Reviews for Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel
Review 1:The spa was a bit too expensive on my opinion
Review 2:The food was so fresh and tasty, very big choice. The location is great, with a private beach. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The view is fantastic.
Review 3:bathtub in room a bit small with poor water pressure
Review 4:service was excellent ,. room on the moab floor was spacious with spectacular views of dead sea. . spa treatment was excellent. the business lounge with coffee machines and refreshments was superb. the ranch restaurant was . delicious with excellent service.
Review 5:The breakfast buffet was terrific. All other food, including in the restaurants, was not worth the price. Staff could not speak English, including at reception desk and in the bar/restaurants, which is a shame--many other travelers from Europe and US had a difficult time communicating with staff. The steak house is a joke. Avoid it at all costs. The spa area, including sulfur and heated pool, is very small.
Review 6:I loved the location across from the sea, though development in the area makes things loud and a bit of an eyesore. I loved the spa and the size/view from the rooms. The hotel was clean and large. Though most areas lock down after dark, including the outdoor grounds.
Review 7:Check-in took very long and I was the only guest. The staff was friendly though.
Review 8:If you want a modern hotel on the Israeli side of the dead sea, look no further. Great views from the room, huge swimming pool and good beach area which is less crowded than other hotels.
Review 9:The standard rooms had not very comfortable mattresses and needed some updating of the facilities.
Review 10:Nice lobby, very nice beach at the dead see and very nice spa in the hotel.
Review 11:-no washcloth in bathroom -low bed -horrible pillows
Review 12:Breakfast and dinner buffet were of good quality. Wine/beer included in rate with dinner buffet. Lounge areas were comfortable.
Review 13:I found the spa treatment expensive compared to the room price. Reservation stated "Standard Double or Twin Room with Balcony and Sea View " but room 129 view was on the swimming pool.
Review 14:comfortable room, excellent restaurant (choice, staff), helpful staff, excellent spa treatment
Review 15:Room furniture is extremely old and beaten up, floor carpets are very dirty and awfull, not suitable for hotels.
Review 16:Only Dead Sea is good, beach is public, anyone might be there, not private
Review 17:The buffet dinner cost 220 nis per person, but you don't have any other choice because there are no restaurants in the dead sea, and no alternative in the hotel either especially on weekends. simple ice cream in the swimming pool 20 nis! First they gave us a handicap room that wasn't very clean and had a feeling of a hospital, after we asked to change our room we finally had a normal room.
Review 18:The spa and the beach.
Review 19:The beach is under renovation, but excellent beach is available to use for the hotel guests just next door.
Review 20:Honestly, I liked everything in this hotel, for the same price, it's the best one I stayed in Israel. Very friendly staff, nice facilities, across the street from the beach, good wifi, very good room, excellent breakfast.
Review 21:Awful check in and check out service. Totally understaffed. Felt very sorry for staff working as huge queues developed both times. Given there were extra check in desks unused, it looks like management don't want to spend money on hiring more staff despite being a 5* resort. Also very limited toiletries in the bathroom and the Television in the room was very poor quality. Again, very surprising for a 5* hotel. Parking also quite limited. In my opinion, given the boiling temperatures, it would make sense to have underground parking (if this was feasible).
Review 22:Great location and nice pool. Good selection at breakfast and nice entertainer in the evening.
Review 23:Sadly, the food in the main dining room was very expensive and terrible. Dry, grilled steak tips drenched in sauce is not "asado". When the server tried to put a very fatty piece of lamb he was carving on my plate he got angry when I rejected the piece and asked for a different piece. Wine and beer included with dinner is a nice touch. Breakfast was nothing special.
Review 24:The facility is beautiful. The pool is large and clean. Beach on the Dead Sea is very nice.
Review 25:Dining room experience was less than enjoyable. Harassed staff, overly busy and poor signage in the dining room. Not Isrotel's usual standard. Perhaps will be better when the private beach is sorted out.
Review 26:Convenient location and spacious sitting area. Pleasant nightly entertainment.
Review 27:the customer experience and service by staff was terrible, and not very nice accommodation for the amount of money paid, extremely run down.
Review 28:The pool is perfect
Review 29:We personally didn't have an issue with this since no construction was going on during our stay (Shabbat + Chag) but just beware that there is construction going on along the beach front at the moment. Room service was a tad on the slow side but we were overall very happy with our stay.
Review 30:Great facilities with a wonderful spa that includes a salt water pool. The array of food is great at breakfast and dinner.
Review 31:Only carters to Jewish people I understand the Jewish weekend but people come from all over the world to visit.therefore should be more choice for restaurants and food.
Review 32:Over all hotel nice for the location.
Review 33:It is essential to ask for room in the left part of the hotel - we (unfortunately) had a room on the 3rd floor) in the right part overlooking freight entrance and listened to car horns all the time including late evenings and early mornings. Hotel staff was friendly and willing to help, although registration process took far too long (we've informed that we are travelling with the child, however the hotel seemed not to have this info when we arrived, so it took some time to amend reservation and the price).
Review 34:Location of the hotel is perfect, quality / cleanness of room as well. Convenient shuttles to the hotel beach, although it is not that far (5 min max).
Review 35:The speed of the Wi-Fi is exceedingly slow. To get a decent connection you need to pay extra.
Review 36:Top quality in most aspects. The hotel provide a doctor to help the visitors with any issues at no charge which is most unusual.
Review 37:Upon arrival at room we found the bath had used open shampoo container and soap left in the dish. No slippers. Zero bottled water in room. Patio door lock broken - unlock able, and insecure. Kosher food restrictions on weekend. No toaster available ever. Restaurant drink taps not labeled. One the one day fried eggs available, the line blocked access to other buffet items - poorly managed restaurant. Pool closed at 5 pm. Children allowed to run wild and disturb and disrupt an otherwise fair dinner experience. Surrounding area lacks entertainment and restaurants.
Review 38:Pool bar manger was very polite and helpful.
Review 39:Food was plentiful but average. Room had a running toilet, sheets that didn't fit the bed, shower head that was not positioned right to get the person wet and a TV that needed repair. The gym was a big disappointment--1 elliptical for the entire hotel??
Review 40:Location, facilities, staff. We had a nice time.
Review 41:Reception Manager Shechar Edry on check in was rude and unprofessional, it took him 20 mins to check us in, but finally he charged the credit card twice for accomodation, and the whole weekend was devoted to proving the hotel staff that they have to return my money back. The staff is extremely unprofessional.
Review 42:I always wonder why the expensive hotels like this are not able to offer free wifi. Is it technically complicated or they are just greedy.
Review 43:comfortable, quiet, its luxurios spa district in the middle of nowhere, rather for elderly people
Review 44:amazing stay unfortunately due to family problems we had to cut our holiday short, Vadim from the front desk help a lot made our stay and departure stress free
Review 45:No direct access to the beach, major turn off. Better beds like "W" or Marriott would be nice.
Review 46:Isrotel is one of the better properties you will find. There are no true 5 star hotels and this is at best a 4 minus. Buffet Breakfast and dinner is very good.
Review 47:We were traveling with our 6'1" 17 year old son and while the room was a 2 room suite, his pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable. Our bed was great, but can do more for that third person. There was a bar in the middle and the mattress was very thin. For the price we paid, towels could be newer and thicker.
Review 48:Good buffet, great location to Masada. Across the street from their private beach. Good pool, but could be opened later.
Review 49:Everything 5 Star, Hotel, staff, food, bedrooms. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.
Review 50:Luxury, every evening have a jolly time. Clean hotel and politeness people. Dinner and Food also great.
Review 51:Few of the staff speak english. You can probably get along much better if you speak russian or hebrew.
Review 52:Good buffet Nice dead sea water pool
Review 53:We like everything about this hotel. Special regards to Irina from the reception desk who made our stay at Isrotel Hotel extremely pleasant.
Review 54:Rooms were very dirty and carpets stuck to your feet. The price we paid of £500 for two rooms was absolute disgrace.
Review 55:Food okay
Review 56:Beach
Review 57:The Staff and facilities were excellent!
Review 58:Everything was perfect! Loved our stay!
Review 59:great breakfast and pool
Review 60:Pool closed too early and it was still beautiful outside.
Review 61:Next to the Dead Sea! Breakfast was awesome.
Review 62:Beach wasn't ready
Review 63:Room , shower common facilities
Review 64:mids of remodeling the beach and shuttle service wasnt always on time and . the other beach was only available after 7 and we like to go earlier.
Review 65:We where charged 18% VAT on top of Booking price!
Review 66:Service of hotel is bad. Nobody cares
Review 67:the private beach was closed
Review 68:night live music
Review 69:Difficult to have treatments, always booked
Review 70:A peaceful 2 days rest. Excellent facilities
Review 71:not at seaside
Review 72:Big spacious hotel
Review 73:Building work on beach, asked for high floor ,given room on 2nd in corner, not good
Review 74:the breakfest uneatable, the staff unfriendly everything was really unreasonably low level stink and not comfortable.
Review 75:Nothing
Review 76:No free Wi-Fi
Review 77:Food, facilities & a nice large room (35 m2)
Review 78:The towers smell a little
Review 79:The privacy
Review 80:Good location, nice staff and comfortable room
Review 81:Hotel is a bit old plus food wasn't too impressive
Review 82:Overall stay was satisfying
Review 83:It's a good 4 star hotel, not a 5. There is room for improvement, otherwise it was good
Review 84:No free wifi
Review 85:Excellent hotel great spa and pool area
Review 86:Ordering this hotel for israelies via booking is too expensive, better to order via local sites
Review 87:location, swimming pool, clean hotel very good breakfast, staff
Review 88:No parking, the quality of the food is poor and very expensive.
Review 89:Good location. Pool and spa are good.
Review 90:very slippery while going into the spa
Review 91:Staff was very pleasant.
Review 92:great view of the Dead Sea right on the sea beautiful pool delicious breakfast comfortable beds clean
Review 93:No wi-fi in the lobby no drinking water in the room .
Review 94:Food was good
Review 95:Nothing. Had a great time.
Review 96:Great facilities and the staff were more than helpful.
Review 97:Pool is closed by 6:00 pm
Review 98:Proximity to the Dead Sea
Review 99:Only thing under par was laundry room. Not nice. Need to paint it. Put in nice table and chairs. Put laundry soap in nice container. Make room nice. I was there over hour. ALSO, your staff were arguing loudly including swear words. I could hear everything.
Review 100:Loved all. Amazing room with view. Staff great. Talked to me in Hebrew requiring them to speak לעת לעת.
Review 101:Totally overpriced (USD 400) for a room facing parking lot, inexistent balcony and service. If you speak Russian you might get yourself understood- otherwise forget about it. Terrible experience
Review 102:This is an expensive hotel. There is no reason they should charge for wifi, or not at least have it be complementary in the lobby. I also found it unfair that the hotel room price did not include access to the spa- sulphur baths, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. You only get access to the pool. There is also no mud available by the dead sea, you need to purchase this separately as well. Its annoying to pay so much for a hotel and then not have all of the amenities included. The rooms were a little shabby and not what I would consider 5*.
Review 103:The staff were extremely friendly and the pools are excellent. The breakfast is also spectacular.
Review 104:The only thing we didn't like was the music around the pool on one day which was loud and strident. As soon as we mentioned it to a member of staff it was made quieter!
Review 105:The hotel was comfortable and the staff unfailingly pleasant and helpful without being stuffy and overbearing. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay.
Review 106:- Hotel Service and Staff - Facilities were outdated - We were told prior to booking the reservation that VAT was included in the total price and when we arrived - it "magically" was not! That was an additional 18% on top of what we already paid! - They ran out of spots in their parking lot and we were told to park in an illegal spot and received a ticket from the local municipality! When we called to complain, the answer given to us by the staff was that "Yes, this happens quite often." - We asked for late checkout and management would only comply if we paid an additional charge of 150 shekels. - There wasn't enough space for all hotel guests during the weekend - not enough outside or indoor seating area - Cleanliness was an issue at the spa and gym I will not be returning to this hotel anytime soon.
Review 107:Food and Location
Review 108:It's not 5-star hotel we stayed with couple years ago. Different staff, facilities are the same but old, prices go up, too many russians.
Review 109:Location, brend
Review 110:Even though we had paid over USD 300 per night for our room we were still expected to pay for access to the salt water pool. Whereas the hotel next door had cheaper room rates, it looked nicer and it was free access to the wider range of pools. We ended up going there instead of our hotel. Plus advice we requested from our hotel reception staff was poor.
Review 111:The room had a balcony looking onto the dead sea. The indoor salt pool was relaxing. The Israeli breakfast was very good.
Review 112:arrange proper coffee on the rooms and maybe free internet - but this is actually not so important
Review 113:we stayed at four different dead sea hotels ... this one was the one we can truly recommend. Not because of the facilities - they are more or less always the same (although the Isrotel has the best ones here too ...) - its the athmosphere and the friendly staff that make this hotel the best one at the Dead Sea
Review 114:Price per room and for the dinner is higher than indicated on booking.com__________________ Цена за номер и за ужин выше чем указана на booking.com
Review 115:Will be cheaper if you pay hotel in USD on check-in Work spa from 8:00 - 20:00 Breakfast from 7:00, dinner from 18:30 Various and qualified food for the buffet, it makes sense to order and dinner______________ Выйдет дешевле если оплатить отель в долларах на check-in Работа спа с 8:00 - 20:00 Завтрак с 7:00, Ужин с 18:30 Разнообразная и качественная еда для шведского стола, есть смысл заказывать и ужин
Review 116:The lobby had an overpowering odor of terrible air freshener that made us run through it. The only decent dining option is the poolside restaurant, which only serves lunch. The rooms on the executive floors need refreshing, and charging for internet on the executive floor is offensive.
Review 117:Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel was the best hotel we have had the pleasure to stay. The suite overlooking the Dead Sea was fabulous. We will return to this place again.
Review 118:The food is terrible. And, if you book through booking.com, you arecharged twice what people who book through the hotel website pay for adinner. Do not book for meals! Eat in town -- the food is better andmuch cheaper.
Review 119:Clean bright hotel. Moirah made the stay wonderful.
Review 120:The hotel quality become lower. Room rates absurdly high in such a bad condition of the rooms. Suffered a great disappointment.
Review 121:the spa is still very good.
Review 122:However the floors in the whole hotel were dangerous – very slippery. The staff in the restaurant was not professional, they were forgetting things, bringing wrong orders and drinks, they did not speak English very well. Food was ok.
Review 123:The location of the hotel is perfect. We were happy with the location as well as the amenities.
Review 124:As staying guests at the executive suits, we feel that the menu provided at the lounge is a little meagre. Especially the evening menu, where only cakes and sweets were available. We feel that free wifi should also be available to the executive guests who after all pay a little more. As we arrived early our room was not ready, but the desk advised us That they will contact us on our mobile to advise us when ready. That never eventuated as after one and half hours we checked to find that the room was ready for sometime.
Review 125:The pool and surrounding area with garden and views are sublime. We particularly loved the pool to cool off after a swim in the Dead Sea. The proximity to the beach side approx 250 metres is an easy walk, and if you are really lazy a shuttle service is provided to and from the beach every 20 minutes or so. The food at the restaurant covers all tastes and is short of nothing. First class five star dining experience. The executive lounge also provides a smaller menu but witha stunning vista. Free wifi at the ground lobby. We think that if you are staying at the executive suites that free wifi should be available to those guests as well.
Review 126:We were charged for bottled water which we hadn't used. When we arrivedin our room upon check-in there was one bottle of water. We never usedit. The next day there were four bottles of water! I think they assumedwe had used the missing bottles, when in fact, the room was just notready for us (I assume) when we arrived, since the water hadn't beenreplaced and the shower was dirty. Upon check-out, however, a very nicegentleman (a trainee) deducted the incorrect charges for water, which Iappreciated.
Review 127:The proximity to Massada and the beach was great. We were never told atcheck in not to drink the tap water. Not until the next morning did welearn to get drinking water in a closet by the elevator. The breakfastwas very good. The room was not as high-end as I had expected for theprice. There was shampoo from a previous guest all over the walls of theshower...eek! I do feel that when tap water isn't safe for drinking, truly classy hotels offer free bottled water.
