Reviews for Spa Club Dead Sea Hotel

Review 1:sauna in the spa was a little small, room was old and not so well looked after, not so clean in the hall ways

Review 2:The spa was nice and the treatments were very good, breakfast was very good, tea in the lobby in the afternoon

Review 3:The two dressing gowns I had in my room had quality issues: one had a sizable hole in the chest area and the other had the belt covered in something red. Not really 4-star hotel like. The supplied slippers are low quality.

Review 4:Very good SPA facilities, excellent swimming pool with heated water from the Dead Sea that's open till 22.00, very good buffet breakfast with a wide variety of cheeses.

Review 5:Our room request was initially not met citing no availability which didn't turn out to be the case. Internet is inconsistent.

Review 6:Relaxing experience at the Dead Sea Indoor pool with Dead Sea water

Review 7:The room service is not very good, we always had to call and ask for the towels or bathrobe.

Review 8:Amazing spa, which is open until 22 every day. Good food for the breakfast and dinner. Beach is across the street from the hotel

Review 9:There was no chance to get late check out, even the hotel was not fully booked. I heard every word, what my neighbors were saying, probably because that the rooms could be connected. No cocktails or good wine in the hotel bar. We went for another hotel bar. The same breakfast and dinner offer every day.

Review 10:Location is really convenient if you go for Dead Sea. There is free parking.

Review 11:The facility is old but average. The cleaning staff was not friendlily at all and cannot speak English.

Review 12:The location is good, very near the dead sea. We lost a scarf but was found by the hotel staff.

Review 13:The food was not good enough... breakfast on Shabbat was all cold (eggs, jachnun and borekas should not be cold!), and the dinner wasn't much good either. The restaurant tries hard but really needs a better chef, and better trained staff making sure you have what you want.

Review 14:Nice smaller hotel, not one of the huge ones... the Spa is great and overall the room is OK.

Review 15:The cleanliness inside room should be better, or even more then better. Wifi access was not good (but it was not the serious problem for us at this time).

Review 16:The large and enough comfortable room. Good SPA with no extra charge. Nice and comfortable tea/bar/relax area. Good breakfast.

Review 17:The staff was very sweet and eager to help out. We liked that we were able to check out at 11, and still use the spa facilities until we decided to go. The beds were comfy, and the breakfast was delicious!

Review 18:the cleanliness of the public areas could have been better; the bed was not quite comfortable for us....

Review 19:SPA facilities opening hours;food; room design

Review 20:Our number was busy, so staff of the hotel apologized and moved us to suit with two rooms + gave us free dinners and late check out. 17% less for a spa if you're tourist + 5% :) amazing location near all the shops.

Review 21:Food service staff not so friendly. Facilities were pretty clean, but somewhat dated and worn.

Review 22:Hotel reception, spa and security staff were friendly, and helpful. Even helped with changing a flat tire.

Review 23:There was a bag of trash outside our room from the day we arrived and stayed there the entire time. The chicken wings at dinner still had feathers on them- yuck!! There were dirty, old carpets in the hallways.

Review 24:The size of the room. The pool and spa were nice.

Review 25:That I didn't have more time to enjoy amenities!!!

Review 26:The indoor pool with Dead Sea water! At night the ambiance was great with the live music! The food was wonderful and I loved interacting with the chef! Learned to make shakshuka!

Review 27:Spa closed 30 minutes prior to announced time, as"they need to clean"!; asked reception to help with booking a restaurant (their WiFi was horrible, so had issues doing it ourselves) and they refused as they "don't work together"; parking lot extends to a dumpster area uphill where I was really concerned about safety and tires; bathroom in a bad shape, room could use refurbishing, and this list is not exhaustive... these people could really do with a course on what 'hospitality' actually means - sorry to write such a negative review but were indeed disappointed

Review 28:reception staff were friendy

Review 29:Great hotel, very helpful staff ( we came a 4 hours before a registration, but the girl from the reception in 15 min called me to inform that our room is ready. Spa center open until 22:00.

Review 30:Restaurant was closed, as well as a bar. SPA closed early, without previous note. Asked for towels, no one came to bring it. Durty tables in the tea room. Could pay less for the same servise in Oasis hotel....

Review 31:Comfortable rooms

Review 32:Poor service, staff didn't tell us about all the facilities and our room was not arrange at all for our honey moon although in advance notice. Instead we got a dirty room. The private beach has been closed after 6 pm even during hot days, when people coming out from the hotel only after 5-6pm.

Review 33:spa was really good

Review 34:The receptionist Anastasia at the front desk, doesn't help us for the payment for the check out. I asked for another receptionist to help us to pay the amount. Best regards and thank you!

Review 35:Private beach -but not fully attended too at all- no pure water facility in the beach (unlike most of the private beaches in the dead sea). Tiny pool full of people

Review 36:Great Breakfast Lovely staff Beautiful Spa

Review 37:We had prepaid this hotel when we booked it. When we checked out, all 3 couples were charged again. We were on a tight time frame checking out, and straightening out this mess was a nightmare.

Review 38:The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and modern.

Review 39:Bathroom was very disappointing and looked dated. No late night food service

Review 40:Hotel is right next to the beach so ideal for the early trip into the dead sea. The dead sea indoor water pool is a nice touch. The spa was very good and although we didn't use the outdoor pool it was very popular. Rooms were reasonable size and OK condition.

Review 41:When we wanted to have a light meal in the Oasis lounge, it took a while to find staff to serve us.

Review 42:We loved the location just across the road from a private beach. The complimentary afternoon tea in the lovely Spa Club lounge was excellent. The man on the welcome Desk, Nuriel, was pleasant and helpful.

Review 43:no food after 9pm???? awful...didn't know this and as a female travelling alone and not knowing the area, was hard to find somewhere

Review 44:room, bed, space, pool, spa, free tea, private beach

Review 45:Free wifi is available which is good, however the connection could have been a bit more stable.

Review 46:Clean hotel with a very nice layout. The location is excellent, right next to the beach and shops. The hotel has a nice private beach. Breakfast was available until 12 with a good variety of food which is great if you want to sleep in.

Review 47:Security was lacking in the hotel as a lady managed to get into our room whilst we were sleeping.

Review 48:Excellent breakfast and dinner. Restaurant staffs very friendly and helpful. Spa is amazing - jacuzzi, dead sea swimming pool and 3 types of saunas. Location is great - not far from the beach and there is a shuttle available. Rooms have a breath-taking view of the sea. Highly recommended.

Review 49:We asked for checking out at 12:00 but that was not possible

Review 50:The food was excelent and the room was clean. We were there just for a night and we liked it.

Review 51:We felt very welcome, the atmosphere was realy good, with free cookies to the room and lots of nice Israeli tea. Fresh juice and fruits after the spa. Real holidays!!!

Review 52:Cell phone are not allowed in the hotel but no signs. No cocktails are offered at the bar.

Review 53:Location is great. The stuff is very helpful, Special to the Manager Revital that helped us to arrange my wife's birthday. Food is good, but average in quality. It is not a fancy resort but it is a great quite place to relax and have some spa treatments. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice size. No balconies in the room.

Review 54:The so-called "after sales service" was non existant. We found a bathroom scale in our room. Great. It was not working. Tried calling reception. They did not understand what we were talking about and did nothing to repair it despite 3 phone calls. The bath plug was non functional. When I complained a man arrived to see what I was concerned about. The room maid who delivered a rubber mat to prevent the bath water running out, threw it at me as if to say that it was "my fault" that there was a problem.

Review 55:The staff seemed helpful when we checked in. The accommodation was clean and tidy. The hotel was well placed to visit the beach across the road.

Review 56:Many employees could not communicate in English

Review 57:Our experience was totally enjoyable. Accommodations were roomy and easily provided ample space for three adults. Our package included dinner and breakfasts which were delicious and unlimited. Would highly recommend.

Review 58:the room was hot even with AC on full blast, it also had a lot of damage due to water on the ceiling so this did not give the room a very nice feel, made it look kind of dingy and dirty even though the room was clean. Also the hotel staff was not very responsive or attentive. you can get run down by a staff member pushing a cart into the elevator if you were in the way. For breakfast you had to get your own coffee because that was not what the staff did, they only would clean up the tables. Asking for extra towels in your room or a different size robe was also an issue. However, the spa staff was wonderful and attentive to your needs, almost as if they worked for a different company altogether.

Review 59:the spa and the beach

Review 60:Spa and pool resembles a hotbath in Moscow circa 1955. Most guests are Russians in their 70s and 80s. Pool closes at 6:30. The 'beach' is awful. Plastic beach chairs and not much else. Showers work well. Rooms acceptable.

Review 61:Convenience to Dead Sea; decent breakfast

Review 62:I arranged for a taxi to pick me up from the airport. When no-one was there I called the hotel and eventually got through....the 'taxi' was a minibus with people going to other hotels. Waited three hours at the airport before it left. Room was dirty when I arrived and no bottled water or minibar available. It is not adults only as described, the outdoor pool is full of kids. Indoor pool packed out and very small, not at all as it looks in the photo. No ice available for drinks during a heatwave. Exercise classes were usually cancelled, yoga teacher of the one class I attended was wonderful but class took place in a conference room full of chairs! Not very zen.

Review 63:Breakfast was amazing. Dinner buffet also very good. Private beach was nice. I had a great massage.

Review 64:Spa area was quite small and not recently renovated Did not enjoy the spa treatments too much Not the best place for young people

Review 65:Perfect location Food was good - buffet style Reception staff was very friendly

Review 66:Mattresses and pillows are not very comfortable In the gym there is no instructor

Review 67:The members of the staff are very kind and helpful. The team SPA highly professional and helpful. The room was clean and staffed Food is fresh and testy

Review 68:The spa was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were wonderful. The overall atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend this spa when visiting the Dead Sea.

Review 69:Overbuilt. Tacky. Stuffy room with small window you have to directly stand in front of to see outside. No balcony. Fan broken in bathroom=humid

Review 70:The proximity to the sea shore

Review 71:- The position of the hotel: it's quite abandoned, it has its main entrance on the side - I'm sure that it was built as one hotel with the Oasis hotel and then it had been divided to two separate hotels maybe for financial reasons, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the guests that you pay a lot of money and you enter from the side- the same withe the car parking: it's quite strange, there's only a quite small place (which was full when we arrived) so we had to go up to a small hill full of sand - like end of the world... I hope it's temporary...- already in check in we got wrong key, it was by chance that I checked and noticed that the manual key had a different number that on the card - okay, it happens- I asked late check out already in the reservation, I got confirmation, but during check in, when I was checking it, I realized that there was no sign of it in the reservation, and actually after the normal check out time our electronic key (card) didn't work.- the meals were quite usual what is quite disappointing, I was expecting an experience but it was only food...- both on dinner and the breakfast a waiter collected everything from the table even the plate of I was eating, and when we went to have more food, he took everything from the table, and during the dinner, a waiter poured wine on me, and actually I don't remember that he would say sorry or he would do anything to give me the feeling to assume that he was sorry, which is already enough to give a very negative reputation to this hotel- in the lentils on breakfast there were ants, we reported even twice, because after the first time nothing happened - this is strange as well - just like they don't care...

Review 72:The spa with the two kinds of sauna, jacuzzi and two kinds of normal pool, the close distance from the sea and the tea corner when there were cookies

Review 73:Nothing bad per se, just bear in mind that as it is a lower price option, it has smaller windows, the beach is across the street, the rooms are not opulent, etc.

Review 74:Comfortable beds, helpful staff, convenient location, GREAT price

Review 75:I have no idea where they got the main picture of pool used on the booking.com site. It's completely misleading, the pic of people in small indoor pool is the accurate one. It's really more of a 3.5 star hotel - not a 4*. When we arrived they couldn't find our booking and even when showed them on my computer it took some time for them to get it. Although I'd booked 2 rooms in separate names they put both in my name which led to lot of confusion re bills. After check-in we were left to fend for ourselves - pointed down a corridor, not told or shown where to go and took some time to find lift. The 'deluxe' rooms weren't particularly deluxe - just bit bigger with 'spa bath'. The views are all the same - a smallish full length corner window overlooking road and sea. (Don't think you can lie in bed looking at sea!) Some staff were quite rude. When I asked the manager politely why there were children in the restaurant when it was 'no under 18s' he was quite dismissive, saying 'there won't be any tomorrow', which there weren't as a the hotel filled up - they then put someone at reception in our hotel (rather than the main reception shared with sister hotel). The children did return for meals on our last night! All a bit haphazard. The floor in waiting room for treatments was v greasy and I, and a few other people, had serious falls. They need to put up a warning sign. I felt the manager and staff were under a lot of pressure. Few spoke English. At one point there was spilt water in the main corridor which I pointed out to manager saying I was a journalist reviewing hotel - whereupon he immediately dealt with it and I received very good service from him. When the main reception told us we could only get taxi to airport at 8.30 or 11.30 - not 10.30 as wanted, I went to manager who arranged 10.30 taxi. I think it was a language problem - particularly as they rang me at 8.

Review 76:Perfect location and wonderful to be able to wander across road in bath robe to the private beach on Dead Sea. Therapists excellent and v professional. Generally they kept to the no over 18s, no mobiles rule. Wi-fi worked perfectly. Food was much better than expected. Nice outdoor space next to restaurant - could eat outside. Spacious separate indoor seating area for lounging around, with herbal teas all day and free snacks at tea time. Very laid back with generally 'homely' feel. The indoor Dead Sea water pool looked far to small (it was shared with next door hotel) but in fact was fine - lovely and warm. Also had a jacuzzi. Mainly 'mature' clientele. Good yoga, aqua-pilates classes - even 'laughter yoga'. Small and intimate hotel. Mainly 'mature' clientele, very friendly. Also free gym and well located outdoor pool (at back on grassy hill as opposed to some other hotels where pools were out front by road). Staff in dining room were efficient and coped well with varying influx of guests. Went with friend but would be happy to go on my own - several people were travelling solo - as atmosphere very relaxed. Spent 5 nights and could easily have stayed another 2-3 days without getting bored and if I was going to the area again would choose this hotel now I know the ropes. Some of the staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay in a 'deluxe' room if I was staying more than 2 days. A Kosher hotel which is good is you're Kosher (though I couldn't work one of the lifts on Shabbath). After a bumpy start the manager was very helpful and we both felt very at home in and fond of the hotel.

Review 77:the amount of food offered was excellent but the taste texture and temperature could have been much better. the dinner in the hot chaffing dishes were dried out and not hot just warm. In the spa area the shower room was very slippery

Review 78:the spa

Review 79:all good

Review 80:The staff were very helpful and accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. The food was good. The hotel was spotlessly clean. the Turkish bath, Jacuzzi and private beach were fantastic. A superb place to recharge and rest. Highly recommended.

Review 81:FOOD was not even fair, the regular dining room was closed so had to eat at Oasis, very little selection and what was available was tasteless, hot foods were lukewarm, service non existent, you had to get your own coffee or drinks it was extremely difficult for me as I am handicapped and it was quite evident as I used a walker, no one bothered to ask if I needed any assistance bar in the Oasis was poorly stocked with multiple items on drink menu not there altho bartender was nice, she could neither speak nor understand English even to ordering a simple glass of beer bar had no change, bartender had to run to lobby to get change after every customer I would only recommend the rooms and pool, for food I would go elsewhere.

Review 82:room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom clean, wi--fi worked well, good selection of cable channels, the salt water pool in house was nice and enjoyable. handicapped bathroom on the lobby level of the oasis was clean and comfortable to use (I am handicapped) the pool also had accommodations for the handicapped but no handicap accommodations in roooms

Review 83:Room was poor, bed was good!

Review 84:Spa was nice but small. I expected bigger if I needed to believed the pictures. Food was ok, we had better for this price.

Review 85:the entire hotel requires refurbising.

Review 86:food was tasty and variety was adequate.staff was attentive and understood english..spa was delightful turkish hammam was our favorite place

Review 87:Good value for the reasonable price for this area The staff are all very friendly and helpful,. The food is very good . The excellent spa facilities which are included in the price. The rooms are comfortable. The convenient starting point for exploring the sights of the Dead Sea.

Review 88:Room cleaning, changing the sheets only once in 8 days, If you were in the room when the lady came to clean, she always have something to say, and sometimes she not come back for cleaning the room or to arrange the sheets on the bed.

Review 89:SPA treatments was excellent, top physiotherapists and physiotherapy massage, TEA time - very relaxing & nice area

Review 90:Dated facilities and (except for the great hotel manager) the staff at the reception desk was extremely cold and unattentive. Finally, very expensive for what you get back.

Review 91:The hotel manager was lovely. The heated pool with Dead Sea water not to be missed. Breakfast was also good.

Review 92:The roof-top Solarium needs new sun-beds and furniture. Most of the furniturs is broken and worn out.

Review 93:Adults only, Delicious Middle Eastern food (prices are for half board); Israeli buffet breakfast open until midday; Use of excellent Spa and gym facilities included in the price; Free tea/coffee in rooms; Free leaf tea bar in lobby bar; All rooms have Dead Sea view; Beach just across the road; Excellent friendly English speaking staff; Free wi-fi; Clean, comfortable rooms; The perfect location for a Winter holiday. Where else can you get 8 hours a day sunshine in 30 degrees C, only 5 hours flight from Manchester in late November!

Review 94:Too many Russians. Even personell was Russian and we were given answers in Russian! Food in the restaurant was like a factory. No fresh food served. Stay out of here!

Review 95:It took a long time to check in as there was only one desk and the bedwas rather hard for our liking.

Review 96:The staff were absolutely fantastic and the hotel was in a superblocation. Breakfast and dinner were included which was a nice surpriseand the food was amazing.

Review 97:Staff attitude, no greetings, no smile, no attention, no English (all F&B and Housekeeping staff - even the Supervisors) No bar service, waiting 3 times, nobody was there to serve us Not enough sun bed and chair on the not really private beach Basl (F &B Supervisor) was rude

Review 98:Breakfast Dinner Maria & Nastasya were friendly and helpful at Front desk Coffee, tea making facilities Tea room Spacious room Free wifi Tv channels Check out was quick and the receptionist with glasses was nice and friendly

Review 99:Solarium is small and dirty, it looks as it hasn't been cleaned for a year. Sunbeds and chairs in solarium, at pool and even in spa needs to be clean too. Slow wifi.

Review 100:Nice interior, big comfortable beds, long breakfast from 8 am till noon. Adults only. Free tasty tea with mint and honey in lobby.

Review 101:In the area outside the spa there is a sign that smoking is forbidden. In spite of that there were some that smoked there. That was dissapointing for guests who would like to sit there and relax. Unfortunately evening concerts were far from the quality that one might expect in Israel.

Review 102:I've enjoyed every minute at Spa Club hotel. Excellent location and food. Very friendly staff, ready to help with everything one might need. I would like especially mention Alyona at the bar, Eli - the waiter and Arkady at reception.

Review 103:I stayed 3 nights and they did not change the bed even once and did not clean the room properly. Poor customer services, that do not match 4 stars hotels world standards

Review 104:Private beach, excellent food, nice touch - tea and apples availability in the bar, good size of room, lot's of TV channels in English, Hebrow and Russian

Review 105:Walls and carpets appear a little bit worn and need renovation.

Review 106:Quietness, location, very copious and plenty breakfast and diner, comfort of the room and also the bathroom, marvellous view on the DeadSea.

Review 107:staff are rude and uncooperative... re providing beach towels and English newspapers etc. The restaurant for spa club was closed therefore we were combined with oasis restaurant.. the staff were exceptionally rude and the manager refused to turn on the airconditioning

Review 108:Hotel has excellent Spa with all the possible services. Dinner was good and there were a lot of variety of the food. I recommend this hotel to older people and to families. As a solo travel I also enjoyed very much.

Review 109:Restaurant/Dining room somewhat under-dimensioned - gets crowded at breakfast and dinner. Room a little musty - maybe poor air conditioning, or perhaps showing its age. Ein Bokek as a whole was rather soulless: high-rise hotels and nothing else. Not the sort of place you'd want to stay very long.

Review 110:Pleasant staff and services. Room quite well appointed, with robes, etc. Location good, with private beach. Nice pool, too. Tea room was a positive touch.

Review 111:we paid $ 285 for one night and the bath was completely dirty, the carpet old and stained, so they changed the room, but the second had the same problems. After 1 hour we were moved to a newer facility nearby but lower class ...

Review 112:the proximity to the private beach

Review 113:wi-fi, wi-fi, wi-fi

Review 114:staff, meal, location, tea room

Review 115:Spa,tea room

Review 116:Limited parking, rooms a little tired and outdated.

Review 117:Spa pool, breakfast, location, staff in reception

Review 118:Don't like the foods

Review 119:Very good location with a private beach.

Review 120:Spa facilities were attractive; tea lounge a nice extra Food was tasty & well presented bathroom very spacious comfortable bedroom

Review 121:I think generally the staff isn't very friendly or helpful.

Review 122:Room was nice...spa too....breakfast too

Review 123:Location is nearby Dead Sea.

Review 124:Hotel seems not well-maintained

Review 125:I liked the staff of the hotel

Review 126:The showers in the Spa area need to be fixed

Review 127:Nothing

Review 128:Organized, relaxed beautiful atmosphere. Great food. Beautiful hotel..5 star

Review 129:All good

Review 130:Friendliness & helpfulness of staff, location & facilities

Review 131:food smell in the room noise from the air condition

Review 132:All the rest

Review 133:Beach, Breakfast, Tea

Review 134:Not great air conditioning in room! Would have liked the outdoor pool to be open at night.
