Review 8：Our room had an incredible view over Lake Como and towns on the other side of the lake. It was picture perfect. The room was large, including the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant also had the same amazing views across the lake and the food was excellent. The hotel is located right near the ferry which goes to Como in one direction, or Bellagio and Varenna in the other.

Review 9：The procedure for unlocking the hotel door was not explained. The lock on the door is not used for unlocking the door; instead there is a small black box separate to the door in a dark place on the wall that you need to turn in order to unlock the door. There is no night staff off season and when we returned at midnight, we spent almost 30 minutes trying to figure out how to open the front door thinking we would sleep outside... This small incident did not in any way spoil our stay and we had a great time.

But make sure you check in on time as they close the check in bit early. Breakfast was good and staff was very polite.

Review 21：Room was right next to the highway so traffic noise. Few amenities in the room -- no luggage rack, no counter space in the bathroom to put toiletries, a tiny desk with no power outlet to recharge my laptop, no glasses, cups or kettle to make your own coffee and tea, only a single tiny plastic cup in the bathroom (for 2 people), no English cable TV channels. Food in the restaurant was bad -- breakfast of cereal, yogurt, tasteless bread and hard-boiled eggs. Dinner was expensive and poor (shrimp smelling of ammonia) -- eat nearby at La Piazzetta instead!

Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and the location overlooking the lake makes a great setting for an evening meal and breakfast. There are nice touches like a free aperitif. The parking is easy and WiFi fine. The hotel has that feeling of faded glamour that is Italy at its charming best. Add some nice weather and enjoy.

Unfortunately, however, the fitness room was very limited (no free weights or workout area) and hot, it seems the thermostat was not working well that week. Our bathroom spa did not work properly, it made a high-pitched screeching noise when turned on. When leaving Bellagio, the staff was supposed to bring our bags to the pier 15 minutes before our boat departed, but they were late and we missed our boat.

Food from room service was very good and the breakfast buffet was also nice, but it would have been good to have low-fat milk and yogurt options. We had a junior suite on the first floor, which has a large terrace with lounge chairs as well as a table and chairs and a spectacular view. Our room had windows on three sides, which made particularly nice, and we liked the decor.

Review 64：This is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore Lake Como. The staff is very attentive, everything is kept in perfect condition. The rooms are large and clean, beautiful views of the lake from the outside patio. There is a ferry boat station right next to the hotel from where you can travel to any other parts of the lake. The family room for 2 adults and 2 kids is actually a two bedroom suite, which totally exceeded our expectations. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it 12.

But when we arrived we were requested to pay additional 35 eur/person/per night for two of us as it was stated that this type of room is for 2 persons! Moreover this room is very small and has only one entrance and one small bathroom, so actually it is two bedrooms aparts (without kitchen) Breakfast was poor in quality (except fruits) and assortment. Restaurant staff was unfriendly. So overall we definitely wouldn’t advise to stay in this hotel (maybe in suites you’ll get better attitude)

Review 83：The hotel is very small, but the parking lot is even smaller. They do not have enough parking spaces to accommodate the number guest they could have a one time. You may have to pay for parking outside of the gates.

Review 84：Fantastic views of the lake and the staff were very helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and food was almost as good as the view of the lake. The entire dining area sits over the edge of the water and the glass panels can slide completely out of view to make it open air.

The food was great and we couldn't wait to get back to drinks on the terrace after a busy day sight seeing - the hotel is perfectly situated close to the boat stop and also 2 mins walk from town with a good choice of restaurants.

Review 86：We stayed at the Belvedre Suit. The most beatiful location in Lake Como. 1 meter from the waves.. Great & Helpful staff Very good breakfast Location is very close to Mennagio and the ferries to all around the lake.

Review 87：Wifi was patchy even in the communal areas. Our mountain view quadruple room was somewhat damp but very clean otherwise. The parking policy is a little strange as they close the gates at 22:30 so if you arrive later you have to park outside of the hotel. The staff are ever so obliging to park your car for you in the hotel grounds in the morning if you leave your key with them but it's still a concern. Also, once the gates close it's a little tricky to get in the hotel as we couldn't figure out which keys we should use to open the gates so we rang the bell and they let us in (the reception was not manned at the time so it must have been opened remotely).

Review 88：The restaurant of this hotel is right next to the lake and has wonderful views to lose yourself in gazing at whether over breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, due to its location being away from the road and sheltered by it from the rest of the hotel, the road noise is hardly noticeable. The staff and service standard was impeccable and made our stay even more enjoyable! We stayed in a room with a mountain view which despite being over the main road around the lake, had excellent sound proofing that made the road noise not an issue.

Was going to stay in the Menaggio hostel, but was closed for off season. Worked out fantastically for me!

Review 112：Breakfast is VERY basic. Mattress is pretty soft and not that comfortable, and the walls of the rooms are very thin. If the neighbors were not quiet, we could hear them very well. Although the place has a great view of the lake and the helpful staff, the it feels overpriced. Last, during our stay they had hosted a wedding, and they asked us to move our car (they did help us move the car and suggested to do it for us). In addition, the wedding was very loud (like a wedding should be) until 8PM. This feels like something that needs to be announced at the time of booking and not by surprise while we're already staying at the hotel.

Review 117：Hotel Villa Belvedere is set in an idyllic location on Lake Como. Our room was located on the ground floor & we had our own private outdoor setting on the deck beside the lake. The views were breathtaking.The staff were extremely helpful especially in assisting in a special birthday celebration. Our 3 nights here were the favourite of our holiday & we would return at the first opportunity.

Review 118：The meal served to my husband on our second visit was very disappointing and not to the standard set the previous evening. The fritto misto served did not have an appropriate quantity of seafood for a main meal. My meal was ok, but not quite the same as previous evening. We were disappointed.

Review 119：Well located, safe parking easy to access. The reception staff are so helpful and welcoming. In fact all the staff here are just lovely. We both. really enjoyed our first dinner in the restaurant, so much that we returned the following evening, the waiting staff were excellent.

Review 120：Be careful to not select the family style room, 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom. It is at the back of the building directly beside the road and VERY noisy. We ended up buying ear plugs as we were staying several nights. Rooms on the lake do not have this problem. Considering the number of staff that work behind the desk, the service is pretty ordinary and it was sometimes hard even to find someone to help us. It has a fairly 'corporate' feel for what should be a more relaxed holiday location.

Review 121：The Belvedere is in a great location on the lake and is easily accessible by ferry or bus and has parking. The lakeside views are magnificent and the dining area and most rooms enjoy this. There is a pleasant area for outside seating. The rooms we had were spacious enough for all our luggage and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is good and the staff in the dining room were terrific.
