Reviews for B&B Palazzo Aprile
Review 1:Our hosts, the two Davids, could not have been more helpful, bending over backwards to meet our various needs. Good, top-floor apartment in cavernous old Sicilian palace, above street noise and with views over the roof-tops; minutes from food, the Scala and town centre. Drivers forget about parking outside but free, safe (barring the pigeons) parking really is only 5 minutes walk away (on the edge of town hence simple to re-find after a day out).
Review 2:Second floor apartment and when we check out there's nobody and we carry our luggage from 2.floor to the down:(
Review 3:Very good location, clean, big size room, quite street very close to the stairs and the great artistic ceramic shops that is the reason of choosen.
Review 4:Long stairs to get up, but owner also helps you with your luggage if you need it
Review 5:Very good location, right in the centre of town. Location in part of an old city-pallazzo Nice, spacious room with nice furniture owner is nice and helpful
Review 6:We found it hard to get a parking space close by in the historic centre. However the staff were really happy to advise.
Review 7:Fantastic central location, very close to the famous steps and in a lovely, atmospheric apartment building. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 8:- We got a non working key and were glad that one of the guys was still in the house. - Not a lot to do or see in town (apart from the stairs)
Review 9:- The location is great very close to the Scala. - We also had a great dinner in Il Locandiere (in the samen street) - Kind staff - Authentic old house (Palazzo), but be aware if the pigeons housing in the central hallway
Review 10:Like most of these old Sicilian hill-top towns, driving around and finding your way in and out is a nightmare. The long flights of stairs from the entrance is daunting, but thankfully the staff carried my wife's bag up.
Review 11:Really friendly and helpful staff, good room.
Review 12:Not the fault of the owners, but we found the place hard to find. We drove past three times, and had to navigate the narrow, one-way, manic hill-town streets. Parking is not easy although we did manage it in the end. The wonderful staircase from the entrance to the hotel may be difficult to manage for elderly or families with small children, but this should not be enough to put anyone off.
Review 13:The location of this place is actually excellent, very close to the main square and sights. The staff were very friendly and did everything to help us. The remains of the Palace really give the place some historic interest. Don't be put off by the entrance area ! The tourist centric pattisserie/cafe at the bottom of the steps is actually fantastic. Great local snacks and the thickest hot-chocholate we have ever seen. The staff there were also fab.
Review 14:The room was quite noisy when the doors on to the street below were open. It would be nice to have some fresh fruit available for breakfast to go with the yoghurt and croissant.
Review 15:The two guys running the place are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The place is right in the heart of the old town and within easy walking distance of lots of attractions.
Review 16:Eccentric plumbing.
Review 17:Spacious room in large second floor apartment of an elderly town palace, with a nice atmosphere of faded elegance. Right in the centre, 100 metres from the bottom of the mosaic steps.

Review 36:The host was extremely friendly and helpful. He had reserved a parking place for us, and he carried our bags upstairs, as the B&B had no elevator. The room was clean and comfortable for the three of us. The price was excellent.
Review 37:Breakfast was very basic. The historic villa was rather unkempt. There was no "legal" free public parking in the neighbourhood. We left our car in the street just outside the B&B and it was fine.
