Reviews for B&B La Casa di Giò

Review 1:Breakfasts were a little spartan - in terms of both variety and quantity.

Review 2:We had a spacious, three-bedroom flat all to ourselves. Super clean. Also large, well-maintained grounds, and inside-the-wall, secure parking.

Review 3:The Infernetto neighbourhood is a strange area of post 70's housing development located 5km from the coast and about 20Km outside of Rome. The roads in the area are a catastrophe - full of potholes and lumps caused by the roots of the abundant pines. If you can deal with that then it is a very recommendable location.

Review 4:Giorgio and his wife are very keen to make their guests comfortable and offer good advice on where to go, what to do and see etc. They are a lovely couple and look after their property assiduously. The beach they recommended was great and free to boot. Ostia Antica is close by (about 4KM / 3 miles) and well worth a whole day visit without the bustle of the main Roman antiquities.

Review 5:Breakfast was rather poor. The first days we got cheese and ham and Nutella. We missed normal bread. Instead we got croissants in plastic paper with no taste at all. After 2 days, the cheese and ham was gone, they didn't refill it, neither with the bread. They toasted only 5 toasts for all of us (5 people), that was everything. The 3th day we asked an american coffee after our cappucino. The gastlady didn't understand us and braught us nescafe, which was also fine for us. But we tried to explain what we really meant for the coffee. She became very angry to us, stepped into her car and stayed away for the whole day! We talked to her husband about this incident and he confirmed to us she was really angry.(because of a coffee!) and had to go out of the house. She wants to do everything perfect for the guests, but when you give any comment at all, she can't cope with it. That is a real problem for the future, which her husband recognized. After that day no one dared to ask anything at breakfast and we just ate what they served. It was really a pitty of the journey. We feeled unwelcome and think we ate too much for their expectations. We found their pastries in the local store:1,39 euro for 10, so why not offering them all for 5 people and only 4? some days my wife and I just ate biscuits to give the rest to the children. When you pay so much for your room, you expect a decent breakfast. it was offered outside, between the bugs and their dog was always there too. Our daughter is allergic for it, but eventhough they let him walk free. In the evening, the couple ate outside, so you didn't have any privacy. They used the kitchen next to our room. It was forbidden to eat in the room, so if you want to eat in the evening in the property, you have to sit with them. That was uncomfortable. The husband tried to be very friendly, but because they don't know English very good it is difficult to have a conversation.

Review 6:We stayed in this B&B for a week. We had one room and the children the other room. They slept in a sofabed and a foldingbed. There was a little kitchen at their room, but we were not allowed to use it, just the fridge, which was a little strange. Between the two rooms is the breakfast room and another kitchen, which was their personal use only. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with flatscreen, minibar, very good bed, table with chairs and a double closet for cloths. Same with the bathroom which had toiletteries, even bathslippers. Every 2 days there was a change of towels and after 4 days they even changed the linen. The swimming pool was magnificent. It was 32°, which was very nice, even in the evening. Wifi worked very good! They told us in the future they are going to live in the complex where we stayed in, and guests will stay in their appartment accross. That will be a better solution concerning everybody's privacy.

Review 7:A beautiful, modern, well kept B&B with the nicest and most attentive hosts, Giorgio and Simonetta. The lovely grounds and swimming pool are an added bonus. We felt very welcome and "at home."

Review 8:Nothinh

Review 9:Everything: the spacious nicely decorated bedroom, well-equipped bathroom and loverly diningroom. We will surely return in summer when breakfast will be served outside viewing the swimmingpool

Review 10:Nothing.

Review 11:This was a lovely place to stay. The owners were very helpful and kind and went the extra mile. Immaculate in every detail. Very good breakfast. Thank you both.

Review 12:Mosquitoes are all around and this new “stealth generation” is really hard to hunt. I would strongly recommend to have in the rooms devices for neutralize these “lovely” insects.

Review 13:Everything is clean and well maintained and the owners are really very friendly and nice people.

Review 14:We liked everything... The owners are very nice, and helpful. Giorgo and Simonetta welcomed us with such friendliness that we really felt at home. The room is clean, very well equipped and nicely decorated. We'd stay there again in our next Rome trip.
