Reviews for Currane Lodge
Review 1:We loved staying here. The views were picturesque. Breakfast was homemade and delicious we had pancakes and eggs flemish. The pancakes were huge and so yummy. Eggs flemish were delicious. I've already tried to make it at for myself at home. We wanted to spend two days exploring the Rings of Kerry, and this was the perfect spot to spend the night. The room we stayed in was huge with a bathroom. Everything was clean and homey and we enjoyed the pete fire in the main room. We went in November and we didn't have a lot of information about what we were seeing, but the owners were a wealth of knowledge. They spent a lot of time telling us about interesting points to see and some great history.
Review 2:Lovely B&B with a beautiful lake view, very quiet and relax area, very close to Waterville by car. Ann was very friendly and helpful. Best breakfast ever, amazing the scones :) we highly recommend her house ++++++
Review 3:Ann was a lovely host and the dinner and breakfast we had were amazing! Definitely recommend having dinner at the Currane lodge, we asked on the day we arrived and Ann kindly prepared fish and chips for us although we were a bit late to ask. View is really nice and its a short walk to the lake where you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Would stay again!

Review 11:nothing
Review 12:The food was beautiful, Ann was wonderfully helpful, and the location was beautiful. I would highly recommend this to any type of traveller who wants to relax and unwind in comfort. You will get a good insight to Irish sensibilities if you stay a while.
Review 13:The shower didn't have a box or a curtain, therefore the bathroom's floor was constantly wet.

Review 17:To be honest, nothing.
Review 18:We enjoyed our stay at the Currane Lodge. There is an amazing landscape and a awesome breakfast is provided. You can choose from 7 meals and fresh scones and pastries are also provided. The landlady is very kind and very helpful to discover the Ring of Kerry off the beaten paths... Overall, we think that this is one of the best B&Bs we stayed so far.
Review 19:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Currane Lodge. Beautiful location by the Currane lake - peaceful & quiet with a gorgeous view. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a genuine Irish experience- the host (Ann) was lovely & helpful - she spent 1 h at breakfast with us sharing interesting facts about Irish history & culture. Would definitely go again!
Review 20:The staff were very friendly, helpful and superb at their job. Currane Lodge is in a most beautiful location, it is spotlessly clean and we totally enjoyed our stay there, we would highly recommend staying there if travelling in the area.
Review 21:Ann was most welcoming and very helpful with advice and tips as to what to see, where to go and where to eat. The house is in a beautiful, quiet location on the shores of Lake Currane, a few miles from Waterville. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh. I would highly recommend this B and B and hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did.
Review 22:This really isn't a "didn't like", it's more of a "letting you know what to expect". This B&B is in a speck of a town called Waterville, about half way along the Ring of Kerry (a must-do drive in Ireland) and this B&B is in a remote area. The rooms are clean, but modest, and you will feel like you are staying in a room in someone's house. We had a nice stay, but I know that others would feel uncomfortable if they expected different. I definitely recommend not rushing the Ring of Kerry drive and staying somewhere half way through so you can really enjoy the sights.
Review 23:The view is incredible. I wish we'd had time to explore the island with the old monastery and bee hive huts. The innkeeper, Ann, was very sweet and makes a delicious traditional Irish breakfast complete with homemade scones!
Review 24:Ann was lovely! And what a wonderful baker!! She gave us tips on what to see, where to go to eat, just all around friendly and helpful! When asked if we liked raisins in our scones, and one said 'yes' and one said 'no', she made both - hot out of the oven! When I travel back to Ireland with my husband, we will definitely stay again!
