Set in Caltagirone's historical centre, Girosa is a B&B 10 minutes' walk from the Scalinata di Santa Maria del Monte, the town's famous ceramic steps. There is free Wi-Fi in rooms and a guarded car park nearby.
Girosa's rooms have many of their original features and were home to Franciscan nuns in the 17th century. Elegant and spacious, they all feature air conditioning and private bathrooms. Some also have a small kitchenette.
A sweet buffet breakfast is available daily, including a selection of organic food. Savoury items and traditional pastries are available on request.
All of Caltagirone's churches, monuments and museums are just a short walk away from Girosa, set in the city's main street. The train and bus station and Gravina Hospital are all 5 minutes' drive away.
Girosa's staff can organise guided tours of Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Piazza Armerina and also book taxis for you. The B&B has been awarded the Ruralità Mediterranea quality mark by the European Union. Airport transfers can be organised on request.

Review 1：Very helpful staff. The owners are very kind and take care of everything. Even if you have any problem with transport to another city, they can help you. The localization is very comfortable and close to the centro storico.

Review 10：Be warned that Caltagirone is VERY hilly with lots of stairs and angled roads. It's navigable from Girosa without a car, but expect to do a lot of climbing :)

Review 11：Girosa is a family-run B&B consisting of nine rooms in total, some of which are located separately to the main building. The room I was in was pretty much a separate apartment with kitchen, located directly above the famous Caltagirone staircase. Very centrally located with a lot of great restaurants nearby. The owner Rafaelle is very friendly and offers transport to and from the train/bus station for a very reasonable price of 5 euro. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Review 15：It was absolutely super, we had a great stay here. Quick check-in, helpful staff and a simple but tasty breakfast with home made sicilian marmalade!
