Reviews for Isrotel Ganim Hotel Dead Sea

Review 1:the worst thing was the cleaning staff, those were russian ladies who start cleaning the rooms at 7.30 am,shouting and talking laud in the corridors and making a lot of noise. that is really unpolite and could not be accepted in an international 4* hotel, very uncomfortable for the rest of the guests.!!!!!!!

Review 2:big rooms,excellent breakfast,very good beach facilities .

Review 3:Rooms are very basic, with cheap bedding. The restaurant is buffet-only at dinner - so if you are not a big eater, it makes no sense. The town is DEAD - so the hotel really should have been livelier. Very poor value for money. We paid so much and felt like we were in a 2-3 star hotel . The hotel lobby is chaotic - there were hordes of people checking in at all times and you had to wait for at least 15 mins to speak to the reception which was massively understaffed. Interestingly - you never saw these people again either in the hotel or in town…I wonder where they went.

Review 4:The pool area is lovely, as is the spa Nice breakfast - as in all of Israel actually Shuttle service to private beach Daniel at the reception is helpful and cheerful!

Review 5:Our overall experience was excellent and the view from our room was breathtaking. But the heater did not work and we were chilly in our room. We put on heat but did not have heat just cold air. Maybe need to fix the thermostat but we only stayed a couple of nights so we did not want to complain about heater not working. But because it is January, weather in evening was still cold and would have been nice to have heater while sleeping. Overall we still had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Review 6:We were warmly greeted by Daniel and he assisted us with our luggage and brought it up to our room. Daniel was very caring and professional and did his very best to answer our questions and concerns. We also enjoyed the spa treatments and Inbar was very warm and welcoming at the receptionist desk and helped us with our appts. Lily did a great job with our facial treatments. Thank you.

Review 7:Hard to find the hotel location at night and went to the wrong hotel at another Isrotel.

Review 8:Great location with very nice private beach to enjoy the dead sea. Great food, great room and nice people.

Review 9:The last shuttle from the beach to the hotel didn't pick us up, so we walked but didn't mind so much. They told me they had to charge me the VAT since I hold an Israeli passport. But at the airport they said no, since I live in the States. Now I need to call VISA to get the tax refund which is a hassle since I have to give documentation, etc.

Review 10:Everything was just about perfect.

Review 11:There was a door to neighbour room, it is strange. Also it was too noisy in the room.

Review 12:Big hotel with a lot of different attractions for rest, like spa etc.

Review 13:There were cockroaches in our room! More than 3 and it was not acceptable. The manager wasn't even sorry about their room being infested with cockroaches.

Review 14:Beach access was by convenient shuttle as on site beach was temporarily closed for construction activity.

Review 15:Wonderful dining for breakfast and dinner "buffet" style. Wonderful Taj Mahal bar/restaurant just out the back door.

Review 16:Facilities and Service were excellent. Beautiful Hotel, great pools, spa (and massage) were very nice. Convenient access to the Dead Sea. Very nice breakfast buffet included.

Review 17:I was very disappointed with the food, especially the fairly expensive buffet dinner. Food choice very poor, meat tasted re-heated and hard, choice fairly limited.

Review 18:I liked the location and shuttle to private beach.

Review 19:We would expect far more from 4 star hotel. It was just a basic comfort. No hairdryer provided (even no toilet brush).

Review 20:Very tasty breakfast with a lot of variety. Good sea view.

Review 21:taste-wise, the food is quite bland compared to other Dead Sea hotels. very young staff with quite an attitude to different guests in the dining room . the cooks wrap up leftovers in front of the guests in the dining hall, which may cause suspicion that such food is later re-used. although breakfast is till 10.30, they started to wrap up everything shortly before 10.30, the manned stand for cappuccino and speciality coffee was once closed promptly even before 10.30. I've witnessed young guests who didn't get breakfast as they came at 10.30. perhaps changing the official time of breakfast till 10.00 would make things better. also - no senior/supervisor is present in the dining room, just a bunch of young waiters with an attitude who basically run things on their own.

Review 22:nice interior design, proximity to the beach and frequent shuttles to the private hotel's Dead Sea beach

Review 23:One can not eat in the lounge bar wearing a bathrobe. After all, this is a sea resort and a spa resort. I understand you don't want to see bathrobes in the main restaurant, but in the bar on the pool side.. I dont see the point. Also we could not order any food at the chill-out bar at the pool for some reason.

Review 24:Liked the helpful and friendly staff. On all levels they were very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, and the hotel is very clean.

Review 25:Reception not available 24/7 for non-hebrew speaking guests.

Review 26:Excellent breakfast and dinner buffett with delicious selections of local and international food. Very fresh fruits and salalds. Quiet hotel beach just around the corner.

Review 27:Did not tell us prior that on Saturdays check in is only at 6pm! Staff very unhelpful in this regard. Overseas visitors need to be alerted.

Review 28:Lovely room, excellent pool and spa facilities, breakfast good.

Review 29:I didn't like how you changed the shampoo, conditioner and toiletries from our last stay a year before. This is a little comfort that makes a big difference.

Review 30:The friendly staff.

Review 31:The only available English language news channel was Fox. This channel is not known for its lack of bias... BBC World or Euronews would have been a welcome addition to the selection.

Review 32:Excellent reception and location. Breakfast was really good, albeit crowded at times.

Review 33:- If not part of the deal, dinner is expensive. I suggest to include dinner as there aren't too many options for dinner out side. - wifi is not free -

Review 34:- Hotel is renovated and beautiful! - We stayed at the Deluxe room, the room was big, clean and comfortable. - Nice and clean pool area, the pool facilities look brand new! - The hotel is located in the center of Ein Bokek area

Review 35:I'm a 93-yr-old pensioner. It would be nice if there were seats / benches /chairs at/near the reception. Waiting to get room took ages. Had nowhere to sit. needed care-giver to take me to coffee-lounge to sit.

Review 36:Proximity to beach.

Review 39:The window in my room didn't close all the way, so even on the 8th floor I heard the constant din of the main "drag" below. Light sleepers should beware and not request "pool view" rooms (the pool is in the front of the hotel, in between the hotel and road)

Review 40:The hotel shares a private beach with a shuttle to and from (although it is only a 5 minute walk). The Spa is fantastic

Review 41:Had to change rooms for some small issue. Without asking or saying anything, they just gave us the kyes to the suite, with a compimentory wibe bottle and a fruit basket.

Review 42:I mentioned in my booking comments that i may like to order some champagne or something special to the room for our wedding anniversary and no one followed up with me about this. Maybe i should have gone about requesting this differently. Also we were told that we had paid the bill, and then when we checked in we were told we had to pay vat as well...would have been nice to know it wasn't included beforehand.

Review 43:The pool area is beautiful. Its a very relaxing environment. The hotel was very quiet and is decorated very tastefully. All in all a very nice place to stay and I would go there again.

Review 44:WI-FI has to be paid

Review 45:-very nice, clean and modern rooms - very good breakfast buffet - good location - great view on the Dead Sea -very nice and free of charge swimming pools with warm Dead Sea-water, Jacuzzi, sauna and open air-swimming-pool - very nice place just to relax for a couple of days

Review 46:There were massive construction works on the hotel beach. It was very dusty! From my point of view the hotel should have arranged a replacement.

Review 47:Excellent breakfast, vast parking, great view on the Dead Sea.

Review 48:In the Dead Sea area there is no night life. Bring cards. Also, if you, don't take the dinner package at the hotel, (I don't remember it being offered) dinner is expensive. The also didn't have my reservation from Booking.com, but we got a nice room. Call before you go to confirm your reservation. Also having to pay for wifi in this day and age crazy.

Review 49:The hotel was clean, bed was good, breakfast was great.

Review 50:Staff are rude and inattentive- they have no idea what an international standard it in a hotel- and should all head to a Hilton or an intercontinental or some advice- not least cross the sea to Jordan 5 km away where the staff at lovely and friendly

Review 51:Location to Dead Sea and reasonable rooms and bed

Review 52:Wi-Fi should be included in the price and allow for more than only 1 device.

Review 53:Beautiful view of the Dead Sea Pretty spacious. Well appointed, sizable bathroom. Very good king sized bed.

Review 54:Thought the staff was not particularly pleasant or accommodating. Roomswere sparce-no hairdryer, shower only had hand sprayer, had to pay $10for wifi for each device in your room, no one ever answered the frontdest or concierge or service number when called-had to go downstairs andstand in line if you had an issue with your room, no one available tohelp with luggage. Dinner was a buffet and not very good at all andcharged $40 per person for it. They charge $300 for what feels likeinexpensive kibbutz-not a hotel!!

Review 55:Only location

Review 56:Wifi is a mess. Not available in many of the public areas and not cheap.

Review 57:Renovations are lovely. Pleasing colors. Spacious and pretty. Lovely bid windows and uncluttered views. Rooms are practical, comfortable and spacious. Dining room is well-run, breakfast and dinner tasty and varied. No delays. No queues. The real clincher is the beautiful pool and garden area and bright and breezy spa with its gorgeous patio. Special mention to Victoria at reception

Review 58:Only one thing I found a little bit was the shuttles to the private beach, we waited at the beach for about fifteen minutes and not a shuttle arrived to carry us, while in contrast there was a shuttle for the other isrotel and the spa club every two or three minutes.

Review 59:The staff were friendly enough to feel comfortable from the first minute, almost everything was very good starting from breakfast to the quality of sleep. And I would definitely come again :D

Review 60:The lady from reception told us the beach is under construction and we have to use public one. The public beach is extremely dirty and without sun beds. Paid wifi in 21th century is nonsense, hotel must do something with it!

Review 61:The view from my window was amazing! I really love it! It were plenty of food for breakfast (we had BB option). The staff were nice to us. And i have very good opinion in general.

Review 62:Very expensive hotel, very poor service, unfriendly staff. Dirty rooms. Very unfriendly SPA staff. We have negative feedback and we would not like to return to this hotel. Save your money!

Review 63:Nothing positive!!!!!

Review 64:It was crowded at breakfast time.

Review 65:Large room with a view of the Dead Sea, clean. Front desk people were very nice and helpfull. Live music at the restourant/bar in the evening. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and everything was delicious.

Review 66:Staff is not very friendly except for Serenaa... She was great! No air conditioning in the hallways. Elevator is claustrophobic.

Review 68:the food was excellent

Review 69:The food options were pretty weak.

Review 82:All

Review 85:Good location, good food selection, nice facilities, clean room.

Review 86:Extremely overpaid for lower than average rooms

Review 87:The food and spa fabulous

Review 88:The view

Review 89:the hotel was in a great location for the beach and the shops. the buffets for breakfast and lunch were good with a wide choice of food.

Review 90:Rooms and halls hot .staff very slow

Review 91:Parking lot

Review 92:Peak times in dining room were a little too busy.

Review 93:Large pool and surrounding area were very relaxing and had lots of space. Food all high quality.

Review 94:vacation was to short

Review 95:everything was great . the hotel is beatiful and clean the staff very nice and food is great pool is awesome.

Review 96:Private beach really close by, less than a minute in the hotel's shuttle. Great views.

Review 97:Nice pool, great breakfast

Review 98:Great pools nice view

Review 99:Housekeeping not up to 4 star standard

Review 100:Everything, good value for money on the Booking.com site

Review 101:Pay for wifi

Review 103:was charged taxes that was refunded by another staff

Review 104:Very exclusive hotel with friendly stuff

Review 105:Paid Wifi

Review 106:Small room no balcony,only2towels in the bathroom

Review 107:The spa the location

Review 108:Got food posion, diarrhea, stomach pain and vomiting - from the breakfast buffet.

Review 109:Early check in.

Review 110:Wifi

Review 111:The look - the location - spacious rooms - dining room - gorgeous pool area

Review 112:for this price free internet should be provided to customers

Review 113:very good hotel

Review 114:No air cond in hallways, very hot Poor air cond in room, hot Staff not friendly Staff not helpful

Review 115:No balconies

Review 116:Good atmosphere (as compared to some other Dead Sea hotels), good food and nice restaurant, hotel beach

Review 117:I preffered location of Isrotel closer to private beach which was much nicer and cleaner.

Review 118:Being in front of dead sea Nice view especially at night.

Review 119:Good place Nice pool Location Nice meals but EXPENSIVE to my mind Beware of HOT SUN :)

Review 120:No free wifi unlike all other hotels visited. No menu for guests who donot want a full blown enormous and expensive buffet supper. An a lacarte menu more than just bar snacks would be appreciated. Real orangejuice for breakfast in the land of oranges!!

Review 121:Exceptional quality of room facilities are of a very high standard andservice quick and efficients

Review 122:Pool bar closes at 5 pm (or earlier if they think there are not enough customers) The private beach does not have a bar so you cant eat anything there and you cam only drink tap water Wifi available at a cost in 2014 in Israel is unacceptable

Review 123:Room is spacious

Review 124:Staff was rude. Rooms were outdated and dirty. Sheets and curtains had holes in them, the lamp had mold in the shade.

Review 125:Good location. Nothing else for the price we paid.

Review 126:The locker room of the spa is a dump. We had checked out and planned to use it before leaving for Eilat (3 hour drive) and there were no amenities (shampoo, etc. which if we had known would have just taken from the room before checking out) and it was smelly. But most people wouldn't do that probably.

Review 127:Location was great (though any of the hotels are really close together and great), comfortable room, spa services reasonable.

Review 128:Stay was too short, only stayed one night!!

Review 129:Facilities excellent, spa, pool Peaceful setting Food very good Clean surroundings Lovely airy room and great monsoon shower!

Review 130:Reservations were made by nephew in Israel. when checking in I requested that his card be cancelled, mine, should be used.Isrotel Ganim charged meals to his card instead of mine, which had been used already. Errors like this are reprehensible.

Review 131:the buffets. cold water, offered sometimes, in the lobby.

Review 132:Staff (with the exception of the Spa) seemed up-tight and stuffy. Not very welcoming. Rooms on the small side.

Review 133:The Spa- excellent treatments! Breakfast was very good. Beautiful view of the Dead Sea from our room. The outdoor pool was great.

Review 134:It was way too expensive for the amount it costs. And on top of thatthey want to charge an exorbitant amount to use the WiFi for a day. Theyhad three small elevators for a huge hotel and these could notaccommodate all the people, so I had to use the stairs to go down 6flights. The staff seems uninterested in being helpful. The place ispacked with large pushy tour groups. The room is minimalist and has verylittle to offer other than a clean place to sleep in. Breakfast does notstart early enough and people line up for it and then there is anunorganized mob scene once they allow people in. While they are close tothe Dead Sea to use their beach you have to take a shuttle to theirother hotel and then use the private beach for that hotel. I would notstay here again

Review 135:The room was clean and we had a view of the Dead Sea
