Reviews for Royal Rimonim Dead Sea
Review 1:Hotel Dead Sea beach closes at 3:30 pm! Water outdoor swimming pool freezing cold Water machines broken on most hotel floors Noisy construction works all over Ein Bokek
Review 2:Dirty room and bathroom, furniture and other equipment was too old. Sink in the bathroom was stuck and there was a bathroom mould.
Review 3:Good location. Good music-animations.
Review 4:Our room was very dirty. We have stayed in hotels and hostels all over the world and for $150US to have the floors dirty, the desk was so sticky I had to wash it myself, you could see the wear and tear very clearly on the doors and furniture, and our toilet only flushed half the time..it was dissapointing.
Review 5:obviously you are at the Dead Sea (evaporation ponds) so the location is great. Staff was very nice and patient given that we do not speak Hebrew
Review 6:Carpet in our room was stained and worn and should be replaced.
Review 7:Grand scale of the hotel. Spa with salt water pool....and hot tub and jacuzzi...all included in the room fee. View out all windows of the Dead Sea. Proximity to the local shopping area.
Review 8:The room was dirty with a huge stain in the middle of the rug. The food at lunch was inedible, breakfast's scrambled eggs were like rubber and the coffee very bitter. I was very disappointed, the food was really bad.
Review 9:Leaving the hotel.
Review 10:Food poor , staff not enough ,high price , not clean ,we are not israeli citizen but we work in israel they took from us VAT we talked with someone name is 'Talya ' she said you mast pay VAT .. The first time we bought VAT in israel ..we were for 2 days noone didn't come for clean to room
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:The SPA is like a market The Sauna is a smal dirty rabbit box The Carpets in the room a bacterial focus The Carpets in the dinning room a bacterial focus (mud-caked)
Review 13:only the food was good
Review 14:The staff at reception refused to speak English and insisted on charging me vat even though I am a British citizen - and booked through yourselves - he wax rude and obnoxious and started shouting at me which I found extremely embarrassing however he was just one person and the rest of the staff were courteous - I would recommend a stay there
Review 15:Thr room, the view and the food were excellent
Review 16:Spa staff is "foreign" and receptionist had no idea how tooffer a spa client a seat to wait while the esthetician was on her way,nor offer me a drink. Also, photos are misleading, you need to cross themain highway to get to the Dead Sea - whereas other hotels have theirown beaches. On both days we never managed to catch their alleged"shuttle" to the beach.
Review 17:The room was spacious - you can live here for a week. Huge closetsenough to hold lots of clothes and beach paraphernalia and even a realat home laundry hamper. Two porches, nice views.
Review 18:The staff should organize specific floors for families with little kids. Not that peaceful when kids shouting for hours in halls....
Review 19:Beauty of the site Diner and breakfast amazing!!! Choice of european and oriental food of excellent quality (GOURMET!!!), authentic recipes !!!! SPA is peaceful and spacious. Close are shops with excellent beauty products from dead sea and deals.
Review 20:- internet not provided, even not against the advertised charge; -elevators not able to move the high number of people ; - parking not able to cope with the high number of cars; - it is a "detective" task to find a manager;
Review 21:I wish I never booked your hotel. The hotel looks amazing from the outside but it's not as good as it looks. It's always the less pretty hotels provide better service. Wifi has to be paid for!!!! What a joke, and I had to pay £10 per night for my baby to sleep in a cot. They are the biggest money grabbers. The staff is very rude and they don't know how to treat customers. The Daniel hotel next to you provides better service, free wifi and a free cot for my baby. You have to learn how to attract customers. You have a bad name. Never staying there again.
Review 22:I liked nothing. The food was a good thing that people like on holiday. The food was nice, but that doesn't mean I had a good holiday and stay.
Review 23:The dining room was dirty- look on the chairs and on the table legs and surfaces-OLD dried MILk, mouldy corn flakes and bits of food- filthy windows looking out to the pool area, and BROKEN/CHIPPED food dishes in which salads are presented on the buffet. And please dont try and look into the kitchen near the coffee machine area else you may not want to eat here... INTERNET is NOT FREE. The hotel accomodation rate is high enough to be able to offer free wifi in the rooms.
Review 24:The proximity to the beach and the Hotels exclusive provate beach location
Review 25:No proper water facilities on the floors. Every other hotel at the Dead Sea we stayed in considered this important. Internet good, but very expensive. Spa very basic No lighted area downstairs for laptop use all night.
Review 26:Food Outside pool excellent.
Review 27:1. None of the ice making machines work. Requested to fix one on the 6th floor 3 times. Never happened. 2. Birds are flying in the dining room in the mornings, pooping on the food. 3. The car that takes to the private beach doesn’t run as often as it used to. 4. The private beach is nice, but there is no sign from the street how to get there. 5. The nightly entertainment is poor. 6. The Indoor pool closes too early at 6:00 pm. Recommend at least at 8:00 pm. 7. The room’s floor is dirty is only vacuums, never washes thoroughly.

Review 58:Breakfast nor enough good swimming pool to small for 400 pers. Music in Massage not zen bathroom old
Review 59:room very nice and quiet
Review 60:The spa and massage therapists
Review 61:this hotel is far away from been a 5 stars hotel, its very expensive and you . .have no value for money not recommended at all.
Review 62:Diner in Sunday was very limited and lame monday was a lot better No evening activities. Bar close very early
Review 63:Location was very good we got there kin Sunday check in was fine room was clean pool was nice too
Review 64:The room was dirty and the food not great. The general customer service in the hotel was okay Glad it was for only 1night . And for sure will not be returning to the hotel on next visit to the Dead Sea
Review 65:We paid for a Royal suite. The desk gave us a lesser room. It took us several moves to get to the right suite. The air conditioning did not work nor most of the lights. As a good will gesture, the hotel should have extended a good-will gesture, such as a reduced rate for the first night. The room had been lovely at one time, but the present ownership has not maintained it. The food was acceptable. We will probably choose another hotel if we visit the Dead Sea again.
Review 66:We loved the view and the spa. The spa seemed very well run. The attendants were professional.
Review 67:I have been coming to this hotel for the last 4 or 5 years. The breakfast bar was lacking the baby leaves salad bowls. I feel that the hotel has decreased in its interior, something; cna not quiet put my finger on it. Also, there was a huge cocker roach that was spotted one night leaving the dinning room.
Review 68:The dinners were good, and the pool area is still very picture perfect. When I requested housekeeping services my demands were met with a quick response and service. Then there was a follow up phone call from the reception to make sure that I received my towels etc... A nice touch.
Review 69:Hotel needs a complete renovation, all rooms are old and dirty.
Review 70:- the waiters/ some other staff wasn't able to speak English at all - it was very noisy on the balcony or when the window was open, I think it was because of a cold store/ air conditioning system somewhere...
Review 71:+ the food was good
Review 72:The reception was rude and unpolilite they charged us taxes even we don't live in Israel. Impossible to complain as they don't want to unswer. Very dirty everywhere Conclusion if we or our friends want to have a nice vacation we and the have to avoid this hotel for many reasons.
Review 73:We had 3 rooms for our vacation all were badly smelling from cigarettes, the carpets had big blacks stains, bathroom were not really Cleand before. The food in the dinning room was planty but was surely made without any love. Staff was friendly but English or Hebrew was not their strong side. In short disappointment or in Hebrew מאכזב מאד!
Review 74:Good Location.
Review 75:Poor welcome at Check in. Room acceptable but very noisy(road, machineries of close hotels) Flush of WC out of service: i had to use the bathroom bin full of water!. Additionnal bed probably coming from an army surplus! Totally unconfortable. Very low level Food (dinner And breakfast) : poor choice, absolutly not attractive. Above all 15 usd for wifi, usable with one machine only. Had to buy an other code for an another phone. Really unacceptable in a so called 4 stars hotel.
Review 76:A singer one evening at the bar. That´s nearly all. Good Spa service, even though the appointements was canceled the last day without clear reason.
Review 77:I didn't like that towels and bathrobes weren't complimentary for spa usage & also, that the front desk attendant wouldn't permit flexibility regarding checkout time. Also, I will be annoyed with any hotel that doesn't offer guests free wi-fi. All hotel's policies on perks and amenities (or lack of) should be stated explicitly, up front....instead of luring people in with seemingly economic fees only later to find out, that there are hidden costs for amenities.
Review 78:The breakfast & dinner buffet is delicious and an outstanding part of the package.
Review 79:The staff at the desk and the bell staff needs professional training.
Review 80:The room was beautifully appointed. The view was magnificent. We have stayed in several suites at Ein bokek Dead Sea and this was the best.
Review 81:When we arrived at the hotel there was no parking anywhere on their property. It was chaos. There were cars double parked all over the place, parking three cars to one bus parking spot. Good luck to the people whose cars are trapped in front. There were cars parked on any available sidewalk which is what we ended up doing. After we checked in and got to our room we were shocked. The room looked like someone had gotten drunk and trashed it. Ripped lamp shades, broken window, torn curtains, broken track for the curtains. Then we noticed that we did not have a queen bed like we reserved on booking.com, but instead two twin beds that were pushed together. We called the front desk and told them this is not what we reserved. They told us they didn't have anything else available and sent us some bedding to lay across the crack between the two beds and zip tied the legs of the frame together. We were so disappointed it unfortunately set the tone for the entire trip. I wanted to badly to leave, but we had already committed the time to travel there and a deposit that we would have lost. My girlfriend and tried to make the most of it but we were both pretty upset. I also mentioned at the front desk that the price we paid online was $856 on booking.com and that on the hotels website it was $709. They told us if we were lucky booking.com would pay us back the difference. Booking.com only offered half the difference despite their price match guarantee. That's a separate issue. Being a diplomat, I will be sure to spread the word of my experience to those who work at both the American Embassy and Consulate in Israel as well as to not recommend this hotel to any visiting delegations. As far as the Booking.com's price match guarantee goes, don't trust it or rely on it. Definitely shop around before committing to anything on their site, because once you click submit, that's it.
Review 82:We liked the spa facility, and the buffets were really good. The pool was also nice if you can find a place to lay down that isn't taken. Also for some reason they kept turning the waterfall off. The water was really cold and not many people were in the water.
Review 83:Found the hotel very dated, not very clean. Buffet good really fair nothing special in comparison to other hotels we stayed in Israel. Disappointing the spa in the hotel closed at 6:30pm as we were touring the whole day and only checked in late afternoon. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
Review 84:Liked the position that you could just walk across the road to the Dead Sea
Review 85:The furniture is a bit old and no carpets at the floor , although I have been at a deluxe room.
Review 86:the magnificent location and view between the ancient and historical mountains and also the marvelous sea view, also I very much liked the location of service room for ironing, cold water and ice cubes at our floor.
Review 87:Dirty bathroom . There isn't free wi-fi !!! Obsolete furniture in the room . Too expensive hotel .
Review 88:Location , heated Dead Sea water's pool , food is good , tea and coffee sets in the room
Review 89:Reception staff unable to cope with check in which was far to late from 3pm.this impacted on day as gets dark at 4.30pm in winter months
Review 90:All inclusive food ways outstanding.fabulous choice and presentation. Size and comfort of room
Review 91:Dirty floors, hair all over floor in the bathroom, carpets were all stained and the rooms stink. I had to refuse 2 rooms and agreed for the 3rd which was ok, but had to pay an upgrade fee. I travelled all over Israel nd stayed in 3 hotels this time. This is by far the worst hotel for the money paid, $265 + upgrade fee. I will not recommend this hotel and will not return to this hotels chain.
Review 92:We have stayed at this hotel in July 2013.There were several factors which detrimentally impacted our stay and experience: (1) Even before checking in, upon our very arrival, we were surprised to discover that there is absolutely no unoccupied parking space available and were told to park at the paid parking nearby(!!!). To us, this is unacceptable. Hotels of that level should be aware of the anticipated volume of guests, and prepare parking space accordingly -- and not claim that parking is on a "free space basis". It is simply not acceptable for hotel guests to go search for parking space, and eventually park at other, paid parking stations (and even that, after searching for free parking intensively -- as the area has been crowded then); (2) Many of the patrons were parents accompanied by their young children, which created considerable noise throughout our stay. While this is understandably unavoidable, we were considerably inconvenienced by the noise; (3) Even though a half board plan has been booked, the hotel charges fees for soft drinks. At the rate paid for the stay, to us, this is unacceptable; (4) While the room has been clean, its furniture began to show considerable signs of age. This has caused some discomfort; (5) The windows were not clean, thereby causing some inconvenience while trying to enjoy the Dead Sea view. On a positive note, the spa has been wonderful and we can highly recommend it to other visitors.
Review 93:The location is quite nice.
Review 94:Pay for WiFi, why? Despite it being "free" on booking and confirmed in their own brochure, staff attempted to charge for this. Paid $2500 for four nights, get real about squeezing every last cent out of your guests!
Review 95:Beautiful, big rooms with excellent facilities. Wide variety of food with the half board option. Lovely location. Nice, big pool.
Review 96:The lacklustre attitude of the reception and restaurant staff.
Review 97:The hotel seems somewhat dated and in need of maintenance, but once you accept this, it is pleasant enough and the breakfasts and suppers (we had half board) made up for everything else. One could not ask for a wider variety of dishes and all very fresh and tasty. The spa is good and the indoor dead sea pool is great.
Review 98:Raw food served by the pool on first day. Staff were very apologetic.
Review 99:Restaurant was very good Plenty of Sun Loungers round the pool area Stunning Views Great Swimming Pool Very Relaxing
Review 100:Hotel's administration tries to save money on staff, so the servicein the hotel has a very low level. 7 days in my room did not changebadclothes. In fact the room was not clean: did not clean the carpet, the dust did not removed, the bed not made up, they left in the room agarbage, empty bottles! Cleaning woman knocked at my room several timesin the early morning and wanted us to leave. All the cleaning ladies didnot speak English at all. It was impossible to call a taxi to theairport at the front desk, the hotel does not offer this service. Thestaff is not more than 3 stars!
Review 101:Locaton is near the sea spa treatments is good
Review 102:The staff attitude and service, being asked to pay while eating dinner! The stupidity of closing the pool so early while the weather is so hot! ( what there is to do in the dead sea area besides pool and beach)
Review 103:The hotel designs The hotel facilities The hotel location
Review 104:The staff's poor treatment with room problems, the poor condition of the rooms (broken cabinets, broken drawers, stained rugs). All in all a very bad experience!
Review 105:It is desirable to introduce proportional discounts to guests with a long time residence
Review 106:Constant attention to the quality, cleanliness and courtesy of staff
Review 107:It is very hard to find the entrance to the hotel beach, you need tohave scouting background to do it. Judging by the directions wereceived, I got the impression that nobody at the front desk knows thereit actually is and nobody from the hotel staff had ever been there. Afew more annoying things: One of the room phones didn't work, bothbed phones were not plugged in; there were only 2 bath towels perperson, no wash cloths and no towel to step on when getting out of theshower, no tissues in the bathroom, no hangers in the closet. Yes, youcan call and finally get these items but they really should be thereright away. We only stayed for 2 nights, so we were not looking fortours. However, it would make sense to have a tour desk and to offertours to Masada, Ein Gedi, Ramon crater, etc.
Review 108:Location - It is on the hill and is probably the tallest hotel in thearea; the view from the solarium floor is great. Food is good, spa isgood, beach is very close, staff is friendly.
Review 109:Bugs in the room. Some prices are high, I think it would be better, ifprocedures have lower price.
Review 110:Relaxation, good suits, wonderful views from rooms. Stuff speaks manylanguages, english or russian not a problem. Short way to the beach.
Review 111:Hotel bosses must to check rooms cleaners job.If showers cabins inother rooms are so clean like in room 953, very soon nice hotel willbe 2* hotel.
Review 112:Everything is good. Exclusive good is food.
Review 113:1. The hotel beach and swimming pool are closed at 4 pm. The weather is so hot from 12 till 4 pm, kids cannot be there. But when they can go, everything is closed. Ridiculous!2. If you have HB (breakfast and dinner) there is almost no place to have lunch...The lunch in the hotel costs $45 (it is too much for that food, very expensive). The Arab cafes close to the hotel are very dirty. 3. Rooms were cleaned not properly. 4. Nothing to do in the evenings (specially when the swimming pool is open till 4 pm). No entertainments at all, no place to go around(((. 5. Kids under 16 are not allowed to the swimming pool in the hotel with warm water or any other spa procedures.
Review 114:1. The beach of the hotel is rather clean.2. the food in the restaurant was good and various.
Review 115:The cleaning of the room was awful, all things in the room were broken - bed, chairs, shower. I asked several times for vacuum cleaning, but they did not do it. Towels are old and dirty.
Review 116:Most of the personnel talk in russian, that was really good for my friends who do not speak English.
Review 117:Arrival delayed by 3 hours 3 часа ждали пока заселят...No Wi fi in the room. Disgraceful! Terrible! Very greyhounds vacationers Israelis. Hustle. Rude. Very angry! This is a pathetic negative place!
Review 118:Fish for dinner. That all!!! Its not royal...
Review 119:1. Why was it necessary to go kosherl'pessach 5 days before the holiday?2. Rooms xx52 were not shown on the website - overlooked parking lot, no security on the balcony, noise from main road - passage in front of the room always dirty 3. young males can not be sent into women guests' rooms esp if they do not even have a woman supervisor except for one person, Jack, the dining staff had no idea re the wine list. When ordering a chardonnay we were asked, "Red or white?" - he also then got the price wrong. 4. no outside access from the Spa 5. transport to and from the beach very irregular - when a serious sand and wind storm (The same that disrupted Obama's visit) arose the driver said he was on his break and could not go to collect elderly guests stuck at the beach. 6 the dining room table were very close and it was crowded and difficult to have a decent conversation 7. plumbing in our room xx52 was not functioning properly - very slow to drain
Review 120:1. Food was good2. solarium and beach were great 3. one hour free internet on one's own computer per day 4. Pianist in the lobby before dinner was nice 5. Food prices in the lobby were reasonable 6. After checking out we could still use the facilities for the rest of the day
Review 121:It's one of the nicest hotel in deadsea if u want service/food/enjoying/a good time that's the place and before I forget ! Booking.com is the way to go from looking up a hotel till I chekd in hotel was under 24hours easy as 123! Hope this helps
Review 122:The reception was understaffed and they tried to collect vat from mealthough my booking stated categorically that I am Australian. Thereceptionist argued with me saying that my booking stated I am anIsraeli citizen. I showed him my confirmation and passport until herelented. He had an unpleasant manner
Review 123:*No movies on demand. We were quite disappointed with tv.. Not enoughvariety of channels and movie channels were not so good. Having movieson demand would have made our stay more enjoyable. *The sheet on our bedwas not big enough and was coming off. *The steam room was in vip areaof pool and at extra charge. Should be made available to everyone. *Notea/coffee served after dinner
Review 124:*Big king bed *Big room *After we told them we were on honeymoon theybrought chocolates and champagne to our room.
Review 125:The personel in front of the hotel was unfriendly. They hardly spokeenglish and were quit unpolite to me according to my luggage.
Review 126:Loved the food. The breakfast as well as the diners were outstanding.
Review 127:Cafeteria shop at pool was not open. Small maintenance problems like dirty carpets.
Review 128:Stunning large bed, extra touches, good food at breakfast and lunch.
Review 129:the food wasn't good at all, and the room was not clean also ful of hair and dust
Review 130:the pool was amazing
Review 131:calculation was deceintful
Review 132:Very poor service
Review 133:Location and SPA
Review 134:Wi Fi is not free
