Reviews for L'Isola Felice e Trulli Sotto Le Stelle
Review 1:No toiletries provided. We thought we would be staying in a Trullo but this was not the case. Information provided was a bit misleading.
Review 2:Beautiful setting. Good price. Excellent breakfast.
Review 3:At the time of reservation they don’t indicate that the trulli house is not in the same property and you have to drive back and forth to enjoy the pool or even have the continental breakfast provided. We were 4 adults and two children, one room was a good size with a queen bed but the other room they put two twin beds and you had to climb in and out of the bed, the put two twin beds in the living romm for the children; property is either going renovations or has never been finished, big tubes were the termosifoni (heaters) will go were expose, air conditioning and 10” tv didn’t work the first night, owner provided a new remote for the air conditioning the next day, one unit in the hallway and could not be cool the whole house, the tv was working once we came in, but as soon as we try to change the channel didn’t work anymore. No worth the 360 Euros we pay for two nights. We could have stayed right in Alberobello for the same price, we were trying to stay all together but in retrospective I wish we had stayed in Alberobello.
Review 4:Nice owner and staff Nice pool size at the L'Isola Felice
Review 5:nothing
Review 6:gorgeous trulli house, beautifully furnished and decorated inside, great facilities in and outside, owners very lovely and welcoming, close drive to Alberabello
Review 7:This B&B is in a remote but beautiful location, along a road lined with stone walls with olive orchards within. The owner was helpful, giving us a discount card to use at the Castellana Grotte and recommending an excellent restaurant only 2 km away. The room was a bit small, but comfortable enough. Because we wanted to make a 9 AM grotto tour, we were served breakfast before the normal 8:30 AM starting time. The breakfast was plentiful, with sweet and savory offerings, along with fresh fruit. We booked last minute and got a double room for half price; in my opinion, the room would not be worth full price. Our only problem with this hotel was the extremely uncomfortable bed. Because of this, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others.
Review 8:the pool is approx. 1km from the trulli house.
Review 9:Very pleasant stay in traditional trulli house set in the countryside. Excellent breakfast made by the owner herself. we can recommend it.
Review 10:This was is a very pretty location in the heart of Trulli country for our sightseeing. A very nice restaurant was recommended nearby. Breakfast was very nice. Helpful staff and a pool.
Review 11:I liked everything, however so everyone knows where they are going and don't complain...I thought we were staying in the trulli house when in fact there is only one to stay in and the rest are little apartments to the side of it. It was still nice, but we really wanted to be in the house and it could have just been a misunderstanding on our part when we booked.
Review 12:Everyone was VERY friendly and more than willing to help. We were able to try their homemade wine and olive oil and were delighted to bring some back with us. The property is very beautiful and relaxing and near everything we wanted to do. They were great about us taking our small 6 lb dog and she was kenneled a bit in the room while we were out. We would stay there again.
Review 13:The breakfast AND quietness
Review 14:Fresh local food
Review 15:location : quiet
Review 16:Not staying in actual trulli house (apartment on side) photos lead you to believe you are
Review 17:Price Friendly staff Good breakfast
Review 18:The trullo was small but confortable and with a surrounding lawn. Fresh and clean inside. Our breakfast was in another structure, but it was good.
Review 19:Very firm bed, not quite as described no robes and slippers and if the kitchen was shared it was not explained to access and use it. No comfortable seating in room. Both sitting area and kitchen appeared to be locked up when owners left. Location details could be described more clearly. Internet access was not available in the Trullo and difficult on site in general
Review 20:Fantastic opportunity to stay inside a Trullo.
Review 21:location too far from town.difficult to find without GPS (which we had luckily...).Not suitable to one night visitors!
Review 22:nice B&B ,romantic rooms, rich breakfast.
Review 23:It was not a problem for us, but consider mandatory to have a gps to getto the location. Toilet seat in our bathroom smelled really bad :( Iwould suggest less coloured decorations.
Review 24:Landmarks Good value for money Breakfast was ok Nice family owners
Review 25:The decor in the trulli was over the top; girly and gushing with fussy artificial flowers in every corner, romantic gold framed, glitter encrusted pictures, organza cushions and tulle wrapped beams and hangers and endless bric-a-brac. The breakfast arrangements were amateurish. There was an overabundance of sweet and sugery treats and not enough staples. Rather than a buffet arrangement, everybody's table was laid in advance with their apportioned amount of each food on offer; a yoghurt, some fruit, a piece of bruchetta, a slice of bread, a jam tart, a croissant, a piece of cake All this food was set out prior to people arriving for their meal. So your table was laid from some time before 8.30 am and you might not arrive for your breakfast until two hours later. The many dishes prelaid on each table resulted in a mix of tableware being used, some ofmelamine with garish designs, some plain white delft. Similarly, some chairs were wooden rustic style and some were the cheapest of plastic patio chairs. The website advertises that bikes are available on site for use by guests. There are four mountain bikes. They all had flat tires, rusty chains and frozen gears. They appeared not to have been used or maintained all season.
Review 26:It is in the depths of olive grove trulli country. There is a definite away from it all feel to the place.
Review 27:There's free bicycle rent, but bikes had no maintenance, flat tires. It's required to call owners at arrival - looks common for agrotourismo facilities.
Review 28:This trullos ans rooms are situated in silent counryside with olive trees fields around. Easy to get by car, good location to travel around (Alberobello, Castelana Grotte, Polignano a Mare, etc.) It's very impressive feeling to live in a trullo!
Review 29:Take into account that the hotel is very outlying from the center. You really need a car.
Review 30:The trulli we had was very beautifull! You have your own terrace and swimmingpool nearby. Very relaxing and quite.
Review 31:The trullo for 4 adults and 2 children is about 1km from the pool. Thisparticular trullo did not feel quite finished (switches not working, some exposed wires)and had an odd collection of furniture (a table toseat 4 but 10 dining room chairs in the room)
Review 32:The staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful andgood quality. The trullo had lots of space both indoors and outdoors.
Review 33:It was not clear in the description that the swimming pool was not at the location we were staying -they have 2 properties, it was about 1km away, but the pool was very nice.
Review 34:The owner Angelica was very very helpful! We arrived late at night extremely tired and did not want to go out to find a restaurant, so she drove off into the night to the other venue they have down the road and brought us back wine and snacks. So nice of her!!!! Also the B and B is hard to find, on a very narrow country lane, so she drove out to meet us.
Review 35:It was not possible to have a morning swimm in the pool. The door was locked. Don't ask for a glass of rose wine at the swimming pool, it will cost you a fortune.
Review 36:Nice swimming pool.
Review 37:Shops for food , drinks or restaurants , pizzerias are at least 3 km ,so you always need a car.
Review 38:The style of house( white stone)the romantic and large bathroom, theexistance of o freezer. The house is built in a large garden with olivesand sweet cherry trees, the variety of breakfasts.
Review 39:Beds too hard and noise from one room easily heard in another. The suite fashioned after the Trulli is separate, so this would be a good choice for those wanting total quiet. It is very beautiful.
Review 40:Beautiful grounds, quiet, and surrounded by narrow roads and olive orchirds. The breakfast was quite generous. Plenty of space to relax, especially around the pool. Great location for visiting the grotto, Alberbobello and Polignano a Mare. Hosts most accommodating and helpful.
Review 41:It is a relaxing location, I can say 4 stars. It has a botanical garden in the courtyard, swimming pool, is superb. It is a location if you have a car.
Review 42:There wasnt even a glass to have a drink of water and when we tried tocontact the owner of the establishment , no one was there. The breakfastroom was locked so we had to drive in to town to buy a paper cup! Simplethings like this needs to be addressed. No tea or coffee facilites as weare used to in Australia
Review 43:Was only 50 euro for the night, booked this on line and found itmisleading, not an authentic truli, a replica of recent origin and theroom we orignally booked (but changed on seeing it) was not a truli buta small room, between truli and house. Nicely done but small.a little wayout of town with nice views. The bed was strange, hard and set insidethe frame and rattled with any movement, water in shower was inconsitant
Review 44:Breakfast was not good at all.
Review 45:A very comfortable trullo in a very beautiful and quite place
