Just 2,150 feet from the beach, Hermes is a family-run hotel located on the hillside of Kefalos overlooking the Aegean Sea. Surrounded by a lush garden, the pool offers a sun terrace with loungers and umbrellas.
Featuring a furnished balcony with sea and village view, all rooms offer air-conditioning and a fridge. They have floor-to-ceiling windows and simple furnishing. The private bathroom includes a shower and a hairdryer.
Hermes Hotel provides a comfortable lounge with satellite TV and a designated smoking area. Guests have at their disposal courts for table tennis, tennis and billiards. BBQ facilities are also available.

Review 1：The owner of hotel wanted get pay only in cash. In description all room have air condition. In real life you can't turn on air conditioner without additional pay of the remote control.

Review 3：Lovely location and wonderful staff who couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is family run and friendly and not over the top. The rooms were very nice and clean. Lovely breakfast and service. We have been twice and will definitely be going again.

Review 4：Breakfast. It is disappointing when you have 10/10 hotel but can not enjoy this one part of the day. Two slices of toast + jam and coffee is not a breakfast. You can purchase an additional meal from the menu, but what you will get is even more disappointment. For us breakfast is an important meal of the day so I decided to order sausage + egg which was 2,5 Euro. and I got sausage + egg, nothing more. I really wish for hotel administration to change this breakfast policy. If they don't, well I would suggest to visit one of the cafes just uphill in Kefalos.

Review 5：The most beautiful place to stay in KOS Island. Astonishing view, plenty of space for car parking even in the shadow. Offers lots of activities: pool, tennis courts, even car rent. If you need a bike, buggy or quad the rent office is just next to the hotel. They even have a garden, do not miss a chance to visit it in the evening.

Review 6：Conversations of the neighbouring guests sitting in their balconies can be heard in detail if the door is left open and may disturb those who prefer silence, you have to pray not to have noisy neighbours. We didn't liked that the balconies are easily accesible from outside, as it's a hotel, not a private home. Noise from the nearby road is also a negative. Breakfast is fixed and basic indeed (roasted bread, marmelade, cereals with milk and hot drinks, there are choices for an additional payment, but still limited) , but have to be realistic and fair: one should not expect varied buffet for such a low accomodation price. No toiletries in the bathroom. No TV in the room (we didn't needed, but it would be better if available)

Review 7：Cleanliness is maintained thruought the hotel. Our room was cleaned up every day. Owners are friendly and take care of their guests ( changed our room in the ground floor upon request after the first night) Provides basic breakfast for a room rate. Some delicious meals for dinner are served in the restaurant (don't expect much variety, as hotel serves only its guests). A good place to stay for those who would like to explore the westernmost part of the island, best beaches are within 10 min. drive (without own transportation it wouldn't be so convenient)

Review 8：Charged extra for the internet. Included breakfast only comprised of two slices of toast or a tiny bowl of cereals, but the waitress was really nice.

Review 11：Everything, we travelled as a couple with our two sons and their girlfriends, one is 30 and the other 25. The hotel was spotless the owners could not do enough for you. The location and views from the balcony/bar are breathtaking. There are lots of steps which will put some people off.But by the end of your stay, you will have got used to it. We were half board, the food was tremendous, we had swordfish - delicious! The breakfasts could be better but was adequate. Instead of bread they should use the crusty bread that Diana baked! Otherwise the food was really nice. All in all we had a great time, we will be back. The Johnson family.

Review 14：Mailed the hotel 2 days before arrival,whith a request of getting our 2 rooms close to each other and to get info how to get from Kos Town to Kefalos.. No reply! Our rooms were as far from each other as it could get: 2-3 minuts walk up the stairs/hill!! The family room we got was in the main building,right above the Bar,Reception,Pool and tabletennis room. It was a extremly noisy place to be. Beds were uncomfortable. Bath was very basic ,,ripped from towelhangers,showercurtain etc. Breakfast included is Continental..very very basic: 2 menus :1) Toast: 2 slices of toast 2 bricks of jam 1 brick of butter instant coffee or thea and "juice" 2) cereal stuff which we didnt explore..! But you can buy all kind of additional omelets yougurt etc starting form 2€. The wifi was supposed to be free of charge...it was.. We got 2/5€ tickets and 1/10€ ticket which would give us (5 persons)ca 5 hours of free wifi for 6 days not a lot when you have 3 teens:) When we should pay,,the owner allready had taken the money from my creditcard,which i found strange,normal procedure would be ,to do the payment when i was present.. 2 star hotel?

Review 15：Nice view from hotel to bay. Pool is fine and large. Staff nice..and hardworking. Rooms in new part of the hotel are ok.

Review 38：We loved our stay at the Hermes Hotel. The owners, Diana and Sebastian, are the kindest and most welcoming hosts we have ever met. They went out of their way to help us and we experienced real Greek hospitality. Diana made us lots of lovely little Easter biscuits and home-baked bread and cheese pies and we enjoyed our breakfast on the lovely terrace. The hotel is beautifully situated, five minutes walk to town and the beach. The views across the bay are breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers. We had a patio area with table and chairs which was nice for sitting out in the sunshine. Everything was kept spotlessly clean by the friendly maid who came in each day. The hotel has its own car hire provision so we hired a car directly from them - it was easily arranged and the rates were very good. Diana and Sebastian also provided airport transfers for us - a real godsend. We loved everything about this hotel and cannot wait to go back. Thank you!

Review 40：This is our fourth time back to Hermes Hotel in six years so hopefully this will reflect our opinion . We like the friendliness of the owners and staff, the cleanliness of the hotel which never faulters, the value for money and the location which overlooks the bay.

Review 41：It would have been good to have some yoghurt and honey available with the inclusive breakfast. No irons/ironing boards available. Both of these were very minor niggles though.

Review 42：Hermes has a good location, less than 10 min walk to the shops and beach. Good views of the bay, clean modern rooms with a small fridge. Our rate also included air conditioning which was a great bonus. Very welcoming and friendly owners and staff. The whole place looked very fresh and clean and there was a great general atmosphere. This is a good, quality hotel and we would definitely return.
