon biscuits for breakfast theyare situated on the Walk of the Gods so ideal for walkers lovely viewsof the mountains -a welcome break from Positano great restaurant forhome made pizza at the back of the B'B-Roberto's recommendation
Review 91:Nothing - everything was perfect!
Review 92:Unlike no other place we have ever stayed. Everything about our 5-night stay was perfect! The rooms are spacious, clean and ecologically friendly. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the linen is fresh. We had the best sleep here that we have had on our travels. Our room had a little balcony which was super cute. The bathrooms are clean and the towels are large and soft! The room has air-conditioning and heating if needed, and although it was cold at night and hot during the day these things were not required as the hotel has adequate ventilation with windows. The staff is so hospitable, they go out of their way to assist you in any way possible. The son and owner, Roberto, who has fantastic English and is able to assist and provide you with any information you may require, greeted us. His mother and father made the most delicious cakes for breakfast. The breakfast provided was utterly divine – everything is fresh, fresh bread from the local bakery, and other produce from their garden out the back. You are welcome to look at their garden, which is a fresh produce’s lovers dream. The Wi-Fi worked fine within our room. The location in Agerola is easily accessible and away from the hustle and bustle of Positano and Amalfi. The B&B is a short walk from the bus station coming from Napoli and the bus station to Napoli is across the road. Each day, there are frequent buses to Napoli and Amalfi Coast. The bus ride is about 40 minutes however the ride is scenic and worth staying up the road. Don’t let the distance to Amalfi deter you – honestly, the location is pristine. The restaurants in Agerola are traditional restaurants with local customers rather than tourists, and much cheaper too.The owner will also assist you with tours etc. He assisted us with two beautiful hikes and a day trip to Capri.Honestly, there needs to be more ‘Nido Verde’s’ around the world because I never wanted to leave and if I could visit more often I would.
Review 93:This is a beautiful B&B run by a wonderful family who is so happy tohelp. It is the perfect place to start and end the path of the gods(walk of the Gods). The breakfast is home made and delicious. We willcertainly be back. Parking was convenient.
Review 94:room picaso, a little noisy during the day but comfortable to handicapped and quiet at night
Review 95:Warm and friendly approach Lovely family thats runs the place Helpfull advice and escorting when needed Good value for the money
Review 96:Absolutely nothing :)
Review 97:Very well received with excellent service above and beyond the call of duty. Roberto and Gerardo were excellent hosts and I can't wait to go back to Nido Verde...
Review 98:nothing!
Review 99:Loved our stay! The two bothers - Roberto and Alessandro - are so friendly and helpful, while being relaxed about it! Alessandro just walked us to the start of the Sentiero degli Dei through the town as not a big deal. Breakfast was great - I had 2 large pieces of the easter cake, it was so good! Rooms and bathrooms are clean, new and comfortable. And this is also a very eco-frendly! Best - free lemonchella at night!:) Thank you guys!
Review 100:Very friendly and service minded staff. The staff guided us through the city and showed key restaurants. I use booking.com three times a week, and have never felt to give feedback, but our experience at Nido Verde was so good, it deserves a feedback.
Review 101:Breakfast B and B location
Review 102:Nothing!
Review 103:great location and ease of going to pompei or positano! Very kind owners! Excelent breakfast!
Review 104:Amazing! Most hospitable hosts I could ever imagine
Review 105:Great friendly family run business and really make you feel welcome
