Reviews for Hotel Fotini
Review 1:There was not good wi-fi connection in our room and the bathroom was without any logical architectural explanation extremely small.
Review 2:The stuff was excellent and the room very spacious! The proximity to the sea was definetely a plus as well as the view from our room.
Review 3:The only problem is the street noise but it is not a big one.
Review 4:The room is spacious, clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and always there for the guests.
Review 5:This hotel seems by it's street name to be by the sea. Actually the street named in the address winds up behind and beside the hotel, and another even busier one is in-front. The combined noise from traffic, including HGVs was very loud. This persisted during the night, making sleep difficult The bed was so hard I had a bruise on my hip in the morning. To buy something to eat, I had to walk along the busy road with no pavement, with cars flashing their lights at me. I explained all this, and told the receptionist that I needed to find and move to another named hotel. I asked to speak with an English speaking manager, but none was available. Later on the Manager came the to the hotel whose name I had left with the receptionist. I told him I was happy to pay for the night I stayed there, and tried to explain why I cold not remain. He did not want to listen, and wanted me to pay more money. He shouted and threatened to call the police. This was my last day in Greece. I am a woman in my late 60's, with many pleasant experieces of travelling abroad. But this day's experience was very scary.
Review 6:A little far from town centre, about 30 m walk but five in a car
Review 7:Great pool, friendly staff, free onsite parking. Spacious room with balcony and kitchenette. 5 mins walk to beach
Review 8:The breakfast was not included :( and if you ask they prepare at the moment.
Review 9:Nice Hotel just near to the beach, good staff and the room was really clean. Amazing view of the sea!
Review 10:The hotel owns a very bad wi-fi connection. During the night the refrigerator in the room was too noisy. The normal time of preparation of my breakfast was around 20 minutes.
Review 11:Nice hotel in a comfortable position with a beautiful swimming pool. The room was enough large and with a good air conditioner.
Review 12:Needs urgent overall! Archaic furniture and decor. Awful bathroom with the smallest shower I have ever seen. Mould in the bathroom too. Not the cleanest place either.Limited self catering facilities - not even a tea towel to dry up our few items of crockery and cutlery. The smell of cigarette smoke is very bad in the reception area as the manager smokes. We made the error of not requesting 2 rooms near each other when making the booking for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers but I believed the hotel was informed that we had teenagers with us so I was surprised to see we were given rooms on 2 floors which of course couldn't be changed by the manager. What annoyed me was his fairly aggressive attitude and later my daughter heard him complaining about me to the receptionist at the reception desk. The pool is good but no beach towels are provided. We stayed in 4 locations in Greece and this was by far the worst hotel we stayed in. Disappointing as it has the potential to be much better.l
Review 13:Pool, location
Review 14:The main reason we picked up this hotel is that it is advertized that it has a parking IN a hotel. That's NOT true. They have it, but they use ONLY for the employees cars, and/or carrying out the garbage from the hotel (being the parking has a big elevator). The guests' cars are directed to a "parking behind the hotel"?!?, which is technically right, but in fact it is a separate parking, in another street, in which is, due to one-way system, is very difficult to get in (circles and circles of driving). Finally, they let us use the parking inside the hotel only because my wife has a moving dissability and needs medical care all the time. Thanks for that at least, but the point is quite different.
Review 15:We like the location and the room.
Review 16:When we booked this property we understood it was close to the centre if town. It actually took 1 hour to walk or we had to catch a bus which stopped at 10.30 at night. The details were misleading and although it was close to the sea we needed to be more central. Could use a kettle in the room
Review 17:The room was large as was the balcony which had a good view.
Review 18:Only booked for 4 nights. Could not extend my stay as hotel fully booked.
Review 19:The location. Few minutes to bus stop into town and short walk to the beach and good taverna. Very good pool. Views of the sea and mountains. Lidl supermarket nearby. Stoupa bus passes hotel.
Review 20:The beds.
Review 21:Loved the location. Near a hop on hop off bus stop which was an easy way to see the sites of Athens. Close to the express airport bus and ports.
Review 22:Can't think of anything , very good value standard hotel with great views over bay
Review 23:Always like a pool and Fotin's is excellent good size, clean and comfortable furniture
Review 24:The pool without water was a bit dissappointing. If a pool is advertised in the pictures, you would expect to have the possibility for a swim.
Review 25:Great location, free parking, wifi, big room, friendly staff
Review 26:Some road noise.
Review 27:Pool and cleanliness could not be faulted at all. Staff were friendly and wifi was available as were drinks and breakfast. Some road noise, but close to beach and restaurants.
Review 28:Nothing provided for washing up plates and cutlery and never cleaned by staff, not good for self catering. Fridge turns off when the key is removed from the door, so whenever you leave the hotel...! No iron provided and just one to share between all guests.
Review 29:Staff are pleasant and helpful. The pool area was clean and tidy and rooms are a decent size.
Review 30:No evening food available.... but that wasn't expected anyway.
Review 31:Comfy bed, good sized room, good breakfast and welcoming staff. Pool looks good...in season
Review 32:Friendly staff that did anything to help the stay be comfortable.
Review 33:Since the hotel is located between two busy streets, some traffic sound is probably unavoidable. However, the value for money ratio for this hotel is really great!
Review 34:We had a short one-day stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and has a well-organized small kitchen with all necessary facilities and a basic set of cookware. With a large grocery just a few meters away, one can easily organize a meal at home as an alternative to (also wonderful) restaurants in the city. The best thing in our room was a (real) king-size bed with a proper king-size mattress (as opposed to two 1.5-size mattresses offered sometimes by more expensive hotels).
Review 35:Manager totally tone deaf as far as hospitality is concerned and to guests' disgust with his smoking in the lobby and adjacent office. He doesn't speak any other language but Greek. Young girls at the desk speak fair English and try hard, but they are poorly trained in hospitality. The beds are for those who enjoy sleeping on ultra hard mattresses. All the kitchen stuff is the smallest and/or cheapest one can find. Low cost no quality Micky Mouse mentality by owners shows disrespect for responsible guests comfort expectations. The shower is about 65 x 65 Centimeter in area. Shower curtain is another Micky Mouse contraption and we had to remove to get a decent shower experience. Be prepared for a wet bathroom experience.
Review 36:Nice pool. Frequent changes of bed linen and towels. Friendly smiles on all non-management staff's faces, blue skies, sun and the beaches close to the hotel.
Review 37:wifi variable
Review 38:I liked the view of the Messinian bay, the room was clean and comfortable. Easy to arrive by car or autobus, being a little distante from the town. It's close to a very well aquiped and wonderfoul beach. If I return to Calamata for Summer vacationsI lI' return to Hotel Fotini

Review 82:Excellent room and kitchen facilities. Also included coffee making material, such as coffee, milk and sugar.
Review 83:claustrophobic bathroom
Review 84:price, location
Review 85:Shower curtain was poorly installed, and was all the time opening.Excess water was flowing OUTSIDE OF BATHROOM, and not in drain holes, so I flood all room in very short time. Heater is quite old and no airconditioning.
Review 86:Near Kalamata, apartments have separate entrance from outside, small kitchen, fridge. Wifi ocasionally was not working but generally good. Staff friendly and ready to help.
Review 87:Tired furnishings and decor. Needed an upgrade and was rather shabby. Ordinary breakfast.
Review 88:Convenient location and has self-catering facilities. Nice swimming pool.
Review 89:Not a quit location on a rather busy road
Review 90:Excellent location for trips with the car and for visiting Kalamata with the public transport. Very nice swimming pool
Review 91:Only one little thing to complain about. Although the room was cleaned every day the dishes or draining board/sink were never touched and breakfast tray from day one was still there mid-afternoon day 2. I don’t mind washing up after myself but the hotel should provide some cleaning equipment if that’s to be the case.
Review 92:The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bus just down the road was a great way of getting to town without overheating...The pool area is really lovely and was very quiet and relaxing throughout the day and the hotel is really good value for money. We ordered breakfast just for the first day and it was nice (boiled eggs, toast, coffee, fresh juice and cake) Nice touches of toiletries and slippers in the rooms
Review 93:Wifi variable, often not really usable.
Review 94:Spacious and comfortable accommodation. Helpful staff. Pleasant balcony with view.
Review 95:all
Review 96:nothing
Review 97:The hotel needs a bit of tlc to bring up the standard of decor.
Review 98:Very spacious room. Excellent view.
Review 99:the room that we had was close to the main road and hence was very noisy
Review 100:good value for the money
