Reviews for Baltimore Cottage B&B

Review 1:This was the best accommodation we had during our trip to Ireland - had I known I would have booked to stay longer. One night is NOT enough & the food was superb, as was the view from our table. WONDERFUL

Review 2:Unfortunately the path from the village stopped short of the hotel.

Review 3:V comfortable. Excellent breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade brown bread and scones as well as a good choice of cereals and cooked breakfasts.

Review 4:Its a fair walk into the village, especially if the weather is bad.

Review 5:The staff was extremely helpful, and the accommodation was nice, and close to Casey's for live music and delicious food. The charger cable for my phone broke and the young lady at reception went out of her way to find me a charger and she specially packed us some scones, butter and jam for our trip back to Dublin. The breakfast, especially the pork sausage, was amazing

Review 6:The pillows are uncomfortable. Serious lack of decent channels on the tele.

Review 7:Very friendly staff. Food quite nice. Would be great for a few days away as there is kitchen in the room. Nice shower. Great location.

Review 8:We stayed in one of the self catering apts which was excellent. However some staff were living in the next apt and they woke us up one night 1.30 am - 3.30am . . Felt they should have been aware there were guests next door.

Review 9:Family run buisness. Friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. Fab food

Review 10:The fog, but this can't be helped

Review 11:Everything. The staff were always accommodating, friendly and helpful. The food was second to none. We ate both nights in caseys and the good was fantastic, as was the breakfast.

Review 12:We stayed in the cottages close to hotel On plus site, the kitchen in the house has all mod cons - well equipped for cooking. However, it's unusual not to have a kitchen table so you would have to take food into bedroom area or eat standing up. - a little flip-down table in kitchen would be a bonus. A minor point.

Review 13:Micro brewery - Really exciting to find a cosy bar where they brew the beer on-site - This is a great find - and a high standard breakfast, in restaurant that overlooks the sea - channel - lovely views; Comfortable bed, We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Review 14:nothing.

Review 15:Staff superb, food excellent . Breakfast staff charming. the room was like a small apartment with separate kitchen. Dover Sole on second night excellent.

Review 16:Just be careful of the steps leading to the cottages, very steep and can be slippery when wet. There is an alternative route (not much longer) which I tended to use and would recommend instead. The kitchenette was ample for my needs but lacked any towels for cleaning. Even though this was covered in daily house keeping a simple tea towel would have done just to dry off utensils used. (did not want to use toilet/shower towels as too clean and white)

Review 17:The cottage was very cosy, huge bed, good powerful shower and was plenty warm enough considering the harsh weather outside, making it easy to unwind. The hotel was just a 60 second walk with a nice friendly local pub, nice staff and excellent food. Would stay there again in a blink of an eye.

Review 18:Bedroom walls were to thin, could hear every word from next door. Bed was too hard. Otherwise it was a beautiful place and I would stay there again because of the location and the staff.

Review 19:Only the weather

Review 20:Exceptional service, excellent breakfasts

Review 21:Wifi didn't work in the cottage but did in the main hotel so that was fine.

Review 22:Good room with a small kitchen, shower was very good!

Review 23:I liked the self contained annex, but I could still have breakfast in the main hotel building.

Review 24:Staff very friendly, apartment excellent, beautiful location. Will definitely be back

Review 25:Heavy self-closing doors needed better wedges to prop them open. Very noisy fan in bathroom, and could hear next door's through the wall.

Review 26:Lovely food and friendly, helpful staff. Daily freshly baked scones were delicious!

Review 27:Room was warm and no way to cool without opening door to street.

Review 28:Staff, location, weather was fab!

Review 29:Great family run hotel with friendly staff. Food was delicious

Review 30:Everything

Review 31:The view was beautiful and the food was excellent

Review 32:Hotel quality breakfast; lovely view from restaurant.

Review 33:Small television. No drying-up cloth or washing-up liquid supplied. All minor issues and didn't detract from the holiday.

Review 34:Staff and food

Review 35:Complimentary beverages and snack upon arrival.

Review 36:A microwave would have been useful in the kitchen

Review 37:Friendly staff and comfortable bed.

Review 38:Nice facilities at beautiful location. Very helpful staff.

Review 39:Little thing fan in bathroom very noisy

Review 40:Position was excellent staff were very good ,breakfast top class evening meal very good not too expensive

Review 41:Very friendly staff Fantastic food great plac to stay

Review 42:The Appartements are so perfect, you have everything you need! The location is absolutely perfect and the town is beautiful...i enjoyed it very much!!!!!

Review 43:This hotel is in a nice, safe area very close to the town centre. It overlooks the bay. Breakfast is one of the best and we had it included in the price (this is optional). We had a separate "apartment" which had a full kitchen! Really great value.

Review 44:Our cottage did not seem to have any heating system and it felt cold on a wet weekend. Our cottage faced the street and was quiet at night but the streetlight shone into the bedroom through the skylight.

Review 45:This is a beautiful country hotel with wonderful food and service.

Review 46:Automatically closing ( heavy) doors to bathroom, bedroom & kitchen.

Review 47:Location, views, staff, food, information provided, accommodation. Easy access & short distance to harbour and shops/eateries. Welcoming tea/coffee & scones.

Review 48:The cottage was great value for money. Had everything you would need for a longer stay, was clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel has a lovely restaurant and the breakfast was wonderful. It's the setting that makes this place though, just a few minutes' walk from the village centre.

Review 49:Floor was dirty when we arrived. We notified the reception, they sent someone to re-clean the floor (while we went into a pub). Afterwards floor was better, but still not clean (dead insects, dust balls).

Review 50:Great dinner at hotel

Review 51:Just back from a one night stay in Casey's of Baltimore which was most enjoyable. We stayed in one of the cottages located on the hotel grounds. It comprised a kitchen area, shower room (no bath) and spacious bedroom. Very comfortable bed. The cottage was very dark even during the day and lights needed to be turned on. As we were only there for one night it suited us perfectly but if staying again (or staying more than one night ) would definitely pay the bit extra and stay in the hotel. We just did not find the room inviting and a place where you would lounge about - especially if it was a wet day. Not sure how useful kitchen area is as there is no eating area - would need to bring food into bedroom to eat. A little bigger kitchen area with some seating would make it so much more functional. On check in we got a voucher for complimentary tea/coffee and scones to be used when we wished. This was a lovely idea and delicious. We took a ferry to Sherkin - seas were a bit rough for Cape Clear so that will be another reason for us to return. The hotel is a 7 minute leisurely walk to the waterfront - we timed it !. We stopped for a drink in Bushes and also Algiers - nice outdoor beer garden. Bring some cash with you just in case. There is only one bank machine in Baltimore and that is in the Gala shop. It had run out of money on Saturday morning.Baltimore was quiet the time we were there so we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant in Casey's was busy when we went back for dinner. Nice buzz as place was almost full and delighted not to be eating in an empty restaurant. The dining room where breakfast is also served had lovely sea views. There is a set 3 course menu for €25 and an a la carte. I ate off the a la carte and my husband from the €25 menu. With a carafe of wine we paid just under €70 for a fabulous meal - I had goats cheese salad and black sole. From the set menu my husband opted for chowder, cod ( a little overcooked ) and cheesecake.

Review 52:We loved Caseys. The welcome was great, food great, the cottage was lovely and the very nice touch of giving us scones on our departure as we had no time for breakfast made our stay. Really super.

Review 53:everything about this b&b was 100% and having the little kitchen was a big bonus that you do not find in many b&b's

Review 54:What a fantastic place to stay. Excellent and friendly staff, wonderful location. Food exceptional. Everything about this hotel is excellent.

Review 55:Nothing.

Review 56:Beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was lovely.

Review 57:Nothing

Review 58:We had a fantastic weekend in caseys. I highly recommend it

Review 59:The ubicacion of the appartment. The price.

Review 60:The steps down to the cottage

Review 61:Food was good. And staff were friendly. The location was quiet.

Review 62:Friendly staff, excellent food especially the breakfast. Homely atmosphere.

Review 63:Really extenxive breakfast menu. Friendly and informative welcome.

Review 64:Comfortable accommodation, very helpful staff.
