Reviews for The Waterfront Hotel
Review 1:We got a fabulous free upgrade, so the room was FANTASTIC!! Huge marble bathroom and double shower. The bedroom stretched out into a lounge that looked down onto the bay. Ate in the bar in the evening and then a fantastic breakfast. Great staff, views, value. Perfect.
Review 2:its a cozy and very comfortable place, you can park car nearby, nice refurbished castle next door! love having breakfast with sea views! atmospheric pub with marine paraphernalia on the square,
Review 3:Lack of good food in house other than breakfast .All shellfish served in shell and not value for money in downstairs bar .
Review 4:Weather !! Easy access to room which was extremely comfortable .Wonderful view over harbour from open window .
Review 5:The dinner (pizza) at the in-house lounge was somewhat disappointing.
Review 6:The view of the harbour was brilliant and the staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a dog running about and it was super friendly :)
Review 7:The information I saw on-line indicated that they had wifi. NOT so much. If you sat in one of the two small chairs in the small lobby area, you MIGHT get wifi. My husband and I are dependent on internet/wifi, which is why we chose a hotel with access (we thought). This was disappointing!
Review 8:Very nice village on south coast of Ireland. It was particularly convenient to us since we were visiting friends. Cost and breakfast
Review 9:The big light in the bathroom wasn't working.
Review 10:The location is just perfect, the bars are literally downstairs, views of the harbour from your room.
Review 11:Our room was fantastic Staff were very friendly and helpful. Poor WIFI reception but probably to be expected due to the location All in all a lovely place to stay.
Review 12:Wifi only available in the bar and lobby.
Review 13:Extremely helpful and friendly staff, lovely location. Room with a view (seating in front of large window overlooking the bay). Large comfortable room.
Review 14:the only thing I didn't like was the hollow fibre duvet and pillows, I like feather duvets and pillows
Review 15:Loved the room with a great window and view over the pier and harbour, lovely bathroom, big shower, nice cups for the tea in the room, everything in the room so nice
Review 16:I thought the pillows could be softer.
Review 17:The room was gorgeous, above our expectations. The view out our window was breathtaking. The staff were attentive, pleasant and kind. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again, this time for more than one night.
Review 18:No real sitting lounge. There is a pokey, dark dreary room at the back which passes as a lounge. It is dark, dingy and seriously in need of a makeover to compensate for looking out at a wall.
Review 19:We got a very spacious room overlooking the harbour. Great big window which you could actually open inwards and sit on the couch looking out on the harbour. In the summer it would be divine to sit there with a good book.
Review 20:Having only booked a one night stay!
Review 21:Lovely hotel, our room was great with an excellent view out over the harbour. All staff were veryfriendly and helpful and food was very good. Definitely going back again.
Review 22:disliked leaving car at the side of a road or out of view at a public car park down the hill.
Review 23:Location. Friendliness of staff-nothing too much trouble. Room with a view. proximity to water, restaurants etc.
Review 24:Nothing.
Review 25:This is a wonderful, small hotel on the Baltimore, Ireland Harbour. It is the nicest room with the best view that we have ever stayed in. There is a great little bar where you can sip and watch sunsets from inside or out. Thanks Becky!
Review 26:Whilst the food quality was very good, the choice was a little bit limited. WiFi coverage was also limiting
Review 27:Everything was pretty much perfect, staff being excellent.
Review 28:Very little I didn't like, if I had to pick something it would be there was only full fat cows milk for the breakfast, I would have preferred a light soya milk or even low fat cows, and a grilled rather than fried brekkie, other than that I've zero to dislike, fab place, can't wait to go back
Review 29:Loved it! Excellent staff, excellent location, so relaxing, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Baltimore!!
Review 30:Parking nearby was easy and free but very slightly inconvenient.
Review 31:A perfect location with a large seaview room with an amazing view over the harbour. Excellent bathroom. The bar food and breakfast were very good.
Review 32:A very small gripe........ To get air into the room, it would be nessesary to open the window. It would be helpfull if there was some other means of airing the room while keeping the window closed so as not to have to hear the passing traffic and people as they gather outside.i would imagine that this could be an issue in high summer. A vent in the window itself might be a solution.
Review 33:The Location The staff The view of the harbour from the room and the breakfast room. The breakfast. We were given an upgrade to the front room which had a terrific view. This was as nice as it was unexpected. Everything worked!
Review 34:No one at reception early in the morning & I needed to check out quickly. Breakfast was from 8.30 which meant we really had to rush as we needed to be out by 9.00. would be better if breakfast started at 8.00.
Review 35:location, room, view
Review 36:Attic type room with ceilings low in places
Review 37:Excellent location, friendly staff, great views over the harbor from the bedroom& from the Restaurant

Review 51:We were upgraded on arrival as it was quiet. We had a sea view. The staff were lovely.
Review 52:Everything, first class accommodation and excellent staff.
Review 53:Not geared up for an early check out (pre 8:30)
Review 54:Location Room Fantastic views
Review 55:A charming, very well run hotel, perfectly located and with lots of Irish friendliness.
Review 56:Room 3 was quite noisy due to its location (my brother's girlfriend's comment) but my mother and I found room 6 the noise was not too intrusive and we slept ok
Review 57:The view, the fantastic breakfasts and the comfortable beds, great location for sunset watching and closeness to ferries
Review 58:No internet in the any of the rooms, It is however available well inside the bar area and reception. Apart from this it's great.
Review 59:The food, service, and staff make this place,Great views all round.
Review 60:We had fish and chips in the bar of the hotel and it was not very nice chips where burnt the hole group was very unhappy with the food .we had food on Saturday night in Casey and it was to die for.
Review 61:We liked everything about it you just couldn't fault it we had a fantastic time there.
Review 62:We were upgraded on arrival to a superior room which was stunning and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, the breakfast awesome -really fresh pastries and loads of choice. Try the salmon pizza for dinner in the bar- you won't regret it.
Review 63:Nothing!
Review 64:Loved the way the room was decorated... Very individual and really had charachter. The staff were very friendly and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Review 65:The shower heads need replacing as the units are all new but not working properly. Also some soft furnishings in the bedroom would deaden sounds which are amplified due to the tiling through out.
Review 66:The staff were very friendly and upgraded us on arrival. The room was simply furnished but comfortable. Everything was spotless. The view was stunning. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 67:Wooden floors are too noisy especially in hallway outside bedrooms. Mainly fish on menue so if your not a lover of fish your in trouble! While room was clean the provision of extention lead to work TV/Fridge/Hairdryer was not the best. Reception area could do with a good clean and tidy.
Review 68:The view from bedroom
Review 69:A little noisy at night and early morning, this was to be expected as room was to the front of the hotel by the harbour.
Review 70:Lovely spacious room with beautiful view of Baltimore Harbour.
Review 71:The water from the shower struggled to get more than lukewarm. As with much of southern Ireland it is not a cheap option, but the view and location make the extra expense worth it.
Review 72:The location is superb, with fabulous views of the little harbour from our second floor room. Evening meal and breakfast were wonderful, and there were even linen napkins at breakfast. I also liked the fact that breakfast was served until 10.30.
Review 73:Great location. Large room with spectacular views. Very comfortable.Excellent hotel food, great Irish music in cosy surroundings. Reallyenjoyed our stayed.
Review 74:Funny rather than dislike when new waiter at breakfast didn't know what porridge was! Didn't like the choice of 'fruity' smelling shampoo but that's just a personal thing and wouldn't influence my decision to stay there again
Review 75:Stunning views from rooms.
Review 76:Bar could have been better - a bit modern looking for an Irish pub!
Review 77:Loved the location; loved the room - especially the spacious bathroom and shower. All very easy going; nice breakfast; very good restaurant meal. Felt very comfy.
Review 78:Although we were very happy booking the standard because of thedescription when we arrived we were upgraded without asking to abeautiful sea view room, with amazing views and a very spaciousbathroom. The food was also very good, we ate dinner in the restaurantwhich had very fresh fish beautifully cooked and the breakfasts werealso very tasty with a great buffet selection. Overall very enjoyablestay although short and would come back again.
