Reviews for Camping Village Fabulous

Review 1:We stayed at the end of October so facilities weren't all open, however we loved the site. The restaurant was great value, staff all courteous and helpful and a great location for exploring Rome and Ostia.

Review 2:Did not like the walk to supermarket. Was dangerous to walk along with a 6yr old and two babies. Also didn't like there were no restaurants nearby so was stuck with the same menu all week. The Wi-Fi connection was terrible also.

Review 3:The children's pool was fabulous. My 6yr old loved it and so did my 1yr old. Also the kids entertainers were great too.

Review 4:Cabin very small and a long way from the facilities. Very large groups of teenagers staying that where noisy and running around until late at night

Review 5:New and clean cabin. Nice cafe/bar

Review 6:It's a big place (the camping vilage) so it's a bit hard to orientate in the place itself.

Review 7:clean, even though the place is small - for this price is very good. the staff speaks English well (and also - as we noticed - French),we had electricity problems because of the rain, a worker came in 10 minutes and fixed it. has everything you need in the kitchen including microwave.

Review 8:The wifi.. because you have to go near restaurants ecc. to connect, while on the other camping village you can connect anywhere..and always check the batteries.

Review 9:everything is good

Review 10:We were not aware that after 21st of Sept they consider the season to be closed therefore we were not able to get needed directions from the InfoPoint. The medical point was closed as well and we were in need. No bus schedule available so we had to wait to much for it.

Review 11:Cozy and friendly.

Review 12:No entertainment drinks and food very expensive most activities are closedi n September

Review 13:It was a beautiful place swimming pools excellent for young and old

Review 14:- Pool area opening hours, - Highway is too close to 2 person bungalows, traffic is very loud day and night, - No walkway from bus stop to camping, - No drinking glasses in bungalows, - Registration required for WiFi use.

Review 15:- Pool area - Good supermarket, - Restaurant

Review 16:Nothing - great - we will come back!

Review 17:Great location to Rome for sightseeing, great pool area, bar and restaurant. The site was very clean and tidy, plenty of space for parking and the mobile we stayed in had a good amount of space and good bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the bus stop is very close by to take you to the metro to get into the city.

Review 18:The mobile home is to small and without cattle.

Review 19:I liked that Centre of Rome and see are 30 min from the camping and I really liked the animation team they work really hard!

Review 20:Maids need to clean the cabin better as they were filty My cabin needed to be modernised more as it looked old

Review 21:Location is fabulous Restaurant is very nice

Review 22:Distance to rome is not clear on initial booking the description says it is a 25 min bus ride at end of camp site which is true but doesn't tell uou the bus drops you at a metro which is then another 20 min and quite scruffy. Straightforward once you know what you are doing.

Review 23:Safety and cleanliness of the pool excellent, lovely interesting camp site very large.

Review 24:only issue i had was the blonde staff member at the takeaway. Commented to myself and friend after we did not hear our number that we were lazy girls. This was not acceptable and i we took the pizza and left the bar to our accommodation as we felt she was cheeky to us. This is only one situation rest of staff were really nice. i would just suggest that the employee stay professional as we simply did not hear her.

Review 25:all staff where great from the restaurant to the bar and reception staff. the site was lovely and accommodation was clean and tidy. Emanuele i do believe his name was at the bar was so nice and really goes out his way to make you feel welcome. Will definitely be coming back!!!!!!!

Review 26:The staff especially on reception were not helpful and almost started off from a point of not wanting to help and didn't really progress from there. Food in restaurant could be better along with the service.

Review 27:The location was good especially the short drive from the airport.

Review 28:Restaurant appalling staff rude we waited 1 hour and 50 to have our starter, during which time we were offered the bill and coffee 3 times 1 main course never arrived the bill was inflated with items we had not ordered and never received!

Review 29:Luckily our arrival was delayed by 1 day and we left 1 day early, so although we paid for 3 nights only stayed for one! Leaving was the best part of the experience!

Review 30:Some families were noisy until midnight and campsite bins emptied before 7am so could disturb sleep.

Review 31:Accomodation was spotless. Fabulous pools and easy access to Rome. Helpful and knowlegable staff. Excellent gelatos and great value for money

Review 32:The location, in the middle of nowhere, very isolated! A car is a must. Not near beaches and all of them are private. Could provide more entertainment for children.

Review 33:Great swimming pools.

Review 34:Departure was a problem for us as we had an evening flight and room was only extendable from 10am to 12pm . A small problem for a great holiday

Review 35:location is great for trips into Rome or to coast. Tourist info and reception staff very helpful.

Review 36:Chalets basically clean but very tired and I need of refurbishment. Towels very thin and old. No bath mat. Better cooking facilities would have been good, particularly I view of the price.

Review 37:Met with daughter and her family - water/spa facilities were great for the children and a pleasure to share with them. Location good for travelling into Rome for sight seeing. Ice creams and lunch time 'fast food' reasonably priced. Little land train a great hit with young children. Air con in chalets was good - would have been unbearable without.

Review 38:Late check-in - only from 4pm

Review 39:The place is great for a peaceful holiday after a city tour! Only about an hour from the city center if you go by metro and a bus. Comfortable holiday homes. We booked a house with 3 bedrooms. The rooms are very small but nice. The kitchen was fully equiped. We didn't cook as there was a very nice restaurant, but there is also a good market where you can buy everything you need to cook at the house. The prices are cheaper than in Rome! The pool is huge! Children really loved the place!!! It took about 20 min from the camping to Fumicino airport.

Review 40:Bed was broken. Air con wasn't working. No linen changes even though we were there for 10 days.

Review 41:Fabulous animation team, facilities and general feel to the camp. My son loved the pools and would have been happy to stay swimming all the time! Very easy to get to central Rome and the beach.

Review 42:Overcrowding generally. You couldn't swim in the pool. The restaurant was awful (pizzas excluded). The waiters tried to pass off a cheap bottle of wine for the one that we ordered. The risotto came from a packet.

Review 43:This site is fine if you have kids, if not avoid it!

Review 44:Management could be improved in the restaurant - not an equal dustribution of tasks - no follow up to see if you want another drink or more food - very 'get them in get them out' - Manager quite rude to staff which was disappointing.

Review 45:Access to pool and ease of transport into room - polite staff willing to help.

Review 46:The only downside is during our visit the pool is really full!

Review 47:This was the second time that we've visited this campsite. This time we've stayed longer! We booked through booking.com same as before coz it offers free cancellation in case something came up during the dates that we've chosen to stay. Check-in was fast, they are really kind to let us have an early check-in since our mobile home is ready for occupancy. We are a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids... We got a chalet with 3 bedrooms, complete with kitchen, bathroom, AC and patio. We love our patio coz it was covered, the kids can play outside without them burning under the scorching heat of the sun... The place is clean, many trees that surround the camp that's why you could breath fresh air far from the hustle bustle of the city. The staffs are friendly, especially the entertainers who seems not to get tired from sunrise to sundown. They would approach you so that you'll know the program and activities of the day so that the kids and adults could participate. We've rented a go kart for my daughter 50€ deposit and 10€ for a day rent, not bad! Coz she enjoyed going around the camp with her go kart same with the other kids! Over all we had a nice stay, it's just during weekend the pool is full... Maybe they should add another pool in the future!

Review 48:The staff and receptionist were not friendly. Shower. No wifi. Cleanliness

Review 49:Swimming pool were perfect for the kids! And the place was really perfect for the whole family bonding.

Review 50:My dislike about place is the campsites attitude towards it's customers, they are not very helpful at all, and will try charge you for everything they can, its a bit over the top,

Review 51:Location is brilliant, really easy to get into Rome, bus , metro you're there within 30 mins,

Review 52:On offer there was an information about animals not accepted. Then after arrival many people with dogs. We'd come with ours too...

Review 53:Amazing how close to the city you can find so peaceful and relaxing place. Fantastic food! Not so crazy prices. Cats inside the strycture giving cosiness! We'll be back!

Review 54:I think it could be improved with information on activities in chalets or around site so that you know what date & time things are on. Such as football, foam parties etc. Bigger slides for older children would be great and a shuttle bus to the beach would be helpful.

Review 55:The site is excellent for families. Clean, safe and lots of fun. The chalets are good with generous verandas for sitting in the shade & the trees were ideal for shade too. We loved the Aqua Zumba!

Review 56:Great location with easy access to Rome. Ostia Antica is also close by. It's good idea to monitor transport strikes though - we had one while there and would have planned our days a bit differently, but still had a fabulous time!

Review 57:The. Cabin was small , beds has foam mattresses. We had booked a bigger cabin and was disappointed that we had 6 nights there comfort wise. A couple of nights would have been fine. No washing up liquid, tea towlels, bath mats, sufficient toilet rolls or microwave. Bus service is good but add an 1 -1/12 hours to your day when you go out. Pools really crowded by 11am. Would be good if pool could be open later in evening.

Review 58:Staff efficient and friendly. Offer airport transfers and free left luggage. Take away had good options, good food. Restaurant good. Supermarket on site has good selection. Shop and takeaway and restaurant not expensive.

Review 59:Location was good and while this year we didn't hire a car the local transport was very reliable. Facilities were very good and kids had great time.

Review 60:Poor Wifi system.Bar advertised Formula One being on TV - but it never showed F1. Not enough umbrellas at pool area.

Review 61:The overall atmosphere is great, the pool and night life is just right. It's a safe family environment. Info point staff amazing with knowledge and patience. Pools fab. Entertainment staff great.

Review 62:I don't like the closing time of the Pool too early maybe they will extend until 9pm.. And the grocery store.. It should close midnight itnis the Only one market in the area it should be open till midnight

Review 63:I like the location very cool!

Review 64:It's a very very busy campsite, as well as the Bungalows, there is a seasonal pitch, there are literally tents back to back over a massive space in the middle of the camp. staff work hard, but are overwhelmed, they try their best but don't have time to provide a good service. The pool area was heaving, even getting in the water without inadvertently hitting or kicking someone else was a challenge at times. Shade was a premium comfort that had to be fought for!

Review 65:The ice cream and entertainment (once we knew what we were doing) was favoloso :)

Review 66:It was very busy and quite a lot of noise during the night. Probably a bit small for 6 adults but we managed fine for 1 night.

Review 67:The unit was comfortable and clean and great for an overnight stay. Good value for money. The problem with gas plates was sorted our promptly by staff.

Review 68:Sites very close together, busy bus route to / from train station

Review 69:Pool for the kids, good facilities, clean cabin, overall exceeded my expectations, fairly easy to get into Rome

Review 70:Restaurant was good at start of week but deteriorated by the end of 2nd week. service was slow, e.g. side order arriving after meal was finished, and on two occasions food was cold and had to be sent back. Bungalow was a little small, similar to a mobile home, probably not suitable for rotund people. No oven or microwave supplied.

Review 71:Value for money. Good facilities, safe environment, clean accommodation, friendly staff, close to Rome and beach.

Review 72:The public transport to Rome is quite a journey, although possible.

Review 73:Huge swimming pool with shallow water and slides, perfect for kids and adults to play. Nice young, engaged staff to entertain the kids. Good efforts are made to make public transport easy.

Review 74:Waiting for the bus sometimes, WiFi not great but ok still worked, more variety of pasta sauces in restaurant!

Review 75:The property was spotless. Staff were very friendly it was nice to be out of the city and as it has a pool it was good too relax. Although it's out its actually easy to get into town using the public transport. The staff explained how to get in and out. Resturants food was fine similar to what you get in actual Rome.

Review 76:Onsite supermarket, although good it ran out a milk by the afternoon and closed from approx 11am-4pm every day! Not helpful when the next nearest one was a long walk away on an unpaved road!

Review 77:Loved the trees, kids swimming pool, Ice-cream

Review 78:poor choice/quality of food at pool cafe lack of pavement to bus stop!!!

Review 79:entertainment for children , pool very good for young children helpful staff

Review 80:The wifi was poor and only allowed you to surf for what seemed like a few minutes. Had to keep logging on.

Review 81:We were there to celebrate our friends 60th (16 of us) the catering and restaurant staff and manager went above and beyond to make sure he had a night to remember the food was absolutely gorgeous and more than we could finish. A grate time was had by all. The price of coffees, cocktails and takeaway food was very reasonable as was the ice creams. The site was very clean, the children's pool was fantastic very soft to walk on no sharp edges. The accommodation was basic but again clean with constant hot running water. We will definitely return at some point as lots more to see away from Rome. The bus and train journeys were good to get to places and a weeks travel card was on €24 to hop on and off as much as you like. Thank you Camping Fabulous for a brilliant stay see you again sometime.

Review 82:Thought the opening hours of the shop were a little limited. Ran out of essentials like bread & milk early in the day.

Review 83:What was there not to like? Great pool complex, fantastic chalet very spacious & well equipped. Bar & restaurant very reasonably priced and great food & drinks. Very friendly staff throughout the park. Very easy access to Rome by cheap public transport. A * throughout. Highly recommended.

Review 84:The walk to the bus to Rome was short, but along a dirt path. The bustook us forever to wait for. The metro was fine, but the bus to andfrom the metro was annoying. Busy and infrequent. It was about 35minutes into Rome if you got all the connections, took us more than 1.5hours on Sunday.

Review 85:Kids loved the pool and pool area. Playground was nice. Cabin porch waslovely. Close to Otisa Antica....very cool to visit.

Review 86:The stove was broken but you didn't fix it! When We arrived , it's cold and late! We can't even have hot drinking water? After 11pm..we can't park car inside..what the hell? When we check out early... We have to walk long way to car park in the such cold weather..

Review 87:Walking from the bus to the camp is a bit unsafe at night, and locating your house can be a mission

Review 88:The place is clean, and well situated for public transport via bus to the nearest Metro, the staff is VERY helpful.

Review 89:Not informing potential guests that the swimming pool and some other facilities were out of operation. We booked this place because of these only to arrive that they were out of use until end of month over three weeks later when we should have left. Some staff were too harsh on payments as if the guest was running away. Advise properly that you want payments on arrival so can be prepared ahead. That is not on your profile on booking.com. Don't expect guest to just know!

Review 90:Environment was good.

Review 91:The heating didn't work on the second night. The clothes dryer didn't dry the clothes after an hour of useage.

Review 92:The camping grounds were fantastic and relaxing to look at. Internet access was great. The food was fabulous too.

Review 93:The pool features like the large water slide in the corner were blocked off. There seemed to be no reason for this & the children would have enjoyed using it. No takeaway pizza from the restaurant and €3 for the tiniest portion of fries was quite outrageous.

Review 94:The site is stunning the tress really made it for us. The pool area was great too. Plenty of choice on where to sit etc. We met the lovely cats & kittens which made it extra memorable for our animal lover daughter. A fabulous spot for relaxing & sunbathing in peace & quiet all a 30 minute ride away from central Rome. We're already planning next years holiday.

Review 95:The bunglow is a shed there was a fridge and nothing else ( no glasses, plates, cutlery , kettle) . Nothing was open, and some of the waiting staff were less than helpful. It boasted a fantastic week where all i found was disapointment.

Review 96:The pool for the kids.

Review 97:upon arrival no service. Tab water is not drinkable while they said it is and we became ill very far away and high costs for transport to tourist attractions. after everything went wrong they could not give us 5 min. later check out

Review 98:one lady was friendly but could not helpe the catastrophe

Review 99:There was nothing to dislike

Review 100:We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our holiday. The accommodation was good and well equipped. The swimming pools were excellent and there was more than enough lounge chairs available around the pool areas. The supermarket was reasonably priced and stocked a good range. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 101:Pool closing time is far too early at 6:00pm. Shop closes in the middle of the day then early at night - very inconvenient.

Review 102:Canvas staff (Kevin etc) were very helpful and gave some excess material when we were stuck (towel & washing liquid) - very helpful!! 3 bed mobile home is new and in excellent condition.

Review 103:I need to send an E-Mail to your attention with regard to my experience in this beautiful place. Where do I find your E-Mail address? Please indicate. Thank You.

Review 104:It is actually a real camping site with many many campers in tents of all sorts and some cabins which are very small

Review 105:The pools for the kids were great and practically the only thing that made the stay ok

Review 106:Accomodation, Should not be able to advertise one type of bungalow then allocate you something totally different. We left days early and booked into a hotel in Rome

Review 107:Swimming pool

Review 108:the take away food was bad. Pizzas were not cooked properly and the ingredients were difficult to find on the pizza.

Review 109:The young Indian/asian lad on the reception was very very helpful. He is a credit to the company, I cannot praise him more

Review 110:Walk from camp site to bus stop needs to be addressed, no pavement and have to walk in single file on rough terrain.

Review 111:Great for all ages, lovely grounds. Swimming pools were really nice, safe and clean. Good info centre and shop, pizza take away wad good.

Review 112:The restaurant service was very slow and very pricey.

Review 113:Fantastic site: Great staff especially the animation team, good supermarket - not over priced, awesome fresh pizzas and ice cream! Great lagoon ideal for all ages esp when playing ball games. Excellent chalet (caravan to us!) Well located for getting bus/train into Rome. Would definately visit again and reccommend to families.

Review 114:We've booked 1 chalet and 1 bungalow for our group. The staff were really nice coz they upgraded the bungalow to another chalet without paying an extra charge. It was clean, we had a slight problem at the bathroom but once ive informed the staff, they did repair it immediately. We did enjoy our stay coz they had animation for the kids and live band and dinner buffet for the adults, and to end the night they even had a fireworks display!

Review 115:You could hear every word form the next room and the trailer shook a little whenever anyone moved... So you knew what everyone was doing in the night!

Review 116:Simplicity' east to get around, friendly communal atmosphere.

Review 117:Phones have to be charged in the communal areas so sometimes have to wait for a socket to become available.

Review 118:The location and view is beautiful, a very short walk to Piazzale Michelangelo and the rose gardens and a lovely although slightly steep walk into Florence. The bar area again with a lovely view, is pretty lively and well priced with friendly staff and there were a lot of fellow backpackers staying.

Review 119:Too many Dutch people during the World Cup. It's like an entire Dutch village went on vacation together at the same time. It's ok, until you realise that you have no place to sit because they have flooded the restaurant.

Review 120:Stay the night here instead of Rome. It's a great location just outside of Rome but in the middle of a forest of beautiful tall trees. Its the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Rome. You definitely WONT pay 42 Euro for a couple ice creams here, and they wont try to rip you off. You don't have to rent a car because there is a bus that takes you right into Rome. We rented one anyway because the bus is very crowded and after long days walking around Rome we wanted to get showered and relax asap, which is what this campground is all about. The campground has everything. The pizza is great, they have good beer also. The staff are excellent. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable, especially at the front desk. The place has people of all ages. Great for everyone. If you are a light sleeper, tell the front desk and they will move you away from the children's activity area.

Review 123:The grocery market in the camp is expensive so make sure to bring your supplies with you or go to the grocery down the street.

Review 124:Location is great. Just right outside of proper Rome.

Review 125:No backup if anything goes wrong, eg cigarette machine / cash machine breaks down no backup on site. Same can of minerals in onsite shop 65c cost €2 in bar/restaurant (takeaway price)

Review 126:Verry convenient location not too near not to far from Rome. Ample ameneties if you wanted to stay in village to unwind from sightseeing. Will defenitelly return.

Review 127:Staff at reception didn't tell you about the wifi at check in. No chemist on site or transport to chemist. Terrible road to walk to the bus on, very dangerous

Review 128:The restaurant

Review 129:We found that the buses werent particularly frequent.. took 90 minutes on most trips to or from Rome. Wifi was too expensive. The camping in Venice was better suited to young travellers.. this place is better suited to families, which waant us!

Review 130:Looks like good facilities and activities for families. We had a nice little cabin with a fridge. Campsite is quite pretty. good pool area

Review 131:Bus ride to train to Rome was generally packed , hot and uncomfortable. Staff in information Centre a bit unfriendly and unhelpful.

Review 132:Loved the calmness after a day out in Rome. Great facilities. Pool fantastic. Staff in reception and restaurants very nice and helpful.

Review 133:too far from city not good enough bus service not enough tourist info at site taxi to and from site very expensive

Review 134:food excellent prices on site very good

Review 135:The only bad thing I would say is that although one of the lifeguards was very attentive at the pool, the other two good have kept a much more watchful eye on the children and young babies in the pool, as a very young child fell in and it took a stranger to raise the alarm. Fortunately all ended well...

Review 136:The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Although the cabin was quite small it had very good air conditioning and a picnic table outside - great value for money! The pool with beds was great to return to in the afternoon after sightseeing in Rome you could then really switch off and cool down!. The restaurant in the evenings was really pretty with a great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly and efficient staff and excellent value for money. I would strongly recommend Camping Village Fabulous!

Review 137:the food at restaurante was basic enough, no sauces or vegetables with main dishes. not great value for money waiters/waitresses very pushy at different bars etc.....

Review 138:loved ice cream, loved pools and loungers and umbrellas loved location loved that wifi was only available at pools and eating areas.....

Review 139:It can be noisy as there were quite a few school parties made up of teenagers

Review 140:Fabulous location with excellent public transport links into Rome. Pool area was great for kids

Review 141:Need better tables and chairs outside caravan. Better beds.

Review 142:Staff were friendly and helpful facilities excellent. Pools lovely. Near enough to Rome and fairly easy to get to.

Review 143:Staff,clean less,comfortexcelent
