Reviews for Fontana Vecchia B&B
Review 1:The staff was amazing- I wish I could have her as part of my family! The house was so cute, with fruit trees all over. The kids picked and played all day. It was close to the town of Alberobello, the Caves, the zip line park and the paintball course. It was so private and the breakfast was phenomenal. I can't wait to go again!
Review 2:Warmth and hospitality of the family owners Outstanding breakfast with locally produced ingredients and home cooking Stunning location amidst fruit trees, in the midst of the countryside, with a lovely outside pool Loved staying in genuine Trulli
Review 3:Really the only negative was that the parking area was a little small
Review 4:Wonderful tranquil location with extremely charming hosts. We really felt at home and they could not have done any more to help us. Breakfast was fantastic and it was easy to reach the sea and some lovely villages.
Review 5:The hospitality of the owners was brilliant, they could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. The breakfast was amazing! Also a great location to go and explore the delights of Puglia.
Review 6:Wish I would have paid attention to the type of room I had reserved as not all rooms are in a trulli.
Review 7:Nice greeting and easy check-in. Please note that this property is on a dirt road so your GPS is not wrong. Lovely setting and quiet. With booking your Trulli stay, be aware that not all the rooms are in a Trulli. I was not aware of that and because they were fully booked we could not change rooms. The room we had was comfortable, clean and met our needs. Breakfast was very nice and served at a community table as opposed to a buffet. It was delicious. The owners are very nice and were helpful with recommendations for eating and activities.
Review 8:Nothing

Review 20:Location
Review 21:Very clean and owners were wonderful people. Breakfast award great. Location was a little out of the way would not have found without GPS. But once you find it you can easily get wherever you want to go
Review 22:Amazing trulli place!- The breakfast was incredible, freshly baked/cooked. - Extremely clean and tasteful decorated! - Has a beautiful pool with a chill out area and very nice garden all around it! - The hosts were both warm and helpful with all our requests (and we had many!!). !!! Strongly recommended !!!
Review 23:My only suggestion would be to book the trullo room during warm weather. We happened to stay during a very rainy, April cold spell, and the trullo got a bit damp.
Review 24:Fontana Vecchia is a gem with the nicest hosts. Such kind people: Biagio welcomed us with a bottle of excellent wine, and Maria served us the most incredible breakfasts. Croissants, wonderful bread, homemade jams, cheeses, cheesecake -- amazing treats every day. Maria even served us bacon and eggs (we are Americans), and Biagio made his famous fritattas. Every morning was a special experience with wonderful food and fun conversation. The location is ideal with cities like Alberobello, Locorotondo, and Ostuni a short drive away. The accommodations are lovely and the grounds are filled with cherry, almond, and olive trees. We loved our week with Maria, Biagio, and their son Vincenzo and were sad to leave. Fontana Vecchia is so much more than just a B&B, it's a warm, welcoming place where you feel as if you are staying with family.
Review 25:Time of year we went was Feb. a little cold but they provided space heaters that helped a lot after we asked for them. it was a little damp feeling.
Review 26:The couple that own the Trulli house was very nice and helpful to where to eat and some places to see. It was a great experience to spend a few nights in a Trulli house. Breakfast was great bacon and eggs something you don't get in Italy.
Review 27:A little difficult to find. Could benefit from a more visible sign on the road.
Review 28:Very friendly hosts, excellent breakfast with a very basic trull experience.
Review 29:Everything! Our hosts were very warm and they'll run the extra mile to help us out. The traditional fresh homemade breakfast was a real nice surprise. Sleeping in the Trullo originally built in the late 17th century was really special. Will recommend this B&B anytime to anyone!
Review 30:Missed a window in my room, but we cannot ask for everything in a trullo!
Review 31:Everything was perfect, the hosts were incredibly nice and attentive. Hospitality was 110%! Best breakfast ever, with home made ricotta, stracciatela, burrata e fresh figs!
Review 32:Staying in a traditional Truli was a great experience. Situated in the midst of Olive groves and orchards. Invited to 'help yourself' to the fruit. Wonderful home made breakfasts and friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent swimming pool.
Review 33:It is worth knowing that to stay in this area you definitely need to hire a car!
Review 34:Amazingly warm welcome, they stayed up to allow us a late check-in and were excellent hosts. They allowed us the space to relax and do our own thing and were there when we needed them. The breakfast was hefty but irresistible - recommend the local cheese with jam. We also adored the tiny dog 'Chica' - we miss them already!
Review 35:Wonderful hosts who welcome you with warmth and fantastic home produced food. The trullo we stayed in was beautifully renovated and the pool area superb. Authentic and very rural Italy. A complete gem if you want to get away from it all and visit some stunning local towns.
Review 36:Fontana Vecchia provided an authentic trulli experience in a peaceful countryside setting. Easy driving distances to all local attractions, or stay at the B&B and enjoy the swimming pool, the comfortable terrace for relaxing or wander through the cherry, almond and olive groves. Biagio and Marie are very friendly and helpful and served a wonderful breakfast. We will definitely stay here again in our next visit.
Review 37:Everything was great. It was a bit away from everything, but that was part of the charm. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. We felt like we had an authentic Italian experience.
Review 38:Bathroom is a bit small and very basic but this part of The trulli experience though and not a problem for us. I think they also have larger rooms.
Review 39:A loverly hotel in the middle of the wonderfull trulli country side. If you are looking to spend The night in a truli, this is the place to be. Great swimmingpool and the hospitality of the owners is litteraly heartwarming. Be prepared for a elaborate breakfast; everyday different pasteries, meats, fresh cheeses jams and eggs.
