Reviews for Daniel Dead Sea Hotel
Review 1:There is definitely not 5 stars hotel. I could say it is 3 stars. The room is not repaid well, the level of service is weak. The variety of the food is not much.
Review 2:Vadim ( the person at the reception) was attentive and helpful. We had a big room with wonderful see view and big balcony.
Review 3:The spa was best part ,the mineral pools were great specially the one that was linked in-door and out-door..the couple massage was over over relaxing, warm and fantastic.
Review 4:Tired facilities. Rooms needed an upgrade. Our window was broken. Too much smoking!! Couldn't enjoy the terraces due to all the smokers.
Review 5:Great food and plenty of it!
Review 6:The food was HORRIBLE!!!! Everything was served cold and was from a previous meal. We even took pictures of rotten apples and dried overcooked shakshuka (eggs in tomatoe sauce). I will never go back to this hotel, in no way do I recommend it!
Review 7:The spa was ok
Review 8:Basically everything is a lie about this place Costs more than the Hilton and you get Nothing in return!!! Staff don't really speak English, they enter your room even Though you have dnd on your door, rude, No parking available, old decor, needs renovations ASAP
Review 9:The waitress Inbar was lovely and helpful
Review 10:There's no free Wi-Fi, not even in the lobby.
Review 11:It's a nice hotel, if you're planning to stay the whole day on the beach or in the hotel's pool. The quality is good, though as for me, the hotel is overpriced. As for the breakfast, there's a big selection of vegetables, cheeses, fruits and many other things, suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
Review 12:There were a few issues that annoyed us. On Tuesday (Sept.1) we went to the pool at 3:30 pm-----and they were totally out of towels (that is unacceptable). Also in the dining hall--the wait staff seem "over-zealous". We got up during breakfast to get in line for cooked eggs (as required). Even though, we had just gotten coffee & our plates were full of salads/food, etc.---when we got back from the egg line (no more than 5 mins later)----our food was all gone & other people had been seated at our table. I saw this happen to another couple (from Germany) the day before----they got up to greet friends at the next table (backs were turned) and the waiter took their full plates away. It is a terrible waste of food. Perhaps the hotel could give dinners a small sign, etc.---to place on the table to indicate that they are still eating.
Review 13:The staff was for the most part very nice and helpful. We appreciated the calls (in the early evening) from the hotel to see if we needed anything.
Review 14:The staff were incredibly rude. Very family oriented hotel which can be great but it was 90% families with several small children.
Review 15:Food was the only thing half decent.
Review 16:Someone entered my room at 7:30 AM while I was in bed, then promptly left. The tile floor in the salt water pool was extremely slippery! You might warn your guests to wear appropriate footwear.
Review 17:The room was comfortable, and the view was awesome. Breakfast was generous and delicious!
Review 18:Too noisy, not private, very busy. Pool hours are short, packed with children. Spa was good except for mani-pedi. Worst I ever had. Wifi is charged per hour. Connection was slow. Extra charge for every devise
Review 19:hotel location, beach, spa, free breakfast.
Review 20:The hotel public areas were absolutely filthy. The concierge desk had sticky juice dried in, rubbish was everywhere. Staff made little effort to tidy anything. The "private beach" was more dirty than the public beach.
Review 21:Location and price is about all
Review 24:The hotel, esp. the rooms are tired. They are ok for a 2.5-3* star place but definitely not the standard of 5*! I don't kno why it is marked on 5* on this website? The shower was actually quite disgusting... Upon arrival we couldn't get into the room for about an hour as the keys didn't work and the staff did little to bother with that matter. A guy came over an hour later blaming it on the fact that he was the only one in the entire hotel. Also, the hotel is the choice of the elderly Russian speaking visitors...
Review 25:Breakfast was great!
Review 26:Staff was rude. We payed for half board and then were told we didn't at the hotel. Took half a day to sort it and not even an apology from the rude lady at the desk. That was time stolen from our vacation but an apology would have sufficed. I much prefer the Hod Hamidbar hotel which is on the beach unlike this one.
Review 27:I liked the pool and the room was alright.
Review 28:The beach was a little disgusting cigarette butts everywhere. This is not the hotels fault but we stayed the week before Passover and they were changing everything over to kosher so a couple of the restaurants were closed....the buffet was okay if you like that sort of thing...personally I'm not a fan...The staff tried but at times the service was slow at best .
Review 29:Location to the beach was a 5 min walk.the staff were friendly and tried there best to accommodate our needs.we upgraded to club level and when we arrived at our room there was a big plate of fresh fruit and a bottle of red wine waiting for us.the lady that takes care of guest relations went above and beyond to ensure we had a club level stay
Review 30:The all hotel and rooms smellyluke a huge bathroom. Even if in certain spots it was clean its like a clean bathroom
Review 31:I took a massage at the spa, quite expensive one! And but the masseuse was very bad I left there with a back hurting more and bruses on hips! If i were you, think twice before taking a massage
Review 32:The reception staff was very friendly specially Idan was very very helpfull, amzazing breakfast with a friendly staff
Review 33:Indoor spa area floor was dirty and changing rooms not inviting!
Review 34:Food was ample and lovely, good meat and veggie choices (all buffet). Views from room over Dead Sea. Bedroom nice, purposeful, slightly dated (not overly luxurious) but very comfortable. Outdoor pool area lovely. Facilities such as a pub and bowling on site. Reasonable spa treatments
Review 35:There were loads of people despite being low season. All the companies send their workers on holidays and we caught quite a few groups. It made everything rather crowded. But everyone was friendly and we really loved the location.
Review 36:Lovely hotel. Glass lifts. Wonderful lounge and outdoor spaces. Great spa and sulphur pools. It was a 2 minute walk from the Dead Sea itself. Although they offered a shuttle bus it was far quicker to walk!
Review 37:There was a long line (20-30 people) for breakfast on the weekend The outdoor pool is closed during the winter time
Review 38:Great location Great views to the Dead sea
Review 39:Bed had stains, carpet had stains, couch had stains, table in room was breaking and the elevator was filthy. At 100 a night its fine, at 200 plus not a chance
Review 40:We arrived at 3pm and were handed a brochure of hotel facilities; among them were hours for outdoor pool -open till 5pm. I went to swim at 4 and was told the pool is closed -and to get out. When I refused-saying it should be opened- they called security . needless to say this is no way to treat a guest. Being that this is a spa- , I went understanding that I would do my usual aerobic exercises. After being evicted from the pool I decided to do my aerobic exercise in the gym. Due to knee injuries I need to use a bicycle which is low impact on the knees. To my dismay the 1 bicycle in the gym was broken. I will not go back to that hotel.
Review 41:Clean and had good facilities -however the facilities were not made available . .for normal use of the guests !! how disappointing
Review 42:Staff often speak only Hebrew Weird smell in some hotel areas Walk to the beach needed (although short)
Review 43:Location Food Swimming pool Beach Cleanliness
Review 44:When we arrived we had to wait couple of hours to get our room. They give us an upgrade to a JS, but it wasn't all that! It wasn't even ready. The hot water turned from hot to cold at 2am. We ended up moving to another room at 3am. None of the stuff helped us to move out staff. We ended up moving it ourselves. We had to carry our kids to the other room. While they were asleep. Can you imagine. At the end of the night the water was hot enough for us to get a decent shower, and the room was clean enough for us. The booking.com request it wasn't honored.
Review 45:We loved the swimming pool but we didn't like the life guard. He was very rude! The food was excellent, we did really enjoyed all 3 meals. The SPA was phenomenal! And the guest relation manager Yulia was very polite, comprehensive, understanding, and friendly.
Review 46:Bedroom furniture run down, frayed. Never got a fix when requesting drain in bathroom. Extortionate pricing for Wi-Fi.
Review 47:Location, view, parking. Good breakfast.
Review 48:Staff didn't know what to do with a booking mix up. We ordered a room with two double beds but didn't get it so our grown kids slept in the same bed. The corridor lights were out so we were unable to see to open the room doors, we complained about that but it didn't get fixed. Very impersonal. Complimentary wine in the rooms but no corkscrews.
Review 49:Largish room
Review 50:When I came to the hotel there was no one there ar the reception. Since it was the shabbat and I was coming from jerusalem I only got to the hotel at 10 at night.when I asked the manager for a little later check out he lied to me that the hotel was fully booked even though there was planty of room as I checked online as well as by the hotel.i had no time to go swimming or go to the sea it was a total waste of time and money. as well as I requested twin beds and not one single and what I got was a single which was not very comfortable for me and my friend to sleep in one bed. The room was Sandy the head bored of the bed was broken.
Review 51:All our requests at booking were ignored. We had to wait 2 hours to hetour pellows the food is just miserable rooms were dirty. The rooms needsome renovations: holes in bathtub etc... all spa, swimmingpools areclosed at 6pm and reopen at 8am. Ridiculous.when you are at the deadseafor juts that!! For $500 a night it is a ripoff
Review 52:restaurant tables are very close to one another terrible mattresses the Dead Sea water in the spa is extremely hot there are no balconies in most rooms
Review 53:good location tasty food large rooms no music around the pool area in the weekend
Review 54:The hotel lobby is nice but the rooms are disgusting. The first room was dirty and the air conditioning didn't work. They switched us to room that the safe didn't work, the fridge didn't work and the floor was covered in wet sticky stuff that we discovered when we took out shoes off. Finally the third room was livable. Our neighbor was playing music all night and we complained multiple times. They did not turn it off until 4am. My wife and I enjoy bowling and booked this hotel because they have a bowling alley on the 3rd floor. They failed to tell us until we arrived and paid that the bowling alley was closed due to it being "off season." The staff were rude for the entire trip. It was so bad that we tried to cancel our booking after the second gross room but the would not allow because they said we booked it through booking. Would not reccomend to my worse enemy.
Review 55:Overall, the staff were cordial and efficient although the dining room appeared to be understaffed and the waiters seemed somewhat harassed. The food was OK but unmemorable. Breakfast was better. Checkout at 11.00 was too early!
Review 56:The location was excellent and the room was clean and spacious. There was a reliable shuttle service to the beach every 20 minutes. The outdoor pool was magnificent.
Review 57:You eat dinner and the sound of the music is soooo laud. The elevatorsare always slow, dirty and noisy.very disappointed with this hotal although the location was good.
Review 58:We so enjoyed our stay. With a beautiful pool and direct access to the public beach and the hotel's private beach - along with well cared for rooms and very comfortable beds, Daniel comes very well recommended! We slept so well that we did not want to get out of bed. The staff was accommodating and informative, and spoke English.
Review 59:People in dripping bathing suits and barefoot all over the lobby and downstairs lobby. Floors were wet and very slippery. Rooms could have been a little cleaner. We found candy wrappers in the closet.
Review 60:Beautiful Hotel. Very dramatic lobby area and the pool area was so pretty. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful with so many choices.
Review 61:I cannot remember anything I or my wife didn't like. We were pleased with everything.

Review 122:Really nice location and great customer service. Rooms were clean food was great and overall very nice experience. Will definitely visit again!
Review 123:Poor Wi-fi reception plus you also have to pay for this service. Confusing: they reserve 700 NIS on your creditcard, but when you leave you pay the real price. I was 15 minutes late with checking out and a guy was already knocking at my door that I will be charged for that.. not a very hospitable gesture
